There's a few open source tools out there available via Github, that automatically reads an address, and generates a report based on the date of receiving the Bitcoin, and extracts the price at the time of transaction from various exchanges. This can be used in conjunction to an accountant, so you can generate the initial report, and then send that over to them for checking. They'll likely ask a few questions, especially if you've bought Bitcoin during this time, since they'll need to determine your intentions i.e long term holding or short term.

That's interesting, what kind of tools you are referring to? Would love to save my shitty work on that.
Thanks for the info btw.
In Norway everything is clearly defined, they have covered the DeFi as well. Here's a link in case someone is interested. Basically its in English but not everything.

If you are talking about cryptocurrency then you can definitely go with the p2p or PayPal... This would be the safest way to buy or sell your currencies

No, you need reputable escrow to be on the safest side. With PayPal you can always try to reverse payments or refund and most likely you'll get scammed.

Hey guys,

There's a shady exchange stating that it's partnering with Kraken among the other T1 exchanges. Can you guys please provide info if you have any relations with www. boterco. com (Warning This could be a scam exchange) so we can make a conclusion.

Здравейте колеги,
Надявам се всички сте добре.
Имам едно въпросче, защо не може да се прави регистрация в Kucoin от България? Няма как да се вкара български телефонен номер там.. странна работа.

Don't accept help from newbie accounts, you can get scammed.
Try to have a conversation only in the thread so if someone spot something suspicious can warn you.
Do not send any files or keys. TeamViewer or similar requests will most likely steal your coins.
be very careful.

or from you, i am waiting for all the newbies that have a view point on this to write to me

It's up to you to decided what to do, I just felt I should warn you because many newbies already got scammed with the same scheme. I won't risk my account reputation for any sort of illegal or unmoral actions against other users. I've been here more than 4 years and build my reputation, which has more value that someone's coins.

As i said before, I post my guidance on the forum so anyone who thinks I have bad intentions can review my post for fraud. This is what it think is the safest way of communication.

Hey OP, I'll try to look at it, when I get some free time. If you manage to extract the hash of the password then I can help you install hashcat and bruteforce the password. I did experimented with mobile wallets before, never tried Metamask.
It's not a big deal if you know the structure of the password, and of course it depends on the hardware you have.

And how come you don't have a backup of the password manager and even worse, the seed?

ProTip. Never store important data on SSDs.

512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Debunking the "Bitcoin is an environmental disaster" argument. on: November 10, 2021, 11:59:49 AM

I've been waiting for that toaster mining for 6 years already... Grin
Stove, oven, no, heating your house or maybe a water heater that can be done, the problem is the chip costs when a water heater cost 200 euros and the miner 10 000  and the other is that you don't need constant heat. Buying a 15k mining oven that will run only 30 minutes a day and make you 100$ a month is .....childish let's say.

Lovely, a mining toaster! Jokes aside, no need to have $10K mining hardware, I bought my Cyrix@233 MHz with 32M RAM and 3.2GB HDD back in the day for a big bag of money and it was a low end PC, now you can get a cheap PC for 50$.  Prices of the electronics are going down (except now with this shortage of chips) so sooner or later there will be cheap mining devices on a single chip, included those in our day life devices, imagine higher hash power will less electricity consumption, that will be highly efficient devices.. making the bitcoin network highly decentralized and still making you some satoshi (better than nothing). Future is bright Smiley I might be a shitty visionary but I have the feeling I'm right on this one Smiley
513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Debunking the "Bitcoin is an environmental disaster" argument. on: November 10, 2021, 10:04:08 AM
All the el. radiators and water heaters are producing only heat and wasting electricity and are way more polluting than bitcoin...

Every water heater, radiator, and equipment which have capacity to use the heat for household and industrial needs, could actually mine crypto. We have not IoT and smart houses.. electronic components are keep getting smaller.. c'mon, that's the future and you all know it!

In a few years your stove will mine crypto while you are cooking your meal. ... wait wut...

Screenshot this $hit and you'll see I'm right Smiley

Have you tried reporting the post to the mods with a link to your post? This will draw attention and actually take some actions. This is how I did it back in the day when I had more time to report.
516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lightning Network Observer on: November 03, 2021, 01:31:43 PM
The centralization of Internet is just a phase, we are already moving forward. We are on the Web3 move and soon things will be different.
It's amazing how everything started with an idea of an anonymous guy and a white paper of that idea and it went so global that is changing the world as we know it right in this very moment.

And the LN plays a big role too, not only after the Twitter integration just off-chain transactions is the future, ~0 fees, fast transactions and fast growing network, what would you want more.

I don't get it how people still buy ETH, just moving some dust cost hundreds.. insanity.

The future is exciting Smiley

I think that's the saddest statistics in the forum

I think he's just taking a break... but yes i loved to read this guys posts.

He was a legend, I hope all those enjoying their retired Bitcoin life on some island Smiley

nullius was really close to Lauda. After lauda left I guess he took a pause.

Regarding TMAN, I have a bad feeling about this one. We were talking about meeting in person one day as he's been living close to where I used to live but that's life.
518  Other / Meta / Re: Cheaters Hunters vs Spam Busters on: November 02, 2021, 01:17:06 PM
Lol, here's one Spam Buster's personal story.

Every morning while drinking my coffee instead of reading the news I was hunting for spammers, just because it makes me feel better when I report shitposters. It's a weird addiction and makes your start of the day way more pleasant. With the time it tensions more and more, because you start finding connected accounts, farms and even whole "villages" of "farmers" with bots and man, this is even more addictive.. at the end I end up as a "report junky" lol. It wasn't because I was aiming for merit nor trust (you don't earn that this way), this was even before Theymos announced the report badges, I just love the forum seeing still posts from satoshi himself and damn, see it that polluted with all that shit just made me angry. So combining the anger with the addiction it's like a whole new purpose of life, amazing feeling...
Bots and cheaters became more sophisticated after the merit was introduced so you get even bigger challenge to find those new strategies and expose them ... oh I love the time with the homograph plagiarism attacks, that was the best time for me to satisfy my crave for reporting "smart" spammers. Everyone can report "good project" but a totally messed up characters copied from a few pages back and scrambled with synonyms, that's what I call challenge and there were 3-4 years old accounts.. insane.

Now the spammers are the old school "good post", "when moon" type and the excitement is gone but I still report form time to time, when I'm here Wink

If you do all because of the Trust or Merit, you doing it wrong. If you do it from the heart, one day you'll be rewarded for your work one way or another.
Don't push it, just find your passion.

P.S. Lol, someone (tranthidung) is wearing an avatar with me on, lol Smiley

I start missing those "stories" that 99.99% end the same way.. just being fairy tales, but I'm here for that 0.001%.

Let's see. Don't respond to any PMs for help you gonna get hacked even if you have 0.005btc they will be gone in seconds.

520  Economy / Reputation / Re: Top 1000 merit receivers who were not active the past 30 days. on: October 29, 2021, 12:56:01 PM
What I see in April, the last time I updated the list, were 239 not active users from the top 1000 merit earners, today they are 270, that's a lot.
If I have time I'll make a graph on how those numbers were changed the past year.

I miss so many great ppl here, at least I hope they are fine and well.

xtraelv is active on Twitter, so he is fine, no worried, i miss his great work here too.
