582  Economy / Goods / Re: 1 oz Silver Engelhard Bars (Rare) .4 BTC per. on: July 30, 2013, 03:50:56 AM
Dunno anything about silver or whats legit / whats not, but just FYI to other bitcoiners, all sorts of fakes for silver and gold coins are sold cheap on Silk Road. You can buy a silver plated 1 oz fake coin for like $6 per on there. They claim it weighs the same as the real thing.

The difference is pretty obvious on those to anyone that deals with silver.  They are too thick.

I was thinking that, too. But who knows how short they are.
583  Economy / Goods / Freemason Masonic Square and Compass Ring (sz 8) on: July 30, 2013, 03:43:28 AM
In one of my recent thrift store trips I found probably the coolest thing I have to date. Its a mens ring, which according to the sizing rod is a size 8. I knew the logo on it looked familiar. I thought the "G" was an initial, but I discovered it can be part of the Free Mason logo, too (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freemasonry).
Unfortunately I'm not a size 8 or I would keep this thing and wear it. I've done some research and think its for lower-level members. Some of the ones I saw online cost tens of thousands of dollars-made of gold and encrusted with diamonds. This one is pretty basic, but still very cool. I am asking 0.4832 BTC but will consider reasonable offers. I will ship this for free inside of the USA. If you are international and interested, we can work something out-PM me!

584  Economy / Trading Discussion / Looking for Motivated Partner on: July 28, 2013, 09:46:16 AM
Hi everybody,
So I have an idea that I have been considering for a long time. I recently found a reasonable means to make it happen. It would require a lot of marketing but I am quite sure it will be a worthwhile venture.

So, basically I need a partner who is willing to "hype"/market something pretty aggressively. Besides the marketing help, I want a partner to split the cost with. The amount would literally be no more than $115.

This is very serious. I am willing to put up that amount of money myself. When you inquire and discover what it is I'm planning, I feel confident that you'll agree with me in terms of the success we would see.

I cannot stress the word serious enough. If you are curious of the idea, I will share it with you if you are a senior-enough member on here (my discretion i guess). And, I would ask that you reply with the following message:

I, (username), promise that I will not independently pursue the venture that is to be described to me buy johnniewalker (both mentioned names are usernames on the website www.bitcointalk.org, and represent the true holder of that username.

Hope to hear from you!
585  Economy / Goods / Re: 1 oz Silver Engelhard Bars (Rare) .4 BTC per. on: July 28, 2013, 02:39:46 AM
You had implied I was trying to rip people off which isn't the case. I should have definitely mentioned these were poured bars!  I wanted to get some facts across quickly and was in a rush. I hear Amagi and Agora provide topnotch services.  Wish them the best.

Here is a photo of the bars I had come across, so you'll see my asking price was plenty reasonable:

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-DtFgVWZ3fsg/UKWF7e2BfTI/AAAAAAAAFtA/emobXM-g1_8/s400/1ozEngelhardAustraliaSilver.jpg

Them being poured bars was a rather significant fact you were totally missing in the original post..
You're very right. I have been dealing in bullion (especially silver) for a while and I had never come across or even HEARD of 1oz hand-poured Engelhard bars. I did a lot of looking and this was all I could find:

http://about.ag/Engelhard-1oz.htm

Hand-poured 1ozers have to be among the rarest Engelhard products ever made-if they were truly minted by Engelhard. That I am curious about. The pour on the pictures of these is pretty terrible. I pour my own silver with a MAPP gas torch, a poor man's crucible and wood molds I buy at the craft store...they end up looking A LOT better than that. I find it difficult to believe that Engelhard would stamp such a bar with their logo (due to their respected status). Also, nearly ALL Engelhard bars ever minted have a serial number on them-these do not. I am not necessarily accusing OP of "foul play", but it would be very easy for the Chinese to produce a "hand-poured", make an Engelhard stamp and stamp it. All things considered, I would stay away from these-even though the idea of a 1oz hand-poured Engelhard bar is pretty cool.
586  Economy / Goods / Re: Silver plated bullion 1 oz on: July 27, 2013, 09:53:55 PM
I find it hilarious that so many of these "silver-plated" bars have "Nazi" or "USSR" marks. It could only be the dumbest of people who says "wow, this is a great deal on silver. AND it is historically significant!"
587  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Casascius Blanks - Different Years (Series) and Denominations! on: July 27, 2013, 09:25:26 PM
I put the word out.

Also, I'm the highest bidder on that 5BTC blank.  Cool

Nice work on that Silver Bullet collection; I'm interested to find out how high that's gonna go.
Thanks a lot. And awesome! Hope you win. That collection I put only a little over $100 into. I was lucky enough to buy the "In Debt and Death" (the first and rarest of the bunch) at my local coin shop in a "bin" they put all the "generic" rounds they buy from people in. That motivated me to get the rest of them. Had to get the Trivium on eBay but Amagi sold all the others for about $22. So I'm excited to see what it goes for too!
588  Economy / Goods / Re: 1 oz Silver Engelhard Bars (Rare) .4 BTC per. on: July 27, 2013, 09:21:51 PM
I have NEVER seen or even heard of poured 1oz Engelhard bars. Do you still have them?
589  Economy / Goods / Re: 1 oz Silver Engelhard Bars (Rare) .4 BTC per. on: July 26, 2013, 10:09:44 AM
Hold on, so BTC5 for 13 oz. of silver? BTC0.38/oz.? These must be EXTREMELY rare collector's items.  Roll Eyes
Yeah for real. Maybe its made of gold or something.

590  Other / Off-topic / "Official" Bitcoin Logo (What If) on: July 26, 2013, 09:42:25 AM
I'm just curious what image of a bitcoin people find the most attractive. Of course there is the Casascius logo. As far as the rest-just do an image search for "bitcoins".
591  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Ray Ban Shades High Quality on: July 26, 2013, 08:16:09 AM
The sunglasses are sold very well so I'm not doing any major discount right now. The quality of the product is guaranteed. Check my store on bitmit:

https://www.bitmit.net/en/user/kira4light/?ref=22255

For bulk buyers (>= 2 pairs) I can give you slightly better offer.

So only PM me if you want to buy more than 1 pair. Otherwise just click on the link. Bulk buyers can also contact me for "buy-it-now" option.

When I say high quality I really mean it. The shades are well made and have practically no difference from the original one (check out the pictures). You can easily resell it anywhere for over 50 bucks. I used to sell them at 60-70 USD .

Each pair comes with tags, factory box, soft case, cleaning cloth and information pamphlet.

The items include:

RB2140 White Logo Mania (the color/pattern of the frame)
RB2140 Red Logo Mania
RB2140 Classic Tortoise
RB2140 Classic Black
RB2140 Rare Prints with Red Flower
RB2140 Classic Red
RB2140 Silvertone Logo

RB3025 Gunmetal Brown (Gunmetal frame with brown glasses)
RB3025 Glod Brown
RB3025 Glod Mirror
RB3025 Silver Brown
RB3025 Silver Green
RB3025 Silver Mirror

My bitcoin address: 1AMzhYWs1Z1dAhihyqCYuPX12SJJvABodH

I met somebody from Craigslist at Sunglasses Hut the other day. I bought a pair of Wayfarers from them and wanted to confirm authenticity. They were real. The guy from Sunglasses Hut said specifically that all the different color and pattern options aren't offered by Ray Ban, they're good fakes coming from China.
Not trying to oust OP but just think people should be in the know.
592  Economy / Goods / [WTS] Casascius Blanks - Different Years (Series) and Denominations! on: July 25, 2013, 09:56:23 AM
Hi everybody,

I like to redeemed Casascius coins (the physical aspect is impressive enough for me!

Please PM or post your offers for a specific blank on here. If I like it, the blank is yours! Also, I'll send each blank out in an airtite case. If you want to load bitcoins onto them again, I will explain very thoroughly how (even though its very easy). I will also include the materials you need (tamper-proof hologram).

Anyways, I have some 2011, 2012, and 2013 1BTC blanks.
I only have one more 5BTC blank. It was never used-bought it as a "roll your own" from Casascius. However, I have one for sale at auction here:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/221258080193?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

I am willing (if you are the winning bidder) to accept payment in bitcoins. If you didn't win the auction but still want it, let me know. I will decide the better offer (cash or BTC equivalent).

The other 5 I have that I mentioned I have I would like to keep. But, EVERYTHING has its price!

Please feel free to refer anyone looking for a particular blank to me. Also, if you want to sell a blank or blanks, send me a PM. I've bought a lot of these things so I can determine what a fair price is ; )

Thanks!

(only some of my stock)

593  Economy / Goods / Re: Cases for ALL Casascius Physical Bitcoins [Including Silver!] on: July 25, 2013, 12:54:24 AM
BUMP for carrying cases of all Casascius coin denominations/series-even the new silver ones!
594  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Several Casascius Physical Bitcoins, 1BTC (2013) on: July 24, 2013, 10:17:04 AM
Is it available with black case?  Smiley

Yeah of course. I buy the cases in bulk. First time I asked for 50% white, 50% black. But to my surprise, EVERYBODY wanted black. Lol I prefer the white-I think it makes it look "cleaner". But to each his own

ALSO, BUMP-COINS STILL AVAILABLE
595  Economy / Goods / Re: Gold Silver Bitcoin Discounted Gold on: July 22, 2013, 11:27:18 PM
Good thing gold is up!
596  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Literally one of the Rarest Casascius Items (In His Words) on: July 22, 2013, 10:14:45 AM
I know *regretful face* lol just kidding, happy to contribute to your project. its very cool and I think it will just become more visited as time  goes on.

597  Economy / Goods / [WTS] Literally one of the Rarest Casascius Items (In His Words) on: July 21, 2013, 10:27:03 AM
I could explain what this is, but I think it'd be more fitting if
Casascius did (excerpt taken directly from email):

"I don’t think I’ll end up doing more 5 blanks, as I (to my surprise) am finding that people still want 5BTC coins.  I have no idea why.  But I think I will end up making hologrammed coins out of my remaining stock and then that’s it.  So your blanks indeed will be relatively rare.  I think I may have shipped out less than 1000 total blanks."

You might think that you can turn a 5BTC coin into one of these "blanks" by just getting all remnants of the hologram off. But, whatever you do, someone (maybe a trained eye) will notice its a "circulated" coin. An original blank (like this) is obviously not circulated, and so it looks perfect on BOTH sides-(see pictures). And the overarching thing - if Casascius made it and confirms it is real-it is just that ; )

So, realize what it truly is you're buying!

*Case is included. This round has only been handled by gloved hands.*

I'm not putting a price on it. Please either post or PM me your offers. If I see one I like, I'll take it. Otherwise, I'm keeping it.

**note to Casascius: Hope its ok I referenced you. If not, let me know.**

I have this auction listed on eBay for the first 6 SBSS silver rounds:

If you're interested, I would happily accept Bitcoins!

599  Economy / Goods / [WTS] Ancient Rome 90% Silver Denarius 140 BC, Head of Roma (Lucretius Trio) on: July 18, 2013, 02:54:42 AM
Hi everybody,
I'm in need of some bitcoins so I've decided to sell one of my ancients. Its a 90% Silver Roman Denarius. It is probably the most "reasonable" ancient I have (a couple are in the thousands). I am asking , which includes free insured shipping anywhere in the US. I am open to shipping internationally-I could do it for $4 unregistered...the price jumps to about $20 if registered. Although, I have never had a problem shipping regular First Class mail, I'll package it carefully and discreetly.

Interestingly (because of its modest price), this is one of the oldest coins I have at around 140 BC. The strike is not quite centered, but all features are prominent. It is this same coin:

http://www.mfa.org/collections/object/denarius-with-head-of-roma-struck-under-cn-lucretius-trio-227168

http://www.harvardartmuseums.org/art/186514

w/auction price (a more centered strike with more luster):

Awesome. Respect for using an unredeemed coin. You should check eBay. You can get some nice silver chains for cheap. I did and did the same thing...made pendants out of coins and stuff. I think they were silver plated (they said 925...but they were from China). Anyways, here's the link on eBay
