@haitch: thanks for your answer in detail! I will post this experience as instructive money Btw, i cannot understand people cheating for a few bucks, but so are the people. @IncludeBeer: http://forums.burst-team.us:4567/topic/1111/scam-burstvestI recieved a payment on 04/09/2016, but as you can read there are some hints that is all the some user with different kind of assets. I will be happy if its not true, but "it stinks to the sky". The only thing that will proof that is to watch the continous of payments. Yes we can wait to see if we get paid any dividends but the person who released the assets should speak up and defend himself if it's not true and so far no update from that person or any post so I'm starting to think that it might be a scam which is a shame because it can tarnish the community and we don't want that happening here because we have a great community and dev team. And also people have invested a lot of Burst into these assets. Well I really hope he does. I hold the most # of shares for that asset... I just checked the account of the asset. The account doesn't hold anymore of the assets which its supposed to pay dividends with! It's official: BurstVest is a fucking scam. After the deletion of posts from here I am not the projects biggest fan anymore, but you are posting info that is just plain wrong. The account named BurstVest Asset Wallet has a balance of 1'740.05461037 BURST. morantis, ddos was outed as another alias of a serial scammer on Burst - a scammer with 19 different accounts that all posted from the same IP address, many of which setup assets that turned out to be scams. DDOS is a scammer, and BurstVest was a scam. "well it seems our scammer was a very busy individual. He has/had 19 accounts, one of which I banned for spamming. A little bit of digging into the guy shows: It looks like he attends Louisiana Tech, has an AT&T phone, has Suddenlink Communications as an ISP, uses a VPN called NorthGhost and possibly has a virtual server with a firm called LogicWeb. Anyone wishing to dig further, go for it." 173.217.226.92 bitoppertunities 173.217.226.92 bum 173.217.226.92 burst 173.217.226.92 busybee 173.217.226.92 ddos 173.217.226.92 finalBurst 173.217.226.92 hamstermuffin 173.217.226.92 internetofhub 173.217.226.92 jerry 173.217.226.92 kevinfml 173.217.226.92 muffinman 173.217.226.92 pancakeflipper 173.217.226.92 physical 173.217.226.92 queasy 173.217.226.92 significant 173.217.226.92 Username 173.217.226.92 wandering That is just the balance of burst the account has. What I said was the assets the account holds, not the balance of burst. The entire scheme of BurstVest was to buy other assets. Then, a large portion of the profits of those assets get rolled out as dividends to BurstVest holders. If you look at the assets (not burst balance) held by the account, you'll see there's nearly nothing there anymore. He sold all shares and stole the resulting burst (as indicated by the small 1.7k balance). Alright, I misunderstood. Has a promised dividend date come and gone or is there still a possibility that the project is up front? Well, we all got first payment on 4-Sep. Monthly payments would mean 4-Oct, so technically there's still time to see if he sticks with the same schedule. But, seeing as he sold all the assets that were held for the asset itself, and that he hasn't communicated at all to anyone...well it's most likely a scam. There goes 750k burst This is why we always make sure to stress the fact that knowing the asset issuer is important, and seeing their reputation in the community. New users starting assets right away is generally pretty 'fishy' and should not be taken lightly. Sorry to hear about your loss.

Currently all the *.burst-team.us sites are unreachable. Don't know why - I've emailed the colo to see if something is going on there.
I won't be able to get to it until tomorrow, so unless it's an issue with the colo that they can resolve, they'll be off the air for a while.
H.
burstcoion.biz and burstcoin.info also dead Everything back up now. H. Thank you haitch, for your quick responses to these issues

I want to support burstcoin network and host mining pool in my country. Where can i download pool software?
Right now the ninja codebase isn't really available to download, but we can build you a clone copy of it... However, we're working on some new pool software that should be available soon. There seem to be some issues with the wallet and the way it handles being used as a pool wallet, and the new pool software will alleviate that problem while we come up with a permanent solution. The new pool software will also be a lot faster and more responsive. We will let everyone know when this happens. Thanks!

@morantis
Removing slanderous and straight up bashing posts, is not what I consider 'Nazi'.
If you would like, create your own thread and say whatever you'd like. Just here, we're talking about BURST, and not arguing and name calling over nonsense like pool colors. That's childish behavior.
Also, our old thread is unmoderated, and so is the development thread. This one is not. Go ahead and say whatever you'd like, but you're not going to win people over with your negative attitude on the most positive community in crypto.
Especially not by calling me a 'Nazi'.

I would be extremely surprised if we went down at all, I simply don't see it happening. Though, I couldn't say I'd be upset, because I would be right there with some more BTC to pick up the cheap coins. Starting a massive mining operation as a joint venture with the new company I got appointed CTO for, we're putting together the plans now, I plan to build 2-3PB farm to back multiple assets including BSILVER, ByteEnt, BURSTeam, and more. But yea, I think the prices now are likely the ones I'll end up buying at here in a few days when I get myself some more BTC, because like I said, I'd be very surprised if the prices went down.

It's a good feeling that my contribution is getting somewhere with these developments going on.

I had to remove a few posts where people were getting a little nasty with each other, and it had nothing to do with BURST itself, please refrain from calling people names and bashing and such in this thread, we're here to talk about BURST. you are more than welcome to bring up issues and such, but please, if you're going to get in depth with those types of things, the forums for BURST is a better location for this to take place. Bashing people is not something we like to tolerate in the BURST community, and for the most part we have a fantastic community where this doesn't happen often. We would like to keep it this way. So please, stay on topic and don't bash fellow BURSTers! Friendly message from your neighborhood BURST fanatic. why were posts only removed from one half of the conversation, is this one of those coins where only certain points of view are allowed to be expressed and others can freely be completely useless to be thread and remain? it appears that is the type of business that has become attached to burst coin. I had very high expectations for the coin and now I have serious doubts. Kindly point out the ones you're referring to and I'll remove them. I removed an equal amount of Rich and your posts. I would also like to note, this is only the 3rd time of the history of this thread that I've deleted anything, and it was only because there was just pure flaming and name calling going on. If this makes you doubt the coin and community, you clearly aren't looking at everything. But you're entitled to whichever opinion you'd like to have.

I've purchased a good amount of these assets, and will continue to do so, it's just like my ByteEnt asset which has been running over 2 years never missing a payout. I believe that Focus and his team will do a great job managing the asset, and thus I've got trust in it. Double thus, I purchased some of the asset. I would say it's a good buy for anyone. You can stay more up to date on all BURST related information on our forums. https://forums.burst-team.us

Hello all!
I've been very busy lately, but just dropping by to check on things here.
Wanted to also let you know, Matthias...
BURST and QORA have the tech you're needing for cross-chain communications and value transfer. Services and value from each coin can soon be used on each other.
We are developing what we're calling a 'decentralized trade portal' which will have the above ability and more.
It will by default support BTC, LTC, and any other coin developed with newer bitcoin core. It will support BURST/QORA and any coins that have our Smart Contract system as well.
Let me know if you're interested in talking with the developer about this, and/or I could provide you with some more information as well. Thanks!

the ddns address was meant to be temporary, and currently I have that wallet running a testnet client, so it will not be up. You should use the one on http://qora.tech:9090 - this one will always be on the main net and always accessible, if this is ever down, just let me know and I'll restart the linux host. edit - it does seem that there's some loading issue on the hosted explorer, I'll look into that here shortly, I'm just getting a new computer setup at my new office, so I don't have all of my tools installed quite yet. Give me a few minutes on that and I'll restart that system, and potentially provide it some more power from the hypervisor to prevent lag and such in the future. Thanks! As far as alttech.chat goes... if anyone is having issues logging in, please remember that USERNAMES AND PASSWORDS ARE CASE SENSITIVE. If you're still having issues, simply messsage me with the email address you used to sign up, and I can manually reset your password. I simply haven't configured the email password reset feature yet. That is low on my priority list at the moment. Thanks!

Hello all, please don't panic! heh. I've been really busy the last week with some family stuff and getting into the new position I'm in at the new company I'm working for... BUT... there is some VERY exciting stuff we're working on now on the testnet, that vbcs has done... that truly blew my mind, we're working out the details of how we're going to work things... but I've got a pretty good idea as of right now. Also, Skerberus has pushed some updates to the wallet, that should fix some bugs that people have been seeing. you can see those pushes here... https://github.com/Qoracoin/Qora/tree/master/Qora11 days ago these were completed. There is quite a bit going on, and I simply don't have the time right now to explain it all, but I'll be giving a hint as far as what we've got that is new development here shortly. I'm thinking also, about how we're going to run these things in the future, and I've got a really solid idea of how we're going to work QORA and QORA 2.0, and I'll be writing up another paper about this, and posting the roadmap on the http://qora.press site as soon as possible. But yea, don't worry, don't panic, nothing bad is happening if you don't see posts from me on a daily. I'm simply doing a lot and there's always a focus on QORA in what I do. I see a truly long-term setup for QORA and 2.0, and it is becoming more and more clear on a daily basis as far as how everything will work together, and the functionality of each individual aspect. QORA, I believe, we can start viewing as a 'prototyping and exchange' platform, which we will use to develop many other exciting projects like the new one from vbcs I'll be showing people shortly. QORA is so awesome, that all of its features and amazing ability cannot be simply contained on a single chain. heh. So you'll see QORA spawn some extremely exciting new projects here soon, not to mention QORA 2.0. We will focus a lot on the QrowdFund platform too, and still get a nice mobile and web wallet completed, while finding new ways to make use of the current QORA as it sits. We will definitely be increasing the cap of QORA, and providing a nice return for mining when we switch the algo. That is all for now, I'll post more shortly! Thanks!

This is good to see Burst on another exchange site. The more exchanges Burst is on the better for the coin and gives people more options to buy and sell Burst coins. Burst is holding strong at above 100 sats which is good to see and that's what I was hoping for. Once more updates and developments are released will see the price rise some more and maybe this time it can hit 200 sats and hold at that price. The future looks bright at Burst and it's still a good buying opportunity at these low levels. Absolutely agree. There is a large increase in the network as well. Mining power increase also. I haven't even started with my next massive project... heh. I'm going to be building a 2-3 PetaByte BURST farm, and likely offering hosted mining, that will come later but the farm will be built to back BSILVER asset and other assets that I run, as well as to support the network and help beef it up to make 51% attacks much harder. I'm in contact with a mathematician who will likely be working up a whitepaper for us so that we can get into the eyes of the super-techies as the stable awesome project that BURST is. Also, some truly amazing developments on QORA side of things as well. Excitement about that for sure, I'll post more about that in the QORA thread.

Waiting for correction to 115 sat.. But hell, evereday down n down..what happened burst??
The price went up 5x, then leveled out about 3x what it was 2 months ago, I call this a success. Much more coming in the near future, take this as an opportunity to buy at the lows, I know I have. But please, this thread is for development announcements, please take normal convos over to the other thread posted above, or our BURST forums. Thanks! very much so success, also tech is solid, also energy (power to drive mining is super low) congratulations man, selling nothing.. syncing wallet to make sure balance checks out, I predict powerful spike (in price) here over time noticed big time "wallet" balances movement here from several mill to few of mills more, not in great amounts but a few.. I did not want to take a chance (when there was supposed pump..) and sell (for the standard re-purchase) as price could go much higher . but it is ok it is alrite.. what ya have going for ya.. and it is HUGE is technology innovation, drives are awfully low on energy to power and you abs beat SHA-256. as simple as that (in that regard) if someone can (from the cryptographic community and said that before) verify algorithmic complexity of your algo you are going sky high I have recently connected with a mathematician who will be helping us to go over the algo and write a 'proper' whitepaper, we also have access to some of the world's best developers as well, who are active, developing things for our projects. It is really truly exciting. I've also got another mathematician who will potentially be assisting the creation of a whitepaper, so we have that covered I think. Also, there are a few nuances that we would like to change, so we're developing PoC2 algo, as well as a few other algos for QORA and QORA 2.0, which will also be low-power, and will offer the ability to viably mine on mobile devices. The main difference that we're going for here, is directly attacking the 'mainstream', allowing them to make use of our services, and invest with us, while at the same time providing a solution to the current situation in the system, that will be massively taken advantage of here in the near future. I've been reaching out to various other crypto groups as well, providing options for collaboration, and getting our overall structure and team growing. Things are indeed looking quite good, and I'm very happy to see everything that is happening now, and this is still very early in the scope of the long-term for BURST/QORA/KORE and all of our related projects. Thank you for your support, and please pass along any information to your friends, family, etc... and keep our community growing!

Ya, seems the dev v2 pool is also stuck/forked... Is pool software the root cause? Or does this forking issue lie within the Burst protocol? I would think developing/updating "new pool software" as a work-around for a deeper issue is the wrong approach to take here, especially since most pool miners would then be incentivised to mine on said pool, which doesn't help at all with decentralization.
I'm solo mining, and since 1.2.6 came out my main burst client (that I mine against) was on a fork 4 times. I run another named burst client to support the network, without local miners, it got forked once. Interestingly, my database folders contain a " burst.mv.db" of 7 - 9 GBytes (9 right after syncing, shrinking to ~7 after a few hours). The downloaded db.zip contains a "burst.h2.db" of ~3,5 GByte. I always sync from the network and pulled the file out of curiosity, and did not start a wallet with it yet. Why the different naming and size ? IIRC it has something to do with the way the multithreaded wallet handles the db. Also @includebeer - we are currently unable to figure out the 'root cause' of the issues, but they lie within the wallet. Interestingly, they seem to not happen unless there's a miner or a bunch pointed at the wallets. We resolved the fork issue with a use of the older burst.jar from 1.2.3 version. These are temp fixes until we can re-make the error for the devs and have them fix the actual issue. The new pool software will be available to everyone, so the issue with decentralization is a non-issue. The pool software is to alleviate the load on the wallets so that the issue doesn't rear its head in production environment, while at the same time we resolve the actual issue. So far, the devs haven't been able to recreate the problem since it only seems to happen on pool wallets. We're open to any ideas from anyone as far as what the 'real issue' could be. As far as i'm concerned it has to have something to do with the multithreading that was added to the wallet, as it only started doing it after that. But since it is seemingly random, and we're not able to reproduce it on a testnet, we're setting up some workarounds for now, while we investigate the issue further. I personally don't think there's an issue with the way we're going about it whatsoever.

There are some fixes in place temporarily that seem to have ceased the forking issues that we were seeing.
The wallets do sometimes though, under heavy load, get 'stuck' and require a restart.
We are building new pool software to sort this issue out. But the forking should have been solved a few weeks back, I don't think any of the pools have actually forked since this fix was applied.
I was very busy the last few days, so the sole responsibility was on haitch to handle any pool issues, and for a time there, there weren't any.
I also know that he DOES have emails setup to go off when a pool is having an issue, or marked as 'forked' by the monitor. So that's already there, the only issue is that there are only two of us with access to ninja's root, and so it's on one of us to handle the issues when they arise. I myself was like I said very busy, so it was on solely haitch. If it hadn't been for him fixing the issues, they'd have been happening even longer.
The new pool software should be finished fairly soon, and I believe it is undergoing live testing as we speak. This will distribute the load on the wallets, and help out with the stalling issues we've been seeing, even after the fork issues were handled.
Thanks!
I've got more news, but I'll likely be posting that in a day or two, still catching up from the long family weekend. Hope all is well!
