Fiat will eventually fail. The problem is they're trying to use inflation to "inflate away" the debt, but actual markets can only deal with that for so long. They have the money printer; we don't.
Inflation is currently a global issue, though it is worse off in underdeveloped countries and regions that have an unstable economy, too many governments around the world have been printing money out of thin air since the period of Covid-19 in order to solve short term problems and create long term inflation.

Notwithstanding all of these, fiat isn't going to fail, at least not the fiat currencies of countries with a stable and healthy economy, as for the countries that do not have a viable economy and with a currency that is as good as worthless, they will probably end up adopting a stronger fiat currency, like the U.S. dollar for example, as many countries do already.

Real Madrid style of play will suit Mbappe and he is going to fit into the team very well. He stands a better chance of winning the champions league in the Madrid shirt as PSG has failed to offer give him that. He is going to be a big loss for PSG, I hope they can find a perfect replacement for him.
It would be almost impossible for PSG to replace Mbappe, we're talking about one of the best players in the world here, and again it has been said that PSG have changed their style of recruitment, they want to stop buying star/world class players, but instead they now want to recruit mostly homegrown players and groom them into stars.

Having said that, Mbappe's future is so uncertain right now, one minute you feel like it is almost certain he'd sign for Real Madrid and the next minute you think otherwise. We'd have to wait until the summer to see if he either signs a new contract or exits PSG for another team.
423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: January 15, 2024, 09:49:01 PM
In my opinion, the biggest favorites are City and Real Madrid, although Bayer Munich is a team that loves the championship, I can say that they have not shown any weakness at the moment. As the eliminations approach, the pieces will fall into place.
I think one of the three teams you've mentioned above (City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich) will be champions, of course City are the defending champions (having won the CL for the first time last season), and they'll want to defend their title. The thing i love most about City is their lack of complacency, they always want success every season, notwithstanding whatsoever they achieved the previous season.

City beat Bayern (in the QF) and Real Madrid (in the SF) on their way to the trophy last season, and if they meet either team in this knockout stage, it would be pretty tough and there would be a sense of revenge. It would be interesting to see how things pan out.
424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to check if an altcoin is a scam on: January 15, 2024, 01:57:16 PM
There are quite a lot of existing scam projects and so many are being created daily, thus i just take every new project to be a scam until proven otherwise. I don't invest in altcoins that's why i do that, but i know it would be difficult for an altcoin investor to do so because they have to buy coins early and sell them once they have made ROI.

It is what it is, and if someone decides to invest in a lot of altcoins, they must understand the risk and that it is even akin to gambling, you might think a project is legit and be completely wrong, and the reverse could also happen. Every altcoin investor must be ready for things such as these, thats why i buy only Bitcoin.
425  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't trust social media on: January 15, 2024, 11:19:21 AM
I've steered clear of falling for airdrops promising easy money; now, I focus on bounties. Currently, I'm an admin for a project I find trustworthy (at least based on my analysis).
Mind you that bounties are also very risky and more often than not they do not pay participants who work for them, i'm not trying to discourage you if you think participating in bounties is the right thing to do, but i am just stating the fact. The days when bounties were profitable are already long gone, and these days 99% of bounty campaigns are run by scam projects that are only created to enrich their creators.

Im not pretty sure they got the keys, since if they have the keys for the wallet, they would have transfer the amount for the transfer but instead what they are doing is wait for us to send a certain amount that will automatically send it to their desired wallet,
What are you talking about, read the OP well before commenting. According to the OP, the wallet was compromised and the hacker has already emptied the wallet. The problem here is that the owner of the wallet has a token that he staked and the hacker cannot move it yet because staked funds are locked, so OP now wants to know if there is a way to stop the hacker from moving the staked coins and the accrued yield once it is released.
A wallet specifically for Bitcoin alone is called a Bitcoin wallet while those that contain more cryptos are called crypto wallets.
Wouldn't the most appropriate term be a multi-coin/multi-crypto wallet.
427  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Should we be expecting it or it has happened already on: January 14, 2024, 09:36:03 PM
I know say plenty people don dey para as Bitcoin price never begin pump as dem been think am, you know say before dem approve ETF, plenty people don dey talk say once the SEC approve ETF say Bitcoin price go just begin rise, but as the approval happen, no be wetin people begin see, so the complain don already start.

The thing be say, make una dey patient, i don't think person suppose sell their Bitcoins now, instead you suppose dey reason how to acquire more, this year go dey very bullish for Bitcoin and investors suppose just dey patient.
428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Counterwallet down on: January 14, 2024, 09:07:38 PM
If none of their links is working, then the project is prolly "dead" and the developers are no longer contributing to it. BTW why are you looking for this wallet now, after a year or so (like you said). Do you have funds locked in this wallet? If you do not, then forget about this wallet and seek other alternatives. You can post the coins you want to store and you'll receive recommendations on the wallets to use.
429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 14, 2024, 06:24:59 PM
Everto managed to hold Aston Villa to a 0-0 draw at home and it was a good job.
It was a good point for the two teams, most especially Everton who came into this game on the back of three consecutive EPL losses against Spurs, City and the latest one was a 3-0 defeat against Wolves. Even though Everton didn't get back to winning ways today, they at least they got a point that keeps them in 17th position and out of the relegation zone for now. Aston Villa remain in 3rd position on 43 points, same as City (though the champions have a game in hand), if Aston Villa continue to pick up points the way they have been doing in the last couple of weeks, they might be playing in the CL next season.

And if change the password of the wallet then the owner would not have access to it but since he has not changed it both nof them can use it and the hacker is waiting for the owner of the wallet to deposit funds again so the best way is to withdraw everything from the wallet and abandon the wallet and us another one.
The hacker already compromised the wallet and stole the keys, so the hacker is in control of the wallet and has moved the funds out of the wallet, OP is talking about withdrawing funds from staking he was doing in that wallet, though i don't think it is possible because the hacker must have set up a sweeper bot to move any funds that enters that wallet and it would definitely be faster than an human action.

Having said that, mind you that passwords only protect your wallet file when it is in your device, if an attacker has your keys or seed phrase, they would import it in their own device and set any password of their own choice.
431  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: IMPORTANT! Always check your Seed twice. on: January 14, 2024, 02:56:17 PM
Even with the private key, if a letter is accidentally capitalized or in lowercase or if an extra or missing character is present, it will cause a big problem.
I know that with HD wallets, nowadays nobody backs up the private keys to their different addresses, because the seed phrase is enough to generate everything. But i just want to add that if you lose your seed phrase and your wallet file is not in any of your devices, but you have the private key to the address hodling your funds, you can use it to import that address into a wallet and spend your funds, but don't depend on that, back up your seed phrase securely and have 2-3 copies of it in different places.

Son is at the Asian Cup too so they will need somebody to step up in his absence. I am doubtful Werner will come close to replicating the influence Son has.
Of course Timo Werner cannot, and then they also have Richarlison who is on the same level with Werner as average players, so i would have imagined that this is the time for him to step up in Son's absence. Well, if Ange went for Werner, then he definitely has plans for him in the team, we'd see how everything pans out.

Werner's potential first game is a big one against Manchester United, that is if the manager thinks he is ready to play on Sunday, if he can go on and make a statement in such a big game, we might start to take him seriously in his new team.  Grin
433  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: IMPORTANT! Always check your Seed twice. on: January 12, 2024, 09:17:44 PM
Cross-checking your seed before sending is very important because much attention and carefulness is paramount during transactions, checking your seed twice gives you assurances of what you have done in other to avoid mistake and in every transaction we make ,we need extra caution in other to avoid phishing, delay or even get lost .  Since our seeds are very important to us
Lol, why do you have to check your seed phrase backup before making a transaction, if you have to double check anything before making a transaction, it is the address that you are sending funds to. Keep your keys/wallet in an offline device or in a hardware wallet and keep your seed phrase backup in a very safe location and you don't have anything to worry about, neither do you have to check it every other day.
434  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin ETF will make way for altcoins ETF on: January 12, 2024, 10:53:44 AM
If we look at how long e been take the SEC to approve Bitcoin spot etf in the United States, you go know say Altcoins ETF no go happen overnight, if at all e go happen. I don't think there is enough request for either Ethereum, XRP (or any other altcoin) spot etf in the United States, na just as dem approve Bitcoin spot ETF i begin see news wey dey talk say na altcoins be next.

Having said that, make we watch wetin go happen, but you know say altcoins dey more risky than Bitcoin, because many of them no get use cases, so i think the SEC go dey very reluctant to approve any altcoin ETF.

-Bayern München loaned Eric Dier. Good addition to defense.
Good deal, especially for the Englishman, Erik Dier. He has not started too many games under Ange Postecoglou, thus he really had to leave, but the best part about leaving is that he is joining one of the biggest clubs in the world, with a chance of winning trophies, something that has proven impossible at Spurs. If Dier performs well during this loan spell, i'm pretty sure Bayern Munich would be more than happy to make the deal a permanent one. Dier will also be linking up with one of his former teammates in Bayern, Harry Kane, this will help him settle down a whole lot quicker.

Against Copenhagen, I'd love to see once again, Copenhagen did well against Bayern Munich also, keys see what happens when they face the defending Champions.
Copenhagen had a fantastic group stage, to make it out of a group that nobody actually gave them a chance is a wonderful feat, i'm pretty sure once the group stage draw was made, 10 out of 10 people thought that Copenhagen would finish fourth, but they proved everyone wrong and did the unexpected.

Having said that, i'm afraid that their CL journey would come to an end in the RO16, i cannot see any chance of City being eliminated by Copenhagen, make no mistake that it is going to be a tough game, but the team that would come out on top would be the treble winners.

I wish Sancho and Erik Ten Hag could have settled their differences, Manchester United signed him for a lot of money, it’s a shame to see him go.
Erik Ten Hag was too hard/harsh with Sancho, if i was Sancho i'd have done nothing different, it is a football club of men and not a high school football team, you have to treat the players with respect and not disrespect them and demand an apology. Sancho has not completely left Manchester United as this is a loan deal, but i don't see any way back for him in United, if he performs well during this loan spell, Dortmund would prolly make it permanent or another club in Europe would demand for his services.
438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Look out for a good Altcoin and buy now! on: January 11, 2024, 07:17:07 PM
Remember that you shouldn't be giving investment advice to people, they can see the events as they happen, so they should do their own research and decide if they want to invest and the coins they want to buy. Bitcoin spot ETF's have been approved in the United States, but who can predict what will happen in the market in the long run. Altcoins are not long term projects, so buying them early might not be a good decision, people usually wait to see the direction of the market before buying alts and i think that strategy is a good one.

While we are getting close to last 16 in the Champions League this kind of news must be feeling amazing for Guardiola.  Smiley  Because he really needs their best players on the pitch to be able to go for a back-to-back title. Otherwise their job can be extra difficult.
It is fantastic news for City as they welcome back their players from the treatment table, i think only Stones and Prolly Akanji are injured right now, but not serious injuries anyway, so they should be back in a few weeks or even less. It is good for a manager to have every player fit and available, especially a manager like Pep who likes to tinker, change tactics frequently and start players out of their original positions. City finally won the CL last season, but that is just one and i am pretty sure they'd want to do it again and again, just as they are doing in the EPL, it would definitely be tougher but not impossible.
440  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the world soon become tired of the US dollar? on: January 10, 2024, 11:14:15 AM
It is just like other cryptos are doing to compete against Bitcoin for top most valuable coin of the future.
If we are to go by this analogy, how many altcoins have been able to do this, do you know how many shitcoins that people said would be the "next Bitcoin", but right now they are either worthless or completely out of the market.
What the BRICS countries by my thoughts are simply doing is nothing more than creating an alternative to an almost monopolized dollar currency, with the hopes that the currency would compete with the dollar, thus dropping or restricting the power it has over the world economy.
Mind you that the "BRICS countries" do not have a unified currency, all member nations have their individual currencies, so amongst these currencies, which do you think is going to render the dollar "dead" and become the world's reserve currency?
