501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why green bitcoin mining has become a trend? on: July 24, 2021, 04:58:22 PM
Exactly, the presence of green energy is a solution to make the environment healthy, now more and more people are aware of the importance of protecting nature and the simple thing that can be done is to reduce electricity consumption and then replace it with green energy.
As previously mentioned when we hear about green energy and the consumption of energy of Bitcoin as a huge debate, i cannot understand why they are not worried when other industries are consuming much and trashing the nature in public view. I do accept that we can convert all the mining farms to renewable energy and majority of the farms are running using them and still the bad reputation of using huge energy is upon Bitcoin which is strange.
502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: July 24, 2021, 08:44:26 AM
Its a first win for Zimbabwe  after the loss in the ODI's and first T20 match. This should be refreshing for the Zimbabwe team. They should now try to win the final T20 and win the series, although it will be a difficult task. Bangladesh are favorites and more stronger in the series.
Madhevere played a very good innings of 73 which helped Zimbabwe achieve the fighting score.
Wessley Madhevere played well for Zimbabwe and you cannot expect consistent performance by them, Bangladesh had an off day and they lost the match and if Zimbabwe can play the same level of cricket they can compete with Bangladesh in the shorter format but it all depends upon how they counter their spinners.

Pakistan to visit West Indies and play 5 T20 matches. Although they have lost the series badly in England, i think they may perform a little better as conditions will be different from England.
West Indies is a strong team in T20 and hopefully it will be a competitive one because Pakistan can deliver once in a while  Grin.
503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much of your total capital is in crypto? on: July 23, 2021, 06:44:26 PM
Percentage wise I'm not entirely sure as I don't go checking any savings / superannuation accounts more than once or twice per year, but just to give you an idea of the crypto, I've been stockpiling the payments from the Signature Campaigns that I've participated in over the last 18 - 24 months.
So you are saying that you started accumulating after you joined the signature campaigns and that too recently which means you missed out the entire ICO hype, yes i am not that involved in the altcoin scene now because the N number of scams and i did not jump into the recent hypes but for a certain period of time i was happily investing in some of the hyped up projects and some gave good profits while other burned my account.

Overall i am not investing anything new for a while and the pandemic was a bummer as i could not plan accordingly but it is fine as i do have a decent amount of coins which i was mining and investing for years.
504  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin go down below $20,000. on: July 21, 2021, 07:37:14 PM
Bitcoin is about to go back up to around 35k maybe a little more from the discussions that elon musk has been having and his refreshing turn around on the importance of Bitcoin.
It is time everyone should ignore Elon Fucking Musk as he might have planned everything through before making these decisions, he pumped the market invested billions booked the profit and started trolling the market and dumped the market and now he is sugar coating about the market and i bet he might have invested multiple billions this time knowing he could book another huge profit in no time, sadly the market is following his trail.
505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: July 20, 2021, 10:08:15 AM
Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat and like the first game they started carefully without loosing a wicket and they hopefully they will try to put a good total on the board if not this Indian team will chase them easily even without their main players and for that the middle order has to perform well not just the opening partnership, the odds are not that great but hopefully will get as the match progress.
506  Economy / Speculation / Re: David Gokhshtein: Bitcoin Price Will Reach $80K on: July 20, 2021, 01:34:59 AM
Full of positive thoughts I've read lately, though it makes me feel great but that's in reverse to the real situation of market price right now. As of the moment, btc goes down at $31k yet the signal on blockfolio is red now and I don't know how to figure this out how that $80k speculation came to that certain point. Let's see what will exist soon, honestly stating a specific figures of value was really the hardest thing right now.
If he or anyone else predicted that the price would reach $80k it will reach in due time, even i can predict any valuation which is hundred thousand and we will reach those valuation irrespective of the current market situation because every four year Bitcoin controls its inflation rate in the form of halving and that reduces the number of coins mined on a daily basis and these factors alone will push the market higher in the long run but to predict exactly when these valuations would reach is another mystery but we will reach them eventually and we do not need any mystic predictors for that  Wink.
507  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Swedish man sentenced for 15 years for gold-backed cryptocurrency scam on: July 19, 2021, 10:00:11 PM
Good riddance he pleaded guilty and then sentence for 15 years.
What should he expect, to run away for a long time and enjoy life with the money he made through scam, i wish to hear more news like these popping up every week.

A promise of big returns so investors fall for it. The court order all his properties including a resort in Thailand so that he can pay back those investors that he had scam.

I do hope that this will be another expensive lessons specially for newbie investors not to fall for this kind of too good to be true schemes.
The newbie lesson will keep on continuing and there will be no shortage about that even though we hear and see about these scams they tend to fall for these, the problem is that they do not spend time learning about the market and all they hear is the amount of profits someone made in the past and they also wanted to make money quickly and that is when they feel in to the trap of the scammer.
508  Economy / Economics / Re: Which cryptocurrency do you decide to invest in for the long-term? on: July 19, 2021, 09:29:16 PM
This is good advice, unless a newbie took the time to learn a lot before coming to this market then most likely they are going to make all kind of mistakes that will cost them a lot of money and if they invested all their capital from the beginning then their losses are going to be massive, so it is important that at the beginning they only use a small amount of money so when those mistakes come then they do not lose as much of it and they can still trade and invest once they learn from those mistakes.
Most of the new users that are in the market during this rally came to the market because of the hype it created like every time and then there were many influential tweets from a few people that have millions of followers made an impact in the market and i certain that fifty percentage would not study about the market before investing and they are here to make quick buck because someone influential they follow made a remark and if they are not careful they would loose their money.

The only coin i invest in the long term is Bitcoin and its forks which i am holding for a long time and i do invest in the hype market but i do have a short term target rather than holding for the long term.

Boult's overall record is good. But I remember a couple of occasions, when he conceded a lot of runs in the depth overs, resulting in Mumbai Indians losing the match. I agree that New Zealand is a dark horse, with star performers such as Boult, Jamieson and Ferguson. My main concern is that they may find the UAE conditions challenging. Also, one thing we need to remember is that the world cup will immediately start after the IPL. So those playing in the IPL may benefit from getting accustomed to the conditions. But then, most of the main players from New Zealand, Australia, West Indies and England will be taking part in the IPL.
Trent Boult might have given away runs once in a while but overall he is a much better bowler and he proved that multiple times playing for Mumbai Indians and if he could perform the same then he could trouble any batsman in any conditions, there are some outstanding players for New Zealand and when they are in form they can be unstoppable irrespective of the condition and England has players who have a strike rate above 100 in ODI and they can change the game as well, so you cannot underestimate these two teams because they are playing in spin wickets.

If you say these about Australia then i would accept because i am not expecting much from them in the upcoming World Cup.
510  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC Go for Another All Time High This Year? on: July 19, 2021, 07:07:51 PM
That’s the thing.  Denial’s a bitch.  And it will prolly take a couple more months before every one of us starts accepting that it really is a bear market...  But then again it’s also prolly what the market is waiting for before trending back up again.  Cheesy

Anyway, the weekly close was weak.  Prepare for some chop.
If you look through that lens then we could say that the market was not performing well for the past few weeks but there is nothing much to worry as anyone invested well before the rally started does not need to worry about his investment as you could book your profits even if they sell now, the market did not went down like everyone is projecting and i am not predicting that we are not going to rally in the next two months but i expect we will have a major market movement by the end of this year.
511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can BTC exist without Fiat? on: July 19, 2021, 06:54:26 PM
~
Bitcoin is definitely a stand alone type of cryptocurrency which it will exists without the presence of Fiat but as of now the investors and traders couldn't transact directly a point to point transaction using bitcoin and the existence of fiat is still in need. As bitcoin could stand alone without fiat and even fiat could also stand alone without bitcoin which it only shows that the type of currency don't have a direct relationship with each other. So far today even if we really wanted to use crypto transaction directly it is still not yet fully implemented or practiced.
Suppose i am entering into the Bitcoin market and i wanted to purchase the coin and how do you think i will trade them or purchase them without fiat currency, the only possible solution is for me is to convert my fiat currency and purchase them and there is no other option. So you need to both to coexist for the market to be fair. I am not counting on any of the stable currencies we have in the market as majority will fail in the long run due to their lack of transparency.
512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: July 19, 2021, 06:08:34 PM
The reason why I don't want to give too much chance to England and New Zealand is due to the fact that the ground conditions don't suit them. They don't have any world class spinner in their squad and are too much dependent on pace attack. And even their pacers are not exactly T20 material. Jamieson and Boult are bowlers who are more suitable for the longer version of cricket. IMO, I would give India and West Indies almost equal chances, followed by New Zealand and England. Under current circumstances, none of the remaining 12 teams have any real chance of lifting the trophy.
Trent Boult is a stand up bowler in the IPL and you think he is only good in the ODI format, T20 is basically a batsman's game and if anyone can perform which England has a lot of batsman in their ranks and they can win matches easily. New Zealand is always a dark horse in any major tournament but you cannot count out England.
513  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Follows Ethereum? on: July 19, 2021, 05:34:22 PM
It is always that way. Bitcoin rise then the other follows. Sometimes a coin or two move the opposite way or stay stable but it will follow them at the end.
POS effect on ETH will not be see now in my opinion but after few years.
So you really think that POS is the future, in my opinion the hype behind POS will only last for a few years and then people will understand how centralized the entire market would be in a few years and i not keen on having our entire ecosystem on a centralized solution where only a few decide the fate of the token, coin or project. POW is the solution if you are looking for decentralization but we need some major improvements in that and hopefully we will have that in the coming years.
514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons to use ETH on: July 19, 2021, 03:36:47 PM
Eth when viewed from the number of tokens that adopt it is very promising because it is still trusted and many still have it, unfortunately the high transaction fees are an obstacle for ETH, the large queues in the transaction make the fees more expensive, besides that there is no significant problem for ETH.
The adaption was in full swing until the transaction fees started to spike and seeing the opportunity there are other projects trying to take advantage especially Binance who took the opportunity and ran with the situation and now all the new projects are using BSC rather than using ETH and in the future we might see all the projects using multiple chains in the project as some are using multiple chains .
515  Other / Meta / Re: NFT Board Soon? on: July 19, 2021, 02:49:29 PM
~
I still do not know why people are attracted to NFTs, the tokens are used to provide private to the digital art pieces (or anything digital), so there can be many of the digital arts, but only the one valuable is the one that someone has the private key to its token. I researched about it like some months ago and created a thread about it on this forum with only five replies aside mine. People on this forum do not reply much to NFT's topics.
The sole reason you might not get many response for NFT is because even i did not understand the hype for collecting these digital art and i joined some NFT group and there are many users that are attracted and waiting for every launch and they are usually sold off really fast but for me i still cannot understand the reason and majority does not even have a white paper and there is no need for a separate board.
516  Economy / Speculation / Re: 22 july, BTC 20k$ or 70k$? on: July 18, 2021, 09:02:27 PM
With only 5 days to go before this meeting, could be historical if they come out with news that can pump the market, they are two of the top influencers in the industry, and whatever they discuss and announce will have an impact on the market, it should be something positive because they are also going to benefit if the market shows improvement.
The so called influencers can manipulate the market for a period of time and not all the time, if we hear any investment by billions of dollars then we might see the market rallying but i highly doubt we are going to hear anything of that sort and despite saying that i am also not expecting the market to go down further and we will be in this range for a few months and then we can expect any movement .
517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: July 18, 2021, 04:34:25 PM
If England's bowlers can't pick up Pakistan's first two wickets quickly, England will lose today's match too.
You underestimated Pakistan and they are struggling for 127 for the lost of 6 wickets and they need a mammoth 70 runs in 25 balls and there is no way they are going to reach that total. Pakistan won a match last time but i do not trust them having the same performance again and that was true in this match as they are struggling today and if not for Babar Azam they will always struggle.
518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: July 18, 2021, 02:24:48 PM
Sri Lanka managed to score only 262 runs. We have to remember that Sri Lanka is playing against the second-tier team of India. India's top star players will not play in this series. Sri Lanka said it was an insult to them. But I think Sri Lanka will lose all the matches against this team of India. India scored 45 runs in 4 overs without losing a wicket. Prithivi Shaw scored 35 runs off 18 balls.
The comments of insult for India sending a team should put more pressure on Sri Lanka as they is no way they are going to defeat India even with some of their top players missing from the team because their bench strength is huge and even a third string team could defeat Sri Lanka having a team like this who is not competitive and India had a flying start chasing the score and Prithvi Shaw once again threw his wicket after a great start.
519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The point of Dogecoin. on: July 17, 2021, 06:46:57 PM
Yeah I’m thinking how meme coin pump so hard then people drive down the price with their panic selling just because of Elon tweets. I haven't looked at mine in weeks. I must say those Doge Holders are lucky who manage to sell at peak price. The truth about Doge there no point and utility but Doge has great community who still worship it and HODL for better days.
If you have some powerful influencers then meme coins and even shit coins can rally and that is what happened here, there was a big influencer who was willing to promote the coin and anyone who is not even involved in the cryptocurrency market jumped into his circle and started purchasing them expecting huge returns and if that happens any shit coin will rally and that is what happened with Dogecoin.
520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: July 16, 2021, 09:07:53 PM

Can anyone believe that a team who lost 3-0 in the ODI, is playing at 150-0 in T20. What a turn around is this or this Pakistan team best performs in T20 matches?
Both of the openers are willing to make a new opening wicket partnership record. England bowlers are looking helpless at the moment.
It is hard to believe that Pakistan is on a verge of victory as England lost 9 wickets and there is no way they are going to win the match but the only positive for England is Liam Livingstone and his wonderful century and if anyone could have accompanied him England could have a chance to win the match but sadly the rest of the England batting line up was a disappointment and a surprising win for Pakistan.
