1261  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How do you choose the best exchange for crypto trading? on: October 28, 2020, 02:50:57 PM

If you are in this forum for awhile and have read users suggesting binance because they are trusted, its likely that you will also be signing up an account to binance.
For the bounty hunters case, it vary to which exchange their reward tokens are going to be listed. When the token is listed to many exchanges including binance, there'd be no reason to sign up for an account elsewhere.

One reason that I am confident using Binance is their SAFU (https://academy.binance.com/en/glossary/secure-asset-fund-for-users). So no matter what, they can always replace your funds in case hacking happened. Also, what I like about this exchange is the liquidity, you don't have to wait for hours or days just to complete your order and their withdrawal fees are relatively cheaper than other exchanges. But of course, if the coin or token is not available in this exchange, you can use other exchanges, but make sure to withdraw your funds as soon as you finished the trading.
1262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]Gchain : Games Assets Interact Blockchain - Powering Games economy on: October 27, 2020, 11:46:54 PM
Another busted project for using fake profiles. That is one warning signal that the team is not sincere in deploying this project. Easy to run away if they are not disclosing their real team members. But luckily, people here are fast enough to spot these scam projects. This will die soon and the team will not come again. But hoping they will not create another scam project.
1263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AUDIO massive pump after surprise Binance support on: October 27, 2020, 10:17:24 PM
'Binance's support' can only pump a coin/token for the meantime, but it'll most likely dump, just like in this case. Their support alone cannot keep a coins value up for too long, it could give it hype and all, but if you invest at the wrong time when the hype vanishes, then you will make no ROI and lose your funds invested, that's why many users consider altcoins as short term Investments to play around with, and withdraw profits Asap.

If this AUDIO coin will be relying on only Binance support and hype, then I don't consider it a good investment, it could more or less be another pump and dump coin, so investors need to be careful with projects they invest their funds in such as this one.

They should have active platform also. If they will take advantage of the Binance support and fast track their developments, maybe they can sustain the market. But if not, once Binance is finished with their endorsements, this will die just like other coins. I'm not regretting that I didn't get the chance to get some AUDIO coins, because if I will jump onboard, maybe it's too late to earn profits. So visit them couple of months from now, and let's see how they are doing in the market.
1264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 📢[ANN][PRESALE] Base Protocol: HOLD ONE TOKEN - HOLD ALL TOKENS | [BASE] 🚀🚀 on: October 27, 2020, 11:06:34 AM
Past failed project aside, I'd like to know how you peg your token price at total crypto marketcap. Basically this project is a stablecoin, right? So what procedure do you take to stabilize your token at the said pegged price?

Second, which platform do you use to determine the total crypto marketcap to peg this token's price?

Interesting question here.

If they will based from https://coinmarketcap.com/ today the global crypto market cap is about $397.77B, so if in case you will take into account the current rate in CMC, their Base token will have a value of about $0.397. But can they really keep this value once their token is already in exchanges? What are their protocols to keep their value in exchanges be pegged to this price?
1265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you invested for Attractive projects?? on: October 26, 2020, 11:36:40 PM
I will not focused too much in graphic and these kind of stuff since you're not trying to buy a "brand" but most of times you're focused on innovation that a token could bring.
Choosing a new project it's a mixing of several factors, and isn't easy at all make any decision, since any project could fail for a lot of reason.
Roadmap could help to understand how they want organize their work for the upcoming months/years.
Milestones allow to track easily what they have achieved, and if they are on track.
Whitepaper could provide a good overview about the final product, but as I have already said, the final "value" it's just a mixing of several factors.

With all the factors that we need to check about the project, in my opinion, the important one is if they will have working platform after all these whitepaper, roadmap, plans that they provided to the community. Because a lot of them are good in planning but the actual implementation is poor. Or they can have a very comprehensive whitepaper, and yet they fail to realize those objectives. So for me, if they have active platform with users, I guess that's one good signal that they can survive amidst the tough competition in crypto market.
1266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]OntoSwap - The First Cross-Chain Decentralized Exchange built on Ontology on: October 26, 2020, 12:34:37 PM
We are indeed the actual team of ONTOSWAP which can be verified from the Ontology Team but thanks to qwertyup23 & his team of experts we have averted from a major disaster.
You got tagged for being busted on using fake account thats pretty red flag over here in the forum. That explains something and if you want to prove yourself, the only resolve to this I guess is an actual confirmation from ontology network or any kind of proof that ontoswap is part of the ontology network strategic partners. Well if you can show this maybe your direction could change, since there is an accusation of using fake name which really make a bad move on your part.

I can give benefit of the doubt if otherwise this can be proven at least. Cause investor's trust mainly rely on how you demonstrate transparency.

No response from the team up until now. So the accusations may be true if they will not come back here and clarify things. Because if what they are claiming is authentic at all angles, they will give effort to remove the doubt from the users here and provide proofs. If they will stay silent, then, we all know what that means.

1268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why didn't PayPal decided to use xrp than Bitcoin? on: October 24, 2020, 11:49:28 PM
You might not be crucified for this but you might be stoned to death. Grin

By the way, are you serious or just trolling? If you are serious then you are definitely be worth burning at the stake. To be honest, though, I think Ripple deserves the spot taken by Bitcoin Cash. Paypal is adding Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash aside from Bitcoin. Ethereum, Litecoin, and Ripple could have been a better list.

I will agree with this. Ripple instead of BitcoinCash.

For faster transactions, XRP is a better choice compared to BTC but I also have no idea why the Paypal team has preferred BTC over XRP.

BTC is the most famous cryptocurrency, and even noncrypto users can identify bitcoin as crypto. Who knows, PayPal will add XRP later on? It is not the case that only 4 cryptocurrencies will be accepted forever. Adding is easier especially if they see the alt's advantage in terms of transaction aspect of things.
1269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 24 eth instead of 24 usdt....What Will You Do If.......? on: October 24, 2020, 09:26:58 PM
To be honest I am definitely tempted by 24 ETH, and I will consider it mine. But if the exchanges ask me to return it,
I will do it. Because from the start it was not my right. But I won't refund if not asked, I know what I did wrong.
But on the other hand it's a pretty big amount of money, and I'm just an ordinary human who has greed too.

99% of us people wont really return this money for sure. This is indeed a big money on where most people cant really even earn for sometime no matter how hard they do their 8-5 jobs.

It might be sound harsh but people are naturally greedy and theres no way that people cant just easily slip that big amount into their hands which they would rather consider it as a blessing instead.

I highly doubt to those people who do tell that they would return the amount that had been accidentally been sent out but when you are in the actual situation then i would say that honesty will really be in big question.

Lol  Don't lose hope for humanity brow. There are good people still, it may bve hard to beleive but deep down inside these people there is a good intention to return back the coins. Circumstances though can change minds of individuals, there is the need to weigh-in for them whether to return or not. Its tempting because its a big amount.

I still believe that the good side of humanity still exists. If you are a person that had upbringing of sticking to your principles no matter what the circumstances are laid onto you, I believe you will do the right thing. Because you can't live from that money that you know is not yours. It is better to live a modest life rather than live in a semi-comfortable one that you know it is not your hard-earned money. So basically, your principles in life here is really tested.
1270  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Terror Attack Related With Bitcoin - INDIA on: October 23, 2020, 11:53:17 PM
I am sorry to hear that. I wonder how much the media, government officials will blame bitcoin for this. I am sure there will be a lot of outrage towards bitcoin at the end of it all.

a part of me can't help but wonder what if this could just be a ploy in order to push through the banning of cryptocurrency in India? I know that the thought is baseless but it wouldn't be the first time a government official or someone with enough money would have done something like this.

Another news that will highlight the use of bitcoin in terrorism. This is sad news as they will use this as another example not to be pro-crypto. And this is not good news from all crypto users coming from this country. A lot of them are earning income during this pandemic. Thanks to bitcoin. But hopefully, their government will understand the situation and how crypto will change more lives rather than destroy them.
1271  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Rather learn to trade by yourself on: October 23, 2020, 10:29:37 PM
Many people today want to get instant profit from trading, so many use copy trades or trading bots to get passive income from trading.
Even though the fact is that making profit from trading is not that easy, many things can cause market prices to change drastically.
Therefore it is safer to trade manually with our own analytical skills, so don't be lazy to learn to trade. As most of the successful traders
I know, they prefer to trade themselves rather than trust trading signals from other people. Usually, if we do the analysis ourselves it is
much more accurate, because we are more serious about analyzing the market to be able to generate profits.

Trading manually is a good start to fully understand the market. You can also gain insights about the behaviour of new coins. By experience, you can also spot alts that are only pump and dump and with no use case to move forward. You will know how to avoid those coins. Because once you got caught in the middle, you will be left as bag holder of crap coins. But manual trading takes a lot of your time and patience because you really need to know what's happening in each of them, development-wise, so you know where they are heading. And if there's nothin in it, you will get the impression also. So for me, if you do have time, better learn the tricks and tips because in time, it will pay off.
1272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [EREX] EREXCOIN - SHA256 - POW - EREX EXCHANGE on: October 22, 2020, 11:40:40 PM
Erex Exchange does not manage the development of Erexcoin, we manage the platform. We use third party services. We have paid for this service, we have received the final source code and are filling the wallets. According to the last information we have the developer turned to SHA-256.

then .. honestly .. charge the money back.  Roll Eyes

With different sets of developers, seems that erexcoin or erex exchange has very poor progress in terms of development. How can you attract users to get on board with erex coin if the exchange itself is not making waves in the market? I think the success of both camps will go hand in hand. If one project is doing good, they will lift the other. But in this case, both need a miracle touch to survive in crypto market.
1273  Economy / Economics / Re: Are the Central Banks starting to worry about the public's perception? on: October 22, 2020, 10:35:06 PM
They do not see it as a "threat" per se, because they can use it just like you and me. It could be decentralized and maybe they won't have the chance to have a power over it like they have power over fiat, they can't be bailed out neither because nobody can print more bitcoins to help them out, all of these are bad for banks and I understand why they would want something better suited for them.

However one thing is true, if you can make money from bitcoin, so they can, there is nothing stopping a bank to buy a billion dollars worth of bitcoin, which is why I think they are not worried all that much. Obviously they wouldn't prefer this, but they do not see it as a threat neither, they see this more like a inconvenience to their already working system to make them richer.
I disagree, they do see it as a threat, maybe not right now but they see the potential of the technology and they know they could be against their most fierce adversary yet, and just to show you how this can become true, banks charge a fee for many transactions, some are free but the major ones cost money and they take a percentage out of it, in the case of bitcoin the cost of the transaction will depend on how much you want to pay but the bigger the amount you want to move the cheaper it becomes and eventually a point is reached in which moving your money in bitcoin is the cheaper alternative.

Meaning that a wealthy person trying to make a transaction or simply move his money from one address to another will find this to be cheaper on bitcoin than in a bank and people for the most part will always choose the cheaper option which means that if bitcoin gets enough adoption people will begin to send more money through bitcoin than with banks and they cannot allow this to happen.

I believe this one factor is one benefit of crypto, transferring from one wallet to another will incur minimal fee as compared to using banks or other traditional remittance centers. I have seen that in some countries, the usage of crypto is more on remittance purposes. Some find out that sending money to their family via crypto is very favourable as they are not paying high transaction fees. And it doesn't matter if you will send good amount of money or not. And then from the other end of the world, what your family can do is just exchange the crypto to their local fiat. A lot of crypto exchanges are already offering the conversion of crypto to your local fiat. Just make sure to find a legit site. So I believe, banks don't like that because they can't charge high fees anymore if crypto will become mainstream.
1274  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we back to the bull market? on: October 22, 2020, 08:48:14 PM
We broke the 13K and now we go for the 14K. Sounds great is what Bitcoiners have been waiting for a long time.
Bitcoin has disrupted money and will be with us forever no matter what others say.
Guys, enjoy your profits. Bitcoin returned with the price hitting ATH at $ 20,000 as in 2017.
This is good news that the bitcoin price broke the 13k level. The adoption in this industry is growing so indeed this is the most users waiting to happen and I believe more surprises to watch in crypto. So, seeing the status right now is giving a bullish market, in my own opinion.

Bitcoin is really doing great despite of the pandemic. And with the integration of crypto in PayPal, we will expect more adoption of crypto usage. If more and more institutions or merchants will start accepting crypto in their payment system, the adoption will indeed increase and so its demand in the market is very imminent. For those who don't believe the capability of bitcoin, maybe this is the time to change your stance towards btc and start educating themselves about the real benefits brought about by crypto. I think other countries which are still banning the usage of crypto will also change their position when it comes to crypto.
1275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BigDataCash(BDCASH | PoW PoS/MN ) - Storage Cloud with Blockchain [ ANN] on: October 22, 2020, 11:29:49 AM
BDCASH is now listed on Coinmarketcap.

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bigdatacash/

we are already visible in the search.
Nice to see bdcash got listed on coinmarketcap

I understand being listed in cmc is one accomplishment of the project, however, that's not really important when it comes to the actual development of the project. A lot of dead coins at one point have been listed in cmc or coingecko. Your roadmap is very broad. How are you going to achieve your main objective being storage cloud? How are you going to attract potential users and compete with reliable companies like Google? The usual problem with new company is if it can sustain its operations and the worry of their clients is that if one day, they shut down their site suddenly.
1276  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The acceptance of cryptocurrency worldwide on: October 21, 2020, 11:36:31 PM
Bitcoin transaction is secure and fast although Most the countries government  will not allow bitcoin or any decentralised coin as their currency because they don't have control on it and They are unable to  know the earning source and amount. As if bitcoin Is very secure so My bitcoins will be useless if I died and my family members or any of them cannot use it for them.So this process is not taking place.

Not all transactions made with bitcoin are secured. The acceptance of bitcoin worldwide is still a debate because of its volatility. Some countries accepts bitcoin as one of the payment method and currency for their living and some are not. Some side of the goverment does not want bitcoin to be legalized because it is taxless and they do not control it unlike what they can do with fiat currency.

But in some parts of the world, cryptocurrency remittance is already booming as they can send money to their family or relatives with very minimal tx fee via crypto, and their family can just convert their crypto to their local fiat.

If you will check the section in coindesk under remittance, you will read that there are already several local companies accepting crypto other than bitcoin, ripple in particular as part of remittance. I can agree with XRP as their tx fee is really really small as compared to sending your btc to these remittance companies.

https://www.coindesk.com/tag/remittance

This is one good benefit of crypto, transferring money worldwide is easy and will incur you very small fee as compared to using remittance services like WU.
1277  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price has surpassed $12k!!! on: October 21, 2020, 07:39:16 PM
That Paypal news doing wonders right now, looks like it was the catalyst to the next massive surge in price (paypal giving a small bump to btc, ironic  Roll Eyes

Earlier today, there was a 700 BTC buy wall at $13.000 on Bitstamp...Currently, it's 303 BTC  Shocked   so we'll see 13k pretty soon..choo choo∿ it's the bullish train, choo choo∿

Yes, remember the freezing of paypal accounts before owed to dealing with cryptocurrency transactions.

http://themonetaryfuture.blogspot.com/2011/05/paypal-freezes-accounts-of-two-bitcoin.html

And now, they changed their stance to bitcoin/crypto. Wonder what is the response of those individuals or companies affected by strict regulations towards crypto in the past years?

PayPal allows Bitcoin and crypto spending - https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-54630283

https://www.reuters.com/article/paypal-cryptocurrency/update-1-paypal-to-open-up-network-to-cryptocurrencies-idUSL1N2HC0PL

But in any case, it just shows that they are now recognizing crypto. Because crypto will exist even without their participation. So to get the market share in crypto, they need to accept it in their platform. If nothing else, this will drive more crypto adoption as PayPal has huge number of users.
1278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Mixer Penalized by FinCEN for Violating AML Law on: October 21, 2020, 11:34:47 AM
Do you guys remember what happened to Bestmixer.io? Their domain was seized by the Dutch authorities, and the funds were confiscated. I don't think that it is possible for Bitcoin mixers to exist publicly. They need to move their operations to the dark market. Otherwise, it is just a matter of time before the authorities seize the funds and arrest whoever operates the mixer.

Their last tweet that you can see from their account - https://twitter.com/bestmixer6?lang=en

But when you check the site mentioned, it is showing Apache 2 Test PAge. Seems that they are not successful in re-launching their business.

Bitcoin mixers should register their business in a more friendly crypto countries. I don't know what the government is thinking about asking KYC from bitcoin mixer's clients. Are they really ignorant about the purpose of bitcoin mixers? Have anyone heard a particular bitcoin mixer requiring KYC from their clients? I don't think so.
1279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some of the benefits of Bitcoin ... on: October 20, 2020, 11:54:31 PM
---The most significant thing in Bitcoin is decentralization and protection. It is these things, as I would like to think, that give Bitcoin its ubiquity and force
That is why Bitcoin is anti-mainstream, many of the innovations it provides can overcome various problems in the current financial system. multi-functional can be used as an investment tool, trading commodity, and alternative payment, although its adoption is still limited. With all these benefits, users can get security, confidentiality, and transaction transparency. Very effective, even though there are some obstacles that are afraid of many people such as high volatility. Doesn't everything have a risk? as long as we are able to adapt, we can certainly minimize the risk.

A lot of people are hesitant with bitcoin because of the usual reasoning of volatility and aside from that the duration/fee of transaction. But if they will use other alts like maybe xrp or doge as payment, they won't complain much about the volatility and tx duration. But the problem is, btc is the most popular crypto up until this day, so it is hard to introduce other coins to the mainstream consumption. But if more and more people and merchants will patronize the usage of btc as payment, I guess those volatility factors will not be a question anymore from the users.
1280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Gamee Token on: October 20, 2020, 10:13:51 PM
^I'm not part of the project, just sharing news about nfts/blockchain games i'm interested in..

Blockchain gaming will boom in the next coming years. Right now, they are already showing promising results in the gaming industry. I think gamers will be interested in blockchain gaming as you can earn tokens that can be exchanged to other coins like btc, in which, they can convert it to their fiat money. So I think this is one attraction in blockchain games, earning some coins/tokens which you can convert to valuable coins in the market, aside from enjoying your game and deploying your skills as a gamer. A lot of gamers are spending their money without getting anything in return, but with these blockchain games, they have the chance to earn money.
