Still looking.

@Bogart - which country are you in? I assume the US as you didn't say.

Yes, US, east coast.

I will offer 26.5 BTC for the stack, or 1.25 BTC per LX150, shipped to me in the US with insurance.  Payment by escrow.

I don't need the power supply or the laptop.  I'll take the USB hub and USB cables.
1025  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: what's avalon 's green led flash mean? on: April 13, 2013, 05:15:47 PM
I have seen the green light come on on mine, but I forget the exact circumstances.

I think it may have been when I had the pool configuration wrong.  I think it may mean that the miner is idle because it has no work to perform.

I recently received a pair of CM1s with "water damage", and I've not been able to get them to work.

Is there any kind of a repair/replacement program offered by Enterpoint (or by anyone else), or are they essentially worthless now?

1027  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS][US] 5970 with Arctic Accelero Extreme cooler, not fully working on: April 13, 2013, 03:32:39 AM
I have a 5970 that I installed one of the Arctic Cooling Accelero Extreme coolers on.

It mined like a champ for me for a couple years, but a while ago it started getting unstable.  I mined on core for a while, before I took it out of the machine.  Anymore it will sometimes mine for a while, sometimes on both cores, or on just one, but the miner will still eventually crash.

I never was able to get this one to mine scrypt for some reason.  cgminer just reports 0 hashes/second for both cores when I try.

I haven't checked video output.

The cooler is very nice, and keeps the card at least 10C cooler on average than my other 5970 that has the reference cooler, all without running the fans very hard or loud at all.  This cooler is quite rare, and is probably worth ~$100 by itself.  I will include a replacement set of thermal pads for the cooler so you will have fresh ones if you remove/install it.

I can also include the old factory cooler (with its dead fan) if you want it.

US buyers only please.  Payment in BTC or LTC.  Escrow is A-OK.

Make an offer IIT or by PM.

1028  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Amagi Metals - Largest Selection of Gold & Silver for Bitcoins on: April 12, 2013, 08:15:46 PM
I made 2 orders on April 1 and 3, the first for gold, and the second for gold + silver.

For a while they said "Processing" on the website, and then around the 6th both changed to "Shipped", but no tracking info was given.

Then I got emails on the 11th and the 12th saying that my 2 orders had shipped, and giving tracking numbers for each, which show them shipped around the times the emails were dispatched.  One USPS and the heavier one with UPS.

I'll be watching for them next week.

I too would have preferred to see the site say "Backordered", instead of "Shipped" when they really hadn't shipped.  It had me wondering why they hadn't arrived yet.
1029  Economy / Auctions / Re: AUCTION - 8 rolls of new 0.5BTC Casascius Coins on: April 12, 2013, 06:20:51 AM
When you guys receive them, please PM me if you plan to sell any.

Thanks.  Smiley
1030  Economy / Auctions / Re: AUCTION - 8 rolls of new 0.5BTC Casascius Coins on: April 11, 2013, 01:32:16 PM
The reverse auction idea is neat, but I would like to see any kind of auction be avoided as a primary means of sale for the coins.

Auctions create a premium on the value of the coins based on the time and effort someone needs to put in to participate in and win an auction.  They also take time and effort to administer, especially without any auction software to help.  I thought the point of changing the sale format was to have Mike put less time and effort into sales.

Ah, yeah that's unfortunate.

Maybe you can find a Canadian buyer.

FWIW, It's good practice to state your location up front when posting a physical goods FS.

Suggest you add [WTB] to thread title.
1034  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 5GB DDR3 Desktop Ram on: April 11, 2013, 04:44:08 AM
$60 can buy me 8 gigs of DDR3 brand new from Newegg with some bling bling heatsinks, shipping included.

I'll offer 0.13 BTC for the lot, shipped to me by USPS First Class (US address).  Offer stands so long as MTGox USD/BTC remains below 200.
1035  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Timeline - illustrated on: April 11, 2013, 04:16:27 AM
I got quite a chuckle out of this.  Grin

Something I've been wondering, have any of the faithful BFLers in the Kansas City area called up and requested a facility tour?

I don't see why this would be an unreasonable request. Perhaps someone should organize a group. Hell for a respectable amount of BTC  I'd be willing to contact them, and organize something. God knows they could use a nice little PR event right now, with real members of the community, as they've lost so much credibility.  I work for a fortune 20 and have been in front of my CTO and different VPs over time... I do know that after the second time of saying "2 weeks" I'd be out of a job.

Don't get me wrong, for the diversity of bitcoin I really hope they do deliver a product... but my dad always said "you can wish in one hand, and crap in the other... see which one fills up first."

Long live BTC!!!

I can't tell if you're just trolling, but I'm going to assume you're not and that you don't already know this.

Pretty much this exact same discussion took place around September 2012.  It culminated in BFL flying first Kano, and then Luke-Jr out to check them out.  I'll let you decide how that turned out.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=112543.0

I never did get an answer on why Luke-Jr went instead of Yochdog as was originally planned.
1036  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Just purchased a ModMiner QUAD... on: April 11, 2013, 03:57:38 AM
Very nice.

So, uh, Tom, how about bringing these back to the market in force?

I have a feeling they'd gobble them right up as quick as you could make 'em.
1037  Economy / Auctions / Re: AUCTION - 8 rolls of new 0.5BTC Casascius Coins on: April 11, 2013, 02:28:45 AM
Looks like I missed this one.  I had at first thought that the end time was fixed, and when I saw that it wasn't I had other things that needed doing, and I couldn't sit in front of the computer for what I thought might be another 4 hours or so.

Maybe someone will resell me some.

Again, I would like to suggest that instead of auctions on the forum, that the coins be sold in the webstore like always, but that the store have a minimum order quantity or value that can be used to ensure that orders are of a wholesale nature, and ease the burden of processing them, which is the point, isn't it?  Or maybe I have it wrong...
