521  Other / Meta / Re: Why is Meta growing fast but serious discussion and ivory tower dead? on: November 15, 2018, 04:00:17 PM
TBH I feel quite intimidated by some of the stuff out there Grin

I feel I'm much better off just quietly reading it rather than publicly showing off my stupidity by trying to comment on it.
Yass queen. Description of those board: Such nerdiness, much lame.

Meta is more like the chill out board, and you get to thrash talk to newbs, what else could you possibly want? I mean, don't you not love it when noobs come here and be like "why you BULLY me?"(Definitely not the Rick Astley song).

Honestly, IT and SD boards are BORING!! And humour be dead there, most of the times, and its more serious, and that's what its intended for. I definitely can't do that. Imma let procrastination be my bitch and talk shit to people.
522  Other / Meta / Re: My thoughts on why threads that are spam-flooded should be deleted on sight on: November 10, 2018, 07:39:09 PM
I agree that would probably work as a solution, but I get the feeling Theymos doesn't want the mods to do it--and the reason I have that feeling in the first place is that he hasn't acted on any proposed solutions like this, and I'm pretty sure he knows what options are available.
Even if mods start thrashing the threads, those idiots would come here bitching about why their posts got deleted. So spam doesn't reduce, it only becomes more, it spreads like an actual disease. People will continue spamming in the boards they used to spam and then in the not so spammy boards like Meta or Reputation.

Remember when people lost their shit when mods went on a delete streak, and a lot of campaign participants weren't able to meet their requirements which led them asking questions like "Why mY poSt get removed?" ,"nazi mods hate me", and this: How to avoid deleted posts by Bitcoin forum admin when you join a bounty?.

It seems a whole lot easier when said, but actions speak better than words.

Because the Russian man is not able to understand the harmonious "Golden mean" and rushes between extremes-to total punish or sloppiness
What is this "golden mean" of which you speak?

I'm also finding this thread to be extremely entertaining, though I'm sure it will end, probably resolved to no one's satisfaction, at some point.  Where will I go and what will I do with myself at that point?  Where have all the silly troll personalities gone?
Du-ude.. You neeed to up your game.  Undecided

These idiots would come and go, the real trolls are people like BADecker, notBatman, those homie flat earthers, and oh boy I can't forget that Smoothie.

Because the Russian man is not able to understand the harmonious "Golden mean" and rushes between extremes-to total punish or sloppiness
What is this "golden mean" of which you speak?
Its some philosophical shit which basically points out towards double standards. Either that or it is some math shit that Putin has assigned them russians to figure out,IDK, you decide. PS, don't judge my math-reasoning skills. Also,a russian stereotype.
524  Economy / Reputation / Re: Who is this micgoossens?? on: November 09, 2018, 09:56:20 PM
The "cool boy" squad and the "nerd" squad?  Roll Eyes
I'd choose the nerd squad any day of the week.

The only way you join the nerd squad is by getting into chipmixer. Most of them be nerds there ,SMH. I am just an asshole who acts like like he knows what he is doing but all I am is a shilly-shally.

What did I just walk into? Shocked
cOld bLoOded betrayel.  Angry
Honestly that WO is some next level shit, I'd rather figure out how bitcoin than getting into that.  Undecided
525  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] ChipMixer Signature Campaign | 0.00075 BTC/post on: November 09, 2018, 08:58:40 PM
I'm just posting to show off my new avatar HAT:
For now it's a chipmixer hat but if you have a better idea, let me know.

I love it!
Full credits and much thanks go to xhomerx10.

Where can I get one of those hats?
Ask some asshole cool kid from the WO thread, and you'll likely get an answer, even if you're looking for an IRL hat.  Roll Eyes

But bill not you too...

526  Economy / Reputation / Re: Who is this micgoossens?? on: November 09, 2018, 01:35:24 PM
You're outnumbered by hats in this thread Vod!
~
And I need a hat too Cheesy
For now it's a chipmixer hat but if you have a better idea, let me know.

I love it! Thank you very much Cheesy It really looks like it's printed on fabric.
I wanted to shower you with Merit, but since your post is mainly interesting for me and not for others, I managed to resist the urge.
Oh great, you WO guys took my own alt and turned it into one of yours. Now he's ditching the nerd squad, and joining the cool boy squad. Great.

Won't be surprised if he next starts ditching meta and gets into WO discussions. Thanks Vod, for bringing this micgoossens to light, which has now led to my alt ditching the squad.  Angry
527  Other / Meta / Re: I don't want to use the marketplace - auctions board. on: November 08, 2018, 12:50:18 PM
I was going to list some Bitcoin related domain names for sale, and it appears that the popular place for such sales is the marketplace-auctions board. However, about half of the sales that I saw there were for Bitcoin Talk accounts, and I don't want to support or frequent a board that promotes these transasctions. Is there a board that can be used exclusively for "honest" Bitcoin related products?
I don't have anything against you but you realize you're asking for something stupid and well, stupid.

We peasants are here are still waiting here for a new forum and dare you ask for a new auction board, that fits your need? Hell people paid more than a million dollars(VIP rank ,for the dumbnuts who don't get it) and got nothing in return, and you ask a new board for FREE?

Also, people use bitcoin for auctioning accounts and in your words ,"it promotes such transactions", now would you leave bitcoin too?
528  Other / Meta / Re: [Suggestion] Add Warning Message ---> Please, search before starting a new topic on: November 06, 2018, 10:03:27 PM
Nah man. This is too preposterous. This is a forum, we won't run out of space, if multiple threads are created with the same concern. People are just overdoing this too much. It won't end the world if multiple threads are created.

Even if there's a warning, and suppose a random newbie found a 5 year old thread useful and decides to post there, someone or the other would get agitated by it, and will come here complaining "Theymos, don't allow newbies to post in threads that are older than 120 days because they are necro-posting". You can't satisfy people. Newbies would do stupid shit like creating new threads about their issue or whatever because that's why they came here for/to shitpost. This happens all across the internet, so don't tell me people do it here only for money. This is common, and you'd be a fool if you think you're clever enough to tell a bunch of fools what's wrong and what's right, because they might just never get it.

Get over it already.
529  Other / Meta / Re: [Anti-spam Suggestion] Forbid newbies to post URL's on: November 02, 2018, 11:21:55 PM
Do you mean to make the links posted by newbies unclickable? Or for the forum to just wipe out any link that newbies post? Either way, both of them have their pros and cons, and a copper membership could solve the problems for newbies. But I could only see this happening if the issue of newbies spamming URLs on a VERY LARGE SCALE.
530  Other / Meta / Re: BAN appeal? What happened? on: November 02, 2018, 09:26:29 PM
I think you're banned by burst posting. Just checked your post history and most of your posts are burst posting look at this image below as sample.

Look at the date and time some post just posted in seconds. This might be the reasons why your account banned.
People don't get banned for post-bursting. OP was banned for plagiarism, refer to iasenko's and k0er's post above.

So is there a Chance to get the Account back. Cant remember I did something wrong tbh. Was hard to receive the Merit for a new Member. Otherwise I think i will buy a account from russia to get accepted for translation and so on. With new account not possible. ^^
This is what is wrong with the forum users mindset. Of course, money above all things. Its not like rules matter here or anywhere anyway. Murder away folks .-.
531  Other / Off-topic / Re: Sofa experts on forums are evil and a lot of spam. on: October 28, 2018, 04:05:15 PM
Welcome to bitcointalk- where the high ranked doublestandard hypocritical asshole members say shit to members tryhard stupid fucks like you because why not?

We should change the ranks of Members and lower to something like "BitcoinTalk Graduate" ,for their life lessons are so galvanizing.
532  Other / Meta / Re: @theymos please change the ban appeal message. on: October 28, 2018, 03:54:37 PM
Yeah, the message should be changed and the contact email should be removed if it's not being monitored at all (or hire someone to start monitoring it). There are probably people who email it for many months expecting an answer and it's both futile and unfair to them to keep them hanging, and then it just causes more spam in Meta when they ask there. At the very least we could change the warning to something like You have been banned for breaking the rules. This is usually for copy and pasting content or spreading malware, but please see the full rules here to check what you may have been banned for. If you wish to appeal you can do so in Meta, but bans for copy and pasting are permanent. Or something like that. As I've suggested before having a button that issues the ban and gives the reason automatically as copy and pasting would also be solve this and probably shouldn't be too difficult to implement.
Firstly, most people who get perma-banned come back, unless they are so done with the forum. I don't see the problem with the current Ban message, it'd be easier if the banned users know why they are banned for. IIRC, some users were aware why they were banned for, as it was stated in the ban message.

But one thing, remove that darn email, we know nothing ever happens to those redundant crying letters.
533  Other / Meta / Re: Add a rule about titles of new topics on: October 23, 2018, 09:34:46 PM
Why do I feel like the users who are active in meta, or people who have been here for a while, start nitpicking on literally everything that newbies do? Like initially when newbs said the word "sir" out of respect , people used to get only more offended and behaved like total pricks to newbies. And as things have gone sailed past, more nitpicking has only followed. And I myself have also been an asshole, have no shame whatsoever in admitting it, but sometimes feel bad for the less-aware-people, because a lot of cultures are based like that.

Let the titles be as is. We need rules for much important things and that is long overdue, so let's just point at the right direction.

tl;dr: We don't need any rule for titles.
534  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature Anti-Spam Campaign Managers on: October 23, 2018, 09:27:02 PM
Maybe you can add changelog on the second post. For example, I find that you remove Lutpin from the list (i guess because of no payments for 777casino campaign) even they still in description part where you say nice words about them. Info and ref links can be useful for a clearer picture
Changelog isn't really necessary on this particular thread. Changes are very rare. There are hardly any good enough managers that are there for me to keep changing the list. Zapo almost made through the list, but I was suspicious about it from day 1, so decided to wait till something happens, and guess what? He got exposed.

About removing Lutpin, I have thought about it, and have decided against it, even though he's been a little "irresponsible" or "non-punctual" for the past couple of months as some say, he is still a good enough manager. People should do their due diligence while hiring any manager, and this thread is just to help out newcomers weed out 12-year old bounty managers.

535  Other / Meta / Re: Why was my account banned? on: October 21, 2018, 10:26:57 PM
Another banned account for which I can only view posts going back to August 2017 even though it was registered in 2014.  OP, did you buy this account or hack it by any chance?  What sections were you posting in from 2014 to 2017?
Uncheck the ignore boards option in your profile settings and check again. Anyhow, it doesn't matter. OP is banned and no one cares about his account, except for a couple of merit whores.
536  Economy / Reputation / Re: actmyname- Incorrect negative trust- Need to reconsider on: October 20, 2018, 12:59:43 PM
Perfect, he must ask me to show the proof and confirm that I am legitimate in my role here on this forum. If these touches the freedom and mold them to direct wrong way like this unwanted chats or something.
What the fuck are you even saying? I cannot understand a single thing, and what you're trying to prove. Can you use your normal English please?

@actmyname You deserve a red trust since you are online not being reply for the thread which created against you. I am not sure who has recommended you to stay in DT member. Worst decision by the forum next to Lauda.
...

You kids just come here and try to act cool by using the word "red trust" and bullshit, while you actually make yourself look like an utter dumbfucktard.

Patrick, would you answer it if actmyname ask you the same question?
Are you allowed to call people by their names which isn't their username(as some may consider it as doxing bs?).

Anyhow, I believe the account has been used by 3 different users, one in 2015, after that the person who got the 37 merits and now this idiot. Its a theory, and I am not gonna spend more time on it, because I don't want to.
537  Other / Meta / Re: Merit giving mistake. Page reload resulted in multiple merits given. Suggestion. on: October 20, 2018, 12:03:10 AM
This bug has been existing since the beginning of merit intro, and people are aware of it, but nothing has been done thus far to void said bug. Your suggestion seems doable but would rather have the bug fixed than making a change that might potentially require a change in the code. Pretty sure that this isn't too important to fix, but something could be done about it.
538  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is this not merit abuse really ? on: October 19, 2018, 11:34:57 PM
Not only does this go against everything Merit stands for, it's also totally off-topic, and worst of all: it's a Merit source (#2 most Merit sent) doing this.
Idk about Raja_MBZ, Last of the V8s, xhomerx10 but the other 2 guys don't really deserve 30 merits. The ulrich_zh guy posted "nice" thrice just to get more merits. While its a good thing that QA doesn't spend insane amount of time thinking whether or not he should give 1 merit to a user unlike other <insert other insane merit sources who overthink too much here>, QA shouldn't just shove his merits to hoe's out there. I mean, we get it, you are rich, stop showin' off. We don't want a bitcointalk version of Trump(we already have theymos and cyrus), otherwise before you know it, Stormy Daniels would come here accusing you of sexual merit abuse.
539  Economy / Reputation / Re: actmyname- Incorrect negative trust- Need to reconsider on: October 19, 2018, 09:43:06 PM
When it has been hacked. Do you need the password list which changed from that time to now. I can share those information without any hesitation since you are most trusted mod here. Shall I???

If I shared everything perfect! Confirm me are you ready to tag him accordingly?HuhHuh?

@actmyname. What is your requirement to show me that I legit. I am ready to give it.
The fact that you're willing to deep down as low to prove yourself "legit" only makes your case worse. Sharing your list of passwords won't prove anything, fwiw [1]. And yahoo ain't a mod. Your tag is likely to stay, unless you come up with extraordinary proof to prove otherwise, but good luck with that ever happening.
[1]Things people do for signature campaigns, smfh.
540  Other / Meta / Re: How did they get 1000 merits? on: October 19, 2018, 12:26:28 PM
...
Maybe these members got 1000 airdropped merits because of what some people call "potential activity"? IIRC, potential activity is the ungained activity due to lack of enough posts to reach that activity. Sometimes the activity system confuses me, but I am too busy procrastinating ,so never bother to figure out why.

theymos could just throw all the curiousness to drain, but until then, bring on all the weird-ass theories and conspiracies.
