1481  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is $10,000 on: July 29, 2020, 11:30:49 PM
It had crossed 11k and was above that levels for some time and then started to take a dip again back and now at 10900$. I think it is not supporting above 11k, but will see if it can test again and will it be able to stay above those levels or will fall back again. But it has crossed very quickly from 10 to 11k .
It is supporting the $11k and in fact, just made it back to $11,200.

We're thinking that it will be the last time that it will be on $11,000 and suddenly will go back to $10,000 and $9,000. But this time, it's going strong and if it supports $10,500 - $11,000 for how many weeks, it will give me a sigh.

Apparently we experience some little dumps but the support is strong so I assume that we will experience a little more pumps in next following days. but we can't really be sure if this will really continue in next following months since there is a downside of everything and we need to be ready for that.

I'm casting my loads now and will secure my profit anytime soon once I see some bad angles.

Short term trading is a good opportunity right now. If someone has the funds, he can easily gain profit as the change for the past 24 hours is already big. But need to be careful though. It can go back easily so you need to be ready and don't be so greedy with profits. Now, that we are again getting green in the market, other alts are also enjoying this ride. We can also look at possible profitable alts like eth.
1482  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Problems covid19 cause on: July 29, 2020, 10:49:32 PM
The covid-19 pandemic has bring lots of problems ever since it have existed and spread out affecting people's health and now the lives of people living in the whole world because problems related on it have been branching out when the community quarantine that brings lockdowns to be implemented occurred.

At the first base, the covid-19 pandemic have been a problem in relation to the medical field since it is a new virus that have existed and the vaccine for it still remain undiscovered up until now although there are already discovered vaccines but those are still under clinical and human trial before to be claimed as effective and safe.

With that, while we are still waiting for the cure to come, other problems have sprout out affecting people's lives all due because of the existing lockdowns in avoidance of spreading the virus and to control the number of infected cases. With that, people tend to stay indoors which make workers temporarily to permanently jobless since business establishments and work places are closed for a while because public places where there is a possibility for a crowd to get together is strongly prohibited for now. With the closure of such establishments, the production of goods and services have been strongly affected that leads to shortage or lack of goods and services most specially the medical ones and the foods that are mainly consumed in the market. That scenario nearly affects the economic status of the country since no production have been made.

The lockdown also bring schools and universities to temporary closure to keep students safe away from virus since they were the bracket groups that are vulnerable to get infected by the virus together with those adults aging 60 and up. Imagine how this virus brings up serious problems on the 6 months already existing community quarantine just to keep people safe while the vaccine is still undiscovered.

In general, this pandemic caused a lot of hardships in the global population. But right now, this lockdown saved many lives. We just hope that the medical industry can provide the vaccine as soon as possible. Without the vaccine, it is hard to mingle with people like what was before. Right now, we need to be strong on what we are facing, look for things that will help alleviate our situation.
1483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Name really matter in crypto? on: July 29, 2020, 11:09:15 AM
Name of a project doesn't really have anything to do with it's success,as long as the project has a unique use case and delivers, and the team behind the project is active, also if the project is listed in good exchanges with volume,I think no one would even care about the name of the project rather they would want to see what it can offer.

If there is no solid foundation and sincere motive, the project will not go anywhere even if they use bitcoin or satoshi attached to their name. We have seen a lot of crap projects trying to use the name of bitcoin, but  where are they now? I remember this bitcoin love and satoshi token. All gone. So nope, name doesn't really matter, it is about its purpose in the market.
1484  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you feel safe going outside? on: July 28, 2020, 11:52:17 PM
I do not feel safe going out because our government lifted the lockdown and many people can now go out but the infection is rising, for the past week I have seen a lot of people not wearing a mask and they are not practicing social distancing and so many people reported as asymptomatic and yet they are roaming outside, this feeling will not go away as long as this pandemic is here.

It is very understandable to feel that kind of not being safe around your surroundings. For many of us, it is the new normal - wearing mask, bringing sanitizer/alcohol wherever you go, social distancing, being paranoid when someone coughs, etc. So I'd say, we will feel a lil bit safe once this vaccine arrives. Believe it or not, this pandemic brought paranoia to a lot of people.
1485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This could be a big WIN for an entire crpyto community on: July 28, 2020, 04:52:34 PM
That’s indeed a news to celebrate. Cryptocurrencies getting legalized and regulated is a win for the whole market. Government would of course not leave the market open as it’s a bull (hard to control), it had to be regulated and contained in some way. Although, I strongly believe that cryptocurrencies should be traded as assets rather than form of money due to their high volatility and how people look at it as a form of investment.

This has surely brought the market one step closer to mass adoption and acceptance in the community. I just believe that we are in the beginning phase of people start understanding about the potential of cryptocurrencies; it means we can expect more number of people will be adopting cryptocurrencies in near future for some reasons like they may use it like paypal or like gold.

I strongly believe legal regulation is not required for cryptocurrencies to hit mainstream adoption still if that is happening that will definitely boost adoption of cryptocurrencies.

This move will give noncrypto users a sense of peace that bitcoin is not illegal thing. Because let's admit it, those noncrypto users who have no idea how crypto works have the notion that dealing with crypto is somewhat illegal in nature. With this regulation, they will come to know that crypto is not illegal after all. So this will give them an assurance that looking into it as payment option is really viable. Indeed we're looking at adoption here.
1486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NWC] Newscrypto.io – All About Crypto In One Place [Crypto Trading Edge] on: July 28, 2020, 11:05:10 AM
Who would have thought that this one will be doing well in the market? As the first year of being introduced here in the forum is getting near, we are expecting more news coming from the NWC team. There's a lot of things lined up for this platform up until 2023. Watching how those items will slowly be completed by the team...
1487  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's happening with Bitcoin & altcoins? on: July 27, 2020, 11:53:34 PM
I feel the surprise but we all that happy to see the rising sentiment of the market today. And what next? It's all been uncertain and you can't just escape into a possibility that it turns back down in the coming days. The market will remain unpredictable but many experts foresaw a better trend in the 3rd and 4th quarter, seemingly it caught attention by then to think positively amidst the pandemic.

The leading two coins Bitcoin and Ethereum have already skyrocketed, hope to see the rest of altcoins to follow the same as being like in the 2017 Bullrun.
But I'm not sure how it works because investors are focusing more on the leading coins in the market which is pretty hard and seems hopeless for those who are in the bottom.

If we will have good performance in the next coming weeks, by the end of this year, we will experience a very good rate of bitcoin as well as the top alts like eth. I am interested also about this upcoming Eth 2.0, will the impact be significant in influencing the eth price? People are now in good mood as we are seeing this bitcoin's price again for so long.
1488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So many scam giveaways is it because Bitcoin is moving up on: July 27, 2020, 11:20:23 PM
Do people notice that these scam giveaways are just happening this year after the halving and many social media hacks are happening
are all these planned because people are tempted to give in and fall in this scam giveaways because of the big bonus
Bitcoin is now moving up and so many social media of popular people are hacked, is this coincidence or planned.
I have noticed them but not only this time but even during the old times, there were scams countless times. They never give up and even up to now, they are still spreading their scheme throughout the cryptocurrency communities. The twitter account scam that promoted scams, I don't have updates with them but if I have to read one update from them then it should be that Twitter has already done their part to tracked the person responsible for that ruckus.

Scammers will try and try again and the bad thing is, they are growing everyday. Since a lot of people see that they can screw naive individuals without risking their identity, they found a good breeding ground to hold their operations. That is the drawback of crypto, as they can launch their projects anonymously or give rewards, promos or any giveaway without giving their true identities, they can get away without a trace. So it is only up to the user if he will be lured with these too-good-to-be-true offers.
1489  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Analysis Christian religions and islam on: July 27, 2020, 10:51:16 PM
Christianity and Islam both believe in the existence of a God who created the universe.
in Islam and Christianity believe there will be life after death. the two religions have many similarities and most importantly always respect differences is the key so that we can live in harmony in religion.

I truly agree with you here. Once you grew up, you will understand that these religions have their own beliefs and only respect is needed to live in harmony with them. Even if you have your own beliefs according to your religion, you should not shove it to someone else's face if he has different faith. I already stopped comparing religions long long time ago. Just respect everyone and you will have a peaceful and contented life.
1490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No exchange? No Value! on: July 27, 2020, 10:13:20 PM
if the coins you have do not have an exchange then your coins also have no value and maybe you have no hope of selling all the coins you have. if you don't mind maybe you can mention the name of the coin, but is it possible that the coins you have are only listed on 1 Exchange only?

The OP mentioned the coin- it's batcoin. Though he didn't give which one it is because there are two BAT coin but I think this is the coin he is referring to - https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/batcoin#markets

The other BAT (Basic Attention Token) are still available in several markets.

From the looks of it, the OP has lost his money on this batcoin, as it seems dead already.
1491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats your fears in new cryptocurrency? on: July 27, 2020, 01:55:10 AM
1- Scammers developers: that is the main issue with new currencies. Nothing worse than investing in a project which is discontinued any time by the team behind it. Then promoters and enthusiasts lose money and reputation towards crypto community while developers vanish.

2- Low adoption: sometimes the developer team is very present and attentive, but the currency still needs adoption and support from crypto enthusiasts to achieve success, otherwise it will be a failure anyway.

3- Worthless features: the second point may be just a consequence of this one. As the currency doesn't offer any exciting new feature, investors won't dive in, so it's also a big fear when investing. You must ask yourself how useful this currency will be for its users. If you can't think about any good point, forget about investing on it.

Those are the three most feared points investors have in mind when investing in altcoins.

With those mentioned pointers, those are the reasons why sticking with bitcoin and top popular alts is better than investing in new coins. For instance, if you are holding bitcoin, you very well know that it will not disappear in the market but with those new ones, you have no assurance if they can keep their market or not. In terms of adoption, obviously, bitcoin is leading the pack. There are more merchants accepting bitcoin as compared to other secondary alts like eth, xrp or bcash.
1492  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We Are All Satoshi on: July 26, 2020, 11:59:06 PM
Wow!! you did an excellent work. I think I should try to make something with bitcoin  too. I am also a graphic designer but not so expert.
Yes, We all are Satoshi.

That's amazing if this inspires anyone to do some bitcoin art. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Have you tried submitting your work to graphic studios? I mean you can earn money from this talent. Like those blockchain projects that are looking for graphic designers.
1493  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Connection between blood type and coronavirus mortality has been confirmed on: July 26, 2020, 10:53:42 PM
as far as information that I get The most vulnerable people infected with the corona virus are those with chronic diseases, such as diabetes, and diseases that affect the heart and lungs.
if our immune system is in prime condition, it might be difficult for viruses to damage our immune system.

I am more on this side rather than the blood type thing. Comparing the vulnerability of the person with good health condition (with blood type which is assumed to be vulnerable with the virus) vs person with chronic diseases (but with blood type that is thought to be less prone to the virus), I believe the one with chronic disease will contract the disease faster and with devastating impact on his health. There maybe connection with blood type but if you are in your prime health condition, I don't think you have to worry much about this connection.
1494  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Black Crimes Matter on: July 26, 2020, 06:01:44 AM
Blacks are lazy as fuck.  Especially the North American ones.

There is no 'systemic racism' anywhere in the USA or Canada.  Do you want proof?

Look at the success of East Indians and Asians.

Hard work works.

Parenting, family support is all it matters when it comes to education.

You cannot break the cycle of poverty without education.

Asian people are really hardworking and they will do everything just to go out of poverty. We are taught to make a better future and make a better world for the next generation. Good parenting is where we started that's why we are having a good quality of life after we finished our studies. It is not about the race, it is the environment that will affect you as you grow older. In some countries, a culture where they don't prioritize education will most likely affect their community.

Blacks should stop idolizing the gang culture, stop shooting each other, instead, they should start reading more.

That's the reason why other race are hating black people, it is because of the crime that they commit. But in reality, not all black people are bad, there are a lot of black people who are living in a decent and peaceful life. I'm hoping that all of the human race should understand how love and peace makes a world better.

Bottomline, if people are educated, racism will not be an issue at all. And if people will travel more and mingle with other culture, their perspectives in life will broaden. They will be more understanding in life and will respect everyone that he will encounter in life. So there will be no things like Black lives matter or White Supremacists anymore.
1495  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Hoopergroup.tech on: July 25, 2020, 11:39:14 PM
You sent 50 grand to a "recovery" service? How much did you lose to the "trading platform"? And what platform was it? Sounds like something worth a warning too.

I'm sorry about your losses but aside from warning others there is not much that can be done here. I doubt there is any real online "recovery" service. Law enforcement and/or a proper PI IRL might be your only recourse but it's a long shot. As logfiles said, when bitcoins are gone - they're gone for good.

That's a lot of money for a newbie here in the forum. Unfortunately, you encountered this forum just now. Never heard or encountered this site in the forum. So more than likely, it is running a scam. I hope users will see this thread and avoid this site as much as possible.

And guess what is on their webpage -

1496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you doing now? on: July 25, 2020, 11:15:18 PM
In corona Pandemic, I have no job to earn. So I am joining several campaigns from bitcointalk?

What are you doing now?
A lot of people are so much affected on their financial stability in this time of pandemic. For me, I joined a lot of bounty hoping and praying that it has good potential after the campaign and can give good earnings so that effort will not waste. I also trade on binance and do some studies on how to be a good trader in order to earn more on tradings. There are lots of opportunities online if you will give time and effort on it.

I'm in front of the computer and as we speak, I am in bitcointalk to post.  Tongue Also, aside form sig campaign, I am also answering online surveys that will earn me a lil bit of income. And when I accumulated about $50 worth - I can transfer it to my PayPal. These days, you have to find ways on how to earn money even it will give you small income. Once you accumulated them, it is already something. Also, I am looking for exchanges where I can trade my old tokens in my wallet. Checking if there's value in the market.
1497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi Anticipated To Reach $5 Billion In Total Value on: July 25, 2020, 10:39:39 PM
I think it is time to be careful of Defi projects now because the hype is getting too much and could end badly mostly wit newer projects. About the $5 billion in value, this looks exaggerated because once others or rather newer Defi projects starts coming up in mass, attention will be divided and drawn from already developed ones hence that mark might not be reach; this case scenario depends on if there aren't scam Defi projects. But can one rule out the fact that scammers will likely not develop theirs? No, hence another reason this anticipated value might not be reached.

Indeed! With the hype surrounding DeFi projects, there will be scammers that will use this platform to deceive their investors. As we all have seen, these scammers are getting better in deceiving the community. For now, it is better to stick with the known and established DeFi project like Chainlink. But for newcomers, you have to scrutinize it before jumping on the bandwagon.
1498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sometimes late bounties can still pay rewards on: July 25, 2020, 09:54:59 PM
I can't say of 2 years ago, but three of the presumably dead tokens I got from bounty campaigns early last year are giving me joy at the moment. Anything can happen in crypto and seeing the success of DeFi platforms, many inactive projects are coming alive integrating DeFi into their ecosystem for survival. More dead/inactive projects might still come back to life.

Lucky for you I'd say. Not many projects can have that kind of miracle to attain good value in the market. Most of them are usually abandoned by their respective developers. But if you see that the team keeps on developing no matter what the situation is. Then I guess there's hope for that project. Otherwise, there's no chance that they can revive the dead project.
1499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Monolith - the first decentralized ruble stablecoin on: July 25, 2020, 09:22:21 PM
Why did you copy MakerDAO’s WP?

The Monolith is a copy of MakerDAO and we do not hide it. The difference is in the currency that the stablecoin is linked to. In our case it is the ruble. In MakerDAO - the dollar.

you shouldn't copy evrything from them even you are fork that project, that would be alright if you only fork their concept but its not very good to copy their content and put it as your Whitepaper even your concept are fork of Maker DAO , you should make it diffrent and write your own whitepaper, only scam shit project are copy other projectt content and whitepaper because its easy work to do for scammers. be creative and write whitepaper by yourself and not copy the Maker DAO whitepaper LoL.

I can't figure out what the problem is? It's one case when a project presents itself as unique and copies another project's WP and quite another when a project just a fork. They talks about it. IMHO this is no plagiarism

The problem is they are copy whitepaper from Maker DAO and put it website as their whitepaper, is that good for you?

If they don't want to create their own whitepaper, they should have just put a reference link to the Maker DAO platform. I am not against with copying someone else's work, because that's very common in blockchain projects. I don't think every one of them started from scratch. But if you want to use somebody's work, just include the right references along with your copied statements.
1500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin replace Gold someday? on: July 25, 2020, 08:45:06 PM
They will both co-exist and will have more precious value in near future but bitcoin doesn't have the capability to replace the gold. Gold has its demand not only because it's a store value but as a metal it is rare, have some major usage in building electronic devices. Billions of People all over the world use gold as an ornament, jewelry. So it's totally impossible.

Absolutely right! Gold has vital usage in the electronics industry and other industries, the reason why it is not only for storage vaults to keep. So even if I am pro-bitcoin, I don't think bitcoin can replace gold. Gold has intrinsic factor that is needed in specific industries and you can't replace it with bitcoin.

It cannot replace its function in the industry but it can replace it as a store of value

Imagine what would happen if a big deposit of gold is found somewhere. Gold is worth a lot because it's useful and rare. If you dump a lot of cheaply mined gold on the market it will no longer be rare.

I think that summarizes how gold is not in anyway can be replaced by bitcoin.
