http://First update

www.iotatoken.com has now been updated to the new version. This website introduce the vision of IOTA and the 'Economy of Things' as well as present the technology of the 'Tangle' to regular people who are not already informed. The website itself is still only 90% done as there are a few illustrations and tweaks left to be implemented, but we invite everyone to check it out Smiley

really nice design guys!

Roll Eyes
Nix! Ihr kriegt keinen einzigen BTC von mir!

When will be it hard forked?
Vitalik, please hard fork it.

Soft fork will be within abouit 20 days now. But there is no specific dates about the hard fork. It might not happen.

might not needed. Maybe if we soft fork the right way, we can also return the funds.

Sicher? Da sag ich nur 30. September 2013... :-)
Oder auch 24. Oktober...

That could also be a reason for the price to drop. I remember with the last coin auction done by the FBI, that in the runup to the auction the price out of nothing reached $500 in November. And as soon as the auction was over, the price started to come down heavily. I hope it's not the same right now. But the current wave of panic sellers could also have something to do with Bitfinex being out.

24k btc can't even manipulate the price of bitcoin as we have 10m btc market capacity. That's a small volume of bitcoin to pump/dump the current price of bitcoin.

Just to give you an idea what 24K BTC can do to the market:

Bitstamp; With 13.5K BTC you can dump the price down to around $70. Then you have still 10.5K BTC left in your pocket.

Bitfinex; With 24K BTC you can dump the price slightly below $100.

And where'd you get your reference? It is great to see if you have some sort of information backing up your claim.

He means, that there are only 10k BTC buy orders on bitstamp. The last ones are on 70$. So yes, you COULD do that, if you sell all.
But:
1. They split in 5k pieces
2. If you sell 500. Price will recover already. And why should you not wait for the recover in order to sell more expensive. Or why should you dump all directly after you bought it...

let me understand..Smiley
soft fork = all eth on dao frozen and dao holders f**ked
hard fork= dao holders refunded
right?

Yes. But for the soft fork, the DAO holders can use the DAO not yet stolen. They will lose about 3.6 million coins.

if we decide to soft fork already, why cant we make all dao token frozen unless sent to certain address hold by dev. then  token can be moved by whatever mean without hardfork Huh

I think the best would be to soft fork and burn all ETH locking them in the contracts forever after this desaster and ETH price declining. I also invested in DAO, but still.
ETH would be more scarce and every ETH holder gets more worth.
Of course then anyone, who invested all his money in DAO and didn't keep ETH is fucked, but honestly... I don't think anyone should have done that...
650  Economy / Economics / Ridiculous mentioning of BTC selling on: June 21, 2016, 01:53:47 PM
I really want to mention here, how ridiculous I find those news mentioned as a reason for price declines:
http://www.coindesk.com/19-million-bitcoin-australia-auction/

Cmon. This is really like a drop in the ocean...

24,518 BTC is like 0.16% of the supply. And this is a news about one time this amount. Kidding me?

Its like 16 Billion compared to 10 Trillion supply in Dollars or Euro. Remember? The QEs of USA or Europe pumped abought a monthly(!) supply of about 80 Billion! Thats about 5 times the amount of that mentioned one MONTHLY!

The current daily trading volume without the chinese market is already more than 10 times the selling amount.
Including the chinese markets we go to a 100 times of that amount DAILY.

What do you want with those meaningless news? Its just a trolling price suppressing message!
651  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Der Aktuelle Kursverlauf on: June 20, 2016, 01:12:10 PM
so habe 40% meiner Bitcoin heute verkauft Kurs rund 755 US$

Deine Euros verlieren täglich an Wert.

Februar 2013 befinden? ;-)

stop being stupid guys. DUMP is part of every ICO, it is the law, it has to happen, it can happen sooner or later, here it happened sooner.
Its not a bad thing at all, you just need to have patience as any investor that wants to make real money in any industry.

Exactly, this dump is normal and has no influence on me. I had never before, my Waves for sale immediately. If the dump is big enough, I will buy more.

Its really always the same. most of the people don't care about the coin itself, they just want a quick return. Even 30% seems to be fine already...
very short viewed guys ;-)

Antonopoulos moderates a discussion with guests Pamela Morgan (attorney), Brian Klein (attorney) and Taylor Gerring (Ethereum Project co-founder), with live twitter Q&A and participation from the DAO slack channel.

its a very good debate......
this debade shows very well that exist a lot of confuse in the law ,its very complicated(( every state have different laws, the white paper is not so white e.t.c )) and will take months (( if ))to resolve this dispute.....

Thats really a good one. Its not that clear, like everone here wants it to be...
655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: June 19, 2016, 01:02:54 PM

Of course I would. But that doesn't mean, that I should. Look at my given movie.

And we are not even talking about lives anyway, so the only think is loosing money. I am also invested in both ETH and DAO, but still I know, that its wrong, to make a hard fork. Soft forks, can be maybe considered to put pressure on the attacker to give most of the money back.

But for finding that exploit, he has deserved some money anyway. Companies like Apple, Facebook or Google pay a lot for finding exploits...

If he didn't do it someone else would have have done it later and it would have been even worse scenario...

Yes they pay if you talk of the exploit you found directly to the company, not using it, to stole money, and then if the exploit is confirmed they pay a reward..... this is not the way to manage exploits in the right manner....

There are some, that don't pay enough and the hacker sells it as 0-days,...
Brain is expensive...

In this case is a Cracker (not hacker) and this is not always a good behaviour.....

noone said that. But manners don't count here. Its the fact, that he deserves something...

Deserve something WHAT ? Afther he make a robbery !?!?!?!?! WTF.... !!!!

not additionally. but some of the money for finding the bug. Anyway.
You guys just don't want to see both sides of the medal...
I am fine with any decisions, but I think we run into bigger problems if we hard fork, than if we try to find the consensus with the attacker instead.

After a hard fork ETH will probably have lower value, because then a lot of decentralization priests will be counter ETH.

And if the attacker manages to persuade miners to take his transaction with the 1million eth, the money is still gone, but all of it.
Dealing with the attacker will at least bring some back...

But do what you want.

This seems pretty simple to me.
Decentralized crypto-currencies are all about consensus.
Vitalik suggested a hard fork rollback.
The majority seem to want it...that's consensus!

Now roll it back.

Note - I was not affected by this DAO/ETH situation.

You go into the casino and win legally 50 Million with a new technique.

Not the true story, true story:

A crew of people invest 150 Million into a new casino with all new technique, someone finds a flaw in the code and cheats out 50 Million of the casino...

What to do ? Of course roll back, fix the code, and "restart" the new technique casino...

You didn't understand the image... the new technique was not the blockchain... but the different call of the contract by the attacker...

That still doesn't change anything on the situation

The point is, that we are not allowed to go back in time, just because we can. You always have side effects you don't foresee.
For example if you go back and kill hitler you save millions of people. But maybe the russians may have taken lead of the world and bombed usa with an atomic bomb and killed even more...

Your last comment actually is SO dumb and disgusting it proves pretty well What an ignorant,  dumb and disgusting Person you are.

Whenever there is a chance of saving Any Human life OF COURSE YOU SHALL SAVE IT -  there is no Discussion necessary at all for such a question,  regardless of other unknown things that MAY happen.

We are not talking about Human life here but of a flaw,  an error in a Piece of  code that was exploited by some individuals without of the consensus or without the approval of the majority.

Imagine a Bank that gets robbed and afterwards you are suing the Bank for getting robbed and not the robbers because they did such a decent Job and did Not get caught  (at first)...

Other coins implement voting Features so that Similar happenings can be circumvented by the majority..  The miners or HODLers Wink

Did you ever watch Butterfly Effect? That's more or less explaining, what I want to say. Because it seems you didn't understand it.

We are not in Hollywood here..  You are obviously the one who is NOT understanding MANY things here

I am understanding your point more than mine, thats the case. I thought about everything you say already, you don't tell me anything new. But did you ever think longer about the arguments of the opponents?
I am talking about movies, that explain facts. Its not about hollywood.

Okay then let me give you a very disgusting example back,  also a movie:

A robber Breaks Into your House,  Rapes your wife,  kills her after the rape,  then sells your daughter on a Human Market where she will be Set on Drugs and Sold for Prostitution...

You have the Chance to go back in time but you wouldnt because it is not good?

Of course I would. But that doesn't mean, that I should. Look at my given movie. It's also about really bad things.
