1381  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My advice If you are here to make money on: January 14, 2023, 11:47:25 AM
It is certainly true that the primary goal of trading crypto coins is to make money. There is nothing wrong with this, as long as traders are aware of the risks involved and take steps to manage those risks effectively. Using safe money, or money that can be afforded to lose, is a good way to minimize potential losses. Trading in the spot market, rather than the futures market, can also help to reduce the risk of losing everything, as traders in the spot market have the ability to sell their assets at any time. However, it is important for traders to be aware that even in the spot market, there is always the potential for significant losses, and it is essential to approach trading with caution and to educate oneself about the various risks involved.
Spot and futures trading is just as risky. although futures trading of course has a higher risk. unfortunately, now a lot of newbies are coming to markets like Binance to trade futures, which of course beginners won't have.
their goal remains the same to make money. but without knowledge and skills, it's like gambling and wasting their money. they come only to lose.
It is a need for them to assess their capabilities because trading will simply don't work having only the basic knowledge and skill of trading but also requires a deep understanding of the market and most of all, the capability to control their emotions. I don't want to stop traders from doing what they want to do whether it was futures trading or spot trading as long as they recognized their weaknesses and correct their mistakes. Because I believe that people will change their approach and choose the place where they know they can do it well.
1382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How wrongful can this go? on: January 14, 2023, 11:08:19 AM
I don't like giving out my private information for any project or platforms online and I have no choice but to provide wrong personal details in order to maintain anonymity, how bad can this get if anything happens to the website system?
You'd better not do that as this is not the best solution to that problem. You may not be caught easily but can happen in the future when they ask you again to do KYC. Better find sites that don't ask KYC, not by using other profile for this is not just a serious offense but could possibly ruin others life ( the original owner of that profile).
Quote
Is this a wrongful approach to online casinos that requires KYC? Or any of you have a better solution? There must be someone like me on here that have their ways around this. Share ideas if you can.
It was hard to keep anonymous this time as the KYC has been a requirement to register and use their platform but I don't think that was a big deal if we only use known and legit sites.
1383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do you feel about market recovery on: January 14, 2023, 09:18:30 AM
Well, I'm happy it finally came back to 20k (price right now) and finally left that range where you can't help but feel it might go down again. Still, I reckon we might dip down back after a few days, or weeks since the price increase was kind of straight instead of something steady (which was what I expected really). It should be temporary though, maybe another up-and-down movement from between 19 and 20k, for a few days. In the bigger picture though this isn't exactly anything big, after all we're still pretty far off from $30k itself. We just kind of opened up a space between the possible worst case scenario (which is a dip to $10k or so imo).
The top 4 coins in the CMC are turning green now. Whether it is a trap or not, at least we're getting back high a little bit but we couldn't assure how long it takes this high because we've never found a valid reason for the cause of this pump. I wasn't thinking we are tuning bullish but rather to believe we are still in the bear market.

However, this scenario will give hopes for those who bought Bitcoin at $20k for at least they know that it was not impossible to earn profit if they will hold.

1384  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it true that this AI is good for trading? on: January 14, 2023, 08:40:04 AM
For chat related things and asking questions this AI software is good but won't rely on such things when it comes to trading because my funds are at stake. It can answer your trading related queries for what information it retrieved from the backend or how it answer but these bots are still not useful in actual trading so it must be done with your own mind.
I'd see it was perfectly made for answering queries but if we talk about trading or those that are performing more on technical and market analysis, nothing could do it other than humans. Because these AIs are not programmed to become emotional, not programmed to analyze the market on their own but are created based on the history of the market and interact with what traders wanted to happen. Meaning, this stuff relies on the trader who uses it, and if we have no knowledge of trading definitely, it never works well.
1385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 14, 2023, 06:21:06 AM
Jazz are looking good, they have successfully defended their home court again in a close game against the Magic.

As usual, Lauri and Clarkson are the top performers, but they also had some help from other role players.
Also, Sexton was already back, so he was a good help to the team, just sad to see that he isn't as clutch as Clarkson because he missed his 2FT in a crucial time, good thing they gain the rebound.

With his presence Jazz gained another good option for their offense, he still good at his task though it was a crucial missed.
we can't say that he's no longer the same.

A single game won't determine his capabilities, just not a good time for him to missed but likewise, they managed to protect.
their home court, enough to entertain the fans who still supporting them.

That's 2 straight of close game, last time it was Clarkson who close the game, this time, still a bit of Clarkson but Lauri was their best scorer. I don't know, it seems like Clarkson is really the best player of the team because the fans are more entertain watching him play, it will be a huge loss for the Jazz if they cannot give the demand of clarkson which is $20 million per year.

1387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I keep my BNB or Sell it? on: January 13, 2023, 09:44:07 PM
I hope OP had opened his mind and never get influenced by his friend and all the FUDs.
Maybe your friend is thinking about the big issue in the past involving CZ with the FTX but this is the not reason to think that BNB has no future. Go with what you believe about BNB and be one of those believers who still hold their BNB despite the tough situation of the market.

...
Although many mainstream media have the impression of creating a 'scared' narrative, trying their best to discredit CZ.
I still believe in Binance...
It is a part of the game and we gonna expect this in any business but I don't see it was enough to think that BNB lost its credibility and couldn't stop the popularity of this coin in the crypto market. BNB will remain potential as long as many traders and investors are still trusting the Binance exchange.
1388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: According To me Ethereum Looks Weak on: January 13, 2023, 09:17:46 PM
Ethereum is now looking so bullish. Some weeks ago there was chance to down Ethereum to 800$ and I was waiting for it but market turned into bullish and now it's price above 1300$ which is plus point fir this who already took entry. Ethereum Usecase is high and after every dump big whales will accumulate it in big quantity.
With a few pumps, I don't consider it bullish but just normal price interactions when the demand increases. But of course, we know the potentiality of this project and we know that ETH is here to accompany Bitcoin which means that once BTC grows it certainly affects ETH as well. Well, whales can possibly make an effect and could somehow change the trend but I don't care about it because they can't fully control ETH. The dump and pump situation that we see today couldn't be enough to think that ETH is now in the hands of the whales but I see this very usual thing to see in the market.
1389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 13, 2023, 09:54:16 AM
...
I think Spurs have enough salary cap to offer him a better contract.
They're not the team that spends outrageous amount of money that easily so they definitely have some space. Their projected available cap is around $27.1 million while maximum possible is around $49.8 million https://www.spotrac.com/nba/san-antonio-spurs/cap/

Those above figures looks better than Clarkson's current salary at Jazz. The man is probably playing it smart if his rumored extension decline is true. He knows he's not getting any ring soon so why not have a bigger pay day while he still has something to offer?

But the San Antonio Spurs aren't actually trying to acquire Clarkson, are they? I mean, I haven't read some teams that has surfaced on the internet who are trying to acquire him. As of now, Clarkson is not yet interested in the Utah Jazz's offer to him and I've read that the said team are rebuffing the offer to get Clarkson interested.

Quote
Stein later reported that Clarkson is seeking an extension worth about $18-20 million per year — in other words, more than the Jazz can legally offer right now.
https://www.sltrib.com/sports/jazz/2023/01/12/why-would-jordan-clarkson-rebuff/

This means we won't be seeing him in Jazz uniform anymore. I don't know what would happen to the Jazz without him because I'm sure you observe that once Clarkson is on the floor, the flow of offense is very good. He has actually improve himself to be an all-around player, he does not only produce points but also very effective being a facilitator.
1390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: January 13, 2023, 08:10:36 AM

They are both throwing accusations at each other, and I'm sure this will continue until they finalized the contract and the deal, both are trash talkers and they are going to hate each other until they face in the ring, we all hope that this will not become another Crawford - Spence scenario where they agree to fight but for some circumstances, the fight won't push through, we are tired of this kind of scenario boxers should go for legacy not for money, not because they are going to lose the zero in their ring record.

They hate each other prior to the fight and it has that been for years. And now that they fight is inching closer, I doubt that this two will simply stop. On the contrary it will be very vicious verbal jabs between the two.

We really don't know who is going to win with this trash talking, but for sure we would like to hear more of that because that is part of selling this fight to casul and hard core fans.

I really like how Ryan Garcia is talking because it will improve his value and people might think he could really beat Davis. I really don't know who will win, both have a strong chin, well for Garcia he went down once but we saw how he stand up and beat his opponent that fight. I'm really excited for this upcoming fight, we should see a very entertaining one because now they are already throwing verbal jabs.
1391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How profitable it is possible to invest in bitcoins in the new year 2023. on: January 12, 2023, 09:12:08 AM
It was profitable OP, no doubt. But if we wonder why some investors had lost their money? It is simply because they are not good at investing and handling Bitcoin. Because in their mind that once they invest today they can make money by tomorrow, it is a wrong perception and they end up selling as they never understand the situation. The future of our investment lies in the hand of the investor, not the market. It was us personally to decide what we wanted to happen but if we lose control of everything, failure and losses are what we really get.

1392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Learn from my mistake, these people aren't playing on: January 12, 2023, 08:35:48 AM
Appreciate that you can tell your story, might stop some people from being scammed out of money with these programs. Many projects are like this. Whatever elements are popular recently, they start to make projects. Generally, such projects will not last long before being discovered by people and then dying. There are many more examples like yours in the crypto world. It's just that they didn't explain it to people for various reasons. Our investment can only figure out the project background and project team by ourselves. But sometimes we still fall into the trap of liars when we think carefully. I hope that everyone's investment risks can be controlled within a controllable range. Don't lose more by being greedy.
We have a lot of issues just like this, things aren't easy this time, and investing seems to need to do extra cautious. Nevertheless, I'd never think this could stop people from getting scammed because even though many times we heard about this scam issue, many people are still blind not to see it, especially those who are wanted to become rich instantly.

Whether we like it or not, scams remain and it is up to us now to determine if that is legit or not. But the best thing to do is to invest only those coins/projects that have been proven profitable already.
1393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Caleb Plant vs David Benavidez on: January 12, 2023, 05:20:37 AM
^^ Everyone here is inclined to see Benavidez vs Canelo, it will be a fresh challenge for the cash cow and so it will be interesting how he will deal with the youth of Benavidez and the speed and the power as well (although David is flat footed).

And I'm thinking that if Plant wins here, Canelo will not give him another opportunity.

He might go directly with Bivol again, regardless if the weight is 168-175 lbs. Bivol is more willing to fight Canelo at this point for his legacy.

I am not sure regarding Bivol. First of all, he is not happy about not receiving the purse for his fight against Canelo that happened last year. The payment was frozen as a result of US sanctions against Russian athletes and as far as I know Bivol hasn't received a penny yet. And secondly it is funny that Canelo wants Bivol to drain down to 168 lb. Why should Bivol do that? Canelo already lost to Bivol and now it is the former's responsibility to set up a re-match. I don't think that Bivol would agree to move the fight from 175 lb. The risk is too large and there is almost zero reward in offer.

By saying it's frozen, does it mean there's still a chance that they will give that winning at the right time? And about that sanction, is it still on until now? I know everyone wants to see a rematch between him and Canelo, but with that kind of sanctions, what kind of reward he will get if he wins?
1394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 12, 2023, 05:00:28 AM
Yep completely a KNICK Homer but Jalen Brunson has been an absolute steal in free agency.  Everyone kept saying how the Knicks overpaid, by the end of his contract it might one of the best value contracts in all of NBA.  dude is so clutch in the 4th.  And my boy grimes killing it in the end.

Indian able to come back bro, I don't know but it seemed like they don't know how to protect their good lead, good thing they won the game and also cover the spread. Brunson is such a great steal, he was exposed when he was in Dallas, this guy really has the talent and could become a superstar one day.
1395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay away from BONK on: January 11, 2023, 09:31:42 PM
It’s like any of these meme coins, they are high risk but carry a high reward. It’s not a good idea to go running after green candles but this race could still have a while to run. What I mean is, it could still have a higher upside potential.
I see a lot of people joining and buying coins in hyped and making huge money. I don't think it was a piece of luck or something but definitely, these people are too smart in handling the situation and could make selling their coins at the perfect time.
Quote
Don’t risk a large % of your portfolio in this but a small allocation could be OK. I just prefer not to invest in large supply coins/tokens where a big % of supply is owned by a small amount of investors/developers.

Some people make a lot of money in coins like this but the risk is that the large bag holders dump on you & you are not able to react quick enough which results in you being rugged. Just DYOR & be careful out there.
I agree with the high risk in investing in these meme coins or any coins that have no working product. But I was also amazed at some people who could make a good shot out of it and earn big. But I don't encourage people to even try doing this unless we are ready to lose our money.
1396  Economy / Economics / Re: what is the key to your success investing in bitcoin.. on: January 11, 2023, 02:10:22 PM

: buy at a low price sell at a high price.

: must hold strong, and do not sell it when the price drops.

All of these things are just fundamentals of how investors work but to become successful must accompany these things;
- Capital
- patience
- faith/trust
- positive mindset
- goal

It was not impossible to go far even beyond your expectation if you will carry all of these things and be consistent in doing this. Many people have tried but also many had failed because of being irresponsible. An absence of any of those things really has a huge impact on what we expected and could possibly lead to losses.
1397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 11, 2023, 07:17:27 AM
If it will take only a month for a quad strain then they might be lucky. All that's left of the Chicago Bulls is to survive these next games then the All-Star break will come, who knows if DeRozan is okay by that time? They still have halfway to winning most of their game.
The only question is "if" it will be that fast to heal. From the looks of his sudden drop on the floor, it's bad, I wish not.

Well, what I heard before is that 1 month is the minimum amount of time to completely heal it. We do not know yet the full report on how serious it was but the way I see it, it seems bad. DeRozan might be out for the whole season, who knows but hopefully it'll heal fast.

Yes, I think that looks bad and I also think that they will not risk his heath by making him return early as that might ruin his value. DeRozan was a big piece of their good success so far, but with what happened, the future of the Bulls now is questionable. Them making it in the playoffs, I think it will unlikely happen.
1398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 11, 2023, 06:48:26 AM
0/1 for my early bet. Portland Trail Blazers cannot get that lead that they want in the 4th quarter. They got near but the Orlando Magic preserved it as much as possible. 106-109.
I was expecting them to win because they are already in a losing streak and the Magic could be tired. But I saw a different game, Blazers were so bad early, they let the Magic had a big lead, good thing they were able to come back but maybe they got tired in the 2nd half.

My live bets lost too.
Golden State Warriors ML opened @2.00. They tried to make a run in the 4th quarter cutting the lead to single digits but they ran out of time. Good to see their starters back though and creating rhythm before they go to the road.
It's a bad game, Curry return and Suns had no Paul and Booker but they still lose, not good.

Waiting for my 1 win if the Clippers can protect their lead until the buzzer sounds against Mavs. It's not that I doubt them but it's Luka Doncic making magic even if he lacks time.
Congrats on this one mate.
1399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Is The level of impact of FTX crash on Your portfolio? on: January 10, 2023, 09:56:05 PM
We can't deny OP that because of FTX the market prices drop and everyone is affected. Though it badly affects my portfolio, I'd never find it unreasonable to become worried and panic about the future of my investments. Now, as we can see the market is able to recover and this is probably because people aren't too emotional when it comes to this issue anymore. It somehow gives some market shake but that was only for the short-term, the market will still move forward as long as holders and investors have trust on crypto.
1400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: January 10, 2023, 11:49:28 AM

I not seeing that Ryan Garcia will just knockout Tank in 2 rounds. No one has knock him out in his career, and besides, Tank has a great boxing IQ so he will not fall for the trap of rushing to Ryan's left hook and getting lay down on the canvass. This fight might goes up to at least over 7.5 rounds.

This two is going to be very cautious, but their power punches are going to be loaded and ready so that when the moment arrives, they will just unload that one and see how they will take it. Tank takes a lot of good shot from Hector but wasn't affected. On the contrary, Ryan Garcia's chin has been tested by Luke Campbell with that hook and goes down. So if Tank left hook landed flush on Ryan, who knows, it could be the end of the fight.

Usually, when two great fighters step on the same ring, especially when both are undefeated, we will not going to see any knock downs through the fight. Because, just like what you said, both fighters will be cautious and they will be more defensive than being offensive, thinking how strong and unpredictable the opponent is.
In this case, either both of the fighters see an advantage, most probably one of them will grab it to get a solid win.

It's okay for me if I will not see a KO, but looking at their KO rate, I'm pretty sure that one will them will go down and the other will be victorious. We don't know if it's Davis or Garcia, but one thing is sure is that this fight is going to be one of the greatest fight this year.
Quote
Hoping to see a good action for both fighters.
We will for sure.
