3601  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin society on: September 17, 2020, 05:16:45 PM
I'd rather call it the crypto community which comprises of bitcoin maximalists, shitcoin maximalists, and those in the middle. In this community, you see a lot of infighting. One group accusing the other crypto as scams and insecure. The other group counters and calls the other as old tech  Grin

Those who view crypto as easy money are not really part of the community, they are merely passerby. Those who see crypto like bitcoin as a scam without even trying to learn do not belong here also, they're just spectators.
Lol. I guess I'll count myself as spectator before then as I saw Bitcoin not just a scam but also purely an illegal coin just because I heard that it gets used a lot in the deep web.
This forum is already composed of what you mentioned, although it is Bitcoin Talk, we got ourselves some boards for the alt coin holders. I guess crypto space isn't just closed to being a forum.
3602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for salary on: September 17, 2020, 05:14:06 PM
~
One country I know that legalized the usage of Bitcoin to pay employees salary is NZ.
Although I am not entirely sure if there are specific companies paying their employees with any crypto coins of any sort, but due to its volatile nature, I doubt that people that just recently heard about it would allow it.
I wouldn't mind getting paid in that any day.
3603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why government Don't kill btc? on: September 17, 2020, 05:11:51 PM
What is Stopping?

Why government Don't kill btc?
Why They protecting the btc?
Its Becouse They own Secretly btc?

Like They did with Gold in USA They banned Gold then They Secretly bought Gold in  history
From the definition of Bitcoin, they can't do it already.
They aren't protecting it. You can see a lot of countries getting cryptos banned for various reasons such as the common crimes like money laundering just because holding something under their radar tells that it is an illegal act to do.
We're never sure if all the government around the globe are secretly holding BTC though.
3604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New coin for coronavirus on: September 16, 2020, 05:07:53 PM
I don't really get the purpose of that coin and why would we as an investor would buy it?
Developers are creating more and more crypto that doesn't really have any role in the crypto community or doesn't really help in improving it.
I believe the devs quit on the project already.
There ain't no value to that coin according to the graph in CoinGecko : https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/coronacoin
What can we expect for these kinds of project anyway.
Burning tokens from every deaths in the virus? What?
3605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Improvements Cryptocurrencies Should Make on: September 16, 2020, 05:05:24 PM
Since cryptocurrency first appeared, it has continued to increase from year to year. The cryptocurrency which is considered a digital transaction in modern times still has to improve in various aspects. Over time, cryptocurrency must be able to increase its usability as a transaction platform. Many companies and developers are looking for a decentralized platform with blockchain as the base.

From this point of view, what do you think about the future of cryptocurrency in developing its services?
The speed of the transaction matters the most, we can worry about the value later.
Having a long confirmation time per transaction even if it was just a small purchase would be quite annoying especially when one needs the money urgently.
New projects should also aim for this aside from what's going on in their minds, although I doubt that a lot of project would be able to.
3606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How are you staying updated on: September 16, 2020, 04:57:42 PM
It is very easy to do that, because if you want to always be updated on the latest information about anything including cryptocurrency, then don't be lazy to read and see official places that often provide useful news for everyone, so you will always have the opportunity to take advantage of existing opportunities.

In additions via your comments, anyone that wants to be updated concerning bitcoin forum and cryptoccurrencies have to access internet, and
Make a proper research through Google or YouTube video to verify what ever he needs. All these can equally find in social Media's such as Twitter and Instagram and telegram.
I don't think there's that much of resources in Youtube when it comes to any sorts of projects. Some might just shill a coin there and pay them for their fake reviews that's why I don't trust video creators a lot without having too much support through subscriptions.
Sometimes I just consult the crypto news sites.
3607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: btc future on: September 15, 2020, 02:09:47 PM

Sure. Government will tell every ISPs to block every single exchange to every users of their nation, but it won't stop the personal transaction from happening.
People would still be able to hold Bitcoin like usual. Maybe buying it would just prove a bit sticky and tricky, since many of those are done online.
3608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The acceptance of cryptocurrency worldwide on: September 15, 2020, 02:01:07 PM
If all countries can accepted crypto currencies in there various countries, as a means of payment and as a means of online exchanges, such as money is, money is anything use as a means of exchange and general acceptable. With the means I think all cryptocurrencies (bitcoin) will definitely go round the world, and will be use as a means of exchange. I will be so grateful to the creation of crypto currencies. This will also help our future generation, Remember something when we do international transfer across the countries, it may take a while to get the money to your local bank account, but with cryptocurrency you can get instant reflection if bitcoin etc is transfer to wallet,And you can make use of your coin (bitcoin ETC).
Not sure if the speed of depositing my money into a bank account has the same speed as sending transactions in Bitcoin, but I don't think it will ever be the same as both of it.
Bitcoin can be exchanged to fiat money but it is gonna be a bit tough to be adopted as a means of payment to some merchants due to volatility of the price as we know it.
3609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Storing your Crypto in Exchanges is better than using Cold Wallets! on: September 15, 2020, 01:54:15 PM
It's still risky but you have moved me from generalizing the dangers of holding money in an exchanges, because I really don't do that.
8% APY is still kind of "not really yet" worth the risk, taking note that even reputated exchanges like Binance got hacked just like last year.
It's up to anyone's decision in the end anyway. I wouldn't mind leaving the minimums of my deposits there because I'll extract the profits to a separate wallet anyway.
3610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it getting late to buy crypto again? on: September 15, 2020, 01:48:57 PM
In my opinion, it is better late than never. Because we don't know what will happen in the future, we can't predict at all. Cryptos will be very expensive or goes down slowly. But i think it is the risk, when you want to invest in Crypto. Just go, buy it. If you failed, we can try again.
in my opinion better to miss opportunity than loss our money. but if bought major coins that have good developtment progress  i think its okay, such as bitcoin ethereum binance coin. before we decided to invest in crypto , we must undertand about the risk that may faced in future . most of people forget about it, they shock when their assets value suddenly drop alot and have no more money to buy again.
Uh no? Especially if that coin is like next to Bitcoin when it comes to getting greens.
You should definitely take the opportunity, but it's your money in your end anyway.
Maybe people should "miss the opportunity" if they have nothing to buy at all.
If you can still lose money without losing your sanity, keep buying.
3611  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too much HODLing stealing opportunities? on: September 14, 2020, 01:44:33 PM
~
Can't blame those newbs.
It ain't no peak if they aren't still satisfied on how much they get. They keep believing and believing and believing that there's next to whatever that price they managed to hold at. There ain't no peaks to some greedies.
Sure that they can see the bottom to buy more but going to the moon is like an endless dream for them.
3612  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What I think will be the top cryptocurrencies in 2021 on: September 14, 2020, 01:41:58 PM
~
Not really familiar with the coins below the two except for XRP of course but I still go with the two tops in the end.
Dunno if the other coins you mentioned will even strike the news or hit the mainstream because I got no idea what they are.
I'll just keep holding my BTCs in the end.
In anyway, it's up to anyone's research on why they think that coin is good for them and I respect your research and explanations.
3613  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What advice will you give to a beginner trader? on: September 14, 2020, 01:25:10 PM
2. only use binance, not anywhere else like uniswap
This is not a wrong advice but I think it's a bit unfair to those who likes using other exchanges. I know that binance is the best exchange, or so I heard and I agree on that part. But we also have a lot of other good markets. Haven't tried uniswap so I can't say anything just yet.

Well, being a trader is not as easy as eating candy or something. You need patience and everything. Every steps you take will be reflected on your trading. Practice makes perfect and so experience, gain lots of them and you should know where to go with your trading.
Indeed.
Although I use it quite often, it doesn't mean that it is the only exchange that majority should take.
It has a wide community but that doesn't mean that that's the only exchange that everyone should go.
It's like comparing Android and Apple to each other.
Feel free to try any other exchange, but don't stray too far because there are exchanges listing fake volumes.
3614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FAKE GIVEAWAYS IN DISGUISE AS BINANCE on: September 14, 2020, 01:12:23 PM
The scammers are at their game like we experienced in the bitcoin Hacking some weeks ago. This time around, they're disguising as binance using the same template they used when Elon Musk's Twitter account was hacked.
They supply this link https://futures-binance.org/ which if you follow takes you to a medium page requesting you to participate in the giveaway. It is a big scam. Don't fall for it over again.
Always visit https://whois.domaintools.com to check when the giveaway domain was created and its owner/owners.
Next time, don't just directly link a phishing or scamming attempt link in the thread, OP.
I've encountered a lot of these as well using 000webhost hosting sites. I used primarily Coins.ph in cashing out my BTC and turns out some new page just tagged me randomly and asked me to claim my BTC in their phishing site.
Too bad, it is an obvious one.

I just made fun of it by entering random characters and typing "You screwed up." in the login details and it's funny that it logged me in, well because it is a phishing site.
3615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are back with another trick. Be alert!!! on: July 29, 2020, 04:19:11 PM
Scammers are back with their old method but with another new trick. Currently, they are streaming video on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoQX4hElcSU&feature=emb_rel_pause, with the video title 100000 ETH giveaway. Be alert guys.   They made the channel name Foxnews which is fake of course and they are streaming an @ethglobal video.

The video was taken down and I am glad.
The news channel has 5k subscribers which kinda makes me think already that this is just plainly a fake channel.
Usually news channels reach up to millions.
This channel tried so hard to fool people, ey? Cheesy

Consider also checking the creation date of the channel in "About" section of the said channel.
Surely no news channel would be created that recently anymore unless the previous got taken down.  Huh
3616  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying food or groceries with Bitcoin on: July 29, 2020, 04:15:28 PM

It is just their matter of choice as well as taking of the risk, even if I started my own business, Bitcoin will be the last thing in my mind to adopt unless I go full e-shop where I don't any digital wallets. Digital payment system is quite strict with their KYC policies, that's why Bitcoin comes into my mind into this.

I guess government would just waste their time finding ways to put up laws in cryptos especially Bitcoin, but I doubt they'll do.
Maybe how people will be able to cash it out probably.
3617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What bitcoin adoption really is. on: July 29, 2020, 04:10:27 PM
adaptation is not really needed for bitcoin because it can support itself and not needed for the government in its operation. But the problem are those individual abusing bitcoin system. This is where the government could do something implementing rules and regulations needed for the safety of the consumers. This is where cryptocurrency could not be use in its full potential because it will become centralized in a way being regulated by a centralized system like government.
Still many 3rd party apps that uses Bitcoin for paying bills and buying merchandise.
How does government regulate these? KYC policies, of course.
It's not surprising since it is an online wallet anyway and it does undergo a payment system that is regulated by the government.
People would still adopt it whenever they want. It is just the Bitcoin "itself" is what government can't control no matter how they try it.
3618  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It's ok if your profits are less on: July 28, 2020, 03:56:01 PM

I could've stopped thinking too negatively when I was day trading if I got the return of at least a cent.  Grin
As a beginner that day, a small profit is already a satisfaction knowing that you're doing it right but meh I've traded Cardano , ETH, and other top alts in Binance and I don't seem to get it right.
3619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it risky to invest in new crytpo coin/tokens? on: July 28, 2020, 03:48:43 PM
Many of us were well known the Coinmarketcap from where we receive all cryptocurrency like coins and tokens details like on which exchange they listed, what is the 24-hour treading volume, or which platform they based on, etc. These days many new crypto coins and tokens was introducing and listing on many exchanges and It makes a very difficult decision for the investor to choose which coins or tokens should they invest to make some good profit. Many of the new cryptocurrency was makes a good pump in their stating days and after they dump in a very dramatic way. This cause a big loss to the investors and the trust in these types to new coins and tokens was finished. So, the main question is that Is it risky to invest in new crypto coins/tokens? or it is good for a very certain time of investment?
Investing as an action word is already a risk of an act already.
Telling the "best time" to invest in crypto is quite vague for each investors.
Some invest all their assets to it, and some just plainly don't care how much they invest and they don't expect anything good or bad and it'll just surprise them one day.

There are known trends already, the bull and the bear. These two are primary indicators sometimes whether it is the best time invest.
3620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This could be a big WIN for an entire crpyto community on: July 28, 2020, 03:44:41 PM
One factor that people made the thoughts of being illegal is how it can't be traced that easily. We got BTC address, but that's it.
There are plenty of illegal things happening through usage of paper money we got today and it is still happening to this day.
I believe that one day, government will try to regulate the usage of cryptos and not just Bitcoin and it is kinda scaring me sometimes.
