1401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is now the 6th largest world currency on: September 04, 2020, 04:32:17 PM
It stands a very good possibility of obtaining the top spot within the next 10 years. To reach the #6 spot in such a short time is also very impressive.

Quite impressive for cryptocurrency to be lined up with fiat currencies that are existing decades and decades. And the advantage of btc - it is accepted globally, wherever you are, you can convert your btc to your local fiat, that is if you have local exchange or p2p services. But in general, people around the world can easily get in touch with btc in just few clicks, whereas when it comes to fiat, you can't get a hold of US$ if you are in another side of the world. This is really amazing for crypto.
1402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yearn.Finance (YFI) hits $28k on: September 03, 2020, 11:46:50 PM
Not just 28K usd, it went up to 33K+ dollar I think. But I did not ride with yearn finance I because it might become bubble. Once a certain coin fluctuate higher, its consolidation or reversal is also a bloody. However, as I have noticed to the current coin listed in binance they are all moving 100% upward momentum. So, I rid in yearn finance II and sushi for a short period of time. Well, I really gained a lot from this two coin.

I think they are the cause of a downtrend action of real projects. If the hype and manipulation was done in the market. I assume that everything would go back to normal.

Really careful in touching this one because they have no actual use case at the moment. So basically, it is more on price manipulation. Why would a project in beta stage be on this price level? No active use case and yet they are getting pump? So better be safe than sorry. Don't jump to the market that you are not familiar of. There's something hazy here.
1403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Tron (TRX) Ever Reach $5? on: September 03, 2020, 11:04:18 PM
don't expect TRON to go to $ 5, hope TRON can go to $ 1 first, because to reach $ 1,TRON must have a market cap that exceeds the current Bitcoin marketcap,
just hold it if you believe in TRON, never to be surrender

That is, start for much lower price like $1. But even attaining $1 is really quite a journey for tron. Because it means increase of about 23 times over to its current price. And that will entail a lot of things even on the tron team themselves. Everything is possible but it needs a lot of actual hard work and should not rely in miracles. If you are an investor, be realistic with your goals for this alt. And 50 cents is actually a long journey for this coin.
1404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LJAR]Luckyjar: first real simple and trusted ETH smartcontract lottery on: September 03, 2020, 03:52:01 PM
Your token is expensive, 1 eth is equivalent to 1000 LJar, where you have nothing yet proven in this industry. I don't think many people will buy your token. And your website, the first thing that it asks is about the user's investment in eth. Why not give the content of your website first?  About your project and other details. But you are asking investment right away without giving any info to the user.
1405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does a Bitcoin news site receive a penalty for copyright on: September 03, 2020, 11:21:48 AM
If you are directly copying the content then you will get copyright notification. If you do not copy and create your own content with a reference from where you got the news then you will not fall in any trouble.

So I can get the news, but if I publish it after commenting with my own writing style, it's okay. This is how I understood, is it true?

Depends.

At minimum you'll have to cite the source.

Strictly speaking, copy / pasting major parts or even a whole article without permission from the rights holder could still be a breach of copyright even while linking the source. Google "Fair Use" in relation to copyright to see what's okay to do without permission from the original author and what isn't.

Better cite the source. Because if it is not your original idea or concept and just borrowing from someone else's, you need to acknowledge where you get it from. Citing your source is one option not to accuse of having plagiarized content. Because even if you paraphrase the statement, still you don't own that idea.
1406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Missing the current DEFI pump on: September 02, 2020, 11:21:44 PM
DeFi projects are giving a crazy boost to crypto right now but, at the same time, lots of fake/scammy projects are popping out of uniswap so we need to ride this DeFi wave by being extra careful.
I have seen it also ,there are many of scam Defi project running over here and there also in Uniswap exchange .Most of the scam project making hype so we need more careful to choose Defi project before invest .
Those that want to scam.among them do it so well that they apart from the Defi hype, go as far as intensifying their marketing to attract more investors and as soon as they get what they wanted, they are gone. Some even manage to list on exchange to siphon more funds.

And as you noticed, the go-to exchange of these DeFi projects is the Uniswap, because they can just list their token without any restrictions. You will see the common combo today, Defi and Uniswap. So no wonder if someday, this Uniswap exchange will be full of crap and dead tokens, once the hype is over. So don't regret if you missed the current DeFi hype or pump, because more than likely, a lot of these investors will regret spending money from useless DeFi projects.
1407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: YEARN PROTOCOL FINANCE (YPTF) DEFI & STAKE on: September 02, 2020, 10:16:22 AM
I think it is some good points which project has like all data stored on user devices due to end-to-end algorithm and they have online support system working 24 hours 7 day in a week

Are you part of the team? Have you read the above posts regarding fake team members of this project? Ignoring the above accusations? I don't think it is a smart move if someone will invest on this project that is clearly riding the bandwagon of DeFi, to the point that they employ fake profiles.
1408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralized Game framework on: September 02, 2020, 06:55:50 AM
Talking about your project on bitcointalk is not really a great idea, if it was for people here they would have said satoshi was an idiot for working on bitcoin before he released it if he ended up asking their advice here and they would have laughed at his face and few years later try to get as much bitcoin as they can.

However you have to actually work on something a bit further than just half a page of explanation before you can get a good review as well, even if what you are working on is bad or great it needs to be a bit further developed in, otherwise it is just an idea and we all know ideas worth absolutely zero and all ideas are horrible until execution shows how it is not bad. So I would say work on this a bit more, have some design and some details and share it again, that might get different results.

I do agree, we have nothing to discuss if there will be no demo version at least of what he is talking about. Because if only idea, then the chance that it will not ever materialize is always there. So until he can offer a much well founded concept along with the actual app, then that's the time that we can discuss about this idea of him.
1409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: SBXtoken.io[Sports Betting Marketplace][DEFI][UNISWAP LISTING] on: September 01, 2020, 11:33:08 PM
I really like the look of this project so I have decided to join the public sale and buy some SBX. The thing that caught my was that SBX will be listed on AceDBets sportsbook which already gives SBX a use case and also that a staking dapp will be launching on the same day SBX goes live on UniSwap.

At least unlike other DeFi-related projects, this one already found one way to realize their objectives. But hopefully, this is not another project that is just using the current hype, DeFi and Uniswap comes in combination with the new hype. So can they survive after the hype is over?
1410  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the crypto market saturated? on: September 01, 2020, 11:05:32 PM
There is no saturation in the crypto market, saturation will occur when all the struggles or efforts are achieved or materialized, but so far even the actual use of crypto or bitcoin is very rarely applied. With that, I think there are still many accomplishments that haven't been achieved so there's no way there will be a saturation situation in this crypto market. The number of cryptocurrencies that are created will not saturate the market either, because basically the crypto market will continue to grow over time and not to become saturated because there are so many cryptocurrencies on the market.

Very true, only few crypto projects are actually implementing their objectives. Blockchain tech is very helpful to company's operations if utilized properly but right now all those nice use cases are still on paper and not seen in actual scenarios. So yes, I don't think the market is saturated. We need more projects that can literally apply their objectives to actual situations.
1411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi Platform on: September 01, 2020, 01:30:33 PM
As others have already shared important links where one can learn and understand more about DeFi, I hope the OP will use it in assessing the authenticity of DeFi project that he will get interested with. Because some of these projects are just riding the hype and they have no intentions of actually implementing the platform. Like a money grab project and users should be vigilant with those projects.
1412  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin Casino and Betting Advantages For Online Gamblers on: August 31, 2020, 11:40:00 PM
Only question we need to ask ourselves why bitcoin gambling industry rapidly growing and whose the only winer...?

The winner is of course the casino owners, but there are gamblers who are still continuously patronizing casinos. So there will always be casinos. And with online casinos, it is easy to check the provable fairness of the game. You can also switch games very easily. And right now, with the pandemic, playing online is of your advantage. You can play at the comfort of your home but do take note that play your extra funds to avoid debt during this crisis.
1413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔵🔵🔵 YFIB NEW balancer token YFIBALANCER 🔥🔥🔥PRE SALE🔥🔥🔥 on: August 31, 2020, 11:01:38 PM
I would suggest for those defi fans to be vigilant with these sprouting projects. Since YFI seemed to be successful right now, expect that there will be more projects related to it that will be deployed. No website, and yet they are already selling their tokens. Stay safe guys! Don't be deceived by the current hype because most of them are just fake projects.
1414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I am curious about people's opinion of DeFi projects and coins on: August 31, 2020, 10:23:58 PM
Of course, I have heard of DeFi. Everyday you will see in the forum that a new DeFi-related project is launched. It maybe a game changer but I believe only few of them will survived as most of them are just money-grab projects. They are riding the hype and in a hurry to launch their so-called DeFi platform. In time, you will know how many of them will continue to serve the community. But I bet most of them, have very short lifespan. So if you are serious buyer of DeFi, you should really assess on each project and read between the lines if they are here only for money.
1415  Economy / Economics / Re: Our country was called Province of China. on: August 30, 2020, 10:12:38 PM
I think it might be a typo, because according to the label, the product is indeed made in China, and is manufactured for Elegant Fumes Beauty Products Inc. located in Manila. I don't deny the money trap. but if the context is the product label, there may be a need for an explanation from the company.

It looks like an unintentional typo. But at the same time, for products which are meant to be exported outside China, they should be more careful about the labeling. They can give excuses such as lack of English knowledge of the staff, but this is not going to go well in the Philippines. Just a few months back, both the nations had a small skirmish in the South China sea.

Well, unintentional or intentional these products did not went to the correct process and that is why it is so great that the Mayor of Manila, Mayor Isko, closed down the stores selling them and making them though we doesn't know if these stores knew that to start with. We are still in pandemic and I think we should focus on that right now. We are breaking records of cases.

Because if this company get their necessary permits and licenses, they will not release the mislabeled packaging. Because it will be corrected by the government authority. It is good that it has been exposed as I believe there are a lot of these companies that are intentionally having that kind of label to mislead people. And also, they are operating their business without paying necessary taxes as they don't have the permits in the first place.
1416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin such a big risk? on: August 30, 2020, 07:12:43 PM
It certainly had a risk of its own but in my opinion, Bitcoin is not a big of a risk to other cryptocurrencies, I think Bitcoin has established a safe zone that it will not end up becoming a zero value anymore so if you had spare money why not give it a try,

Some people often don't want to get involved with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies because of the fear of that little risk, and I have talked to a friend that said Bitcoin is only for the rich because on the value of bitcoin, But I think even establishing your own business has a risk everything has a risk involved in doing it and doing nothing.

“The biggest risk is not taking any risk... In a world that’s changing really quickly, the only strategy that is guaranteed to fail is not taking risks.” – Mark Zuckerberg

You really can't blame people for the hesitation towards crypto, newbies or beginners in particular. As a lot of them don't know how crypto works and how they can invest and handle bitcoin without losing, they have the feeling that small mistake and they will lose their funds. That is very understandable because they are still grasping on how to lessen those risks involved. So if you are really a beginner in crypto, you do really need to invest what you can afford to lose. And once you get good grip on what's going on, you can slowly go outside of your safe zone.
1417  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning]: Possible scam Tether mixer on: August 30, 2020, 05:34:03 PM
This is my first time to hear about Tether mixer and probably not as big as bitcoin mixer, but the intention is still the same, to pull a scam to crypto users. Another red flag is the minimum amount of 50 USDT? Damn, that is too high.

They want to use every opportunity, for which they are willing to use any system. This is another example of how hard they work to scam people. If they could use their talents for good, they could do better. Since the market is in a good position now, they can get a lot of victims. Because now those who are new to the market will not get an idea about such a complex scam.

And if the author is deleting the message as coboguard says, then, they are hiding something and don't want to be exposed their wrongdoings. If they can screw 50usdt per person, then they will be rich in short period of time. I hope usdt users will not use mixers like this and let's spread this shady mixer to our colleagues or friends that are using this kind of service.
1418  Economy / Economics / Re: How long will it take banks to phase out physical cash completely? on: August 30, 2020, 06:08:07 AM
Until and unless there is free 24/7 internet in every corner of the world the physical cash cannot be phased out. Also the literacy and at least mobile phone for the people is needed to do so.

Well, by the way, Yes lol. These are quite obvious requirements - if we are talking directly about the whole world as a single structure.
On the other hand, in some countries, it is already quite possible to start giving up cash even today - only the elderly will suffer (you can leave cash for them). Decide for example that if you are less than 65 years old then please hand over all cash and that you will not be accepted non cash payments.
Quite strict measures but on the other hand it may well work

Those above requirements will not pave the way for us to go full cashless society. Because a lot of people still prefer the traditional way of paying, via fiat currency. I don't think we will be seeing in our lifetime our world as cashless. There will always be areas like rural and remote areas that will not be open to this modern change. And also up until now, a lot of people don't own smartphone to begin with as well as internet connection. Maybe, we will see a specific country to be cashless society soon like for example Sweden, but we don't know if they can truly implement being one in all aspects.

1419  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Research and Experience, There’s No Other Way! on: August 29, 2020, 11:52:34 PM
it will take years of research and experience to master bitcoin.
Maybe or maybe not. Some here have mastered the basic knowledge everything about bitcoin, how it works, mechanism, and its used to different application. Learning bitcoin technology speed is depend on the user capability to grasp all there is to learn. Some here can understand, and execute anything coding on bitcoin easily especially those who have knowledge with related field.

Im not totally techie guy, but somehow I understand and know how it works, and manage to execute some task like keeping my security when using off bitcoin wallets including altcoins too.

Also, even compiling from source codes you can do that even if you have no prior experience because there are a lot of tutorials that you can find here in the forum. And those actually are of big help to newbies in crypto. Maybe it would take years to grasp all the knowledge that you need but you can already learn a lot in a short period of time which you basically need to move forward with your goals in crypto.
1420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][IDO] DECENTRALIZED LENDING, GOVERNANCE, AND FIAT LIQUIDITY DAPP on: August 29, 2020, 10:49:33 PM
Seeing as the assets being used as collateral are still extremely volatile, DeFi loans require a significant amount of risk tolerance. Combined with the fact that issuance and stability fees are constantly changing

It depends on how the platform will strategize to avoid possible losses. And I don't think they will design their system at their own demise. It will always be on their advantage. But of course, they need to be competitive as DeFis are getting hyped these days, and they will offer their clients the best service as much as they can. Or sometimes even offering a very tempting program which may not be catered at all.
