401  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What would you tell your younger self to learn this space efficiently? on: November 16, 2023, 09:41:33 AM
With all the knowledge you have everything regarding cryptocurrency, what would you tell your younger self in order to learn the best / fastest to get the most out of this space?
I would tell myself not to be in rush to gain. Take time to learn and never believe those who are promising quick profit. Because that's the weakness that many of us can't resist.

When I was a newbie, I have many experienced of losing my money due to wrong investment. Greed is one factor that led me to such situation and for not being knowledgeable. So if ever I had the chance to turn back time and repeat everything, certainly all these mistakes won't happen again. Because i'm aware of what to do in order to stay in crypto longer with no to less losses for doing what is right.
402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is it still risky to Invest into Altcoin now? on: November 16, 2023, 01:06:46 AM
I would like to brief about the current market situation as there has been surge in value of altcoins a much higher surge compared to Bitcoin and many would have utilised this momentum to gain profit but if we look at the other side if you just look for top gainers you will find altcoins with top surge but the next day or after few days if you check the top losers you will find the same top gainers in this list as well. So there is a price increase for altcoin but not a established one like Bitcoin, because we have not seen dump in the value of Bitcoin for over an month now but Altcoins has been pumping and dumping and in my opinion it's not worth to make entery for long term as of now it's good only for quick profit whole being very active. What's your opinion ? Shall we invest or just involve in quick trades ?
Don't get attracted if the price of altcoins are rising. What if you buy and then the price suddenly dump right after you do it? That's the risk of investing in alts especially those that are not established. If you want to take advantage the frequent changes on the price of altcoins the best time to do it is during dip.

Therefore joining the ride now is quite risky, but of course it's up to you. However, keep in mind that losing your capital is likely to happen. So if I were to invest at this time, I prefer the established ones especially Bitcoin, ETH and BNB.
403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How discipline are you in managing your bankroll? on: November 16, 2023, 12:20:55 AM
Could you please share some of your honest experiences here and how you became a disciplined gambler, particularly in managing your bankroll? What factors do you consider to be satisfied and to stick with the game plan all the time?
Before, I also gamble recklessly and not thinking of the consequences of my actions. But it's true that if you already experienced the worse, that's how you'll realize the mistakes you did. A lesson learned the hard way as we often say.

In order to not exceeds on my limit, I have a set budget everytime I gamble. Regardless of the result (win or lose) that's the only money I can use. But to do this, one should have self control to not be tempted. Because if you can't stick to your set budget, chances are you will always be tempted to deposit again to feed your eagerness to play.
404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever heard about financing a gambler? on: November 15, 2023, 09:37:24 AM
I see your point and yes if the gambler is really good but make sure that you are willing to risk your money, even how good the gambler was
the venue is gambling and there's no assurance that he can always win.
Indeed. Luck has a major role for a gambler to win therefore even he's good in the particular game, winning is still not guaranteed. Thus, the decision depends if you're still willing to lend money and take a risk despite of this fact.

Maybe is some sessions he can win but if emotion beat him up expect that he will lose his temper and eventually lose all the money he got, it's more practical to use your money in other investment or play the money on your own.
That's really possible to happen. Financing a gambler is not an investment. I will do this (small amount only) if I really know the person and would not expect anything in return. If he win then better, but if not then he don't need to bother paying me back or thinking he owe me something.
405  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: November 15, 2023, 05:23:05 AM
Back to betting and winning, there is a big win with a Big Bass Bonanza.

The player wins a big amount because of the bet amount not because of getting a high multiplier, the most fun is getting a high multiplier with only a small bet amount, and wonder how many spins he spent to finally get that multiplier, because even though it was possible to get it in the first spin but it's so difficult it could almost be said to be impossible
I played big bass bonanza very often some time ago, and I could say this is my favorite slot, but it never reached a multiplier above 1000x, the highest is 100x-200x if I remember correctly, and this slot always tempts me to try again, even though it's not the case. lucky in that slot.
Casinos use the winnings achieved by their users as a form of promotion to attract many users and also prove the legitimacy of their casino because winning means there is a big withdrawal from players.
I agree. The gambler had a decent win and it's also because of his bet. I admire his guts since not all can do that and as you've said we don't know how much he already spent before hitting the x158.50 multiplier. In slots, what amazed me more is a small bet that hit a high multiplier, more satisfying and it gives motivation that it can happen to us too.

Anyway, I never had the chance to play Big Bass Bonanza because its provider is restricted here. So there are limited slots where I can play. The maximum bet I can afford is $2 and I don't go beyond that knowing how hard it is to become lucky on slots. So it's nice seeing other gamblers are able to risk a huge amount and the result of their bet is positive.
406  Economy / Economics / Re: Being rich = not looking at price tag on: November 15, 2023, 04:35:38 AM
I often read people saying they want to earn enough money so they don't have to look at price tag of product. Imo, even if you are rich you wouldn't want to spend money on things that are not worthy of price being paid.

You wanna look at product and then it's price, if it's worthy of price, you purchase the product.
That's how it should be. We check the price of the product and decide if it's worth its price. The saying "becoming rich means you don't have to look at price tag" I interpret it this way -if you became rich or at least financially stable, regardless of the price of the specific product, you can afford it to pay because you have enough money.

But it doesn't necessarily mean you'll buy anything just because you're capable to pay. Of course, we need to check if the product is not overprice and worthy to buy. We also need to be wise knowing that money is not easy to earn. Rich people are aware of that especially those who started not being a well-off.
407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gambling and Invest in gambling. on: November 14, 2023, 09:24:35 PM
How do I take advantages over the gambles while I am not gambling anymore?
I tend to invest in the gambling. How?
At my visits in the gambling grounds, I will be lending my funds to the losers who has run out of  funds and willing to bet more if they have more money.
I tends to make this a deal with interest charges with concrete agreement to be secured and I will be opened to also accepting collaterals.

I verily know that I will succeed more of the inexperienced and those gamblers who doesn't have gambling budgets including those who can't take control over their gambling emotions
By reading the title I thought you're going to quit and invest on casino itself. But that's not the case since you planned to become a lender of those gamblers who still want to play but running out of budget. I don't think this is a good idea and a risky move not only for you but for the borrower as well. You're taking advantage their eagerness to continue playing even to the point they will even give a collateral as an assurance that they will pay back.

Well, that's your strategy. But IMO it doesn't feel good to take advantage the weakness of others for your own benefit. Gambling is addicting and those who are in that position, must be advice to stop, don't tolerate and don't push them to their limit. In this case, that's what you're doing even you consider it as your investment.
408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Health Benefits of Gambling on: November 14, 2023, 09:51:34 AM
Gambling is not bad after all but addiction is, gambling has been receiving a lot of negative reactions and feedback but gambling also has a lot of health benefits associated with it but you can only get these benefits if you are a responsible gambler and you have total control of what you wage and limit your bankroll
Gambling has its positive and negative effects depending on how the gambler play. But often, we don't notice its good sides because many gamblers are not playing to entertain themselves. It became a way for many of us to double or triple our money with a mindset of getting rich quick. This is the reason why those who play with such desire tend to experience the negative effects of gambling. There's a good sides of it however not everyone are able to know or experience these effects due to the way they gamble.
409  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: November 14, 2023, 04:45:55 AM
Nakita ko lang bitpinas na nagkaroon daw ng data breach si coins.ph, nakareceive ba kayo ng email galing sa kanila? Wala akong nareceive na email galing sa kanila na nagsasabi ng data breach.
News: Coins.ph Suffers Data Breach: Select Users’ Personal Info Compromised

410  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you rather make your investments in FIAT or CRYPTO? on: November 14, 2023, 12:41:52 AM
The crypto market has a high level of volatility. Anyone who is about to make an investment needs to have a good understanding of the volatile market. Now the question is, even with volatility, will you still choose to make your investment in fiat through bank savings with regular monthly interests or rather make your investments in crypto where you hold your asset and still have the opportunity to save and make monthly interest?
I will choose to invest in crypto (in Bitcoin specifically). However, gaining interest monthly is not that accurate in crypto since it depends on the status of the market and the coins that you're holding. But the potential to gain huge is always there especially if the coin that you buy is Bitcoin. It's true that an investors needs to understand what they are getting into before engaging themselves since Bitcoin is unpredictable and also associated with risk.

On the other side, I can't consider saving money in banks as an investment due to low interest. When it comes to fiat, I'd rather invest in gold than in banks.
411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you want to play on casinos without KYC requirements? on: November 13, 2023, 07:44:09 PM
Why would you want to avoid being identified, if you gamble legally and if you are not a criminal? Let's discuss the reasons why KYC are not advantageous for the gamblers and casinos?
Simple reason is because I want to play anonymously. It's all about privacy that the platform is not holding any of my private information because it can leak anytime if there's a data breach. The security of data is often a concern.

That's why if possible, I want to play without undergoing identity verification. However, we know nowadays, many casinos are implementing this for the reasons you have stated (to prevent fraud, age verification etc.) and it's a reality that we need to accept if we want to gamble in legitimate casinos since they're just doing it for legal compliance.
412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Luck and skill, which is more important for gambling success? on: November 13, 2023, 05:31:58 AM
So I am tempted to inquire if skill is all that is needed to be successful in gambling or luck. Whichever be the option, which of them is the most important factor for gambling success?
There are skill based games (sports betting and card games like poker) that knowledge and strategy are an edge for a gambler to increase the chances to win. On the other side there are also luck based games wherein the chances to win is entirely relying on luck.

However, regardless what games you're playing, luck has a major role for a gambler to win the game. That being said, it is the important factor in gambling. But, it's hard to be successful (to have a consistent winning) since the profits are not guaranteed. Thus, we should not treat gambling as our source to earn money. Hence, don't gamble if that's your main desire.
413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler's family action. on: November 13, 2023, 03:19:00 AM
1. Dis the family of this young man went too extreme in trying to help stop their brother from gambling addiction or not?
Yes because they're already threatening the gambling shops which I think is not right. Although it's understandable why they resorted to this kind of solution, maybe this is the only way for them to stop the young man from playing.

2. Assuming you are this young man and you had to run to a distant location to carry out your gambling as you are allowed to gambling within your neighborhood and luckily you won huge sum of million dollars. Would you share that money with your loved ones who were barring you from gambling or you will just stay off from them and live new found wealthy live alone?
I will still share my winnings. Family is family and that's the fact. They might be against me being a gambler but I can understand that they're just concern. Winning huge is an achievement for a gambler so I will try. But I have a doubt if they will going to accept the money that came from gambling knowing their stance.
414  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Nag Rug Pull Na Nang Inis Pa, Dev Abandon NFT games on: November 13, 2023, 12:59:12 AM

415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A tip for staying resposible while gambling. on: November 12, 2023, 10:42:24 PM
While gambling some people gamble with small amounts which is not very important for them, but for those who are new to gambling and not able to control themselves or play with something reasonable amount.
So I have a tip for them you can stick a real paper money note in front of your monitor which will remind you that money is hard to earn and play responsibly or don't play with big amounts.
the note will remind every time that how you earned that money, and if you are controlled and this tip is not very important for you them you can ignore it, but i found this helpful.
I don't think this will gonna work but it's not a pain if we're going to try, who knows right? It might be helpful to remind us not to exceeds to our limit and always stick to our set budget. It's not really easy to earn money so don't just spend it if you are not sure if you can stand losing it in gambling.

In the end it's still depend on us on how we control ourselves when we are already playing. Because if you don't discipline yourself then any strategies to remind you to play in moderation is useless.
416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you use bitcoin when gambling? on: November 12, 2023, 09:30:11 PM
Yes I often use Bitcoin everytime I gamble since it is the widely accepted crypto of the casinos. But due to the increasing transaction fees and the situation that bear market seems over (given that the price is rising because of the recent positive news affecting Bitcoin) I switched using usdt.

For now, I prefer to accumulate rather than use my Bitcoin to play. And I don't think this is an issue because we can use any coins that we prefer if we think that's convenient to use for us.
417  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: November 12, 2023, 08:56:14 PM
I have already seen a lot of sites and some casinos that become a scam, while they could have made a lot more money if they would stay open and be legit. Somtimes, they just want some quick money. Has happened before and will continue to happen.
This is true. I don't think Roobet will scam anyone, but we can never tell for sure due to various reasons. Look at sites like Ftx, Betnomi etc which seemed perfectly fine one moment and suddenly scammed many in the blink of an eye.

This is why you should never leave your funds on any site regardless of its reputation unless the amount involved is small.
Indeed. This is in general, regardless how reputable the site is and how long they're already operating, we should not leave a huge amount (unless you're going to use it to play from that very moment) on our account. Because anything can happen even the least expected. Hence, it is still best to deposit an amount that you will already use for playing and not an amount that you'll leave there for long.

Anyway, IMO as long as the business is gaining revenue, it's unlikely that they will turn to scam unless it's already planned. It just that, there are instances where the business is closing down and common reason is bankruptcy.
418  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: November 10, 2023, 04:37:50 AM
If we invest in crypto of course we will choose Bitcoin as the investment we choose because it is very leveraged that we can get profits from Bitcoin if we can collect it with the strategy we choose, choosing altcoins to invest of course we have to really know well about the altcoin that we choose because it is very difficult to make a profit.
Many investors still prefer alts instead of Bitcoin because of the possibility to gain huge in a short period (especially if you invest on the current hype like meme coins) that's what they thought. But not realizing that investing solely to Bitcoin is way safer and less risky. It might take time to gain but at least it's much wiser compared to investing in altcoins.

Therefore, buy Bitcoin and keep holding because it's the best choice.
419  Economy / Economics / Re: "I saw my salary on a bottle of perfume today" on: November 10, 2023, 03:10:11 AM
I bring up this to talk about financial freedom. What is financial freedom to you? Is it about having a certain amount of money that is required to have financial freedom or to have an amount of money which can potentially give you freedom in the future?
Financial freedom that can last longer or until you're not capable to work already is much better. Thus I will choose the second option because it's not only about the present time, it's crucial that in the future you still have this freedom so you can live the way you wanted and not struggling. It doesn't matter if currently your salary's worth is small for others, it just that, they're fortunate to live comfortably and able to buy luxury items.

Thus, don't compare what you earn to others because as long as you're doing what you can and striving to achieve your goal then it is not impossible to have a financial freedom base on your own perspective.
420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Investment, Beyond "Invest What You Can Afford to Lose" on: November 10, 2023, 01:15:30 AM
The phrase "invest what you can afford to lose" has long been the go to advice when it comes to Bitcoin investments.
This is a basic rule and should still be apply regardless how certain or profitable the investment is. We know investing in Bitcoin is really worth it and we can attest to this fact (especially the investors who are long been here). But, despite this, we can't still recommend to someone who like to invest in Bitcoin that he/she can use any amount because the profits are guaranteed. There's still risk and we're not certain what the future holds for Bitcoin.

Therefore it just right to remind them about this common phrase although it's on the investor's discretion if they will follow this rule when they engage themselves. In the end, it's up to us since we have the right to disregard this if we are firm to what we believe in.
