1461  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PayPal Pending 30 days on: August 25, 2016, 04:29:04 PM
Hi there,

While buying bitcoins, I used to have 21 days pending when someone sends me the funds to my PayPal account, and now they got increased to 30 pending days.

Those funds stay in my pending balance (I won't be able to withdraw them or send them to someone else) unless the 30 days time pass which makes it very insecure for me since I'm trading Bitcoin (irreversible).

Till now, no one chargebacked, and I didn't get any issues but having the funds in pending makes me worried for a whole month...

I want to know your experiences with this Pending crap (that I never had before) and how I can remove it? I searched little bit and found that I should sell in eBay or shit ?? which doesn't make much sense since AFAIK ... PayPal and eBay are not related anymore.

What's your account status on PP? In my years of selling and buying online I haven't had this pending status ever. Account age and transaction history may be factors, I'd suggest you upgrade your account to Premier and see if you still get the pendings.
1462  Economy / Speculation / Re: What did I tell you? BTC will stay down under $600 on: August 25, 2016, 01:54:20 PM
Every TA article I've read over the last couple of days is bearish. Let's see if we hold $500 and ultimately CNY3000.

In the long run fundamentals always win. So get in if you believe in the fundas, or get out (of the way) if don't

A lot of these articles state that we haven't even felt the main wave of the coming bear market. While I believe their reasons are pretty much justified, I still think we'd hold at least over $500 till next month.
1463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Off-Season on: August 25, 2016, 10:51:21 AM
It is kind of unusual that there are still a lot of unsigned point guards in the NBA right now. Steve Blake, Mario Chalmers, Norris Cole, Bryce Cotton, Jordan Farmar, Kirk Hinrich, Ty Lawson, Andre Miller, Xavier Munford, and Phil Pressey round out most of the ‘bigger’ names available. Among that group, the two former Miami Heat are on top of the list. While the teams are signing big men left and right, these guys are certainly still serviceable and can still contribute to any team that would sign them.

Probably because the evolving paradigm today is for big men to shoot and make plays. We ain't gonna see another Stockton-Malone duo sometime in the future because the borderline between player roles within the court are becoming more and more blurred.
1464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Megaupload + Bitcoins on: August 25, 2016, 10:46:52 AM
Yes, but remember the main reason that Megaupload got shut down was because they were paying users.
Investigators were able to prove that the company was giving payouts to accounts brining in large amounts of traffic.
If they have any sort of payment system, they will have to be VERY careful about what they are taking payments for, or the government will argue that people are paying to download files that are known to be illegal.

Has Kim said anything about re-implementing this system? I think he's big announcement is that somehow he's gonna develop a similar system like this in the past but with BTCBTCBTC payouts for uploaders.
1465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitch Re-adds Bitcoin Payments on: August 24, 2016, 10:10:10 AM
So, they're not really dealing with bitcoin directly but indirectly thru coinbase?  I can't fund a twitch account directly  thru my bitcoin wallet but have to setup a coinbase account instead?

As far as I know , no you shouldn't.
They are using Coinbase , just like Steam use Bitpay , they are basically using their API and letting them manage the transactions etc ... Coinbase probably allow them to transfer the received bitcoins into cash directly into their bank accounts. (I'm not sure though)

I know you can fund it directly, converted to USD at the time of deposit. I'll have a look at it this weekend.

Well it's not so much of a big news, but we need every help we can for adoption so it's good.

1466  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: How do Online Wallets Survive ?? on: August 21, 2016, 02:49:47 PM
blockchain.info is an online wallet and doesn't charge fee to pay hosting or what ever, all of the fee is fully given for the miners and blockchain.info don't took the bitcoin even a little bit, maybe you're talking about wallet which has provided by an exhanger, they'll charge fee about few cents or even less but it's for the service they offered,so no problem at all

blockchain.info is filled with advertisement but since they are not intrusive people don't feel when they are shown to them.
on the pages when you search for a transaction id there is one big ass ad on the bottom right corner.

and they don't even stop there, in the old version of the wallet (have not tried the new one) there were multiple small ads on the top right corner of the first page after login.

Plus they've got links to several bitcoin related services, so we can assume those were sponsored links. I don't mind those, they're pretty convenient as I see it.
1467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Off-Season on: August 20, 2016, 05:40:45 PM
On the other hand, do you guys have news with JR Smith? Last time I heard he still doesn't have a contract. At this point I'm not sure if the Cavs would go for him again.
1468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Companies Who Reimburse Losses Stay Alive on: August 20, 2016, 05:35:12 PM
On a different note, this is probably why some people wants to push for tighter regulations of exchanges.

1470  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if POKEMON GO let people earn Bitcoin? on: August 20, 2016, 10:48:31 AM
It would be great news for the Bitcoin's community if this famous application (Pokemon Go) let people to earn Bitcoin, and it will advertise more the Bitcoin as well
there will be more people in this world who will recognize and know bitcoin. This could be a great destination to advertise. bitcoin users and also users of Pokemon games is very large.

I don't think Niantic would ever consider this. If Pokemen Go accounts can be used as wallets then they'd be a real target for thieves. There are already cases here in our place of bad guys using lures to lure in people and snatch their phones.  Cry
1471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: actual number of people using Bitcoin? on: August 16, 2016, 07:07:48 AM
At my opinion we can't calculate a number of people using bitcoin without pol or something like that, cause very often people trying to hide a fact of using bitcoins.
Correct all of us know that it would never easy to calculate how many are the actual users of the bitcoin, there are no basis to be use for determining the actual users. but we only sure that every day the users of bitcoin is continuous rising.

Well BlockChain just reached 100M transactions just recently, so from there you can probably have an idea.
1472  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about the idea of a bitcoin shop in big cities? on: August 16, 2016, 02:11:23 AM
Better to host such a thing in an already existing tech environment. You could have a counter somewhere with a little man handling it. That's how most foreign currency operations work. They're rarely standalone places.

This needs a spot where people will gather. If you put a place in the mall it will be expensive. Your own backyard could help but you might need to create ads that you are accepting bitcoin for people to come.

I thought bitcoin ATMs and LocalBTC sellers already cover for that?

It may be applicable in other countries, but here in my country it'll be of no use as you can literally buy btc from any 7-11, of course you'd have to order it first through Coins.ph.
1473  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin down to $570 on: August 15, 2016, 07:26:44 AM
looks like Okcoin news hit the market but i thought the effect would be a little bit more than just $10 but anyways i think these days if you can find the bottom and buy in a dip, that would be a good choice for entering and making a profit in a short time.

If you pick bottoms, you get shit.  Tongue
Timing the market is very difficult, better to buy and hold bitcoins.

It's not always shit, it's all risk, and while it really is difficult it's worth it if you have lots of fiat to buy and play with. However, if you're like me that buys only 0.1BTC at a time, then it's better to buy and hold.
1474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your reason to gamble? Fun or profit? on: August 14, 2016, 10:59:09 AM
the reason to gambling is for both fun amd profits
fun without profits is so suck
but profits without fun its meaningless, right?

I don't know man. With gambling there is always a lot of luck involved. You won't manage to win everyday when gambling. You should not link gambling and fun, better to control your emotions so a loss does not kill your mood.

But I think gambling is fun. I gamble because I needed entertainment and playing in gambling. I think if I play I enjoy the game so I feel pleasant. I know because it could lead to gambling profits. I just leave some bitcoin for gambling.

I sometimes go with my friends in real life to casinos to have fun, and yeah, win-or-lose we do have fun. In online bitcoin casinos it's the other way around, there's no fun if you lose.
1475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin WiFi T-shirt on: August 14, 2016, 10:52:11 AM
A wifi in a T-shirt? That's pretty cool. You should make a video about how it works or how is it made to gain more backer.

If you can find a way to also have us print our wallet addresses as QR on the back side of the shirt, I'll be one of your backers.
1476  Economy / Services / Re: Yahoo Answer Level 2 For SELL! Boost Alexa PR & Organic Traffic To Yr Site on: August 11, 2016, 03:54:42 PM
Just to clear it out this is for 1 account only is it?

I've used YA in the past and it's really, really strict. What country is this account from?
1477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: August 11, 2016, 03:47:45 PM
First i think you should hold it a bit get to know things more and then you can deside. Buying and spending at once isn't wise for me.
what do you say? we're talking about investments and gambling. if you think that trading is the right choice, then it is true.

Trading for me is the right choice too, but we can't force people who are addicted with gambling to do it. It is their choice on where they are going to be happy then it is going to be a pleasure to them and it is the one that can relieve their stress. But there are people who are really after profit they trade and gamble for profit.

Trading is pretty hard though, buy-low-sell-high seems easy as it is but it's really hard to do it consistently in practice. Betting on dice and hoping for good luck is sometimes better.
1478  Other / Off-topic / Re: What % of your Assets is Bitcoin? on: August 11, 2016, 03:44:42 PM
Have 50% in my assets assigned to bitcoin.
That is how much I have invested and believing in it.
I hope more people will do the same in the future so to keep bitcoin striving to be the global currency that it deserves to be. Grin

That's too much IMO. If we're talking investment profiles ideally there shouldn't be a majority unless you're in direct control of that investment, and considering this space is a high-risk-high-reward market, that's a real bold move.

1479  Other / Archival / Re: Do you have paypal account even though you have bitcoin? on: August 11, 2016, 03:08:06 PM
Other says that Paypal freezes an account with out any reason, I really don't know. I haven't try yet to make a transaction there. I think other bitcoiners don't want to use Paypal account anymore because they are already contented in using BTC and maybe they are not involve to those services in related to Paypal.

I've been using Paypal for almost 6 years now, both as a consumer and a merchant. Honestly, I think they'd never do that. Not unless you're suspected of money laundering or other illegal activities, or you faked your personal information and IDs.

@ontopic, I'd say use the best of both worlds, you don't have to limit yourself to one.

Cavs should have NEVER traded Anderson Varejão
Cavs' fans said it wouldn't come back and bite them, but it did late in the 3rd quarter, you saw him enter the game and grab 3 huge offensive rebounds in a pivotal point in the game. Meanwhile, Frye hasn't made a single field-goal in this series.

Varejão is a bad luck if you know what I mean. Cool

2015 Finals and 2016 Finals are really a good memories for the great Anderson Varejão lol.
Lady luck might finally smile at Andy Varejao this season. Even if he plays limited minutes with the Golden State Warriors, he can still contribute in his own little ways. If he doesn't get traded or waived, he could be among those hoisting the Larry O'Brien trophy by the end of the 2016-17 season.

But i thinl if varejao is inside their plays became slow as i'v notice really, varejao cannot take the fast phase game thats why mostly he got only limited time on his career on gsw and maybe he is just a filler on the defensive structure since they dont have main man who can support in inside pressence but mext season would be very different because they've got defensive people what they want aswell as the offensive man.
It was only bogut who made a good presence inside because he is a good defender  and that is the most important for the the warriors as they are good already in shooting, unfortunately this guy cannot play more games in a season because he is prone to injury.

Well technically he isn't that prone to injuries. Look at D. Rose, that guy IS prone to injury. It just happened that Bogut got whacked at the wrong place and the wrong time.
