461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Know, But Can i Invest In Bitcoin? on: December 28, 2023, 09:19:03 PM
I understand your interest OP and that is because you've heard about earning a profit but that guy never mentioned the risk of this.
What I can say to you is that is not to rush and never invest in Bitcoin if you don't have any idea about this. Just do the research and know more about crypto in order for you to have some views on how this works.

Investing is not a problem OP as you have money but you need to acquire knowledge first before doing this. Have to tell you that many people have lost their money because of this and I hope you won't be like them. So don't easily get tempted by what this guy told you, better know crypto first and this guy as well before trusting.
462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: December 28, 2023, 02:13:22 PM
I had to skip last night as I had 0 confidence in actually placing any bets. All of this because of my previous night where I've went wrong 6 out of 6 games and that really made me upset Sad.
That's how being discipline in gambling. I admire you for that.

I'm a bit surprised to see Mavs losing against Cavs but as soon as Luka scored a few points under 40 , his team knows they will lose because that's how bad his team mates are.

If you had watched the game you will know that Mavericks were just unlucky that they went into scoring drought, but it was a winnable game for them. Their shot selections were terrible and they commit turnovers and outrebounded, that happened in the game, but you can't blame them because scenario like that happen.
463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have we overlooked the many potentials of altcoins? on: December 28, 2023, 09:34:10 AM
Fee issues were not new to the market, especially for Bitcoin and Ethereum but we have alternative coins, TRON and XRP which I often use during this time to cut sending expenses. Unfortunately, we can't just rely on them always, not on all exchange platforms or receiving wallet that never support them, we leave no option but to use BTC or ETH.

Sometimes we need to explore the market and these new project creations, maybe some of them could offer and solve the problem. But because of the scam spread, doubts remain with them. In the end, people still choose to use BTC and ETH, TRX, and XRP even though the fees are quite high.
464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: License: is it a guarantee? on: December 28, 2023, 07:32:55 AM

But have been wondering and wanting to ask, does a license guarantees that a casino won't scam it's customer's going forward.

Obviously no, it's just a protection for the gamblers so if they choose to go after with the casino owner/s, they will be able to file a lawsuit against them, compared to a non license casino where you aren't aware who are the people behind them. The reason for choosing a license casino over none is only to minimize the risk of getting scammed.
465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin HODL: what happens to Bitcoin holders during impressive price increase? on: December 27, 2023, 10:44:41 PM

Question: With the coming of these two major events, assuming the price of Bitcoin turns out to be very impressive and massively different from today's current price, will the majority of Bitcoin holders keep(continue) holding?, or might price temptation just result in them selling to make a profit?.

Thanks for your time.
If that question is for me, I keep holding until the ATH comes and sells but talking to others, can't hold their temptation as it is possible that they fall into that (selling), especially for newbies and inexperienced investors. It was still difficult to assume that everyone kept holing until its peak as for sure some couldn't bear the situation when seeing the price is already double from their buying price. However, given the fact that they are earning already, selling wasn't a bad idea, at least they didn't have a reason to regret if ever the price went too high.
466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It is you who can't stop betting. on: December 27, 2023, 02:09:32 PM
Anyone that is gambling and not able to control it simply means that the person is becoming an addict already or he is already an addict. If you are gambling and you are losing but not able to control it but you continue to lose and you continue to gamble, that means you are an addict.
How about if you are winning and you can't stop? can it still be considered as gambling addict?

I know the question sounds weird because most addicts are losers, but what if we are on the other side, that we are addicted to gambling because it is consistently helping us earning money, it's literrally easy money as they say gambling is easy money, if you are winning.
467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How was your crypto journey this year? on: December 27, 2023, 01:24:07 PM
Well, 2023 doesn't me much profit but at least, I was given the chance to survive and recover some of my losses last year after investing in a scam project (new project).

This year gave me some learning that choosing old projects is better than buying new projects that have no use case. I wasn't that fool but yeah, I'd fall into broken promises from an influencer. This year and in the past year tell me something about how important to spend more time searching for the right project to invest in, not just because someone told it. I was excited now for 2024 as I filled bags will valuable coins, not shitcoins.
468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 26, 2023, 01:02:39 PM

Suns come back strong in the 3rd,  38-27 to take a one point lead going into the 4th.

So another cliff hanger game we have here guys, let's see if the Suns can hold off the Mavs as Greyson Allen is waxing hot from the 3 with a big 27 points right now. I think it's good to see someone other than KD and Booker leading the way for the Suns.

Luka though, with another great numbers, double double with 38 and 10 already.

That only to give the backers a little home but the Mavericks have their own strong run as well.

3rd quarter belonged to the Suns, but the 4th quarter was for the Dallas Mavericks, and as a result Dallas won by 14 points, with 128-114 as the final score

Luka had 50 points and 15 assists, was probably his best performance this season so far. While on the Suns, Durant and Booker struggled to find their offense scoring below their average.

Durant 16 points
Booker 20 points

Luka alone had outscored these two superstars of the Phoenix Suns, that's why they really hate Luka so much.

I'm impressed by how Luka made the Mavericks a really good thing, I think at this point we can already conclude that Luka doesn't need a superstar to play along with him, he just need more role players that are ready to play their roles and accept that Luka is their leader. With that said, I hope the Mavericks will realize early and will think of trading Kyrie.

It will be good though if Luka will have someone to consistently helping him in scoring though, because for sure, it will be hard press for him to go day in day out with that kind of performance. That's why in their lost, you can see that Luka has a big game, but then again, he didn't get the support that he did get here.

What I know is that Luka is making his teammates better, so I trust him on that. In fact, in this game although he score 50 points but he also have his teammates involve since there are players who scored at least 20 points.

1- Lively II 20 points
2- Jones Jr. 23 points
3- Hardaway Jr. 18 points (short by 2 points) Grin

But still a win is a win and I heard that as per MVP is, Joel is 1, Jokic 2, and the Luka 3. As for the Phoenix Suns, I think it will be very difficult for them to make the playoffs even if Bradley Beal becomes healthy. Something is lacking in the team right now, Durant is not his usual self with this Phoenix team, not sure, but it looks like he just going to the motions of playing basketball and not looking to win or his competitiveness is not there with Phoenix.

undated on December 22, 2023, Luka is only at the top 5

Suns are in trouble now, they badly miss Nurkic to man the paint.

"
Bitcoin was never going to die anyways, even though alot of people most especially in the banking sector and other fiat entities like PayPal will really wish bitcoin dies so that they can return fully back into business, but the truth remains that, bitcoin have grown past the stage where it could have easily died,
You are right about banks still hate bitcoins for obvious reason. but it is not same for Paypal anymore. Paypal has accepted the reality and now supports bitcoin and several other cryptocurrencies. which is really a great achievement for Crypto community.

Bitcoin's mass adoption is the reason why Bitcoin Obituaries are reducing year by year. "
Banks hardly accept the fact that someday, people will no longer use banks to store their money which leads to thinking that Bitcoin is a big threat to their business. But Paypal sees some opportunity over crypto making them decide to support it instead of being against the flow. But banks can't stop people from seeing Bitcoin as a great opportunity. It wasn't just for investment purposes but can serve as a payment option in many countries in the future. It wasn't just today nor did the adoption go instant but sooner, we just find out that more people build confidence with Bitcoin for two reasons - as an investment and as currency.

471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Risking 1% in Gambling on: December 23, 2023, 01:44:21 PM
Without taking risk no one can't be successful in life. In gambling you can't in as a gambler if you don't have power to tolerate losses. Because as new gambler you have no experience and you don't have lot capital. In that case you have to take high risk because if you lose it's critical to add extra money from you poket. That's the reason as a new gambler don't want to take risk they played safely and they risk small the lowest amount they can play.

Valid point.

If you won't stake some, you won't win some. You can't really know the results unless you try it yourself. But of course, do it properly. Gambling recklessly and responsibly are two different ways. One way could get you in a lot of troubles and challenges, while the other could provide you entertainment and possible profit on the side. Gambling isn't gambling if there isn't asset involved so you must know how to manage risk, assess risk, and strategize to have a positive outcome. Learn when to take profit and when to cut losses to prevent further damage to your financial capability and to your mental health as well.
While knowing that Gambling is risky and needs luck to win, too uncertain about making passive income no matter what we do. At least spending 1% of our earned money, it is not really hurt to accept if ever we lose. That idea simply helps us understand how important to have limitations. Having been into gambling for many years, overspending usually happens but I practice valuing my hard-earned money so instead of spending $100 a month, I cut it into halves. Since that time I can manage my finances well. Yes, wasn't that easy at first but I tried and got results with the help of spending less time gambling.
472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one did you use to gamble with more on: December 23, 2023, 10:48:23 AM
I don't betting on lines before the game more than any other strategy.

I have tried different strategy in sports betting and I find it betting on pregame odds very relaxing. When I was new, I tried to experiment a lot and based on my expereince, betting live is pretty much stressful because you could easily be tempted in a wrong line, called it trap, and based on the outcome, I lost most of my bets, so I'm not for it.
473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 23, 2023, 09:55:37 AM

Obviously, in the last couple of fights of Inoue, he did score a knockout win that's why he has been tearing this division so to speak eventhough this is just his second fight. But his power is really one of a kind for this lower weight class and we don't know if Tapales has the chin to stay against that power punch.

Inoue does not only attack on the chin, if Tapales has a solid chin, Inoue might go with his signature liver shot. So Tapales has to be protect his weakness as Inoue will certainly find it once they are in the ring. Although Inoue has a lot of power in both hands, but we've seen him struggle a bit during his first fight with Donaire, so it's important that Tapales will look for that weakness too if he wants to have a chance of winning.

It's just unfortunate that most fans believe this is not going to be a competitive fight as believing Tapales only has 10% chance of winning makes the heavy favorite unlikely to lose. That two belts Tapales are holding are non sense in this conversation because we can't make people believe what they don't want to.

Right, that's why Inoue is a complete fighter, if he can't take you with that body shots, it will have a effect on you later as he will soften you up. That's what happen to Butler in their fight, Butler is tough going to almost full round on Inoue, however, that body shots took a toll on him.

Maybe that's one strategy of Inoue here to try and test Inoue in the body first. And then go for the chin and test it throughout the fight. Tapales here is really on a dangerous path and we can only imagine how he can beat the Monster at his prime.

He will surely start with attacking the body so his opponent will be focus on defending his body from the solid shots of Inoue. As the fight goes on, that's when Inoue will try to throw some combination that could also hit the chin of his opponent, and because of his quickness, he'll be able to deliver that.

Let's look back on his last KO win, Inoue hit Fulton to the body and then to the chin, that ended the fight in round 8.

474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take time to read the terms and conditions of casinos before registering? on: December 23, 2023, 05:50:57 AM
The terms and conditions of casinos and other companies is usually very lengthy and somehow boring for some people. Hence , many people rarely find time to read them. They may actually contain some of the complaints that people raise about some casinos such requiring KYC if there is need or suspicion of money laundering activities.

What is your take on this?
Well, I admit to myself that I never read all of the Terms and Conditions of the casino. I could blame myself if ever I violated their rules rather than complaining but it doesn't mean that I was new to how things work out. In fact, without reading we can also ask directly for their support about KYC requirements. Now, it was hard to find gambling sites that never asked for KYC because the majority have been doing this (probably because the government requires them to collect basic information about the registrant). Therefore, I would say that you better prepare to do that as the casino may not ask upon registration but later on, they will implement it.
475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can loneliness make one addicted to gambling on: December 22, 2023, 09:41:41 PM

When you're lonely and unhappy, you begin to look for things to fill up your time and reduce the sadness. This happens subconsciously most times because you don't make a conscious effort to look for these things, it's just what your mind wants.

Why not choose other stuff, not gambling? He had chosen to gamble because he thought that this would be the solution to the problem but he never knew the consequences awaited him. Apparently, there is nothing wrong with gambling but at least, we also know how to control ourselves. Even if you are looking for something that fills the emptiness of your life and see gambling but you can still manage yourself, addiction is not possible. All of these things are manageable, unfortunately, most of us choose not to do it instead, we let our emotions control our minds and end up in the worst scenario which is addiction.
476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Argentina has officially approved the agreement to legalize the use of Bitcoin on: December 22, 2023, 09:23:11 PM
El Salvador, Argentina, and who's next?
Well, the adoption has continued to grow and people have changed their views against Bitcoin, they now see the benefits and opportunities of this technology. We can expect more places to accept Bitcoin as a legal tender and another payment option. For the Argentinian people, it was their chance to enjoy their Bitcoin and the chance for local businesses to accept Bitcoin's payment.

People build confidence using Bitcoin when they know that was legalized already, unlike in the country, it wasn't banned but the support of the government isn't there which could affect the trust and confidence of the users and the ones who accept it as payment as well.
477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 22, 2023, 08:00:46 PM
I also think that Donaire give that advise to Tapales to avoid mistake with his strategy, better to keep close and try to read whatever the fighting style
Inoue will use for their fight.

Though we don't really know what it is and what would be the plan for this upcoming fight, all will be reveal during thier meeting inside the ring.

But the question is if Tapales is capable of doing that supposed advice given by Donaire once in the ring.

Donaire is the only boxer that gives Naoya Inoue a hard fight and I don't think anyone from the entire Super Bantamweight division do have that same capability. Donaire is even the reason why Inoue becomes stronger and since having that tough fight, Inoue makes sure not to repeat being in that hard state again.

As a PH fan of boxing, I do hope though that Tapales will somehow erase all the doubts that he is nothing against the Monster. Impossible might it be for the others, even for most boxing analysts but who knows. At least, Tapales should make this fight not an easy path for Inoue becoming the undisputed champion in the Super Bantamweight.

it will already be a success for Tapales to survive every round and end the fight with UD. inoue is hard to stop. if he KOed Fulton in a brutal way, it would be hard to see Tapales win. but who knows.  Tapales can hurt Inoue for once and make the greatest win of his life. Arum will feel the shocking loss in his life too.
That's at least the expectation of the many. Inoue will likely win a KO, or if Tapales would want to win, it should be by KO also as it's hard to win in Japan if he would just rely on the judges. Inoue is the favorite in their country, so if it's a close fight, expect that points are given to Inoue.

inoue only move up to 122 lbs to unify the belt. he will move up again to 126 to fight Espinoza or Vargas?
As previously reported, after he will unify all the belts, he'll stay for a while to fight challengers, but we never know if their statement would still stand after he can win this fight.
478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum price before Christmas on: December 22, 2023, 03:13:13 PM
Today per Ethereum price averaged $2200. Crypto market is always unpredictable. I think Ethereum is currently stable at a good price. Crypto bull run is likely to happen soon. We cannot hit our target until the market goes into bullish condition. So I think if you want to hit your target with Ethereum then hold on to it. Very soon it will be in a better position and will hit the milestone. But on the day you said it would probably reach $2400 to $2500.

As the price of Bitcoin increases from 43,000$ to 43,640$ and looks like it will continue to increase as the price of Ethereum continues to increase from 2,200$ to 2,208 every day we are in a bull market and halving remaining in the next 100 days and that indicates where we are going to see all markets  green with all the Crypto in all the markets, maybe this is the right time to buy some Crypto that has the potential to benefit us later, at least we have that chance..
Perhaps, it was just a few times that I saw ETH moving in the opposite direction against Bitcoin as most of the time it goes in the same direction.
As we see the price of Bitcoin climbing, we can also expect such a trend as well. In fact, the influence of Bitcoin was not just for ETH alone but the entire crypto market.

Currently, the price of ETH is at $2,300++, we can expect more ups if the Bitcoin does. But I was too optimistic about it, it probably reach $2,500 before we depart this year 2023.
479  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Bear Market over? on: December 22, 2023, 02:45:01 PM
Broke 45K level and sideaway in that level and I would consider the bear market is over and the bull market is coming. but if we look at the chart we can still pretty much down to 40-35K level again or even worse like 30K level.

The Fear and greed index is at level 75 which mean people also greed right now. for now lets wait and see or take profit some if you have profit position right now
At the time that the price of Bitcoin reaches $40k, I'd say the bear season is over. And eve there is price correction may happen in the coming days, yet still not enough ground to say that we're turning back to a bearish market again but that is absolutely a normal scenario in a volatile market.

The entire year of 2023 isn't really looking good as we have a lot of market struggles but fortunately, the price of Bitcoin is still able to break $40k. It was an indication that we are moving high and going to its peak soon. I keep holding and wait for the perfect time to sell.
480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When do you take out your investment when in profit? on: December 21, 2023, 09:39:49 PM
Well, we all have been too optimistic about the upcoming years because we believe that bull season happen again after halving.
If you have the guts and have a strong belief that your altcoins will pump more, then make a decision to hold and wait for its peak but if you feel some doubts, you'd rather sell and take the profit. If you ask me, yeah, I did this multiple times and reinvest my money in known coins as this will give me some assurance that it will pump when the bull season comes unlike some altcoins we were expected to rise but it dumps.

We should be smart when choosing the coins to hold long-term otherwise, we are just wasting our time waiting for nothing.
