581  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [Discussion] Post Bursting sa Forum on: October 16, 2022, 04:26:04 PM

582  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Parents And Their Children In Gambling.. on: October 16, 2022, 04:15:32 PM
You know, it's really hard to scold someone, a child when your at most guilty of the ae crime. It's not a very good position especially when your also on the same position. You kind of restle with your conscience and as a result, you don't often come off with the right words or make the most impact.

That's why it's important that your kids don't get to find you in such habits. You might as well be there Hero and like there hero, they would tend to walk the path you on and you know what the result would be, disaster.

Gambling is for the matured in mind and those whom knows when to continue or stop. It's not a thing for children and it should be kept from them, as far away as possible.
As a parent, you should be able to handle child even with scolding. Not because you are doing something that you don't want your child to do means that can't say something about it and prohibit them from doing it. Also, it should not affect your conscience as you should know that prohibiting them is the right thing. Things could go wrong even what you say if you think that what you're doing is wrong.

You can still be someone your child to look up on or a "Hero" even with things that you don't want them to do. You just need to prove them and let them what the things they should idolised you.

583  Economy / Gambling / Re: To what extent do you chase anonymity while gambling? on: October 16, 2022, 03:46:50 PM
<snip>
We know that playing online on crypto casinos offers anonymity, but recently these platforms are choosing to be more regulated, because of that, the possibility of being asked for a KYC is much higher compared to the recent years.
Personally, I would choose being anonymous if I think I cannot trust the casino and/or the amount of fund that I can't withdraw is not worth of the KYC documents.
Actually, most casinos also prefers not to ask their gamblers with any KYC documents however they have no choice but to comply as their business will be compromise if they do follow with the regulations set by the government.

Still, some casinos are trying to tie their withdrawal option with KYC requirements which caused some of the gamblers having their funds locked from on the account. It's best to only provide your information to few casino that you trust to avoid future issue involving your identity.
584  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a game you would like to see in an online crypto casino? on: October 16, 2022, 03:03:33 PM
Hey Bitcointalkers,

What games do you like to play (mobile, board games, easy game with friends, etc.) that you would love to see put into an online casino for real betting?

There have been a lot of successful yet simple games in online casinos like Heads or Tails, Over/Under, and more. We are looking to see what games you guys love and wonder if we can turn them into an online betting game!

I've always wanted a Monopoly game or even a Monopoly game in Let's get rich, which would be very exciting to be in an online casino game. I think this will also attract a lot of attention, although it will be quite difficult for developers.
That might actually be a great idea especially since monopoly is game that involves money and it can some players from the monopoly community. If you think of it, almost all mobile and online games could be transitioned to a casino game such as UNO where all player will place a bet per game and the winner will receive all the bet.
585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casinos vs money laundering. on: October 16, 2022, 02:50:23 PM
Actually no one force you to play on new casinos Grin why we need to play on new casinos when we already know the trusted and reputable casinos that operated until now? it's similar like centralized exchanges. I didn't want to touch any new casinos even though they have an interesting promotion or high bonus because any sites can offer to good to be true, but only few sites are reputable and don't lying to their customers.

I still stick with my old casinos and I never regret with my decision until now.

Same. The casino is a very high-risk topic (not in the sense of gambling, but in the sense of the player-casino relationship), so if I find a suitable casino where everything suits me and there are no problems, then I will never even try other projects. Even if there are some temporary promotions, it is unlikely that this will make me take risks and just strain for the sake of insignificant (compared to the comfort of playing in a trusted casino) bonuses.
To be honest, I don't think there's much problem if you'll try other gambling platform as long as you think that those are reputable enough. I've been with multiple gambling platform and tried to gamble on some of them however I never tried to do any KYC to avoid any future conflict. Still, staying on just a few casinos is one of the best choices rather than sticking with multiple casinos.
586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling, tourism and legal gambling age for gamblers around the world. on: October 16, 2022, 01:58:29 PM
I agree with you, for me Las Vegas is a gambling paradise with all those big casinos, I haven't had the opportunity to go there, but honestly when I go, I have to go and play, I hope I have a lot of money to spend and I don't It hurts me to spend it, and I have as a premise that the money you take to a casino is to have fun and to spend it however you want, that is why at that time I will not be ashamed to use it however I want, for me what I am most looking for in a casino is to be able to feel that emotion, that adrenaline that the game produces, the feeling that you can win a lot, and that those spectacular memories remain, like the music, the people who are there, that is, everything.

Sounds like a plan! By the way, have you ever thought about actually doing this? After all, if you want it so much, why not? As I understand the approximate budget (minimum) for a trip there will be around 5k dollars (or am I mistaken?)? I'm not from the US and don't know the prices there. But if I wanted to go there so badly, I would start by finding out exactly how much money I need for this.
For a Vegas trip, I'm pretty sure it's not enough since $5k budget can only pay for your airfare, foods, hotel and transpo so technically you should have other budget for your gambling activities. This is also my dream, to gamble in other country and honestly, my first goal is to go to Macau for now and gamble there, I heard a good reviews of casinos there and it's really one of the tourist spot as well. Anyway, other countries have a lot of restriction with regards to gambling, the age limit should be a concern here and the campaign of the government against illegal gambling should be more strict.

I have a friend working as a manager at McDonalds in Las Vegas. I was tempted to visit there but I also do not want to spend a lot of money gambling there. There are great casinos in my place where I can spend less. But if I can earn some extra money, I will go there and feel the extra vibes. Without including the travel expenses going in and out of Las Vegas, $5k budget will do. Cheap rooms are not too pricey, there are $50 to $100 per night and they are good rooms in good hotels after all. That is a good amount already to hop on to different casinos, gamble some of it and grab some beer.
That's the thing, if you're going on vacation there are people who would like to spend a lot on most of their trips especially for foods and accommodation however it shouldn't always be the case. You can just find some hotels outside the casino which is almost as good so that you'll have more funds for other things like gambling. If you've come to Las Vegas to gamble, it's better to save some of your expenses on other things so you'll have more funds to gambling activities. I'm sure 5k USD is more than enough for your flight, accommodation, foods and gambling leisures.
587  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cashback VS Bonus on: October 16, 2022, 11:03:11 AM
<snip>
Usually the casino management will try to even up the bonuses for both types (Cashback/lose back or just a different bonus). Because of that I would pick either of it, whatever I feel I like to pick on that moment. Cash backs are just some classic giving back of the casino from what you've lost, on the other hand, I find the exclusive bonus from the casino more exciting, probably I'll take that more often than just cash backs.
I would also prefer the cashback aspect because it will be a very good moment when someone gambles and loses all his money and then he gets some cashback from his lost money then it will give him a lot of joy and prevent him from getting offset so this is a good aspect for me will be considered as then Bonus system
That could be a great cashback bonus if you will be able to receive those funds back as soon as your gambling session ends. However, that is not always the case as most casino that offer cashback will only credit it on your account either every week or every month. I would also very much prefer a cashback if I'll be rewarded as soon as possible.
588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Split the prize or Reroll? on: October 16, 2022, 09:13:33 AM
Let's say you join a give away with other user and both have to select a number between 1 and 10, you go for 7 while he goes for 9. The winning number is 8.

If the prize is 0.1BTC what would you do? Split the prize and walk away with 0.05 or Reroll to gamble for the full prize?
I would just split the prize since it is already a good amount of money and I could buy so many things from that prize.
I don't want to be consumed by my greed anymore just like what happens in the past either it is in gambling or at trading.
I used to aim for a higher profit and end up losing instead of gaining.
For me it is more ideal thing to do than getting greedy because we make another reroll there's a chance that you don't get the rewards instead of getting the half there's an assurance already that you are one of the winners. But of course if you are a risky taker another game of all or nothing to win the game.
Actually if the closest number will win the full amount then the most ideal choice is to re-roll. Imagine if you roll number from 1-7, you'll be able to win the whole amount since you'll be the closest number to it. Also, if you roll another 8, you can still receive a half prize. The only way you'll lose if you re-roll is when 9 or 10 will be rolled on and that's like 8/10 or 80% winning rate on you.

But still, without knowing the full context as well as the condition of the giveaway, we cannot fully decide wether to split it or to re-roll.
589  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I find way to win on dice on: October 15, 2022, 07:27:40 PM
This will be a sad ending if you don't have enough in your bag, and you keep on losing until you are depleted.
It's a strategy for the rich, I hope you are. It's not really new though, and this works best using cryptocurrencies where you could start really small.
Something like Dogecoin if it's available but it will still depend on how much the minimum bet the online casino is accepting because some of them are using dollar base exchange in cryptocurrencies.
Example: 17 Doge minimum = $1
Actually, most gambling platforms will allow you to be the smallest possible amount in terms of crypto. You can bet even 1 satoshi per roll on most dice site and same goes for any crypto available on the platform.

Martingale strategy is a great strategy on dice games however it will require a ton of bankroll as well as a lot of patience since you will need to gamble a small amount to keep it running for a long run. I've tried this strategy a couple of times and I've only won a couple of coins since my starting bet was too small.

Anyways, the longer you run the martingale strategy the higher the possibility you lose all your bankroll as you will encounter a series of losing streak.
590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is It An Easy Transition From Gamer To Gambler In Casino. on: October 15, 2022, 06:01:22 PM
And so you mean just because the game involves money, then it could also be considered gambling?
Though gaming and gambling may have few similarities, but this one doesn't make enough sense to me, If I understand you correctly.
I think the user doesn't mean the way you understand it.

If we try to be specific, if the gamer tops-up money for the purpose of trying their luck at the gambling part of the game, which is by trying the roll or spins with the chance of getting good items, then that's what we call gambling.

Generally, doing top-ups on the game does have different purposes.
If a gamer have topped-up for the sake of trying some loot boxes to win some items that has greats stats, then I don't entirely think that it will fall under gambling exactly, more like borderline gambling, especially if those items does not have any monetary value.

But still, do you consider yourself a gamer if you mostly play on minigames such as lootbox opening and gacha?
591  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you visit the casino while travelling? on: October 15, 2022, 04:56:42 PM
Hey guys!
Some of us are occupied in i-Gaming industry, some are just players...but apart from leisure&profession there are still old good offline casinos all around the world.
Today Im thinking if visiting an offline casino is out of date or still a good place to visit while travelling?
Do you visit casinos when you travel? How often? Which ones?
Let's remember of old good times Cheesy
for now offline casinos for me are less comfortable to visit, as we know gambling is always viewed negatively by people, if I visit offline casinos of course other people will think I am bad, apart from tarnishing my own reputation of course they will see me as a wasteful person  can spend money easily to gamble
Only a few number of people really mind if you do gamble or not and it is not always viewed as a negative thing if you try and gamble. Also, how can gambling whether from an offline or online casino will tarnish someone's reputation? Did you stole the money you've gambled with? Did it affect you or anyone around you negatively while you're gambling? If not, then there's nothing wrong on you gambling and it will not affect your reputation at all.

For me, if someone judge you gambling on a negative manner then it's their reputation being ruined and not yours.
592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What contests do you want to see on the Dice platform? on: October 15, 2022, 04:17:01 PM
It's hard to think of any contest that we could relate to a dice game. I guess it will be better if you'll just provide bonuses and rewards on your site that could attract and excite more players. Dice is already a common and simple game so it doesn't need any complex contests. In some casinos, they have wagering contests which are also exciting so you can do the same context or you can also provide free play.
That's the thing, dice game is one of the most common and simple among any casino however if that's the only game you have on your platform, then it's best to maximize it's potential as well as promotion. Actually there are a few contest that has been raised on the forum however most of it are from Primedice. Right now, most of their contests and promotions are now being done on their PD forum. Anyways, most of the contest are with different multiplier.
593  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you choose cryptocurrency as full time job? on: October 15, 2022, 03:55:43 PM
We are in a world people desire to work in oil company, banking firm and while others choose to in different organizations been a corporate office jobs just to answer am working in so so company, but can you choose crypto as full time corporate job?
I'm not really sure how to answer this but yes you can example like working on exchange or writting some blog or making video about crypto, The other way was working as Blockchain developer on some sector like Oil, Market, Food, etc and also being a lawyer or even marketing on some blockchain-based company
There are various opportunities that one can work on the crypto industry. Also, there are already some company that works with various cryptocurrency.

Just as you've mentioned, articles and news writer are pretty much common on crypto. Also, various types of developer are quite in demand on crypto industry and you can apply to various altcoins as a developer whether it's a backend or frontend job.

Being a full time trader on cryptocurrencies is also a common thing where even these people stop their full time job to focus on trading.
594  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you name your child after a crypto?? on: October 15, 2022, 03:29:12 PM
Do you think anyone is named after a crypto today?
Highly likely, I am 100% sure that there are already a lot of child out there that has been named after a cryptocurrencies especially with bitcoin. With how parents are naming their child nowadays, crypto-based names could be a quite common choice.
Is there a kid out there named Doge? hehe  Grin
Based from this reddit post looks like there is someone named after dogecoin.Reddit: Got a little one on the way. If Doge reach $2 in 8months I will name my child Doge

As for the topic, yes, I can imagine myself naming my child after a crypto as some of them are already based from the name of the creator of the token and some crypto out there has great name.
595  Economy / Economics / Re: Meta has burned $15 billion trying to build the metaverse on: October 15, 2022, 02:55:11 PM
If Facebook, with all this budget and materials, has not yet been able to build a good metaverse model, then what about these coins that are trying to scam investors with 100k ICO, Bounty, .....
this industry and Web V3 is for multi billion companies more than something small businesses can build.
Completely disagree with you comparing facebook to other tokens that started thru ICO or IPO. Facebook's company may have one of the largest company to start something on the crypto industry however it doesn't guarantee that they could succeed to anything they plan to.
Each and every startup crypto has different usecase which is why some of them failed and some of them end up a success. You don't need to have a multi billion company for your project to succeed but rather be able to follow through your plans and roadmap.
596  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [Discussion] Post Bursting sa Forum on: October 15, 2022, 02:42:27 PM

2. Massive posts in a day- Considered din na burst posting to. Like itong sa amin maximum 6 in a day which means kailangan mo pa din minimum 5 days para matapos.

597  Economy / Gambling / Re: How is the performance of gambling tokens compare to other altcoins and btc on: October 15, 2022, 02:05:03 PM
Almost all altcoins follow through the price of Bitcoin as what we see on the market whenever bitcoin is down so other tokens out there, and it also affects them during the bull run of bitcoin where it pulls all the price of almost every crypto. Casino's tokens are also included on these crypto that are affected by bitcoin price volatility. However, each and every news and update that will cause the price change varies to every casino and project.
If we had known that all altcoins followed the bitcoin price, we would be careful to buy the coin, even if it was a casino token, and learn what the profit could be. But when the bitcoin bull run comes, it doesn't guarantee all the casino tokens can also increase because it will depend on the response of traders and investors. Maybe if there were more benefits for traders and investors, it could lift the price to a higher price level.
Once bitcoin will begin it's bullrun, there's a high possibility that all altcoins out there especially those that has an active trade paired with bitcoin will increase in value as well. It is not a guarantee to increase but it is highly possible once bitcoin bullruns. These can be also seen to those new tokens that started during the market bullrun as the price rapidly increase comparatively to major tokens out there.
598  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: UNIONBANK WILL OFFER CRYPTO EXHANGE SOON? on: October 15, 2022, 01:56:11 PM
Nangyare ren sa akin ito, though they are just asking for additional KYC pero nakakapanic talaga at first kase hinde mo alam kung ano ang nangyare pero we have no choice but to follow or submit their requirements or else baka hinde na mabalik yung limit at worst, baka mafreeze talaga ng tuluyan ang ating pera.

599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Split the prize or Reroll? on: October 15, 2022, 01:36:39 PM
I don’t get it. The winning number is 8. How is that a win for both of them when they didn’t pick the right one? It should be a reroll in my opinion. Doesn’t make sense that they deserve to win either of them. Is there a condition that isn’t mentioned here? Idk.
That's the thing, we don't have any idea of the condition for the giveaway which is for me the logical thing to do is to reroll as it seems that the closest number will be the winner in which OP has a very high chances of getting.
600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Survey] Do you still play or stop the game? on: October 15, 2022, 11:48:57 AM
I've encountered this situation multiple times while gambling, playing slots. On this situation, it depends on my goal while playing if whether I'll stop or continue playing. However, I've answered, Yes, on the poll as I mostly lean on stopping while I'm ahead especially when my bankroll is a considerable amount. In most times, I stop playing even if I'm just 1.5x ahead of my whole initial bankroll however I continue playing when my bankroll isn't that high and wanted to have some entertainment and test my luck.
