Yup congrats to the people that made it in the money spots.  This one of the more difficult pools I've ever joined.  It isn't like football that if you watch the sport, you'll somewhat have an idea of the scores.  In F1 it's you think you have an idea, but then some things happen throwing you off by surprise.

But I had fun...  At the first half of the season.  Lol.  I was kinda not trying anymore at the second half.  Grin

Anyway see you guys around.

I never really looked into this weekend's main event and at first glance I thought it's going to be all Armand Tsarukyan.  But looking at Tsarukyan's record after getting beat by Gamrot...  He beat a deflated Ismagulov and Joaquim Silva?  Mmm...  Dariush would smoke those guys and the last time he got beat was vs Charles Oliveira.  I know it's useless playing MMA math but Oliveira beats Tsarukyan any day of the week.

Here's a replay of Dariush.

Damn...  Dan Hooker pulled out.  Jalin Turner is replacing him.  ;/

OK, I just checked the odds for Turner Vs Green and Green is a big underdog for some reason, with x2.88 (on Unibet) payout rate. What am I missing here? I'd expect bookies to be favouring Green.
Is it just age and reach advantage? Other than that, Turner is stepping in on a VERY short notice, he lost his 2 latest fights, while Green won his last two in a compelling fashion.

I mean I think Jalin Turner should be the favorite but being on short notice I don't think he should be lined at 1.43.  And after the way we saw him lose vs Hooker?  No thank you.  He'll be at the bottom of my lottery ticket.  Lol.

As a single bet it's better to pass imho.  But gun on my head, I'd rather take Bobby Green at 2.95.  At least we know he'll come on there and bring it.  Turner on the other hand could have cardio issues.
564  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for November on: November 25, 2023, 12:47:52 PM
Binance is fixed news in that it does not appear to be a negative which spreads in an unknown way.  Its announced and resolved quite quickly and the idea of disclosure and anti laundering was already a known factor to exchanges.  Maybe thats why, the main reason BTC does not pull back is the Dollar index I think.   So far I see BTC standing on support about 36k, also a prior ceiling to movement roughly.  If it lost that and also DXY started to trend up I would expect a  fall.  I thought maybe November could see this fall but seems there is no imperative to especially sell or move a large amount at present in either direction.

I think there's no need to complicate things like looking at what's going on with the DXY.  Grin  Let's just say that investors are getting less spooked and are now more willing to hold even though there' some shenanigans going on.  People will tend to get sick of the news and would stop listening eventually.  I guess we're at that time.  Just look at the PA right now...  Kinda flat for a couple of weeks at the local highs but it's pretty decent.  That's something we want before the next leg up.  It needs a breather.

Many 3rd drivers in this 1st hour of practice.

The track will also improve a lot cause sand is on track here always every year in the 1st hour.

Russell also topped FP3 with Hamilton lagging way behind.  It looks like Hamilton to finish the podium at 2.90 might not value at all.  Lol.  But let's see at qualifying...  That's when the drivers take it more seriously.  FP1 and FP2 are more for tweaking the cars.  FP3, they take it a tad more seriously and find out how fast they really are on the track.  Quali is when they take off the gloves are and pull out all the stops.  But then again if Hamilton was just sand bagging, he wouldn't be way behind in FP3.  Lmao.

Anyway, last race of the season guys...  Hope it's a good one.
566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: November 25, 2023, 12:23:32 PM

Whoa! I thought that they changed the Co-Main Event with Rob Font vs Deiveson Figueiredo but Bobby Green is just eager to fight as now he will have Jalin Turner as his opponent, for sure if Bobby Green lost to this one that will be a big upset for sure Jalin Turner will only have 1 week to prepare against Bobby Green that will be a hard fight as Green is a very unpredictable fighter,

I double checked and nope...  Co main event is Jalin Turner vs Bobby Green.  It really looks like the UFC is trying to give Turner another decent match up to move up the ranks.  They gave him Dan Hooker in his last fight and he looked good at the first round but then dunno...  It was like a switch flipped him off and it suddenly became all Hooker at the second half of R2 and all Hooker at R3.  Did Turner gas out, I have no idea.  But something looked wrong with him after R1...  I guess we'll find out during media day.  Let's see what he has to say about that loss if it comes up.

Anyway I think it's massive disprespect for Fig that he's bumped a notch down the roster.

MajSev picks are done and dusted. I'm actually going for broke in the City-Liverpool game. A fat bet (by my standards), several accas, all picks across various contests siding Salah rather than Haaland. Game on people!

Only 15/100 so far for me, prospects are dimming but my support this round goes to away teams. Except United, of course, who will allow a goal from... DCL!

What are your picks?  Grin

Mine are:

Haaland
Edouard
No goal scorer for Newcastle United vs Chelsea...  Dunno why.  Lol.
Saka
Son
Doucoure
Hwang

Follow or fade guys, it's up to you but I know I'll get all 7 right one of these days, it's a long shot tho.  Lmao.  But just sharing my picks to have somebody to share that 10k with if ever I get lucky.  Wink

After Ferrari's performance last week, how do you think they'll look this week?

Very difficult to predict how Ferrari will go, usually on fast tracks it goes very well.
The problem with this track is that there are many 90-degree bends.

Perhaps the main question we need to ask ourselves is, how will Mercedes go?

Oooh, you're right.  Without including Red Bull in the mix as they have good down force and will be fast on these turns, I guess it's safe to say that Mercedes has the slight advantage over Ferrrari?  If so then there could be value in Hamilton to the podium at 2.90.  The books are giving Norris and Perez the edge over Hamilton but not really sure how those guys fare this weekend and usually they're not really worth the line they're given by the bookies.

And here's where the books contradict themselves...  They give Perez an edge over Hamilton but in the Red Bull both cars to finish in the podium market 'No' is at 1.72.
569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: November 24, 2023, 12:34:55 PM
^  Yup!  I've been looking into that a fews hours ago too.  Pantoja is in the co main event to defend his 125 belt vs Royval.  I like both these guys so it should be a fun one.  Luque vs Ian Garry will def be a banger.  I think it's gonna be one of those matches that will throw Garry off of his game because Luque could make it dirty.  Josh Emmet vs Chikadze could be a good one.  Menefield vs Jacoby is decent.  Ulanbekov vs Durden is low level but could be entertaining.  Randy Brown vs Salikhov is the first match of the prelims?  Massive disrespect imho, it should be way higher in the roster.

I just found out about Binance.  Lol.  I'm pretty sure a lot of people watching the market were expecting something different...  Maybe a blood bath?  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  But no, BTC is holding strong despite the shenanigans.  So that could really mean one thing...  We are in a bull market.  If this kind of news got out around October - November last year, omg.  Huge red candle for the month for sure.  Grin

I know 1D looks like it's running into some resistance but look at the monthly chart.  It looks really good.

Already time for another Gp.
And this will be the last one of the season.

They will race in Abu-Dhabi

After Ferrari's performance last week, how do you think they'll look this week?  The track has a couple of long straights that Leclerc and Sainz could take advantage.  And there's the factor that Ferrari could be improving their car by a lot even compared to the start of the season even though it's late at the end of the season.  Could be good news for next season.

Sched for this coming F1 weekend.  It was a boring season but at least we had a few laughs.  Grin

^  He's already in physical therapy rn.  So it would take prolly 6 months for him to be fully ok and then finding a spot for him in the roster of events will prolly take a couple of months, fight camp would be around three months...  So I think around 1.5 years.  Lolol.  At the earliest maybe he'll be back by December next year?  And that's a maybe...

Anyway, here's a good one.  Lol.  These guys used to be best friends.  Not sure why Masvidal hates Covington now.

Any news from Layer Zero or from this supposed airdrop?  Seems like the interest for it has waned.  Lol.  Not one mention of it in my TL.  Cheesy  Airdrop hunters prolly have accepted that there isn't one happening this year or what?  And the longer the LZ devs wait, the narrower their window of opportunity gets.  As I said to a prior post, if they get the timing wrong like the Arbitrum devs did, they'll have an underperforming token.  And what's worse for ARB is there's a huge unlock on March 16, 2024 worth a tad over 1 billion USD at current price...  :/

That's gonna hurt the price big time.
576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What Coin is Best for short term speculation on: November 22, 2023, 12:40:17 PM
Here's another coin that could be a nice hold short term:  WEB.  Grin

It's another one of those memecoins that's playing around the Elon Meta.  It's based on another AI project by Elon Musk.  The other one is called Grok, hence a memecoin called GROK was made and mooned more than 50x since listing.  WEB might be the next one in line to moon.  Bottom's already in tho, but as a momentum play, it still looks good.

Check out the 4h chart.  It's breaking out for sure.
577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: November 22, 2023, 12:23:52 PM
You know, on one hand Aspinal really deserves to a fight against Jones, or just be counted as a division champ. On the other, people still consider that he must prove something, still needs that "just one more fight to prove that he could face champion". Some say that he should have a rematch against Blaydes, but I think that right now, Blaydes must earn a chance to have a fight against Aspinal. Because Aspinal is a "champion" now, but Blaydes has lost his previous fight.

Yup, there are still a lot of question marks on Aspinall as we've not seen much of him in the cage cos he's finished all his opponents in less that three rounds or so.  Kindly check if I'm wrong but on the top of my head, I don't remember anybody really testing him.  He got a bit tired vs Arlovski but then finished him early at R2 with a rear naked choke.

Exactly. If we ask some random UFC fan who has Aspinall beaten, he would hardly name any 3 fighters, and they probably won be from top5 heavyweights. But that is also a curse of current heavyweight division in general. Everyone knows Jones and Ngannou and connect them with UFC heavyweights. But Ngannou is no longer in UFC and Jones is not much of a fighter (more like a troublemaker). Who else we have? Miocic is old. Pavlovich recently lost to Aspinall. For majority, everyone else are decent, good, average. Or lets say victory over them wont impress much.

I think Jones still has 'it' as a fighter.  I kinda had my doubts before Gane, but after Gane he showed that he's still at the top of his game.  And Gane is one of the best MMA heavy weights in the world.  Nobody expected Jones to finish him that fast.

And we've already seen Jones at his worst and still managed to win.  If he wins vs Aspinall then there's only one fight to make for Jones...  A match up vs Ngannou.
578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Arb below 1$ on: November 21, 2023, 12:43:41 PM
Sad what happened with you. Next time more careful about wallet phase but you also earn good amount from airdrop and thats huge. Arb Concept suppose to be quite good and it still has a lot of space to raise up. I found this coin potential among new launched coins and So you can still buy this coin,  1$ seems good to buy. But i suggest not to investment full capital. Keep some for your need as you already mentioned you took loan for need of money
Borrowing to invest in crypto? Really stupid because this business is an uncertain success. If your investment is not for the best time then you can lose big money and even have to sell other assets to pay off your loan. arb is almost the best token to invest but I want to invest with my own deposit and not resort to any kind of loan. Moreover arb is best list token so your money will be safe and you can get good profit in bull market.

Wtf you talking about?  A lot of people 'borrow' to trade crypto everyday.  You can do it right now in an exchange that has a perps market and margin trading...  It's called trading on leverage.  :/

Anyway about ARB going below 1 USD, I think it could happen again when the huge token unlock starts on March 16 next year.  And it is yuuuge.  Lol.
579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: November 21, 2023, 12:37:30 PM

It is really the case for Manchester City. I agree with your opinion. When they face a fearless and capable team they are getting much bigger issues about winning the match. We have seen many examples of it including this one. To be honest Chelsea haven't looked that capable generally until this match. Because they were clearly having scoring issues mostly.

However we watched 4 goals from them once again this time against Manchester City with 11 players.  Grin  Can these results be a sign for Chelsea to have started the recovery phase? I really don't know. We need to see more like this to be confident of something about Chelsea.

It's certainly an interesting observation that Manchester City seems to struggle more against fearless and capable opponents. Chelsea's recent performances against Crystal Palace and Manchester City suggest that they might be on the path to recovery. The team has shown resilience, determination, and an improved attacking threat, which could be the foundation for them to keep gaining positive trend in the league.

They need to maintain consistency and demonstrate their ability to consistently perform at a high level against a variety of opponents  to confirm that Chelsea is truly on the uptrend. If Chelsea can build on their recent positive displays and find solutions to their remaining challenges, they have the potential to challenge for top 4 in the Premier League this season. Their upcoming matches will provide further insights into their true character and whether they have indeed embarked on a sustained recovery phase.

Next match for Chelsea could be another good one against Newcastle away.  Newcastle hasn't lost at home except vs Liverpool earlier in the season, conceding a couple of goals.  But take not that they conceded only three goals in 6 home matches and making 14 goals for themselves.

On the other hand, Chelsea has scored at least two goals in 5 of their last 6 matches so that's gonna make it really interesting for sure.  Wink

But then again all those early finishes could mean that those opponents were not in his level.  So dunno...
