1361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is Addictive...Pay Attention to your Gambling Habit!!! on: September 17, 2020, 10:07:58 PM
I also think that your friend should seek professional medication. Since it is addiction, and based on your narrative, it seems that he has a severe level of gambling addiction. Try convincing him to ask for help. And if you could also influence him to refrain from gambling for the mean time and focus on fixing his personal problems like his family issues first.

It will not be easy for him to quit gambling all at once. Maybe you have to tell him to spent less time on gambling initially and try to find other activities which are of his interest and keep him busy. It is not easy to come out of gambling addiction and perhaps he needs a long meditation before things get normalized with him.

He needs professional help because him alone will not resolve his addiction. He will always go back to his habit. Even advice from friends will be futile. It is easy to give piece of advice, but when it comes to actual implementation, his friend will go crazy. His level of addiction really needs a professional one to address his problem. Need to know the root cause of his habit and start from there.
1362  Economy / Speculation / Re: History shows Bitcoin price may take 3-12 months to finally break $20K on: September 16, 2020, 11:25:34 PM
These threads had been created in 2018 and do ask out or predict that we might reach out 20k but we havent able to achieve
on 3 years time which it normally shows that market cant really be predicted out neither if you do go ahead or even going back to past on making out
analysis.
Will Bitcoin ever be 20k again? Why or Why not?
Will Bitcoin hit 20k again
Can Bitcoin Make it back to $20k ?
What will help bitcoin reach 20k again?

On a very speculative market then expect for lots of speculative threads. lol

That's what crypto users wanted to read. How possible is that price level to achieve and when? They just want to get a lil bit of hope that we will reach the ATH again. It feels good to read those threads as you can read various speculations from everybody. So they are not tired of reading and creating similar threads.
1363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 【ANN】xHumanity 📌📌📌 Adaptive Social Media System 📌📌📌 on: September 16, 2020, 10:26:26 PM
I noticed you have no spectators nor critics here but you are already running bounty campaigns. What does it mean having no audience here? Is it a signal that your platform will not be a hit? Or maybe people already have had enough with these existing social media. And they don't need another one. Your team is big so I guess you just need to optimize their expertise to assist in promoting this project.
1364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: TigC is the next YFI on: September 16, 2020, 08:35:21 AM
I think this will be your advantage here over Uniswap. As eth gas fees is getting higher, this will be your competitive advantage. However, not many DeFis are built under Tron. So it will be your challenge to get projects here. What are your plans to combat this potential problem?

1365  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm thinking about trading. My name says it all. on: September 15, 2020, 10:28:46 PM
So I believe what I'm interested in is called "day trading". I have found numerous pros and cons regarding this method, but as I said, I want to engage in something on a daily basis, investing and holding on for a period of time is something I'm really not interested in.

I think you already did your assignment and knows well some of the risks you might encounter.

Since you are now aware of it and you also mentioned, already found the pros and cons of day trading. The time now to prepare yourself to do the real traders and not just by readings.

You will only know the result once you engage in actual. We can't give you the exact strategy you need to follow since it should be in your own way as we have different strategies. Goodluck is all I can say and you can update us here on your progress if you want.

Don't start big. Start small and have the actual experience first. Once you got the grasp of actual day trading, you can use more funds, if you are already convenient with it. But Coinbase and Binance are good exchanges as they have insurance in place also. So your funds are safe in those exchanges. While other exchanges don't have. Better be careful in trading with them and if possible, don't store your coins with exchanges.
1366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Breaking NEWS: SEC, Bitcoin now legal (a security) in Nigeria. on: September 15, 2020, 11:57:50 AM
This is good news overall. Regulations usually start out as stringent, especially if the one imposing them doesn't know much about what they are regulating yet. Eventually, as the government spots the areas that don't require regulating, the resistance will finally start to subside until it's easier for everyone.

I just realized that cryptocurrency is going through the same ordeal as "hemp". The plant is illegal in most parts of the world because of its psychoactive effect. I can't wait for governments to realize that they can get rid of the 1 substance causing the psychoactive effect and take advantage of the 99 other substances that have proven medical benefits.

Whatever it is that's scaring some governments from legalizing cryptocurrency is slowly diminishing. I just hope to see mass adoption in my lifetime.

The more they understand bitcoin or crypto, the more they will be accommodating with this technology. Even if they read all the articles pertaining to bitcoin, if they will not try it first hand, they will not understand the true benefits brought by cryptocurrency. So having bitcoin as legal in Nigeria is a very welcome progress. So these politicians can openly try dealing with bitcoin also, and see the good side of having this crypto.
1367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Elitium - A Digital Economy to Lead a Life of Independence, Value & Growth on: September 15, 2020, 08:37:03 AM
To be sure if I get them correctly, so instead of the whole continent like Europe or the whole country like USA, Asian market will be on selected countries based om the regulations? In your prediction, how will this affect the market preferences? Won't countries without the card "privileges" be hesitant to adopt your token as they're not that.... functional?

Doing business in the US is a very sporadic and timely process. Asia is easier to jump into and a lot of countries love the western paradigm their bringing to the table.

PLUS, it is easier to gain access to Asia when shipping cards globally. US is also a toughy unless you have a direct partnership with VISA or Mastercard, which very few have right now. It took Wirex only 6 YEARS to make this happen. For Elitium, it might be even sooner given how we've seen these fintech giants react to the markets.

Let's see first if they can conquer the market in Europe or USA, because once they are successful in those countries, expanding their network in Asia will be easy. We have seen a lot of these projects but their actual presence in the market is usually a failure. Not many users are actually using this crypto card. The mission is great but when it comes to implementation, is very hard to accomplish.
1368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Combine Finance - Best of Defi's | Presale in a week [ICO] on: September 14, 2020, 11:51:29 PM
I hate these hidden  presales and ICOS.. Nothing fly other than filing dev teams tummy..Things are shady when team do not come forward  but expecting people throw $$.
Doest it happen in real word.. anyone spend money when promoters are hidden ?

That's the fact we need to accept. But one thing we can do for sure, is not to fall from this scheme. Those naive buyers will learn their lesson later, once they realized they bought a bag of worthless tokens. So right now, with this DeFi hype, just make sure that you are spending your resources to the right one. Make effort on studying these projects before throwing your hard-earned money.
1369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sora (XOR) - The Decentralized Autonomous Economy on: September 14, 2020, 11:26:25 PM
It is nice to see that this project is soaring high. If you do really have actual applications in the market, you will survive. You have a lot of SORA projects already, are you by any chance exploring other businesses to venture with this coming year? Conquering more businesses will give you more reason to be valuable in the market.
1370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I can't wait until I can pay using bitcoin at the supermarket on: September 14, 2020, 10:35:59 PM
Whether you can wait or not, you have to. And it is far from possible that something like this will happen in the near future or will happen at all. By the way, in some countries, such as the Philippines, I think this innovation will be one of the first.
So all you need to do is move to another country. As for the more developed countries, banking and financial regulators cannot afford to let cryptocurrency into everyday life so easily.

So are you telling us that Philippines will have stores or shops that will directly accept bitcoin or crypto, no other third party involved?

I think the major hurdle when it comes to bitcoin transaction is if the store needs to wait at least 1 confirmation, so the customer should use higher fees to get it thru fast. Otherwise, he will be waiting for hours just to go thru his transaction. Or better yet, use other alts like xrp, which has very low tx fee and it is pretty fast as well.
1371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Former Ripple Executive Says Banks Need XRP After Global Settlement Platform Suf on: September 13, 2020, 11:51:11 PM
He's from Ripple although he's just a former anymore. But there were already plans from countries who are planning to use the technology of cryptocurrencies such as blockchain for payments.
They were reportedly on developments for another payment system but it's not going to be with XRP/Ripple's technology. But they have their very own source and that means they don't need XRP.

Banks may badly need blockchain technology, but yes, it doesn't mean they need the Ripple's technology. However, on the other note, I like ripple as one of the alts with very cheap tx fees and quite fast as well. Merchants or shops can utilise this alt as good alternative for btc. But when it comes to banks, I don't think so. As ripple is a centralized cryptocurrency, the owners of this coin will just amass wealth if the global banks will deploy their technology. It is better to use their own to be independent from this platform.
1372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] UCIFETH ⚡ Global Decentralize Network for Buy, Sell and Stake. ⚡ on: September 13, 2020, 11:18:49 PM
Is there hope for this project? With the negative trust of the OP, I don't think this project will survive. The trading movement in mcafeedex is almost non existent. I think the dev should forget this project and venture in a more valuable activity of his life. Just sayin..
1373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Meet Cypherium , the first... on: September 13, 2020, 10:38:25 PM
Back in early 2018 was Pre-sale Round 1 , price was 0.06 $ when they raise 24 mil $ and this year was Round 2 Pre-sale the price was 0.20 $( we don't know how much they raised yet, cuz Round 2 ended 9 days ago) And now is Public Sale ( as I know they didn't sold all the coins from Round 2) . More info about what they did in all this time u can get from this twitter https://twitter.com/Cryptomonarchic/status/1299016211460698113/photo/1
Btw, for sales on hoo labs is that included in public sale? or is other methode (mini ieo) because I saw they get fund 1.5 M $ (USDT) on 2x sale and I think that's quite a big fund.

If they already have the funds, why is it they are lazy to communicate with their supporters here? They should really be inspired in telling their community about the progress of their project throughout these years. This has long been overdue, I guess.

And are all partnerships real? Just wondering here.
1374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook and the 🌟 Star rewards. Is it the beginning of libra on: September 13, 2020, 07:09:43 PM
I think you jump into conclusion early about the idea, the way it is structure is to give creators something in return for their content, this is what helped Youtube to scale greatly, if this s successful then expect some content provider to move their content to Facebook because recently Youtube has been hostile to their users

This will be good news for real content creators. They have other platform other than YT to showcase what they've got and they will be earning also. Another venue to generate income and considering that it is the biggest social network today, this will be a great playground for these creators. But I don't think this is related with Libra.
1375  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Combine Finance scam on: September 12, 2020, 11:35:39 PM
^ It is usually like that, you ask scammers something and they just don't want to answer, then you tag/flag them and all of sudden they act like they are victims here and everyone is against them and/or trolling them. Don't break your head too much over this, if they don't want to answer your questions put them on ignore and move on, there is more than enough other "projects" in altcoin to talk about..

They will evade important questions and will just answer what they wanted to say. If you have given warning to the community, it is now in the hands of the users whether they will buy it or not. At the end of the day, it is their money and they have the privilege to do what they want with their money. But don't blame anyone when something goes wrong with their funds.
1376  Economy / Economics / Re: Remote Working and Inequality on: September 12, 2020, 11:01:34 PM
I do not feel like having a wife and kids stops you from working at home. Do you know how many distractions are in an office? We are talking about seriously not even being able to do your work most of the time because there is something going on, at home it is a lot easier.

For me it is not but it depends on person's character I guess. At home I find it that people don't actually understand that I'm working. They see me at home and casually walk by talking to me or ask me for help or want to know my opinion and distract me all the time. When you're at home there's always something. I have pets so they can demand attention, there's deliveries coming, neighbours, things like that. People know you're home so they come with stuff.

The biggest advantage of working from home is not having to commute. Going to town would take me an hour every day. That's an hour I can spend in bed.
I depends because when you're home, you can easily mandate that you shouldnt really be disturbed since you have work and family members would easily understand that but there
are really circumstances that you would really need to interact or do make out some response or entertain if it needs to and thats the hassle thing.

Overall im bit confident and comfortable to work on an actual office or workspace since you wouldnt be minding something which things are really just solely good for
your home issues.

It depends though because we need to adapt on whats the current changes at the moment.

Whether at home or actual office, as long as you have goals to accomplish, these will keep you align with your day to day activities. Distraction is part of it. Because we need break also from time to time. Just to relax our mind and think more clearly. So the environment should not really be a big problem, as long as you know you have certain tasks to fulfil. We do need to adapt what's laid to us by circumstances.
1377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yearn Finance and Bitcoin on: September 11, 2020, 11:41:43 PM
Even though the current yearn Finance (YFI) token price has increased quite high and is even able to pass the bitcoin price, of course this will not necessarily beat bitcoin as the king of the world's digital currencies today, I am personally very sure if the current YFI price increase is the temporary impact of the popularity of the Defi system, but in the future we can see if DeFi begins to be abandoned, of course, it will make the YFI token price weaken again, so those who hold YFI for too long will be very risky later and my advice for those who invest in YFI is better to be careful and don't make YFI an asset for the long-term because we don't know the popularity of the DeFI system will be lasted long or not

I have the gut feeling that this will go down hard in the very near future. The collapse is imminent on this YFI platform as they have no working platform. Contemplating on why it is very expensive, I don't see any reason why such price? Are there really consumers of this yearn finance platform? Where are they?
1378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to transfer money to an exchange on: September 11, 2020, 10:10:37 PM
I know some exchanges accept creditcards... If i'm not mistaking, binance is an example of such an exchange.

Your other options would be P2P trades with cash (or any other form of currency accepted by the P2P trader)

Binance has P2P services as well. At least you are dealing with reputable exchange. By the way, what is the fiat money of the OP?

https://p2p.binance.com/

As others have suggested, he can check the nearest bitcoin ATM in his locality. Or other p2p sites, but make sure that the site is legit as there are a lot of scammers these days.
1379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SushiSwap founder returns money and ask for forgiveness 😢 on: September 11, 2020, 08:44:04 PM
Exit scam canceled? He probably afraid of being put in jail for the rest of his life. Not sure if "I am sorry" would be enough and free him from problems that might arise.

Well, definitely he is, and probably lots of death threat in his private box.  This news brings smile to me, and even though sorry isn't enough, at least he has guts to admit and apologize in public.  I think the guy (sushiswap founder) isn't really that  bad.  And now that the Sushiswap have $14m funds in their stash, I so wanted to see this project to be successful. It would be great to see  supposed to be scam project going legit and successful.

Maybe he realized he can't get out of his mess without being killed. Because who knows, he might be receiving real death threats because he screwed huge amount of money and there may be big names behind those funds? Though his action is very rare as most scammers disappeared into thin air.

By the way is Chef Nomi a Japanese? Because Japanese are known to ask forgiveness publicly and some of them commit harakiri if they can't bear it with their conscience what they've done.
1380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin like Minable Tron TRC20 Token on: September 10, 2020, 11:33:58 PM
I understand that this has no premine, no ico, no airdrop, however, how are you going to build the value for this coin? Are you planning to have actual application among crypto users? And what would it be? Because if you will just mine the coin and sell it to exchanges, then what? Traders will participate at the start but later on, if they see no value in it, they will just move on.
