Buying 2 S7 Batch 1 in BTC but that easy to say when the coins are now at 465$. I couldn't afford the cash investment at that time.

I'm sure they will ROI someday ;-) (Especially here where our electricity is cheap and adding the resell value)

113 blocks in about 22 hours  should be 132

so  we are 19 blocks under today

Yeah, my affirmation is wrong, we are still steady at the moment. I was sure the hashrate was going back up ;-)

564  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: CKPool Monitor - hashrates, workers, rewards and get notifications for CKPool on: April 25, 2016, 06:17:59 PM
Hello There, Kano! Great anime, especially the eyes! The last time Kano CKPool power grows, the number of blocks increases. Poole now finds on average 4-5 blocks a day. This week on the purse receives 30-40 payments that increases the size of the transaction and eventually (finally) leads to an increase in the size of the fee when you send BTC from the address which receives payment - in average transaction size increased by 1 KB from each 6.5 inputs. To reduce costs and save time as the pool and the miners offer to make payments once a day.
With heartfelt greetings, scopus ))

Wrong Thread. This isn't Kano pool thread. This is about the monitoring system.

567  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: April 25, 2016, 02:38:10 PM
Ho well, that's a shame ... we bought many AV6 from BlockC as philipma1957 and Kilo worked together to make all the group buy happen.

We had no issue at all with BlockC.
568  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Diff thread Apr 14 to Apr 28? picks are now closed.... prize = 0.2 btc on: April 24, 2016, 08:25:02 AM
all good news coins on coin base  are 458.

*just focusing on this Smiley rest above

I have said for a few difficulty periods I would be happy hitting 450... and we blew threw sell wall's.  I could not be happier right now seeing increase past what I thought.   I do admit after being in this game so long my speculation is not the most optomistic as I try to stay grounded... and weather good and bad.

But to almost be 460.. WOW.. we are going places.  Is this a sign before having we will see a nice increase? I sure hope so!   I don't think investors will wait till near having... so hopefully we see a nice build up well before.

And all of this helps miners as we are competing with mega mines at this point.

Maybe the ½ ing price bounce is coming?   Would be nice to see a strong price lift here.

That would be awesome !
569  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Diff thread Apr 14 to Apr 28? picks are now open.... prize = 0.2 btc on: April 21, 2016, 05:16:43 PM
We are back with a peak at 1350+ peta.

I was guessing we would not this one until the end of the diff Tongue
570  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon 6 Derping at 30C ambiant? on: April 20, 2016, 08:55:01 PM
the controller auto resets at 45C

that gear needs  a fast fan setting.  Since your first number is too hot

try 60 or 75 for the fan

this should keep the controller at a cooler temp.

Yeah mines never ramps up to full speed but they do ramp up rarely when it's very hot (not enough air flow).

I set my fans at 40% min.
571  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon 6 Derping at 30C ambiant? on: April 20, 2016, 08:31:07 PM
My ambient temps is always between 28-33 and I never had one issue with my AV6 BUT my first temperature never go over 41, currently at 39.

572  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Bitminter bitcoin mining pool - Pays TxFees, Merged Mining, Fair PPLNS rewards on: April 20, 2016, 05:33:46 PM
I went back through the blocks, I didn't make note of the time taken to get the block but back at the beginning of January there was a 99% block  Shocked

The 99.1% block I think you were talking about took 8 days 8 hours. There was also a lot more hash in the pool then. There have been plenty of 90% blocks since then, but some of those only took 4-5 days because of the higher hash on the pool.
The number of users has gone from over a 1,000 most of the time then to the low 900's now.

I don't know what it will take to get the users /hash back. But if something doesn't cause a turn-around soon, it will be time to look for another pool myself, unfortunately.
I would rather get more smaller payouts than a single payout once a week or more (8 days 19 hours now.)

I think this all goes back to the debate that was had in this thread a page or so back. More frequent smaller payouts vs. larger payouts over a longer amount of time.

Just about all of my high % shifts have fallen off the board now, so when this block is finally hit, I will have probably spent 4x more on electricity than the payout will be worth.

I was browsing other pools as an alternative last night. Some have hit over 300 blocks in the last week. I'm not talking about moving to a Chi pool, either.

I want to be loyal and stick around here, but when it costs more to stay here than to move on, I will probably have to  explore other avenues. Sad

99% block are expected, getting a stale or orphan on that particular block is also and probably just bad luck (Maybe code optimization COULD save one of those stale block but it's pure speculation). Knowing that you'll be getting high diff block in any pool and IF you decide to mine at Bitminter then, someday, you'll have to face a long period of time without getting a payment.

People have a very small memory when it come to luck. They look at feet instead of the horizon, meaning the AVG payout of this pool is far from been bad even if you hit some back luck on road which is normal.

Lower pool hashrate only means you'll have to wait longer to get a bigger payment because, yes the pool will find a block even if it takes a week.

The only issue I got with the 1 block a week/bad luck is that 1 week is about half a difficulty period and during a period of diff increment it hurts, especially when the block is stale like the last big block. But it's part of the game ... it's like getting 4 block in the same day with a super lucky day.

Running after luck is a non-winner strategy from my humble opinion.

I mined here for like a year and half, people quit on bad luck and come back when the luck is over the AVG. It's also part of the game...

I moved on, but luck as nothing to do with my decision.

There is a lot of users on the Top 50 that I have been pushed down the list but when the bigger guy quits on bad luck, they are always making their way to the top. They look on the long term.

This is just my humble opinion  Wink

any luck with this?

I moved two of my units from the garage to the solar array.

I used a  already rasp pi at the solar array.

Which means I now have a stick if you still need it.

see it in the photo

Thx. As always, you're very thoughtful. valkir in Montreal had a spare one and I should receive it today or tomorrow. Smiley
Like many, I'm following your solar project with buysolar. Seems like the way to go.

Cool, I also reply to your thread in the computer hardware, I was offering one of my spare. Guess Valkir was faster then me ;-)

Ya- I will close that thread now. It's great to know there's a few miners close to me in Quebec.

Yeah me and Valkir are friends ;-)

Sorry about that one, I guess I can't remove the unworthy block from my database until we find another one.

hello I have a big problem with kano.is I have the app on my mobile and this is the second time I receive a notification that says kano.is -Found a block! : 407 025 I went looking on my pc would write in my api /index.php?k=api&username=gegebitlover&api followed my name is my worker share Was back down while I had a lot more I went on the pool site to see the block is finding it's not me it's a fact that in User not even part of the pool I watch the first time I did the same I went to see the site is telling me to put my address bitcoin address but normally my wallet is my brief worker I started today is nothing and for two months I received micro payment that exceeds kano.is not 2euro defois 0.70euro almost every day I do not understand is my share back to zero I lost everything, help me understand I am looking to join kano not possible email address no contact please help me nothing to disgust I thank you for your reading and desoler for my english

Guys going to request him to speak to me in french to help him ;-) (I'm also telling him this is not the good thread for this support request)

http://www.kano.is/address.php?a=1KanoiBupPiZfkwqB7rfLXAzPnoTshAVmb
http://www.kano.is/worker.php?a=1KanoiBupPiZfkwqB7rfLXAzPnoTshAVmb_worker

Ce qui m'amène à penser que tu mine peut-être sur http://solo.ckpool.org/ en SOLO

http://solo.ckpool.org/users/1KanoiBupPiZfkwqB7rfLXAzPnoTshAVmb
http://solo.ckpool.org/wokers/1KanoiBupPiZfkwqB7rfLXAzPnoTshAVmb_worker

Hi, i have a problem with a miner: it only shows the temp of two boards, the central one is NOT showed. What can i do to fix this??

Thanks!!

If it's mining fine, do nothing. You have a bad a temp sensor I guess. I wouldn't be too worried since you have two good sensors ... the unit will detect if it is overheating or not.

EDIT: missing words ...
