1401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr. vs. Danny Garcia IBF & WBC Welterweight Title on: August 05, 2020, 10:55:24 PM
I can see that the odds is quite in favor to Danny Garcia especially that Errol Spence suffered an accident last October but in my opinion this bout is still very close as anything can happen in boxing and one lucky punch can end the game anytime.
It is very difficult to predict the fight game especially when Errol Spence is coming to this fight after a major car accident and we have no idea how his physical condition would be, if he was healthy then i will not think twice before placing a bet but with these tangibles i am not sure which one to pick as the body might not perform as Errol Spence wanted to when you are making a comeback to fight elite level competition.
1402  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin might never reach it's ATH anymore on: August 05, 2020, 10:20:40 PM
Speculating the prices has its pros and cons but I see it as good thing until the crypto market reaches some kind of adoption in the whole world economy because we are not yet up to the level to take into consideration.Currently the speculation is bringing the more people into the market if people don't really care about the prices we may not see such a huge bump in real short time.
The valuation of bitcoin and world wide adoption are two different things, it is a known fact that big financial houses are investing pretty heavily into bitcoin and it is more evident with the valuation, when ever there is a minor correction you see the price jumping up again which indicates that there are billion flowing into bitcoin knowing that we will see a rally and with the global financial system struggling to cope with the pandemic cryptocurrency market is gaining momentum.
1403  Economy / Economics / Re: Business / private sector is dead on: August 05, 2020, 09:50:08 PM
Online and offline the scenario is not good because of the pandemic, but this will not take long we only have to suffer for little more time, WHO is monitoring the vaccines and pharmaceutical industries are on the right track it's only a matter of time we will have a vaccine before the end of the year and everything will be ok again and we will be back to normal.
If you are trusting what the WHO is telling then you need to wait for a very long time to see everything going back to normal, i never took the virus seriously in the beginning because in my mind i was following WHO who was telling everyone that it is not a big deal and it will not spread and they usually changed their words every week. Online companies are making money during this pandemic while physical stores are suffering.
1404  Economy / Economics / Re: Government+cryptocurrencies on: August 05, 2020, 08:45:23 PM
So, if you think that cryptocurrency can save your country, imagine that the whole countries in the world and everyone is making use of cryptocurrency, do you think that it will make every single person in the world rich and also make the economy of every country to be stronger?
The fact is moving your asset to cryptocurrency will not save any country, it is the opposite of that if all the assets are stuck in a global platform it is not going to do any good for the country but it may help the individual investor if the market goes higher, so the idea of cryptocurrency saving a nation is just farce. A right investment can make some rich but you cannot expect everyone to be a billionaire.
1405  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will you do when Bitcoin reach$20k? on: August 05, 2020, 07:50:51 PM
I have no intention to sell according to price.
I plan to keep buying when I can and sell as little as possible when I must. The current price has nothing to do with it. In the long run, the price will keep rising despite short-term ups and downs.
Selling a significant amount at $20k would be as foolish as selling for $33 in 2013 or $1.2k in 2017.
I understand what you are trying to say but if you are seeing the market turning bearish and you have all the time in the world to monitor the market then you can book your profit when the price reaches a certain valuation and then plan on buying again when the market settles. I usually tend to do these kind of trades if i am convinced that the market would enter a bearish run to buy back again.
1406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: August 05, 2020, 07:04:57 PM
A total of 3 players scored a century yesterday and all three were from Ireland. However one of them was playing for England. It surprises me that despite losing their best players to England, Ireland still manages to put up a fight. Imagine an Irish team, with players such as Eoin Morgan and Boyd Rankin. I am not saying that such a team would be able to beat big-3 nations regularly, but at least they will be competitive against the other teams such as West Indies and Sri Lanka.
There is a major difference between the pay scale of Ireland players and England players and Eoin Morgan was talented enough to get a place in the England side if not he would be playing for Ireland. People migrate to different countries for better opportunities and we cannot blame them. Ireland stunned everyone with their performance and if they could do that consistently then it would be great.
1407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: August 05, 2020, 05:03:02 PM
India, didn't ban any Chinese products, they only banned Apps but I heard that import taxes for some Chinese products are increased after the issue but this is going to affect the people only since we are the consumer so extra price will be on the head of the people in India.
So there you go, then there is no point in having any emotions because some Chinese company is sponsoring the IPL, these taxes will drain the pockets of their own citizen and nothing else.

Not Blanket bans as its not logical, India has long way to go and its not an easy road.
As of now they are targeting 3000 products and start manufacture locally which is very much possible with extra push. Dependency on China is not sane option anyway and trade deficit is not favoring India, not even balanced so this move could help Indian cause.
I bet the products coming from China might be cheap and there are millions in India under poverty line but wants cheap products and if there are other companies that could fill that shows their products wont be that popular and that is not the case i assume.
1408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you hide your identity with bitcoin? (100%) on: August 05, 2020, 04:35:17 PM
Satoshi has hidden his identity very successful so far and he has every right to protect his privacy. I think that most of us at his place would have done the same. However, I don't think that is only with help of Bitcoin. Bitcoin has lost a great deal of anonimity since it first appeared and now it's much easier to track the person behind it and follow the transactions. To my opinion Satoshi relies on something completely different to protect identity.
The basic thing you miss here is that Satoshi did not move his coins from the known wallets and even if he wanted to move the coins during the initial stages when exchanges started popping up, you could easily sell the coins without verifying your identity and that way you could be anonymous but now the situation has changed and if Satoshi wanted to move the coins he will be exposed as you cannot find any exchanges you can trade without exposing yourself.
1409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can ICOs come back in the game? on: August 05, 2020, 03:58:58 PM
The new project under ICO will face a difficult challenge because they need to prove that they don't give a fake project back to the public. If that can happen, the ICO can come back, and maybe they can get many investors like before.
Are you talking about regulation to get investor confidence other than that there is no way to identify whether the project is fake or not even if you drill them about the project you cannot get a clue whether the project is legit or not, so unless there is a regulatory body monitoring those you will not get back the investor confidence.

It is a big challenge for every developer who wants to start the new project because they need to change the people's mindset that the project will benefit them.
If a developer is having a viable project that can change the industry then they will always find investors, the problem here is that half assed developers who want to experiment and who do not want to take any consequences are raising the money and that has to stop.
1410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 05, 2020, 11:50:16 AM
Looks like Pakistan got a good start here. After 12 overs, they are 32/0 with Abid Ali and Shan Masood resisting the English bowlers. Perhaps the Pakistan captain made the right decision by electing to bat. England has included Jofra Archer in the squad, despite his lack of form and recent theatrics. Let's see how that is going to work out for them.
The good start is gone as Azhar Ali is gone for a duck and Pakistan lost 2 wickets for 48 runs. It is going to be a good battle and i am not sure whether to wage a bet on the innings total for Pakistan. Babar Azam is the trump card and he is in good form in his past six innings as he scored centuries back to back and he needs to continue that form in the match for Pakistan to post a challenging total. Jofra Archer can bounce the ball and Asian batsman are not that good pulling the ball and it will be a challenge.
1411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is 5 years old today! on: August 04, 2020, 11:59:31 PM
Growth of ethereum for 5 years experienced very rapid development. The most valuable coin after BTC is one of the best investment choices in my opinion for now.
There are many promises but we are yet to see those rapid development on a technical stand point, during the early days their main dialogue was that the transaction could be made at nominal fees and at a fast pace where bitcoin will not reach and if you are transacting ETH now you know what is the real status and the charges on making a transaction, there are promises and lets see whether they will fulfill those, if you take the price then you are right, the valuation is rising once again and anyone who invested in ETH at the right time made a heck of a profit.
1412  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Covid crisis & evolving phases on: August 04, 2020, 11:45:14 PM
There will be definite changes by everyone after the pandemic, to see a complete change in how people use currency in which form is a difficult question to answer but there will be major changes in how we consume things, like how much money and time we will be spending for entertainment or we will watch everything at the comfort of our house and how we conduct our jobs, rather than travelling daily to office the pandemic has shown that we can sit at home and still do out job and that is the case with education. So there will be major changes in the future but we cannot pin point that to one particular aspect.
1413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: August 04, 2020, 11:18:55 PM
About Vivo sponsorship....

Unofficial news is Vivo already pulled out as a sponsor from the IPL. BCCI had no authority to cancel the deal due to signed contract otherwise VIVO could have sue BCCI easily, if rumors are correct then BCCI-VIVO mutually came into conclusion of cancelling the deal.
Did India ban all the goods from China, heard that some of the Chinese application are banned but not heard about any products or imports ban, if there is a blanket ban on all the Chinese products then there is no point for VIVO to advertise if they are not able to sell the products, it is true that BCCI cannot cancel a deal as they can drag them in court.
1414  Economy / Economics / Re: The Covid19 Curve is Flattening on: August 04, 2020, 10:43:56 PM
Now a month and a half latter we see that curve did not really started flattering at end of June. It seems it is flattering now in start of August. We are having about 250k new infected a day and it does not look like there will be more in upcoming weeks. Back in 23th June there were almost half less daily infected.
If you look at the new infection around the globe, three countries contribute to the new infections and those are Brazil, US and India and they combine hundred and fifty thousand patients on a daily basis but the rest of the countries have almost controlled the spread, that being said we have no idea what the future holds and whether there will be spikes, vaccine is the only solution and it will take time until then we need adjust our life around the virus.
1415  Economy / Economics / Re: Bank's loss crypto's gain? on: August 04, 2020, 09:50:10 PM
Bank run their business through trust, so reputation is very important to them as no one would entrust their money in a bank with a bad reputation.
Do you think anyone would run a bank and defraud the investors and get away without facing the law. If it is a legally registered bank then there is nothing much to worry and they offer protection even if there is a theft.

If a bank would deny withdrawal, there's something happening inside already and that is corruption.
No idea why would a bank deny withdrawal, if you are not dealing with dubious activities then there is nothing to worry and a bank will not close your account without a reason.

The fact is that the banking sector and the cryptocurrency sector have to coexist.
1416  Economy / Speculation / Re: A move (almost) no one is expecting: gap at $11795 on: August 04, 2020, 09:10:48 PM
My personal forecast is that it can hit $ 15k at any time, at least touching that limit.
As long as the market is breaking the resistance we could reach your prediction but it is hard to expect that it will breach all the resistance in the coming months, we might trade at this price range for a while before breaking another resistance and it might even take months, but these gradual movements is better than a big rally and a crash after that. We have a sell off today and lets see how it holds the support.
1417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: August 04, 2020, 07:33:51 PM
You guys can start a new thread for McGregor vs Pacquaio.
Is that even official, they are just teasing the fans to understand the level of interest and if the promoters think that they can earn a fortune they will proceed with it

What can I say, Weidman's chin is like Overeem's now.  Lol.
Chris Weidman is getting clean hits on his face often that breaks him and he has not recovered from the Yoel Romero knee that shattered his confidence, have to watch Omari Akhmedov to see whether Weidman will sleep or he will go back to wrestling.
1418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: August 04, 2020, 06:02:18 PM
You will win it because England are 308/9 in 46.3 overs. Curran is batting on 28 runs in 45 balls so does not seems that they would be able to cross 330 as well. Only if they can play full 50 overs then there is chance of crossing 330 seems difficult for now. Ireland will need to get a good start and atleast try to reach as close as possible so that it will be little interesting to watch as well.
I won that easily, once Morgan lost his wicket i knew it will be hard for England to score that much runs but still they someone scored over 328 runs after loosing their 7 wicket for 216 runs. Ireland had the best start chasing the score and they just lost the first wicket for 50 runs and if they can play like this and reach over 200 runs without loosing much wicket at a decent run rate and then if Kevin O'Brien is still in the crease he has enough firepower to chase the score.

@ JSRAW David Willey should be the player of the series as he performed well with the bat and ball. 5 wicket hall in the first match and a batting average of 98 in the series Cheesy
1419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cardano to reach 1$ before end of year? on: August 04, 2020, 04:59:48 PM
Everyone is dreaming about these penny coins and tokens reaching a dollar. Anyone holding XRP, Stellar, IOTA, NEM and some wanted Doge coin to reach a dollar.

I sold 2000 for $0.09 each and after that it start rising even higher.
Let's hope it still a good time to buy some back.
It happens when you do not have the patience to wait for a long time, it happened to me in the past especially whenever i sell a certain token the price usually rallies and then i made up my mind to hold for a longer period and then it ended up in my hand forever as the market went down considerably.
1420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: August 04, 2020, 02:53:15 PM
Ireland only require wickets here to help them to get all out England before 50 overs.
Ireland need to pick wickets and that is not happening now as Eoin Morgan raised to his century and the youngster Tom Banton is giving him good company as he raised to his first half century in his international career and he took the opportunity given and wish to see him score a big ton as well. The odds for England were not good and hence i went with under 359 runs but they way in which these players are batting they will score over 350 runs.
