Now, I don't mean to say that the two of you go around crushing kittens or such, but look:
- You two CONSTANTLY harp on Amir's fuckup with Bitcoinica. Amir DID fuck up there, bigtime.
Actually I think it's the first time I've ever mentioned it, and only because it came up in this thread - Amir was asking Gavin why he wasn't allowed on the security list and his prior treatment of sensitive data was quoted as a reason. Our community grew a lot since then, so some people aren't familiar with that incident. Can you please point to examples of me or Gavin "constantly harping on" about it? I don't even like to bring it up, it's ancient history when measured in Bitcoin-time, but it's also a relevant answer to the question posed. Being a majority protects people from assaults.
(...because that worked so well in Warsaw, Godwinbergheimgrad, etc.) A more relevant analogy would be PayPal in the USA, which came under severe governmental assault and eventually survived because they managed to build up (via eBay) a large enough userbase that they became difficult to mess with, politically. Too many ordinary citizens were enjoying auctions on eBay and would have made a huge stink if something had happened to them. I suggest reading this page, it's very interesting: http://www.screw-paypal.com/history.htmlPayPal actually started out as being very much in line with Bitcoin's vision. But they weren't able to sustain it in the centralised model and were nearly wiped out. Hopefully Bitcoin will do better, but the reason there's such a focus on regulatory issues in the USA is because the USA is an incredibly hostile environment in which to do business. Ultimately the only way to avoid shut down and jail there is a combination of finding ways to work within the rules and building up a large enough userbase, quickly enough, to give political cover. I would be more impressed by Mike's position if he found a way to go back to the USA, then set up an ran an unlicensed, anonymous exchange for a decent length of time. He knows perfectly well that isn't possible though. So why are you staying in US and work for the NSoogleA? Seriously...

Since Neo still refuse to answer my simple questions with simple answers let me ask it again in a very simple way.
One Bitcoin is currently worth 150euros. If I could open an account tommorow with my 150 euros, will I own one Bitcoin and be given the address/code for that Bitcoin that will allow me to transfer it to a place of my choice if required.
Please answer with a simple yes or no.
If the rate drops to $1 (Highly unlikely), we will buy every single Bitcoin available and use it all in Cyprus for our customers.
You are a good trader but you can't read? LOL

Another issue is that mastercoin is centrally controlled by one party, all issued by one public key they call the "exodus address".
MasterCoin is not centrally controlled. This is simply a misunderstanding of how MSC works. Mastercoin was built on top of Bitcoin because DaCoinMinster saw how alt coins are victim of ideological exclusion in the community and how Bitcoiners are inflexible fanatics. It's going to be a good learning for them. We all know that Bitcoin needs small transactions to move off-chain if we don't want shit to hit the fan in the near future when adoption rate takes off. But instead of that Mastercoin brings more in-chain bloat at a whole new scale.
Mastercoin's success will be Bitcoin's Nemesis."
This was from the Ripple forum. They are a little sore that bitcoin people don't like Ripple. The bias against alt coins IS part of the reason I chose to build on top of bitcoin. I also share that bias Bitcoin should be able to scale as needed to handle a high volume of MSC transactions in the near term. If bitcoin can't scale in the long term, we'll have to migrate to another block chain. (yeah, it's possible) Migrate? Wow, so much flexibility...

Mastercoin was funded with 1,000,000$ .. I don't see other alts compete with the brains that got involved with mastercoin project. I don't think the amount of funding you raise has a direct correlation to how good your project is, neither does large funding ensure that you get the best minds. I've invested a large amount of my own funds into eMunie, and a year of my life, full time+, I'm a seasoned financial systems builder, and worked in many cutting edge technologies you use everyday, but even that doesn't guarantee eMunie any success, so your reasoning is a bit mute I'm afraid... Mastercoin is build on top of No1 Bitcoin - the first mover of the first mover! Though I wanna see yours and Nxt succeed too, the more the better..

When do you think will Nxt be released? Still this year?
Next Bitcoin Birthday. Holy crap, you are crazy!

Of course this is too hard. That's why we are developing Mastercoin wallets.
When we will make transactions with these wallets, would we have to pay for the 0.00006BTC + mining fees?

Yes, since you are a developer yet have no idea how software support work for things like Postgres, you are a developer idiot. It's sad that even jokes have to be explained to you.
No one laughed I assure you. I bet you know because you are a developer genius - you did not tell as where you have worked though. And your experience in support... I thought it was kinda funny. I knew he was joking but I am not - the difference between being a troll or not.

klee, as anonymous as any retard in this forum, how confused are you about databases and what is used and where? Never mind, this is a rhetorical question. If those clowns are going for Oracle... pff. good luck and thank you for a early warning. You sure know how to piss yor investors money away. Have a nice ride to...
ex-trader accountants do not evaluate "business models". You probably meant "business plan" with shiny predictions for future income (aka fiction)
Indulge me! Whats your experience dude? Ever worked in something as big as NeoBee might be? Or hacking alone in your bedroom all day? Ever worked in a real company?? With people? You know...

Everyone has an opinion & an asshole! For the assholes: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5975907/postgresql-vs-oracleWhoever has used postgresql support in a big system with real pressure from many angry clients please raise hands! The same for Oracle. Well??? I bet the assholes upthread have worked in big companies/software houses with freaking pressure on their backs. I have not used postgresql but I can tell you the one and only moto in big companies: We pay for the support and not for the application! Go use Linux and open source. Don't get me wrong - they are great and I love them. I hate Microsoft and I have recently (after 10 years being a mac user) have been an Apple hater too. But open source is not always the best solution. I am out. PS: Ytterbium & Pancake I hope Labcoin is a better investment than this lol

I have worked as a developer idiot
I don't doubt it. It's not a surprise that any big company has some Oracle somewhere. So? Are you retarded or what? WHO THE FUCK IS GONNA DO THE SUPPORT IDIOT??? The open source community?
What a clown...
You have no idea how the software industry work, do you? Hint: http://www.postgresql.org/support/professional_support/Before calling someone "retarded", perhaps check how stuff work. And before you start making even more of a fool of yourself: I have worked with Oracle. Did you? TROLLING then
