541  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How many consecutive looses can you handle in trading? on: August 20, 2021, 11:27:32 PM
I can't count them all, I can have as much as losses as I can but it all depends on the budget. As long as I've got that budget that's already dedicated to trading, it's all up to how many times it can go. But if being in my mood and I think that I've had enough already with my trades, that's when I'm going to stop whether it's just 1 or 2 losses then I'll be stopping. Then if I keep on winning, I might stop too and just take it as the day, just as the same when I've got enough.

In this market, really hard to count all the losses that you have. As the market can change in seconds, you can lose fast in that time period. So it is actually hard to identify those points especially if you have no reference. Unless, your only reference is the price where you bought it. Then, it is easy to identify whether you lose or not in the trading as you compare it to your buying price. But in general, hard to count as we trade a lot of times and that is hard to track.
542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Polkadot and Uniswap Survive? on: August 19, 2021, 11:34:00 PM
Polkadot and Uniswap are coins with a transaction value of billions of dollars per day and this indicates a lot of investors are investing and trading. With such a daily transaction value, I think both tokens will last as long as they are able to maintain their project performance

They need to continuously innovate to adapt what is the current trend in the market. Because if they will not add or improve their features, they will be left behind by new platforms with better technology. Also, as the fees is the major consideration of most traders, they always need to be competitive in fees or else, these users will easily jump off to other network like what is happening now, a lot are moving to BSC network.
543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Liquid exchange hacked to the tune of $80 million on: August 19, 2021, 10:00:42 PM
I'm surprised that there's another exchange hack, haven they learned anything from Bitfinex and Etherdelta hack?

If the exchange is faking the hack then I wouldn't be surprised mostly if it's a dead exchange and people had money on it for over a month which is a lot of time to trust a source with your money when you don't know them in real life.

My conclusions would be the following if I had money on the website would be - Forget there's any money I own that is on that exchange.
Also, the exchange said they will inform the users but it's uncertain if they will get their money back.

This is the reason why it is really good to trade or leave funds in the exchange with insurance like Binance. So even if there will be hacking or any problem, you know, you can still get your money back. Unlike with this situation, the traders with funds on this exchange will have no assurance if they can get it back or when they will get it back. Inside job also is one of the common reasons why an exchange can easily become vulnerable to this kind of catastrophe.
544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The houses always win, are you the house or the gambler? on: August 18, 2021, 11:53:14 PM
Of course the casinos will have an edge in their games, why would any company over free money? But even if our winning chance is below 50% it is not 0%. So why are we idiots if we like gambling? Just don't go in with the expectations of winning a lot of money. It is more likely that we are losing than winning in gambling, but we still have the chance to win. Putting our money in a savings account won't give us any real return. At least with gambling we have a chance for a nice pay day.
Many people think it is unfair but that is just the way it works, look at any product that you have ever bought, do you think you bought that product at the price that it took to produce it? Of course not, you paid a premium for the product as you are unable to make it by yourself and the same is true for the services you are sold, and gambling is not an exception to this as the owners of the casino need to earn some money and they give themselves an edge on their games.

Gambling business is thriving because of what they are. Their system has been established already and there's no more questioning about their house edge or what not. Now, as a player/gambler, it is your choice if you want to be slave of gambling or not. Or just a moderate player who knows his limits. It is always your choice how to live your life with gambling.
545  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Strategies changes with time on: August 18, 2021, 10:41:14 PM
Trading Strategies are not constant , it changes with time. If we think the particular method we were taught in the early stages during trading will still work for the market over time, we may keep on losing because the market changes with time. One particular strategy of trading can't be use all the time.
Another reason why our strategies need to change and we need to update them is that we change as well, at the beginning you may have concentrated on earning profits no matter what but once you achieve a certain level of wealth thanks to that strategy then it does not make sense to keep taking so many risks when now a more conservative strategy makes more sense for you.

Also as we grow as investors and we get more knowledge we can realize that we could have made some mistakes in the past and we need to find a way to correct them and in many instances the best way to do this is by creating a new strategy that addresses those mistakes.

Another thing is that, every alt has their own performance in the market. You need to keep up with their developments, in order for you to have a grasp on what's going on with their market performance. There are reasons why they suddenly pump or are declining. You can get insights from their social medial channels. Because you can't expect them to post updates in their respective threads in the forum, if there's any.
546  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🔥NEW game CRYPTOS release 🔥 |⚡️Free BTC+BNB| 📈HotBit listing on: August 18, 2021, 10:37:32 AM
Just to change topic here. If anyone noticed that bitcoin has 2 options now - native and the BSC network

However, I was hoping that they will reduce their withdrawal fees because a lot of casinos already significantly reduced their fees and also with the integration of BSC network. But the fees are still the same for fast and slow transactions.
547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Exposed to children on: August 18, 2021, 03:31:46 AM

The ultimate thing that they shouldn't even do is that they shouldn't even let the children hold gadgets that doesn't help them in their formative years because whether we don't like it or like, those formative spent on gadgets is going to retard the growth of the mind of the children.

At this point in time, we can't do that the world is in pandemic and many countries are on lockdown, so the classes are held online children are now using gadgets just to go online, and since they cannot go out to play, they have nothing to go to but their gadgets to play on their favorite gaming sites, to watch their favorite artist on Youtube, gadgets are part of growing up of kids now.

Yes, it is. With this pandemic, children are now more into gadgets because that's the only means for now. Unfortunately. But even with this situation, the parents should still be responsible with their kids about the limits of usage of electronic gadgets. Because if not, kids will always be kids and they will play as long as they want. They still need supervision. Parents should also be open for discussion when it comes to gambling games.
548  Economy / Gambling / Re: Tothemoon.casino: List of Crypto Casino’s with Live MoonTravel/BTC Calc. 🚀🌕 on: August 17, 2021, 11:53:54 PM
Wow! At least, we have idea the approximate trip to the moon. And with that price tag, guess only the super rich can afford such trip. But this will be a good base point for those who are really looking forward into this once in a lifetime event. Who knows, in the next coming years, the price will be much lower as like right now, there will be commercial flights in space very soon.
549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do any casinos offer cryptocurrency staking? on: August 17, 2021, 10:35:58 PM
I wonder why we don't see more of these smaller exchanges offering casino games too, could be something to add to their model
kucoin has something like that if I'm not wrong
do you know if this is correct?
some kind of betting and games part

and the closes we have are prediction markets on FTX but totally different thing

Have you checked the exchange crex24? They have games like dice, slots, bitcoin of fortune and others. They don't have not so good reputation from the forum but for all the years that I have used this exchange, just smaller trades, I haven't encountered any trouble. So I can't say anything bad to them. They also have investbox where you can stake different alts.
550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: FullBunny.network - The #1 Crowdfunding dApp and Dividends Token. on: August 17, 2021, 03:08:56 PM
Crowdfunding platform is not new in crypto. However, I haven't seen one that is really successful in this venture. Maybe, people are still familiar with fiat-based crowdfunding like GoFundMe and not many people are familiar with crypto-based crowdfunding platform. And now, it is becoming decentralized. This will be a great app if in case they can materialize things here. Good luck!
551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: August 17, 2021, 01:42:31 PM
And Casimero did a better job than Donaire on fighting Rigo. Though they are both younger at that time but their style did not change so i believe that if ever Casimero and Donaire meet in the near future, Casimero has the edge, just my thought.

As per Sean Gibbons, the president of MP Promotions who handles Casimero, the latter won't be going home in the Philippines and after a short rest Casimero will hit the gym for a fight this November or December against an unknown foe but most likely it would be against Donaire.
Well, based on what he showed, I think that a Donaire vs Casimero bout should be happening because Casimero in my opinion is ready to do the fight. That's a bit early to be sure that it's going to be Donaire, I mean there's still a lot of fighter out there that might fit the bill. But I do hope that it's Donaire because a lot of sports magazine wants this to happen.

Or Inoue for that matter. I don't know if Donaire will still fight Casimero after the drama. But Casimero said, Donaire and Inoue are the next possible opponents as Rigo is already down. But both camps are still mum if they will indeed face Casimero inside the ring.

Now, maybe it is time to lock this thread.  Wink
552  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cryptocurrencies price and their effect on gambling industry on: August 17, 2021, 12:21:00 PM
I would expect gamblers to be more willing to gamble with their coins when the bitcoin price is low. Sure when the price higher we can also make more money with gambling, but we are always at risk to lose out on another price increase.

Didn't seeing it that way as whatever the price, gamblers are gamblers. The betting style is just the same especially for those who are relying on USD value like in other gambling sites where you can base your bet on USD value but with the use of your current crypto.

We are in bullish and bearish many times and gambling activity just grows. It means even in a bullish trend, people won't stop doing gambling.

Crypto prices have been very volatile for a long time, so I agree that gamblers will continue to gamble whether they are bullish or bearish.
I still play gambling regularly once a week, whether the market is going up or down. This means that crypto prices do not affect the gambling
industry, we as gamblers will still use capital that comes from fiat, but we will convert according to the current crypto price when gambling.

As said above, I noticed also that one of the platforms that thrive throughout the journey of crypto is gambling. Remember when there was price crash last 2018, some of the casinos are still up today like freebitco or primedice. They already surpassed a lot of up and down movements in the market, and yet they managed to survive.
553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 17, 2021, 07:01:25 AM
As a champion, they want a big fight and now, it is a blessing in disguise for him because they did not expect the blessing will come out early. He is not an undefeated fighter, no record to protect, but to fight with the one and only 8th-time world champion, that's a privilege and it's a big success if he wins.
I agree, this match is more of an opportunity for Ugas. If he managed to beat Pacquiao then that he'll set the record and as well as going to increase his rank because he has defeated Pacquiao who is very popular and one of the best boxers in the world. It is truly a blessing in disguise for him and we just wish both of them to fight at their full capacity despite the changes that have happened with those changes that have given them a little timeframe of preparation, honestly, they've been prepared for so long just for their own matches.

If you happen to watch the reaction of Ugas team after learning that he will fight with Pacquiao, they were celebrating like they are about to go to the party. Grin Indeed, this will be a big break for Ugas, if in case he will win over Pacquiao. But am rooting for Pacquaio here. Given the age that they are considering about the major factor that may influence his perfomance, but it also depends on how well he trained for the fight. And I think, he really did train hard because he thought he will be facing Spence Jr.
554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: NMX Nominex token on: August 16, 2021, 11:41:16 PM
How could someone manipulate the price so easily? This could be due to the reduced market interest in the NMX token, more good news is needed to raise the price.
Why is the Nominex team not so active in adding new tokens to their exchange? wouldn't adding new tokens in the exchange attract new traders and increase users and trading volume?

Addition of new tokens with good foundation would be good to add more interest from traders. I'm keeping tab also with their developments as I'm holder of NMX tokens owed to their bounty program. Wondering why there is continuous slide on its price considering that btc is doing good in the market. Maybe some farmers are pulling out their tokens and selling it???
555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypto Island Group | $CISLE | We buy the world's 1st crypto island ★★★★★ on: August 16, 2021, 10:44:51 PM
Do you have ownership of the island already? Or it depends on how many will buy your token? Which specific island are you looking to purchase here? Do you think you can realize this mission even if in case you haven't gotten the target funds from your sale?
556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taxes on gambling send the right message? on: August 16, 2021, 09:13:13 PM

But what I know is that people that know about cryptocurrency's gambling site will see it attractive as no tax may be paid.

You don't think that a country that legalize cryptocreency use will always put an eyes in every aspect that has something doing with cryptocreency including gambling especially when tax is followed up too. I think it will and the management of the business will be taxed if the gamblers can't be made to pay for winnings.

Gamblers and gambling operators have different tax liabilities, and they do process the filing separately, however, if the regulators will direct the casinos to be withholding tax agents, then they can withheld taxes from the gamblers' winnings and gambling will not need to worry in filing the tax.

I think what Oshosondy was trying to say is that crypto gambling sites may not be paying taxes, so it is an attractive opportunity. I believe for those who don't have any gambling license, or any type of business registration, they are not paying any taxes. However, without gambling license, it would take time for the site to earn credibility from the gambling community.
557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFT games also another way to gamble your money? on: August 15, 2021, 11:58:32 PM
Axie Infinity has been on the top of it when it comes to Return on Investment. So you should hold this coin for long term prospective.

You won't reach your ROI and profit if you will just hold. AXS should be spent so the circulation will be healthy.

Their in-game currency SLP is the one that shouldn't be sold always as there's no other way of burning it aside from the breeding part of the game. That token has infinite supply so their community should also help to balance the SLP spendings while devs are working on other ways to use that token in-game.

I have looked into Axie, and buying their Axies is no joke. I just hope that the price of their items is really justified by how it will turn out in the next coming years. The worry about its longevity in the market is always there. So joining this kind of game, you should know the repercussions and possible turn out of events. In a way, this is already a gamble for the player.
558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting on the Paralympic Games? Ethical or not? on: August 15, 2021, 11:22:56 PM
It depends on your perspective; for me, there's nothing wrong with betting on paralympic games because it's still a sport, and even if people didn't gamble, they'd still determine who would win and compare themselves. I don't think it's disrespectful since they're doing it for the love of the sport or for the money, and we can wager on these games as well. Treat them like regular people, and you'll have no problems since we're all the same; our differences are merely handicaps. They can succeed in what they're doing, just as we can.

That's right. It all depends on how you look at things here. They are like any other sports out there. We bet, they play, no harm done. Unless, you are making fun of them, that's a different discussion. So for me, there's nothing unethical to bet on their games. I guess, they will like it also because they feel important if someone is betting on them to win the game.
559  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔮 Futuur - Predict the Future! 🔮 on: August 15, 2021, 10:06:46 PM
I hope the leaderboard Update with real cryptocurrency earnings, not Ooms. So people can really know how many players are with the real players on the website.

<snip>
Maybe Futuur should make separate leaderboard and rewards for those players who placed bet using Ooms or a real money, so they can reward them for what they'd staked. If they bet real money, then it's more likely that they deserve rewards that they can use to grow their funds.

I agree with you here. And those players using real coin will be encouraged to bet more if there is some sort of reward or bonus to them. Because right now, the leaderboard in Ooms doesn't matter much as we know it is just play money on the site. They are already spending money with the maintenance itself of the site, so the futuur team should take advantage of their opportunity to increase their regular players. Otherwise, we will see another betting site gone.
560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympics 2020/2021 : Discussion & Predictions on: August 14, 2021, 11:55:39 PM
But unfortunately, the country received zero benefit from hosting the Games. The spectators were not allowed, and that meant that there was no boost for the tourism sector as well.

Not zero at all. However, it's expected that there should be more of it if the pandemic didn't hit the world.

Unfortunate timing after several years of waiting to become a country host.

Even With No Tourists or Fans, Japan Is Already Seeing Economic Benefits From the $15.4 Billion Tokyo Olympics

Amid the pandemic, the country affords to spend that amount without harming their other financial aspects.

I think in the modern world the amount of $ 14.5 billion is simply ridiculous on the scale of almost any country, and as you know Japan is one of the most highly developed countries. I doubt that this profit outweighed the risk of spreading covid that the country received during the Olympics.

But their effort of completing this event is highly commendable despite of the odds they encountered due to the pandemic. Just be glad that they made it and offered the athletes and the community that we all deserved during these challenging times. Yes, there were so many controversies but they stood their ground and completed this event during these turmoil times.

As discussed in the above article, construction industry, specifically benefited from this event. The National stadium and other venues built costing them billions of dollars can still be used for other future events. So for me, that's not a loss at all. They can easily recover the amount used in the next few years of using those venues.
