581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When the fun stops on: September 19, 2023, 11:15:53 PM
Online gambling platforms exists not only to get you some lucky wins, it's also another form of entertainment,  but I will like to ask if truly you people are getting that entertainment from gambling?
If you're playing with a desire to have then for sure you'll be entertained since you're not after money. However, if your main reason on why you gamble is to win and become rich, even the game is exciting and enjoyable, it can't entertain you because you have a set goal on why gamble. So its effect depends on the gambler's purpose on why he/she gamble.

Some people already feel like they are not having fun, because what they have in mind is making money, to all people that feels this way, If you feel like you aren't having fun I believe for the greater good, it's better to take a break from gambling and do something else.

Do you agree or disagree?
I agree. As I have said if you gamble because of the potential winnings, this is not healthy since you're expecting something in gambling that's why you play. Gambling is not a reliable way to earn money therefore should not be treated as your source of income. Unfortunately many gamblers with such desire ignored the risk and the consequences of their actions.
582  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: September 19, 2023, 08:34:01 AM

I agree if they are destined to fight, then they will have their chance to face each other.  It is that Casimero's action is too obvious that he is frustrated to fight Inoue as soon as possible, or it is just some gimmick so that he can gain some attention since Inoue is one of the hottest boxer today.

Both avenues can lead to a faster Casimero vs. Inoue fight. If fans continue to call for the fight as Casimero taunts Inoue, they may play a significant role in pushing for this matchup. Additionally, Casimero is taking the right approach by continuing to fight and improve his ranking. Perhaps Inoue will consider facing Casimero once he becomes the undisputed champion in the super bantamweight division.
Casimero has been consistent in taunting Inoue, but the fight has yet to materialize. Inoue recognizes that the matchup is considered a significant one, even though Casimero is not currently a champion. The hype generated by Casimero has reached a large number of fans, and interestingly, there are even Filipinos who don't believe Casimero would win due to his attitude. So, his strategy to gain attention has proven to be very effective.
Even before, Casimero is eager to fight Inoue and it became a hype that many fans are looking forward for this to push through. Inoue is a monster and a champion so fighting him can make Casimero's name popular among other boxers. But the question is, do he stand a chance to win? For now, he needs to prove himself by winning through KO since his opponent is not someone who can bring him into the limelight.
583  Economy / Speculation / Re: Impact of bitcoin price speculations on individual bitcoin holding on: September 19, 2023, 07:25:58 AM
So my question is, what has been the impact of Bitcoin market speculation on your Bitcoin/DCA approach on the Bitcoin accumulation journey?
Well, my decision to accumulate is not influenced by any speculators since i'm doing my own analysis. Though it's nice to read a positive and optimistic speculation regarding Bitcoin because that can encourage other investors to not panic in times the market is in red status.

I'm not using DCA strategy to accumulate. I'm buying when I have budget and if the price is less expensive. Anyway, it's fine if you tend to follow the speculation of those so called experts. But just keep in mind to still have your own analysis so that you can tell if the speculation has a basis.
584  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Never Marry a Coin/Project - Practically Example on: September 19, 2023, 02:32:13 AM
This is why in every investment, there is a need to set a target selling price. I do not think the person stated by @OP married the coin/project or whatever@OP means by holding it and not selling the coins.  I believe he just set his selling price at $1 and since it is not met, he has no choice but to continue hodling.
There's nothing wrong if you have a set target price on when to sell BUT don't forget to take profit at times. In this case, the guy became greedy even he already made a huge profit from his initial investment. He chose not to sell and wait, not knowing the price of Doge will plunged after hitting an all time high.

I also have regrets in the past due to greed. That's why if there's a chance to take profit, I don't hesitate selling some to enjoy what I gained. Moreover, I learned not to hold and rely on coins that have no real use case because the profits are not guaranteed.
585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A person who won 600k$ in lottery on: September 18, 2023, 06:57:05 AM
In short, he became a victim of people who were arrogant towards others. And in an instant, his luck gradually disappeared as if he had become a withered vegetable, at the beginning he was happy with his success and the large amount of money he won. But with the passage of time and expenses careless decisions resulted in the loss of his wealth. he had expensive expenses such as buying a mansion house, cars and other properties.
As they say, a money came from luck is easy to spend while if the money is earned through hard work, you'll value it more and this is certainly true. This story is not the first time for me to see a lottery winner lost everything after a wrong decision. Expensive way of living and spending on not necessary things (leisure) with people around taking advantage what you have is the wrong move that you'll only realize after losing it all.

Everyone will be there if you have money but in times of hardship there's only few that you can depend on, majority will just turn their back. It's good to be generous but be wise to secure your future (and your family) before anything else since it's a once in a lifetime opportunity and not everyone are fortunate to experience.
586  Economy / Gambling / Re: Slot Educational on: September 18, 2023, 04:27:29 AM

Exactly, what they are doing is showing gambling promotion in slot games; that's the simplest logic I saw in the parade. Maybe the costumed characters in the slot games can be said to entertain and bring joy to the children in the video.

Watch again, they are not promoting slots gambling but rather they are doing an information parade campaign where the organizer is trying to show the effect of gambling to a person's finance.  Although they could have improved the performance on the parade by adding more effect  which can be written or shown on the  bannner.
They're not promoting yes, but the way they did the parade the props and character used, it's like a show that entertaining the people. The message and intention are good but if i'm one of the audience, as a curious person who don't know about this slot game then I might search what this game is (and who knows what's going to happen next).

Anyway, I think banner is not sufficient, there should be a speaker announcing the negative effect of gambling so that people became aware of it and not solely through this parade without anyone educating the people.
587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Tax Efficient With Your Gambling Habbits? on: September 18, 2023, 02:54:35 AM
Are we talking about crypto gambling which we do online or physical gambling which we do at physical casinos? Because due the to decentralised nature of cryptos, no person or organisation can know that how much money you have made from gambling. Hence you are saved from paying unnecessary taxes. On the other hand, if you are gambling at a physical casino, then they will have certain rules regarding the taxes and fees. Moreover I am highly doubting that any person gambling with cryptocurrencies will be paying taxes to the government every year.
Indeed. Playing online saves a gambler from paying tax (well at least here) because the Government is not aware how much winnings or losses you spent for the particular casino especially if you're using crypto. So there's no way they can charge me, but this is not the case on land based casino.

Let's say you play lottery and able to win a jackpot. Before you'll get your money, necessary charges are already deducted so it's automatically reflected on how much you can only get in your winning amount. In land based casino here, the tax for $200 below is 10% and 20% if more than that amount. But this is only applicable for physical casino and not for online casino winnings/losses.
Pero hindi ba kapag too good to be true dapat kana magduda?

589  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino features you like and Don't like but you don't mind on: September 17, 2023, 08:12:29 AM
So you have been a gambler for at least 1year. Before Covid, you were a regular at the physical casino in your locality. You gambled with fiat. But when Covid hit, you discovered online casinos. You didn't need to gamble with fiat anymore but with cryptocurrencies. You tried out many online casinos but finally settled for one or two. There's no perfect casinos but you have stuck with this one occasionally trying out new casinos as advertised on the forum or out there but you still return to your favorite casinos. What are the features in your favorite casinos that you like that makes you keep going back and what are the features that you don't like at your favorite casino but you overlook them and still play there?
The UI, instant withdrawal, responsive support and user friendly mobile version are the features I like on the casino where I usually play. What I don't like, game restrictions due to its provider and the fact that I have to comply on kyc verification (though I already did) because I still value my privacy. But since this casino is trustworthy and been here for years it's not an issue anymore.
590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why gambling beginners must not joke with casino announcement on: September 17, 2023, 06:20:28 AM
Of course, we can force them to make use of our advice but a stitch in time saves nine and it's better to listen than for them to make unnecessary scam accusation thread.
If they complain about experiencing fraud from the casino, it seems to be their own fault for not being careful enough in looking for the casino. If they can be careful in their casino selection process and not rush to find more information, they will not run into serious problems such as scams. Only those who can find more information by reading reviews from these forums can find a casino that suits them. And even though it may take some time before they can find the casino, I think it's still worth it because it's related to the money they'll use to gamble.
Yes, it's their fault, not ours since the necessary advice is provided but they choose not to follow it. However, seeing their complaints and scam accusations thread makes me feel sad.
Another mistake newbies gamblers make is casino reviewing website recommendation which is manipulated by the reviewing website team based on the paycheck they are receiving from the casino.
Many review sites are not reliable and as you've said they're paid to manipulate and make a positive reviews even the specific site is not recommendable. Thus we should not entirely rely on review sites and choose a casino based on the experience of the real gamblers here and our own research to know how reputable the platform.

When it comes to new casino, it's usual to have doubts at first. The good thing of having an ANN thread here is we can ask questions and observe if the casino is not a scam and worth to give a try playing.
591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you manage your money on gambling sites. on: September 17, 2023, 04:19:31 AM
Why do they leave that much in there, or is it simply for show off?
It's likely for showoff. I'd like to believe that after doing so, they will withdraw the money. Otherwise it's a mistake to leave a huge amount on your account because you can lose it again. But there are gamblers who feel satisfied if they can showoff their winnings to others, it's something to be proud of for them and that's understandable.

In my case, i'm just an average gambler so I only use a small amount to play. If I got lucky and able to win a decent, I withdraw the money to prevent myself using it again. Then I'll come back after a week, that's what I used to when i'm playing.
592  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: September 17, 2023, 02:50:57 AM

maybe that is the reason why the team changed that rules in bonus spins because some are just partaking to have that free spins even if their entry is not as competent than others submitted .

Oops, I think I have also missed this opportunity but I was honestly careless to read all the terms and conditions about the artwork contest. Maybe I am too used to artwork contest that I know old rules where you just have to submit artwork, best submission gets the winning entry after Roobet team select it and that’s all. :-)

It’s fair from the Roobet team that they have changed the rules to the above quoted post since it’s not getting much of the attention.  Or there could false submissions with so called “instant” submission too. Whatever it is, it’s way professional and thoughtful contest so far. I think we deserve this as always.
You have been participating since Day one mate if i remember it correctly but never that you come across that give away?  Cheesy Grin Grin
or maybe you have been awarded but you did not come to claim because you have no idea at all?
but anyway , this past event I noticed you are not joining or sending one of your craft ? specially your very complicated skills in Pencil making art?
The bonus free spins are just recently added on the rules, started last May with the theme Roo Rock the Cosmos. This is due to the AI arts submitted of some users who joined this contest. Hence, it is added so the artists can show their work in progress as proof that it's not made through AI. Anyway yes, it's been a while since we last saw @so98nn participated on art contest with his pencil carving skills. Do you still have plan to join again?
593  Economy / Gambling / Re: No KYC Crypto Casinos & Sites | NoToKYC.com | Exclusive Bonuses on: September 17, 2023, 01:14:16 AM
Hi, i visited your site and and skimmed the casinos you are claiming to have no kyc. Quotes i am adding next to Casino names are directly from these sites.

-SNIP

Hello,
all KYC levels are determined together with the casino teams.
Licensed casinos have to include kyc terms to comply with the license laws, this does not mean they will do KYC!
The KYC levels are defined if KYC is needed and when.
You can't be so certain that the casino will not really ask KYC on their users since they're regulated. It's still on their discretion and can be asked at anytime, maybe if the time comes you win a decent amount on their platform.

Anyway, I appreciate the effort for making these lists. However, those casinos are not really a no kyc platform. Therefore gamblers must read the ToS (especially the kyc section) before considering to try playing.
594  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good time to sell? on: September 15, 2023, 04:45:35 AM
How do you determine when is the good time to sell?
In general, the good time to sell is of course when the price is already increasing. But many of us prefer to wait longer (this is understandable) for wanting more then ending up missed the opportunity to take profit. Anyway, it depends on what we prefer, if you're already happy with what you gained, sell. Small or big, that's still a profit and that's what matter here.

Do you have a set "goal" price at which you'd be selling no matter what happens?
I actually I have a set target price on when to sell. But I can't say for now if I will go all in, then buy again when the price decreased or just take profit and still hold some. Let's just see if the time comes.
595  Economy / Economics / Re: If the global economy collapses what's the first thing you do? on: September 15, 2023, 02:37:08 AM
Honestly if you have BTC congrats !!! We are heading  into a major economic shift and I feel like when the tides are turning like this there should be a conscious effort to land on the right side of that shift!!! Am I right? What should bitcoiners be doing right now to prepare for a potential global economic hardship other than the obvious which is to hodl and accumulate as much as you can...
If this scenario happened (and yes it's turning worse currently), I think aside from holding my crypto in my wallet for future gains. I will focus on what can give me an income to still survive and that is through looking for an opportunity for additional income. It could be building a business that is timely and still indemand or switching to agriculture since we have land that can be use for farming.

It's better to have a plan and be prepared but the current situation is what we should think about. Because we don't even know if we're still existing if such unfortunate incident (global economy collapse) happened.
596  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin holder are not maximizing the bitcoin potential on: September 15, 2023, 12:31:49 AM
It's interesting to note that many Bitcoin holders might not be fully capitalizing on the inherent volatility of this digital asset. The Bitcoin market can undergo price fluctuations of around 3 to 4 times in a single day, which offers ample opportunities for those who choose to engage in active trading.
Well, to be a trader doesn't necessarily mean you can always timing the price fluctuations to profit. Because it requires knowledge, strategy, analysis and time management, these are crucial if you're going to be a trader. Moreover not all traders are gaining, the reason why some of them chose to just hold their Bitcoin because it is less stressful.

I'm an active trader before who turned a long term hodler. This suits me and more beneficial. If you're able to profit in trading then good for you. But keep in mind that you can't dictate the people here to do as you say since we have different strategy to maximize our chance to profit in crypto regardless of as a trader or long term hodler.
597  Local / Pamilihan / Re: buying monetized Youtube channel on: September 14, 2023, 04:28:00 AM
Parang malabo 'yang hinahanap mo, kahit ako if monetized channel ko with monthly passive income di ko talaga ibebenta. Unless bilhin mo with  at least, 1 year revenue ng channel. And if kung bibili ka, number of subscribers matters, more subs mas malaki offer.

Pero syempre nga more viewers, more kita.

598  Economy / Speculation / Re: The future of Bitcoin: Bullish or Bearish on: September 14, 2023, 02:24:37 AM
Bitcoin's recent performance has raised concerns
I'll stop you right there: bitcoin's performances can cause concerns only to people who don't know (or understand) what bitcoin is and, especially, they think only short term. If someone is worried because bitcoin lost 10-20% it's just not for them, at the end bitcoin never pretended to be something for everyone.
Well said. It's understandable if many investors are worried when there's a correction but just stop there, don't think negatively further. Because if we did our research before investing to Bitcoin then we have an idea on its history on how it bounce back unexpectedly.

The future might be uncertain and no one can predict what will happen after few months or years but remember that no one coerce you to invest. Therefore, if you can't stand the current situation full of uncertainty then you can quit. Bitcoin is not for weak investors and solely for people who have trust and bullish on its future.
599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sweat coin. Is this real? on: September 14, 2023, 01:09:25 AM
So am not all that into airdrop but some of my guys have been disturbing like hell to take part saying of these airdrop do actually pay so I later let me send me some airdrop link and I tried this one particular one {sweat coin} but for some time I have not done anything with this but I do get lots of notification on my telegram. And I saw an interesting message which I said I should ask the community how real is it about the message sent to me by sweat coin.
~
You haven't done anything, you received that kind of amount? Isn't is suspicious already.

I don't know the exact reason why there are some people who are doing this kind of thing in Telegram, but avoid these kind of airdrops at all costs. I mean where do these people get that kind of money to just give it to random stranger for free? If it's Elon Musk, or Jeff Bezos or any rich businessmen out there then it's possible, but I don't think that they'll be doing this as well.

Overall, we already said that this is a scam attempt, and there's no way for you to get that money for free. Well, you can try if you want if you're too curious about it as long as you will not give anything that's personal for you, but just by looking at that picture, it's pretty obvious that it isn't real.
If someone message you about a free money, it's a crystal clear as scam. Especially if you're not participating, subscribing or doing any task to deserve such money. Well it's not really new because even before, many scammers have the same strategy to attract people.

They will not give such tokens without anything in return because for sure they will ask first to send eth or any alts to push through the transaction. Well, only newbies or those who are not careful can fall into this trap.
600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Importance of Gambling to the society on: September 13, 2023, 08:19:03 AM
In my opinion, it depends on how we approach gambling. If we think that gambling will only have a negative impact and harm ourselves, why do we still continue to gamble? it's better not to play, right?
Because it's tempting for many of us. The thought of having a chance to win big is what attract the gamblers to play. Despite knowing its negative effect once you lose control.

If gambling causes the impacts you mentioned (robbery, murder, rape, etc.) then in my opinion it is very fatal and should not be done by society.
These are just the worst that gamblers can do to continue playing. The reason why many people don't like gambling because of its addictive effect. Although the gambler itself is the one responsible on why he turned himself as an addicted gambler who committed a bad deed.
