481  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market needs time on: March 18, 2018, 04:01:43 AM
This site shows a curve going to 1 million by the end of 2020:

https://fnordprefekt.de/

It shows the price around $29k for the end of 2018.

I guess it's pretty much dependent on how the market would react to the next halving. I hope that site is still up by 2020. But yeah, the next bull market run would be pretty interesting, because it's gonna reach new all time highs.

482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptomarket all in red! on: March 17, 2018, 04:24:08 PM
from the time i begun writing, and finished this, more than 1 billion € have left the cryptocurrency market.

This is gonna crash to hell this shit. OMG.

Those 1 billion € is waiting for you to FUD sell your coins/tokens so that they can buy back cheaper. Traders win by reading charts and doing TA. We, amateur investors, win by HODL.

It kinda looks like new 6-month lows would be established and that it's gonna be a tough bear ride for the next few months. Time to switch prospects towards the long term IMO. Don't give in to the sell pressure.
483  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why almost everybody suggest to hold? on: March 17, 2018, 02:04:47 PM

I really do not understand why almost everybody suggest to hold when there is a dip or correction.

With my simple noob logic i think that when there is a dip someone could sell at the start of the dip or do something else (e.g. buy tether y i know the rumors or something similar anyway) and then buy again later when the correction has stop or decrease.

I really must be missing something since i am crypto noob orelse i cannot explain why everyone suggest hold while i fear that real pros are doing the oppossite.

I would like to ask only experienced people who know what they are talking about to give their opinions cause i am fed up reading pseudo crypto pros everywhere around. I bet many of you understand what i mean. Everybody has become a crypto pro . Well i am a crypto noob and i need your heads up.

What you are trying to say is true, and as a matter of fact if you can do what you are saying, you should push for it. Trade as you will.

Everyone of us has different risk appetites, and you see most people here are satisfied with plain holding. It takes a lot of guts and resources to maintain a track record of profitable trades. It's nerve-wrecking, that's why not everyone is into it.
484  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Mt. Gox dude won't let Bitcoin prices rise on: March 17, 2018, 12:18:25 PM
Where's Tim Draper or the Winklevoss twins?  They could make a deal with the Japanese court to buy or request to auction some of those BTC instead of dumping them in the open market, which is so retarded btw...

You know that's a bit hopeless don't you?

I pity the guy though, he's just doing his job.

We are probably looking at additional sell pressure from these coins in late 2019, early
2020, but definitely not this year.

I hope it does not go all the way till halving season, I'd like to see even better all time highs.
485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A bad timing to invest in an ICO? What are your insights? on: March 17, 2018, 10:45:24 AM
I noticed that most of the coins/tokens that was launch now are almost behind their ICO value by almost 25-50%, Basically if you purchased in the ICO someone could even double their holdings with the same amount that you used during your ICO purchased. So for me it will be wise to purchase in the exchanger but the risk is few of them wants to delayed their market launch due to market situation.
I also noticed that if the bounties are released in the same date with the investors the possible scenario is the coin/token will going to dump once it hits the exchanger, so better sell and rebuy once it dips because no matter what they say the bounties are free money and someone which is not a hodler will going to sell her/his holding once the coin/token hits the market ( always check the realease date of the bounties). I'm not an expert but tried to share my insights according to my experience, I'm an small ICO investors and the same time bounty hunter. Thanks and Godbless!!!

Well if you'll think about it, now's actually a good time for fiat investors because the BTC and ETH are almost on few months-low level.

On the other hand, it's all about thinking forward I guess. Successful ICOs have their tokens increase in value after some time. Just take a look at ETH.
486  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC slumps again, is it heading for 6K or lower prices? on: March 16, 2018, 10:21:49 AM
I've read from an analysis that the next big resistance to the bear market is already on the $7000s, this means we could expect new baseline lows again in the few coming weeks. Maybe 6k is next.

During these times, it's always much better to focus on the long term.
487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Markets take a slump after stable week. on: March 14, 2018, 02:00:52 PM
frankly people who panic and dumped his assets are new people in crypto. if everyone is smart to understand this issue, then certainly the market remains normal.

They're probably mostly people who were lured by MLMs and get-rich-quick schemers who promote crypto as a way to get rich overnight.

Too bad we can't do anything about them.
488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum TO $400 AGAIN on: March 14, 2018, 01:00:34 PM
Well, bitcoin had that moment a few years back, it even went as low as sub-$300.

In any case, if it were to happen with ETH, then that would be the perfect buying opportunity. IMO ETH is set to boom in the coming years.
489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people think that ETH can Overcome Bitcoin? on: March 14, 2018, 07:07:51 AM
Recently I am hearing some rumors or words that, Eth will beat bitcoin sooner or later. But I don't think so and I totally disagree with it. Bitcoin is Bitcoin, And Eth is like after Bitcoin, If bitcoin fall then eth will fall too. Then how can people think that ETH can Overcome Bitcoin? What do you think About this? Share your thoughts.

I was thinking Eth can overcome BTC too.
But lately I have doubts about that due to Casper centralized features.

You're like comparing apples and oranges with this one. Although yes there is a correlation between the price of each, and one affects the other, BTC and ETH covers different niches - BTCBTCBTC for now is more of a tool to transfer value (remittances etc) and more of a speculatory medium whilst ETH is more for dapps and smart contract applications. ETH is more of an infrastructure rather than a medium.
490  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will crypto exchanges be banned/taxed ? on: March 14, 2018, 06:52:42 AM
This is why a decentralized exchange with 0% transaction fee is a good alternative. A decentralized one ideally does not have a central governing taxable body with no taxable income (0% transaction fee) so yeah, it's kinda a loophole for current regulations.
491  Economy / Speculation / Re: Copper - the forgotten hedge against inflation on: March 14, 2018, 06:48:53 AM
Copper only costs about $6800 a tonne, good luck stacking a significant amount.

Silver is bad enough which is why I mainly hold gold.

I've read an article a few days ago that argue investing in small market metals is better as hedge versus large market metals like copper. One particular metal stated there was Cobalt, a metal needed in the production of Lithium ion batteries. They've said that over the past few years, the value of small market metals has risen much better compared to large market metals even gold.
492  Economy / Speculation / Re: When You Think Market Boom Again? on: March 14, 2018, 06:42:29 AM
Frankly, no one can predict accurate enough when the next bull market would be. But we're pretty sure that 2020 would be one, at least due to the bitcoin halving event.

You should focus on that.
493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OMG The sky Is falling!!! on: March 14, 2018, 06:37:47 AM
If you need some reassurance, the next bitcoin halving event is due in 2020, so your goal for now is to make sure you've got lots of reserve BTCBTCBTCs or even alts before that happens. Focus on the long term.
494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How interested are people in cryptocurrency in your country? on: March 13, 2018, 02:22:40 PM
Mostly of our people here in my country doesn't like to engage in crypto currency because they think that btc is only a scam and they are not interested to learn because they said it complicated. So we are few only here doing btc.

Somewhat quite the same where I come from. They see crypto as some kind of an MLM type investment which is frankly annoying.
495  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IRS 501(c)(3) Public Charities That Accept Bitcoin on: March 13, 2018, 08:42:20 AM
It's probably a good idea to send a link of this thread to The Pineapple Fund (https://pineapplefund.org/), since they're constantly in search of charitable organizations to donate to they might be interested.
496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did ETH changed crypto world? on: March 13, 2018, 08:02:43 AM
For what its worth, it was ETH that popularized to us the use of smart contracts. It gave us a very significant real-world application of the blockchain tech, and it's truly revolutionary.
497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Russia prepares to legalize cryptocurrency market by July 2018 on: March 11, 2018, 03:00:07 PM
I would not be so sure about the positive aspects of this news. When the government begins to intervene — wait for trouble.
A recent example — Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro, who uses cryptocurrency in his corrupt schemes.

Although this, if true, would be some good news that we desperately need to boost BTCBTCBTC. BTCBTCBTC's been slumping for quite a while already, we need to inject some positivity to bring it up again.
498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am so stressful with trading coins, I lost 13000$ on: March 11, 2018, 12:16:00 PM
I always advice people that ask me that you only go for projects that already has a working prototype or at least a minimum viable product before investing. Most of the time, these are the companies that are worthy of investments or atleast won't scam.
499  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Hitbtc fraud on: March 11, 2018, 03:29:10 AM
Used them a while back for converting some of my tokens for BTC. All went well on my end, no complaints here.

Maybe they're dealing with huge volumes of support request that's why they can't reply to your queries. This happened with a lot of other exchanges previously too.
500  Economy / Speculation / Re: Experts: Investing in Bitcoin now? on: March 11, 2018, 03:16:22 AM
It would be the best if you had invested a few weeks ago. A few weeks ago, the price was around $ 7,000. I think that will also be the historic low for this year. Nevertheless, I would advise you to invest now, because I believe that btc is stabilizing and no crashes are to be expected. By the end of the year, the price could rise to as much as $ 30,000. That's just my modest forecast.

It's the lowest so far, but it's just the first quarter of the year so expect a lot more market turbulence ahead. 2018's gonna be the year where crypto has to adapt to regulations and markets.
