381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it even possible to offer 10% daily reward? on: January 24, 2024, 09:40:40 PM
It can as long as the project has already been established well but since it was a new project, we can never imagine where the developers get money for that offer. Or another broken promise that we usually hear from scammers.

Though there is no proof that this project is a scam but judging by its offer, we can already feel something different and unbelievable words.
Besides, we don't need proof for it because it was truly impossible for them to give that amount. If that is not a daily reward, maybe that sounds true and people could give some interest.
382  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading with bots on: January 24, 2024, 01:11:41 PM
I am doing scalping with 1 minute chart and I see a big rejection candle at 22.21 london time for most alcoins, also for btc...how do you guys interpret this?
My guess is the trading with the altcoins is done most by bots...
Any tips on how I could learn to automate my trading with bots?

Don't use bots, that is the best thing to do as they never give you the benefits you expect instead, they only give you a terrible trading experience.
Better help yourself grow and understand real trading by relying on your capabilities and skills. Many traders have tried using bots and have the same experience you have gotten.

I can't say it was the feature of the bots but also personal experience and inputs are a big factor affecting the performance of the said technology. But if we want to reach our goal and gain success, we have to do it alone by simply trusting ourselves and using effective strategies.
383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: January 24, 2024, 11:41:05 AM

So Nery needs to be very careful here, he might think that his power could be enough, but Inoue shows that he has a iron chin too. And Inoue also developed his counter punching already, similar to a pull back then straight right of Mayweather. But Inoue has more power.

Nery does have a good KO rate but Inoue is just exceptional. He better think that he is up against an extraordinary powerful fighter so he would be reckless when in the ring. It's a big success for him if he could finally deal Inoue his first lose, but it's easier than said, you know.

I believe that Fulton and Tapales were the toughest opponent that he fought in the last three years and Nery is not that invincible he was first exposed by figueroa the guy cannot take a punch and figueroa is not even a hard puncher, all Inoue has to do is to aim the body because Nery has weakness in his body as shown in his match against Figueroa.

I don't see it that way. The toughest? These two boxers you've mentioned didn't even hurt Inoue, they were champions but they are just playing solid defense without an offense, but still it resulted to a KO win by Inoue. The toughest was against Donaire, during the first meeting, Inoue got hurt but he was smart to make an adjustment and manage to win the fight.

Inoue is the heavy favorite with the odds interpretation that he is unlikely to lose, so Nery has the challenge here prove to the world that Inoue also has some weakness. The fight is in Japan, all advantage is on Inoue but Nery could make it not necessary anymore if he could end the fight with a knockout.
I cannot think of any fighter that has a chance to beat him in the super welterweight, even Inoue who boast that he can do the job has no advantage against Inoue we will just see Inoue's greatness leading into the upper weight category, we all hope that he moved up he wiped the division and that includes Casimero so no one can say that Inoue did not gave him a chance.

Wrong divison, Inoue is still fighting in the Super bantamweight, and I doubt Inoue will reach the Super welterweight as he is stoo small for the champions.
384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: January 24, 2024, 10:18:31 AM
My picks  are ;

Indiana +3.5.

Back at home with 2 losses on the road. I think they won't allow to continue their losing streak, and if they'll lose I think +3.5 is enough for them to cover. Denver is great, are on a 2 win streak but I feel this is a trap and home team will win.

Brooklyn +4.5

After a strong performance on their last 2 games. Beat LA Lakers but lose to the Clippers on a 22-0 run (IIRC), I think they are ready to win at home. So to be a bit safer, I got the handicap.

Pelicans -6.5

After long win streak, Jazz now struggled on the road. I think Pelicans are the better team than the Rockets. Coming off from a loss to Phoenix at home, I'm sure they will bounce back stronger.

1 out of 3. Not a profitable night. However, I'm still happy with my pick as my pick on Indiana and Broolyn could have won. too bad I pick early on the Pacers, I could have get +5.5 benefiting from the line movement. Anyway, I have to move on and start picking on the upcoming games.

1- Luka Magic  +1.5
Dallas are in 2 losing streak, they badly need a win now, and their best chance IMO is at home against a streaky Phoenix Suns. Irving and Luka are listed as questionable, hopefuly they'll play though to make this game interesting to watch.

2-Warriors -7
They have a long rest so I'm betting on the fresh legs against the Hawks who are struggling a bit. I feel like it's just like a come back game for the Warriors, so their energy is high, enough to beat the Hawks by double digit.

3-Spurs +7.5
Thunder on a back to back game, they might be tied travelling to the San Antonio. And I don't like their performance against the TrailBlazers, I think Spurs can beat them.
385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Increased Gambling Risk for the Younger Generation on: January 23, 2024, 01:28:08 PM
With the easy accessibility of the online gambling sites and tools, the younger generation is more involved in gambling. The risk for them is not only that they will lose money but gambling at such a high rate and at the age of teenage will cause them a lot of problems like lack of physical activity or no interest in the studies as they will more inclined to get easy entertainment in the form of gambling.
This is of course quiet alarming as it raises concern about the newer generations future given the fact that most social media influencers and popular artists promote this kind of activity here in my country that may influence the mind of these youngsters. As technology advances young people can easily access through mobile devices without parents consent.
We know this will happen but as a parents we should be aware that our kids could access online gambling sites if they wanted to, especially if the gambling sites does not have a strict KYC verification. We will be able to help them if we will educate them, telling them the risk of addiction as that's very important. If they really want to gamble and we allow it, at least we should not lose keeping an eye on them so we will know their behavior and we are to the rescue to help them when necessary.

Gambling is not for minors, as all gambling sites requires you need to be 18+ to be able to gamble, but like I mentioned, without a KYC, a minor could just check and agree with the terms pretending to be not minor anymore.

^^^
3-Brooklyn +6.5

4 losing streak. Not a good team to back, but since I coudl not find another game to bet, I think I'll stick with this one and back the team that has a very low chance of winning.

2 of 3 last time.  Now, I'm back with 3 picks, 2 of 3 is the target to profit, but 3 of 3 would be good.

My picks  are ;

Indiana +3.5.

Back at home with 2 losses on the road. I think they won't allow to continue their losing streak, and if they'll lose I think +3.5 is enough for them to cover. Denver is great, are on a 2 win streak but I feel this is a trap and home team will win.

387  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I succeed as a trader in 2024 on: January 22, 2024, 09:51:03 PM
As we enter the 2024, many people are making plans on how to achieve financial success and personally I have decided that trading will be one of my area of focus. I'm gathering information on how to go about it. Your opinion will be highly appreciated.
I don't know you have experienced or not with trading, It seems gambling to you if you have no knowledge in trading, It's difficult but not impossible to learn so research about it before start, But in this year i have different plan, I am buying Bitcoins only and holding because before Bitcoin halving it price can go new ATH.

Trading is not a simple skill to master because of the risks involved, which must be taken repeatedly before you can be successful. If you said Trading will be your focus this years, you need to be learning much about it and know the strategic how you will be staking, and you need to know is better you trade with the money you can afford to lose, because Trading is not an investment that you will say he can minimize your risk when you start, I would like you to not focus on one aspect instead, you should be investing so that he can increase your knowledge about different coins. As for me, I believe in investing more than trading because I haven't gained much knowledge about it yet, and I can't say if I start trading I will be profitable, because it is very risky more then investment but if you are lucky you will profitable and change your lifestyle.
We can't yet determine or assume success already as we begin as there are a lot of things that may change along the journey. Many people become aggressive at the start but later on, they give up after having bad experiences and losses. We can just say success if we consistently make profits over losses and that is find it out after a few months doing this. And I notice that those who are in a hurry never get success and much more for impatient people. Trading style, funds, behaviors --that really matters in trading.
388  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your advised for being a trader? on: January 20, 2024, 03:45:11 PM
I think everyone here has given a lot of advice on what to do to become a trader. It is not easy to become a professional trader, there are many stages that need to be done, one of which is studying technical and fundamental analysis trading knowledge, it is still quite basic because there is still a lot to know. The most important thing is how to manage trading emotions because no matter how good the trading techniques and strategies used are, they will not be useful when the trading mentality is down. It takes a lot of practice and experience to form a strong trading mentality.
I hope that OP is quite understanding the advice of the forum members.

Indeed, it is simple to say I will become a trader but it was difficult in actual. Many people start their trading journey with strong mindsets and aggression but they never stay long and quit. So why? It means that not all are meant for this. Although we have a chance but it doesn't mean that those who want to become a trader will succeed, as surely not. Even myself, I can't tell that was already successful in this field because even though we have a long trading experience, it never counts as a guarantee for a successful trade, I could still lose.

My advice is that - don't force ourselves if we know it is impossible but instead, choose the job where we think we have an advantage and capabilities.
389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever regretted selling your bitcoins ? on: January 20, 2024, 02:31:26 PM
Sometimes it appears in my mind "What if I hold my Bitcoin until today, I may be gonna rich already". But honestly, I do not regret selling my Bitcoin in the past because it was also used for some important things. It is somewhat to say that not all the time we just hold, sometimes also we need to let go for some reasons. Maybe, if we only knew that Bitcoin would reach $60k, $50k, or at the current price, I was certain that many people would hold but because we're not, we simply just take the opportunity given while it still has high value.

Well, crypto investing is not just all about holding but also selling, so we don't need to regret it unless we sell it low.
390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling can be a hope restorer if we go about it wisely! on: January 20, 2024, 01:06:49 PM
But gambling can also be a destroyer of hopes where someone hopes that he will be able to get more money from it but in reality he loses more than he expected. So don't expect too much from gambling because even though it can be a hope restorer, it can also be a hope destroyer because we cannot be one hundred percent sure that the game we are playing will end in victory - and casinos always have the upper hand on gamblers, which means gamblers should not place too much hope in gambling.
People who are gambling are full of hope that one day they could be lucky and hit the jackpot prize. That is why it is recommended to just use the extra money, not our savings because our winning is uncertain. But for those who are in the chase of winning, spending more money will absolutely end up emptying their bankroll. Gambling should not be taken seriously, it will hurt us.

Indeed, gambling can ruin someone's life but some also uplift their living. But if we are not too wise in using our winning money, it won't stay long in our hands as it has gone like the wind.
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Surge in Meme Coins on: January 20, 2024, 12:36:32 PM
The surge in meme coins has been wild, right? It's crazy how these coins like Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, and SafeMoon have gained so much attention and popularity. People are jumping on the meme coin bandwagon, hoping to catch the next big wave. But it's also important to be cautious and do your research before investing in these coins. The market can be quite volatile, and meme coins can be particularly risky. What are your thoughts on this whole meme coin frenzy?
Can't deny the fact that (some) meme coins are truly hype which people love it and enjoy making some profit. But we should be wise with them, can't hold these coins for long as the hype won't take longer as well.

Still, we need to take extra caution in choosing them because not all meme coins are meant for such extraordinary pumps. Following social media is a helping tool to determine what is next to pump but still, research is very important always. Too risky choice but why not take the opportunity of there is, we only don't hold them.
392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know when to ride and stop! on: January 20, 2024, 08:46:20 AM

It's always a gut feeling when you feel like you are lucky the day you start betting. For some gamblers, the more they double down when they lose money in hopes that luck may soon change.

Gradually increasing the bet is not what is being taught in most of the strategies. Betting $30 or $45 is not the kind of gambler who only wants entertainment, he surely are looking for profit. Congrats on getting up to $400
Profits is always the end result every gambler would want to have and that's the true whether we like it or not because without profits I can say the gambler is actually just playing to fill of his time of doing nothing or like you folks put it "for entertainment". But the one mistake that most gamblers do is that once the winning starts coming they don't relent and know that there is actually a time that they would need to stop and actually take profits to the little one they have made.
That is how it changes the gambling behavior of a gambler as they think they could win more in the next few days.
These days, gambling is not anymore a sort of entertainment for most gamblers but they consider this as a sort of income resource. It was difficult to say but more gamblers got addicted to gambling. Knowing when to stop is not on their mind but what is inside is to win and recover their losses.

That is why it is very important to control ourselves in gambling for this would be the reason for undesirable experiences.
393  Other / Off-topic / Re: Know when to stop on: January 19, 2024, 09:30:10 PM
When you are about to be addicted to gambling, just apply stop so that you will still have opportunity to gamble another time when you are financially buoyant with a new skills to recover what you have lost in the past in the gambling center.

The moment I won in the gambling center, there is no way anyone can force me to gamble again in that day which it has be my principle over some years in gambling and, I'm very happy with the system because it will not make me regret when I loss or gain in the gambling than to continue doing it till old age occur before I will apply stop.
The ability for us to stop gambling whenever we know that it's not appropriate for us it what we know as gambling discipline. Discipline is a way we can personally control our gambling habits. Habitual gambling could fun to us but it is very important when we different that from how frequent we keep making profits. We should know when to leave gambling and when to go back because this alone will help balance our mental health so that we don't we don't become to quest to gamble everytime. Discipline gamblers always have options that could aid them from analysing how frequent they gamble and what they tend to benefit from every bet they involved themselves.

I have been years that I try to have this discipline and this is the hardest thing to acquire in life,at least for me.Lately I am improving a lot as I know have a new rule for me,whenever a slot machines gives you 500 spins without the bonus it is politely saying to you go away as this is not your day,I have started to read this type of hidden messages from slot machines which lead to a better discipline  Grin.I am serious about this despite joking around as before I used to play like crazy,I wanted to hit the bonus at all cost and I raised the bet after 500 spins, boom money gone in an instant,I never raise the bet anymore. So overall discipline is very hard to get but once you get used to it,gambling addiction and big lost amounts of money are out of the way.
If we already have an addiction, that is somewhat the hardest thing to do because what is in our mind now is gamble and gamble. That is why as early as possible before we go too far from gambling, we have to consider practicing a good gambling habit and maintaining such limits. Otherwise, addiction will hook us up and lead us to irresponsible gambling. But it really depends on us on how we interact with our gambling habits, I don't spend more on gambling and I set a limit, and I should not surpass it as this will be one factor that brings me to addiction. And the outcome is good.
394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wrong perspective towards Bitcoin investment on: January 19, 2024, 08:45:09 PM
most people who want to quickly make profits from bitcoin end up failing because they think that when they invest in bitcoin the profit is certain, even though on the contrary when they invest in bitcoin it means their potential to lose money is quite high.

also people who want to quickly make profits from bitcoin also have short-term and illogical thinking, where they invest in things like mining, staking, etc., which offer high profits in the short term, even though they are fraud. and in the end it was predictable that they were scammed by scammers because of their poor knowledge about investment and bitcoin.
That will happen to someone who never knows and clearly understands what they are doing. This will happen to someone who is rushing their entry and gives no time to review or cross-check whether the site is legit or not. We never get scammed if we are too careful and it never happens to us if we have knowledge. Unfortunately, many of us easily got fooled by these scammers because of greediness.

In any investment platform, it is somewhat important not to trust easily and so we did site checking for verification. Bitcoin investment is not a Ponzi Scheme that offers quick returns which is why if someone offers that, that is a big lie and scam.
395  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't trust social media on: January 19, 2024, 02:34:08 PM

Spending time to learn pays a lot and it prevent people from making painful mistakes. For those that have knowledge about wallet won't fall victim of allowing anyone to assist to create wallet. Spending time to learn is not a waste, it saves money from entering the wrong hands.

It is a NO-NO unless that person is your trusted friend or one of your family members. I don't know how the world changing as it is really hard now to trust strangers, most of them are scams especially when it talks about money.

Knowledge is hereby our advantage and tool to avoid falling into scam attempts or any evil plans. I'm not yet experiencing this thing because I was too careful in dealing with other people and I did research first, reviewed feedback, etc.

I consider social media to be a source of good information, it was before but now, this is a tool for scammers and hackers.
396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: January 19, 2024, 12:50:57 PM
Just to be clear, I have SMB -8.

Too bad you lose your bet. At one point, it looks like SMB are gonna win via blowout, and then the 4th quarter comes and SMB stop playing defense. After dominating the ROS in the 3rd quarter, they put their guard down in the 4th quarter allowing a 33-18 score in favor of the ROS.

It was an 8 point lead with few seconds remaining, it could have result to a "push", but ROS took the last shot with a 3 point shot, and bang! 5 point win only. Even the early line which is -6.5 for SMB wasn't miss.  Grin

Can that happen again in the 2nd game?

Ginebra is up 20 points after the first half,  the spread was -8.5, so northport needs to come back in the 3rd quarter, or at least make it a close quarter so if they can't come back in the 3rd, there's still a 4th quarter for them to cover the spread. I'm thinking of some rigged show right now, but hopefully it's not the case in this game.
397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: January 19, 2024, 12:31:22 PM
1- Sacramento Kings -7.5 L
2- Memphis +13.
L

3- OKC -3

I'm going against the hot Jazz, they were my pick against the Warriors but I feel that the OKC is still the better team. Coming from 2 disappointing loss in LA, I think they'll make sure to break that losing streak here.

Guess it right with the OKC but lose on the other 2 bets, that ends my night with 1-3 which is not profitable. However, I'm gonna stay for a while, and won't be stopping from posting pick even coming from a lose. For games later, I still have picks.

1- Denver +6.

Boston is 20-0 at home but 13-7 ATS only at home. I believe 6 points is too high for Boston to be giving up to the defending champion. I checked the injury report on Nuggets, Gordon is listed probably "heel", so I expect him to play.

2- Pelicans -2.5

Suns are on a winning streak now,  but I believe Pelicans are going to stop that. IMO, Suns aren't consistent yet, they still have some lapses in terms of chemistry, so I'm rooting for the home team to win and cover.

3-Brooklyn +6.5

4 losing streak. Not a good team to back, but since I coudl not find another game to bet, I think I'll stick with this one and back the team that has a very low chance of winning.
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Look out for a good Altcoin and buy now! on: January 18, 2024, 09:53:17 PM
Bitcoin ETF has been approved which is a good new for other Altcoin as well. As we all know, since Bitcoin is the pioneer of cryptocurrencies if there is a significant increase in the price of Bitcoin it will also affect the price of other cryptocurrencies. For instance if by the end of the year Bitcoin hit the target of $100k definelty other altcoins will experince a huge increase in their price. Bitcoin bull run is as well altcoin bull run.

Yep. Bitcoin ETF will cause an Altseason, and we are still very early, especially in Altcoins.
We will see an altcoin season very soon, although nothing goes up in a straight line. It is just a matter of time before a new rally starts in them.
Till then, keep accumulating on dips before the halving. Post-halving pumps are going to be insane.
But consider diversifying across promising projects, staying informed, and riding the waves.
Not just this time and we know that once Bitcoin pumps, altcoins are going to follow as well. I see no surprise about the situation which is why I already anticipated this event and made a purchase last year in preparation for the halving and price pump.

Some people will think that this year is good to start buying but I can't agree, why not do this while the price is too low compared to now?
Well, I'd find out that impatient people got trouble in holding which is why they prefer to invest at the start of Bull season and so they earn less. That is why holders will earn more rewards than impatient people.
399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: January 18, 2024, 12:01:54 PM
We don't want to see another Jeff Horn vs Pac scenario here. So hopefully Loma will ensure that this fight is not gonna reach the judges scorecards. Personally, I feel like Loma could be robbed again in different place, so it's too risky for him to rely only on the decision of the judges.

That's already in the books, people will not forget that, and everytime we hear a fight held in Australia, we could be a little doublful of the outcome. What they did to Pacman was an obvious robbery, and with that, they also destroyed their reputation.

Quote
With that said, I think Loma by KO is the best bet.

I don't know what the odds is yet but I'm willing to follow.

Loma's last TKO win was in 2021 while Kambosos hasn't been KO in his career, so I'm sure the odds will be attractive.
400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: January 18, 2024, 11:34:50 AM
So on the upcoming games, I'm still making 3 picks, and I just need 2 to be profitable.

1- Jazz -4.5 - Not much explanation needed on this one, Jazz has been hot now, so I'm just riding the train.

2-Lakers -3 - I'm hoping that they already found their rthym after a big win against OKC. It doesn't matter if Doncic will play, Lakers can still match them because they are complete and Roy has played already.

3- Toronto ML - They are in a losing streak right now with 4, so they need to get back in the game. I think this is the game where they can win, although Miami is also good on the road but I feel they Raptors can compete and can beat them.

And my good winning record continues.

Got a W on the Lakers and Toronto, but since the game of Jazz vs GSW got postponed, I only have 2 wins which is 100% win rate.

I guess I need to keep going, I'm not as confident as I am now than before, so follow me. hahaha

For the later games. I'm glad to share my picks again.

1- Sacramento Kings -7.5

They are on a 3 losing streak, first game back at home against Indiana that still misses Hali. It's a great chance  for the Kings to come back and start fresh with a win. I hope they'll not collapse again in the 4th quarter so they can win and cover the spread.

2- Memphis +13.

Minny is good but they are on a back to back game. I can't trust them to cover this high spread, so I'm with the undermanned Memphis to cover the spread.

3- OKC -3

I'm going against the hot Jazz, they were my pick against the Warriors but I feel that the OKC is still the better team. Coming from 2 disappointing loss in LA, I think they'll make sure to break that losing streak here.
