Well, I am just leaving bitcointalk. I didn't mean any harm by it.
Sorry. Good luck to bitcointalk.org.
Farewell.
Don't be a tumlbrina and wait to discuss the situation with Vod. I am sure some sort of accomodation is to be had. If I left bitcointalk for every neg feedback I got (Usually related to pissed-off scammers )

I updated my Bitcoin Core to the latest version in an attempt to fix issues I was having with unconfirmed transactions, and now it simply crashes on startup. I checked the debug logs and I don't see any errors in them, it's as if they get cut off too suddenly. The way it crashes is a pretty standard windows appcrash. I use Windows 7. http://pastebin.com/ZKH3hDhnhttp://pastebin.com/RT7jqAKwAbove are two examples of the logs of times I've tried to open it and it crashes. Not sure what to do now. Yes I've tried reinstalling it and it doesn't change anything. I'm not a Windows user but had the same happen with me with latest versions. I unfortunately had to delete my data directory and start over to get it to work. I am thankful core isn't my everyday wallet - I just use it for testing purposes. It seems to get buggier and buggier each release

XT is dead my friend. Sorry for your loss, RIP Bitcoin XT.
I think the whole thing stunk from the very beginning, delighted it's been absolutely REKT.
Here, here. I find it laughable that The Bitcoin Foundation still list Gavin as "Chief Scientist" as a core developer when most of his time has been spent polishing the XT turd. Long story short, ain't gonna happen, no matter how badly the clueless idiots on reddit want it to.

Most of my negs are for ponzi scams, which I detest. In this case I am neutral although I agree with the others, it seems as if you might default on the loan because you are just trying to sell the items. iirc you also were trying to sell your account which adds another level of risk.
This is most likely the reason for Vod's decision though I don't doubt he will chime in on this thread eventually.

I would like to caution people about downloading and installing extensions from untrusted sources. Many have been known to contain harmful scripts that can lead to a loss of Bitcoins and Altcoins stored on your local machine. Always use a VM for testing first.
If I get time later today I will download this in a test environment and publish results.
I'm eager to see the results of your test. I don't have a wallet or personal information on the machine I installed the extension on. I installed it and found it useful. Assuming it is not malware, thanks to the OP for building and sharing this tool. I found nothing malicious at all, seems to be a nice extension. Just to be clear I wasn't calling OP a scammer or anything, just advising people to be careful out there. Yesterday I found someone on here posting a faucet bot that had a keylogger + private key sweeper in it. Nowadays it pays to be vigilant and approach everything with caution :-/

Header really seems to from AWS Coinbase. I also got one and reported for spam. Because its annoying, i don't want account with them as they are closing accounts for gambling and more.
About mail, there are public lists of any mails...
Coinbase isn't really a good service to use if you plan on using your Bitcoin for normal things. They have a well known reputation for spying on user accounts and have no proof they can keep your private data safe. It smacks of a partnership with 3 letter agencies, tbh.

I own a scrypt miner, and today when I was going to check my stats in CleverMining, I noticed that my miner has stopped submitting shares for a long time. Based on the program's output, my miner is producing shares, but the program is not submitting them. Here's how I start CGMiner: cgminer/cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://us.clevermining.com:3333 -u 1Q36xD4fouHKGUnxFKuUXAPWB1bugD2NmL -p d=128 --no-submit-stale --hotplug=0 --scan-serial /dev/ttyUSB0 --zeus-chips=6 --zeus-clock=358 --expiry 5 --queue 0 --scan-time 1 2>/var/www/cgminer.txt --zeus-nocheck-golden --verbose
And here is the link to the log file if anyone is interested. Yes based on your log file this is a connection issue with clevermining. Try connecting to another pool and see if the problem persists. I remember reading the thread posted above, I haven't connected any of my miners there in a long time.

True but you cannot post it here too. Your comment will be automatically deleted by moderators. Care to post the blockchain containing theymos' dox ? You will be perma-banned !! Hey, my handle isn't coltlover - I'm not a moron iirc TradeFortress got a 45 day ban for that (which should expire soon).
|
|
|
i would show his dox but i dont want my acct banned cause i think i read somewhere where someone was banned for posting user info.
I do not think you will be banned for showing the dox of a legendary scammer. Doxing is allowed unless it does not hurt the community in any way. And for you revealing it would just be the opposite. I cannot assure you but before releasing please consult with theymos on pm. I think that will be better. Doxxing on the blockchain works. Who is going to ban that once it is there?

the same operations that are run here are run there, here they are using hundreds of fake accounts
at the same time real world operations against the victims
Would be helpful if you quoted a source for this please. Although downvoting operations on that site are as old as reddit itself. I know of at least 3 bots on github that can do this for you automatically.

This should serve as a reminder of the importance of only using wallet services for pocket change and not as your main wallet. I tend to make a few raw tx's of around 0.01-0.05 each that I can quickly broadcast to a "spending wallet" or service if need be. That way my main funds are always safe in cold storage. Well, the most important thing is that with any wallet, users should be using wallets that they have full control over - such as full private key access and control, backups, and wallet seeds (depending on the setup). Wallets that don't offer full control I wouldn't fully recommend and if you do use it, only small amounts and *not* as your main wallet. BTW I just checked out your site, bitcoinx.io (listed in signature) pretty nice! Bookmarked for future reference - I had never come across it before.
|
|
|
There is also an adblock script for signatures. Thread discussing it is located here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1003570.0I find the low-quality post spammers annoying as well, but those are easily reported and/or ignored. Sig campaigns are a nice way to get some extra bits, especially if you live in an area where it is difficult to obtain Bitcoin otherwise.

Imma peg popcorn shares to this thread. Surely I can retire in a few weeks.

Seems it kinda died. I bought a bunch of coins so I could test the platform, it was kinda fun. The Firefox extension never panned out because of some code insecurities. They have an extension that does the same thing with Bitcoin, iirc. I was going to use it in a project I was working on, but the individuals that hired me dropped their project too so I haven't reviewed it in weeks.

I have one of these watches, I bought at an auction as a novelty. Battery life is ~6 months with normal use. Mine was priced around what OP is asking, so I'd have to say it is worth it for a unique timepiece. That trust tho.
