502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If we lose in gambling, what do we need to do? on: October 15, 2023, 07:22:44 AM
Gambling is a place to spend money, although many gamblers consider casinos to be a place to earn money. But in reality, more gamblers lose their money at casinos or gambling sites. So I think all of us here probably have almost the same experience, namely losing a lot of money gambling

I also lost money because I lost on gambling, but maybe not that much. But I know there are people who spend a lot of money for gambling. In your opinion, what should we do if we have lost a lot of money on gambling? Do we keep gambling to win so we can cover up previous losses? or stop and work normally and leave gambling? Or do you have other suggestions?
The answer to this is pretty simple as most experience gamblers would agree that if one has experienced series of loses, its only best if he or she only stops this act and find of keeping your mind and thought in check because some gambler losses can make a man very confused and low thinking to the extent of proposing a big win ahead whereas all his gambling activity that day might just continue to lead to series of further losses.
If we lose, there are two things that often comes to a gambler's mind. One is recovering the losses and two is to stop already because it discourage him to continue due to worries that it might happen again. There are options that we can choose and the decision depends on what type of gambler you are.

But if you don't want to lose your money, just quit. Control yourself and have discipline because if you can do this then you don't have to deal with losses and disappointment. That's how gambling works, you'll lose if you're not lucky and win if you're one of the fortunate gambler.

503  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: October 15, 2023, 04:22:54 AM
That's just how people approach to it, and that has been annoying me ever since the first one started. There has been plenty of casinos in the crypto space so far and all of them had at least one person who did something wrong, it could be some technical issue, but I have seen as low as "I can't afford to lose this amount, please give it back" by someone who shouldn't have gambled, imagine the confidence to think that if you gamble and lose your money, the casino "may" give it back if you write to them enough.
Asking to give their money back for losing on the specific casino is a lame excuse. If a gambler use his money to play, expect the high chance of losing it (but of course there's still a possibility of gaining). The reason why we should only play with less expectation to win. So whatever the outcome is, we're prepared and can accept the result.
504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don’t push playing more on: October 15, 2023, 02:47:13 AM
This is what I’m trying to share here. If you really feel that your gambling doesn’t want to make you move forward by having decent profit and just giving you a hard time then don’t hesitate to quit!
It's crucial to know when to stop. Much better to do it before losing so much money in gambling. Don't get me wrong, it's fine to play especially if that can make you happy by having a satisfaction. However, you should know when to play or when to refrain yourself.

Have a break and just gamble newt week or month because a lucky game will make you win easily and not with a very hard to win winning condition.
Indeed. If you're lucky, even you just place a bet once or twice, you can win huge. It's not about how long you stay on the game (though we'll never know). But it's not wise if you only have limited bankroll. Therefore just use what you can only afford, and if you got busted early, just stop and come back if you already have a budget again meant for leisure.
505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An agent is no where to be found. on: October 15, 2023, 01:23:35 AM
However, I am here to say these are the reasons why it is not always good to gamble in a betting agent's shop, because if the manager of the shop does not run with the money a gambler wins, then one of the workers in the betting shop might run away with the money someone wins, so I do conclude that an online gambling site with good reputation is the best for gambler, so what do you guys have to say about this?.
Well, it can also happen even in online casinos. They can hold your winnings, accuse a gambler of cheating or breaking a certain rules (even it's not the case). Therefore regardless where you gamble, the risk is always there.

BUT this can only happen if the casino or betting shop are shady or they're real scammers. People who run their business legitimately won't dare to ruin their names since it's not easy to build a good reputation. In agent's shop, if the workers run away with the money, the owner must pay it since it's his/her responsibility. Moreover it's partly his fault by hiring a dishonest workers.
506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Flip or Trade? What’s The Bigger Gamble? on: October 15, 2023, 12:26:55 AM
Coin flipping has so much to do with luck and with little or no skill at all whereas in day trading you can't just open a position to trade hinging on luck there must be an applied skills from a long time built technique.
I have learnt a number of lessons from my losses in gambling but I can't say I can depend and work with the experiences of those losses to make profit in subsequent bets but for trade the more experience and knowledge you possess the more chances you have of making profitable trades without having to be lucky at it.
Exactly, that's their difference. Experience in luck based games (or in coin flip specifically) doesn't increase your chances to profit the next time you gamble again. Because there's no skills that can help you to win, thus regardless of what you do the result will still depend on your luck.

While on trading, experience can help you to improve, this can increase the possibility to profit next time since you gained knowledge already from your past experiences. Although it is also risky just like gambling, but trading doesn't solely relying on luck. The more experience you have, means you already learned something, it could be another knowledge or strategy.
507  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: October 13, 2023, 04:54:44 AM

One of
What's the point of HODLing bitcoins? Do you think that if we all hold, the value of the coin will go up? Why do you expect increased demand for Bitcoin in the case of Hodl when there are alternative cryptocurrencies? There is no point in holding money, money has to be in circulation for new products to be created and for services to be done. That's how this world works and functions.
One of the points why people are hodling Bitcoin is because Bitcoin is a solid asset and the price always recovers in value after a decrease. Wealth comes from waiting, people will not like to invest their money on shitcoins and lose their money in the course of waiting through a rug pull or the price of the shitcoin dropping by -90% and not recovering again. People choose to buy Bitcoin and hold it for years because they know that holding Bitcoin's safer than hodling a shitcoin
Apart from the price recovery the real reason why people trust Bitcoin is a project that is truly decentralized and completely under the control of its users so no one can able to control it or ban it like most shitcoins which keeps encouraging people to invest more and more once they start to reap the actual profits from bitcoin investment.

Currently, we are at $27K, a small discount price so whoever got the money doesn't miss the deal.
Indeed. It is an established coin and trusted by majority of investors who are not eager to profit in a short period, it takes time but we know it's worth it. On the other side, many investors are afraid to buy during dip because of further price decrease. We can't pin point the real bottom so the best deal here is, if you can afford the price (since it's way cheaper compared to ath), go and fill your bags. Anything can happen which means the price can rise unexpectedly.

Therefore if we don't want to miss the chance then think what you can do to take advantage the situation. Anyhow regardless of how you accumulate (DCA or buy the dip), what matter is you understand what you're doing and firm on your decision about Bitcoin.
508  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Educational plan sa Bitcoin o Insurance? on: October 13, 2023, 02:31:55 AM
Ito ang plan ko. Kukuha ako ng educational plan na mababa lang then half ng salary(signature campaign at real job) ko ay ilalagay ko sa Bitcoin monthly then observe ang Bitcoin market in 4 years basis dahil ito yung tinatawag na crypto cycle tapos ilalabas ko yung half profit ko sa Bitcoin para ilagay ulit sa insurance and so on. Bali not totally all-in sa Bitcoin para may guaranteed profit while still invested sa Bitcoin regularly.

Mas ok ang may insurance at the same time eh meron ka ring Bitcoin investment. Hindi natin masasabi ang panahon pero mas panatag ka kung alam mong secured ka. In the end para naman yan sa kinabukasan ng mga anak mo.
509  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop Trading on: October 13, 2023, 01:13:11 AM
It is not a must to take every trade and it is not a must to trade. Have you experience difficulty in the Financial Market or disappointment that affected your well being.
It's inevitable to face losses in trading even you're knowledgeable or a skillful trader. Because not all the time, everything you've planned for will going to happen. Thus, it's a must to be prepared in this kind of situation to not be discourage or disappointed that can affect you to just quit.

Well, we're the ones who can tell if it's already time to stop or continue being a trader. If you think it's not healthy anymore mentally (for overthinking) and financially, then don't be hard on yourself. Trading might be profitable but it's not for everyone since not all are able to profit. Therefore, try to improve to minimize the chances of having losses. If it's not working, trading might not suited for you, just like some traders who quit and look for other opportunity.
510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hodling vs trading on: October 12, 2023, 11:06:31 AM
Holding and trading are different strategy to gain, but both are profitable depending on how you deal with it. So we have a choice on what we think is suited for us to have a huge gain. Thus, if you can, it would be better to try both, so you got the chance to xperience its importance and advantages and can decide which is more beneficial.

1. Ease ; hodling Bitcoin saves you the stress of understanding marketing strategies and little price fluctuations As you only store the Bitcoin in your wallet without transacting.(successful trading requires constant research and experience)
This is one of the reason why I chose to just hold my Bitcoin. It's less stress on my part unlike when I was still an active trader. Because in trading, it requires plenty of time to be able to monitor the market and of course the timing.
511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you ever feel tired of waiting? on: October 12, 2023, 04:38:26 AM
Don't get me wrong, I'm not against holding, nor am I getting frustrated, at least not yet; I did it in the past and regretted it, even though my only source of income is signature campaigns. It's just that sometimes you can't stop the thoughts from circling around your head. I generally didn't bother to even look at it's price, but I've recently started feeling a little wearied. Perhaps it has to do with the life-induced stress that I've discussed in a previous thread. Who knows? How do you cope with waiting?
I decided to hold because I learned a lesson from the past experience that it is more beneficial if you see Bitcoin as a long term investment. What I do, to not think of the price is to keep myself busy. This way, I have no time to monitor the current value. Because if you don't have anything to do and just monitoring the price often, it's really likely that you'll get tired especially if you have no long patience.

It's an advantage that I have a day job because it really help me to divert my attention. Moreover, I don't want to repeat the same mistakes that I did before hence as much as possible i'm refraining myself to sell if not really needed.
512  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is politics really necessary? on: October 12, 2023, 02:26:00 AM
Politics has become a business in some number of countries i know. Where people from younger to older age are all affected. They are doing politics to gain their power. In all these countries murders, fights, thefts, robberies have increased because they are doing these bad activities using political power.
In our country, many politicians are corrupt. They're entering politics to gain power, political dynasties are also common as if it's a business that be should pass to their family members. There are also cases of murders due to this as well, just shows how important for these people to occupy the position for their own welfare.

However, although politics has its own disadvantages, it can't still be eliminated because it is crucial. We need politics, a leader to lead us, from local to national. We can prevent people who are not deserving to take a position if we elect the rightful person. And it's our responsibility as an individual to become part of the changes and development of our country.
513  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Relying on gamble wins is dangerous to mental health on: October 11, 2023, 04:50:32 AM
I met a friend who used about $1 to play gamble to win about $2500 in a game of different matches, all the early games went well but the last game cut which made him loose the game.  This lose made him to be sick for 3 days, the reason for his reaction was not because of the money he used to bet but he felt so bad because he has already put all his hope on the money he would have won.

People needs not to put all their hope in games they are not sure of winning, because relying on it can be very dangerous to the mental health. Play gamble and remove your mind from the money that will be gained till it is achieved.
This is the result of having high expectation in gambling. It's understandable if you have a desire of winning a huge amount. However relying on gambling to generate profit is not a good idea, especially if you already became lucky to had that chance of winning a decent amount. But because of greed, you chose to continue playing until you lose it all.

This can affect your mental health due to high hopes. It can make you depress and feel regretful for the mistakes you did. But that's how it is, if you can't bear the fact you can lose money in gambling then better not to try playing. Moreover, don't be too greedy for wanting more if you're already fortunate to win some. Be contented and enjoy your earnings, otherwise you'll regret if the casino take it away from you again.
514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Winning Wisely: Strategies to Protect Your Bankroll on: October 11, 2023, 02:51:33 AM
Maintain a sensible approach. Avoid chasing excessive profits that could lead to a complete loss.
IMHO, if you're in the right time and luck is obviously on you. Take that moment and cherish that until you ran out of it.

Oppositely, do not chase your losses but as for your winning times. You only need to follow and continue while you can see that it's still there. Because if it's no longer there, that's the time that you should avoid chasing it.

The signs are there like you're on a losing streak then that means that you're no longer lucky.
That's what i'm doing, whenever I find myself lucky on the certain game, I just take advantage the moment because it's rare. So I keep playing until a signal hits me to stop and that is when I already lose the bet twice. However, one can't do this if you have no contentment on the profit you've made already.

Well anyway, we have different style on how we gamble. But what matter here is you know how to manage your emotion and your bankroll to play longer, but it doesn't mean you'll exceeds to your set budget. Just know your limit so that you can gamble in moderation.
515  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Mga Artista Na Scam Ng Crypto Investment on: October 11, 2023, 01:28:20 AM

516  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: October 10, 2023, 09:00:31 AM
Me too. I participated almost in all Roobet Art Contests. Hand-drawn art, Digital, Animation, Craft, I did them all. The only category I haven't perticipated yet is Painting. ("yet", "Yeti Cash Dash", it's funny, innit?). I don't know if I'll win anything, but I'd like to cover this category just for myself.
In my case I already tried Hand drawn, Painting and Craft (But this is my uncle's art). If i'm not mistaken I already won 3 times in Roobet contest and that's for each category. It's been a while since I last win but that doesn't discourage me to try my luck again.

The current theme is interesting and i'm tempted to play this game. It's quite exciting especially if you have a decent bankroll.  Grin
517  Economy / Economics / Re: What would you do in this situation? Invest or save? on: October 10, 2023, 04:07:51 AM
1. Invest the $15,000 into a smaller business hoping that the returns will yield the remaining $15,000 in a short period. Note that this has the potential of failing and wasting the already-saved  $15,000.

2. Keep the $15,000 while doing other work that will yield the remaining money over a long period.
I'd like to take the safe side and that is to keep the $15k while doing other works to reach the required amount for my dream business. It might take a long period as you've said, but I think there's also other way to maximize the profit, right? Don't stick to just one work, look for a side hustle or other opportunities so it will not take a long time to fill the required amount.

Because using your $15k for small business is a risky thing to do. The returns are not guaranteed therefore if the result is worse, it's like you just wasted your money and of course your effort to save such amount just to build your dream business. Well anyway, if you're prepared for the outcome regardless if you profit or not, then go for it. In the end, it depends on the person's guts and determination. The saying "no pain, no gain" is suited if you'll take risk.
518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If we lose in gambling, what do we need to do? on: October 10, 2023, 02:32:48 AM
what should we do if we have lost a lot of money on gambling? Do we keep gambling to win so we can cover up previous losses? or stop and work normally and leave gambling? Or do you have other suggestions?
Having losses and continuously playing for the reason you want to recover your money are certainly not right and we all know that. However many gamblers can't refrain themselves, that's a fact. Well, some of us are still playing despite of losses but still able to play in moderation. Why? Because our main desire is to have fun.

But this is not the case if your intention (that's why you're playing) is to double your money. Just quit, that's the right thing to do for gamblers who are looking for profit. Find a decent job and forget about gambling because instead of gaining you'll only lose your money if you have no discipline.
519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In the best interest of investors, Bounties shouldn't be paid in Tokens on: October 10, 2023, 12:49:58 AM
Going forward in the best interest of investors and the project itself, hope to see "more" bounties being paid with established coins in this industry.
If the projects are serious and they want to optimize the development of their tokens, the project teams must prefer to pay the bounty hunters with established coins (ex: Bitcoin or USDT). But if you learned the projects deeply, there are many project teams that don't want to spend much money for their marketing/promotion. They pay the bounty hunters with the project tokens because they don't need to spend money. They think it is they best way to reduce expenses during the promotional period.

So, if the project fails to grow, the project teams don't lose too huge money. It is because they don't spend much money for marketing/promotion. That's what I guess, according to many project teams that prefer to pay bounty hunters with their own tokens.
That's true. Paying using their native token means less expenses even their project didn't succeed. It's not wise for them to use established coins since it can cost them huge losses if everything didn't go as planned. However, as we know if a bounty is paying an established coins, it's one of an indication for hunters that this particular project is different to others since the team is confident to spend money just to promote their project.

Trust is necessary, therefore by doing this, the dev can gain this important factor for their project. That is the trust of the community here and of course it can attract the potential investors. Even their bounty hunters might gain interest also to support their tokens by investing aside from the reward given to them through established coins.
520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Credit card gambling fuels gambling addiction on: October 09, 2023, 07:33:55 AM
Gambling with the money they don't have is harmful. When one gambles with the money they don't have, and ends up losing it could lead to instability in his/her living. Just a simple way calculation, one had spent his credit card limit on gambling and lost everything. Now he's in need of money for his month and he starts borrowing. When the payment gets delayed he needs to pay additional interest, and also he needs to repay the borrowed money. If he continues gambling with credit card for few months and was unlucky, surely no other choice than getting into big debts. Understanding this, Australia government have banned gambling with credit cards and allowed Lotteries taking it as low harm. Now this have been under discussion and can expect ban on it.

When the gambler starts to the gambling with their own money,it never affect the gambler. The gambler will go the sleep after the game is win or loss.Because the reason is very simple, the money used in the gambling site is his hard earned money. So he no need to answer anyone after he game.If the gambler use the credit card for the deposit of money to gambling sites, may the gambler get gambling addiction.Because the credit card will have huge amount as the limit to the user and need to repay the same money with the huge interest.

    -   That's the only disadvantage of having a credit card, because any gambler who has a credit card that is used to gamble will be really tempted to gamble. Because he will think as if he never runs out of money.

But he doesn't know that while he loses often in gambling, he won't notice that he will gradually reach the credit limit of his credit card, and when that happens, his suffering will start in paying off his credit card debt for sure. Which is not the beautiful one anymore? So it is still better and better to gamble without a credit card being used by a gambler.
Exactly. A gambler won't notice that he/she is already drowning in debt because of the losses in gambling. It's convenient to have credit card but if you're going to use it in gambling that's a big mistake. It can really fuel the addiction since it's your resort to sustain your gambling habit. Then, will only realize the debt after you're slap of the reality that you made a huge losses and already reach your credit card limit.

What sad is, this happened due to lack of control, thinking you can somehow win and repay the debt. The reason why it's not advisable to borrow money just to feed your eagerness to gamble. Regardless how you spend the money, in the end you have the responsibility to repay what you owe.
