681  Economy / Economics / Re: Food Crisis - Improved, Worsen or still the same in your country (No Change)? on: September 18, 2023, 10:26:25 AM
It's the same with our local farmers, they're borrowing money to have capital for their farm lands. But it's not even guaranteed that they'll earn from all of their hard work. It's because of many factors like our country is always being hit by natural disasters especially with typhoons, not just that but super typhoons and all of their hard work turns into vain. Aside from that, the manipulation in the market when they harvest is at worst. It's always the farmers harvest' that are being taken for granted because at most times, they're being low balled while the middlemen and businessmen that puts less effort on this business are even making more than what the farmers deserve.
Every farmer is in trouble. The middleman eats everything and governments need to take some action for the direct buying from the people, so that benefits will directly reach the farmers who are one to profit. These days environmental changes have brought the rain vary from the calculation. This will affect the planned cultivation, and in my country the government have made some fast check as some middleman have kept hold of good volume of wheat to manipulate the price. Through proper investigation this had been caught and the price of wheat is well balanced than allowing it to rise deeper. So, rather than the farmers the middleman eats and the crisis keeps going.
That's true, with some policies that will be in favor of the farmers, the government is the only one that can do that. But it seems that there's some sabotage or partnerships that are being done on this part. I really feel the hardship of the farmers that they've been targeted by these middlemen and in the case of our country, the rice has been increasing, and even if there's a temporary solution about putting a price ceiling and cap on it. It is going to result to put the farmers in a bad place because they'll be in between and they will be stuck with that problem. Because the taxes will likely be lessened if not waived for the imported rice while the farmers hard work will be taken for granted. Only the businessmen and middlemen will enjoy this while the consumers and the farmers will keep on experiencing this problem. It should be pro farmers as they're the ones who makes our food and secures it.
682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: September 18, 2023, 09:19:44 AM
I wonder why KYT was taken too long by the SMB on its 9th pick round. Well, other teams have seen him as a good prospect but didn't take him on the early-round pick. But since he's into the team many dream of, good luck to him.
Correct me on this one guys, he's still not sure if he's going to be given a contract right? Or it's already sure that he's going to get a contract from the SMB management whether he's just on the bench, a practice guy, or will be given a playing time?
I can't wait to see him play on the actual court of PBA. I've seen how this guy excel coming from his phenomenal dayo series up to working hard to MPBL and now to PBA.
Same with you, I'm not sure if he's already secure with a contractor will be used as a practice player with an allowance, after being hype from different social media platform, I didn't expect that it will take that long before someone will pick him, and the good catch is, it's SMB who take him and knowing what he can bring or add in terms of offensive capabilities, maybe he can take a slot for the team.

Still needed to wait for any update regarding to this draft and what will be his fate in this league.
IMHO, it's better if a weak team has taken him so that he can showcase more of himself and have more playing. Well, no doubt that SMB is a good team but there are a lot of good players there already and in the same position as his. Whilst if he's been picked by a weaker team, it's more exposure and better improvement for him to be there. But as we're saying, it's better to get drafted than not.

He's already drafted by the SMB therefore and obviously he will give a live contract, an official contract being a professional PBA player playing at the SMB. It's really good as a rookie to be drafted by one of the giants in the PBA as even though there's a rookie cap, once he shown good performance right away, there's another reward under the table.

Not expecting too much from him since what he did in his Pheno days will be hard to do at the PBA.

There are lots of good prospects showing dominance during their days prior PBA but when ended up being drafted in the biggest league in the country, their performance slow down. Not saying Kyt will be like that but I hope he will be utilized in the SMB as being a rookie here doesn't given good minutes not unless he's something special.
Yeah, it will be harder on PBA as there are other better players than him, and they have proven themselves. But I guess once he's given the chance, he should take that seriously and make fewer mistakes. And again, the farm team has got it, Terrafirma and then won't be surprising that the time will come that the 1st pick will be traded again to SMB, TNT or Ginebra.

Speaking of Ginebra, Ahanmizi has been taken by them with a three-year deal.

683  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: you have to manage risk for trading. on: September 18, 2023, 08:25:37 AM
To manage your buying and selling risks objectively, you should utilize objective indicators.

I've created a solution for this, where I look for similar historical charts.

Having something objective is crucial for us to make informed trading decisions.
This allows us to effectively manage risks and enhance our trading strategies.
What's the solution that you've made for this? How it is going? I have no idea what you're telling us but it is for sure that any of us want to manage risk in trading. But it's not as easy as what you think when you've been losing all day long and even you try hard to manage the risk when it's just not enough. So, it's better if you tell us what solution you've invented, and let's see if it's going to work for the majority. There's a likelihood that you may change some results from other traders and it's gonna be good in your feeling when you've seen people that have tried your strategy or solution and then it worked for them. But it seems that most details aren't included and hopefully that there's no catch or some twist when you're about to reveal it and you won't ask people to join a group where you're going to deploy or reveal that.
684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What’s the current trend on altcoin right now? on: September 17, 2023, 07:58:29 PM
I’m browsing coinmarketcap to scout potential altcoins to ape on this dip. I’m not sure what’s the current trend since Move2Earn, Play2Earn and other DeFi is not that popular anymore. I really hate meme coin which I know that still hot today since this is a ponzi token that most crypto traders really like due to get quick rich nature.
Forget about those earn-earn features because most of them are likely going to end up in the pit no matter what trend they keep on sustaining. While meme coins are still a choice of many because of its vast community, if you're for a meme coin I'd suggest Dogecoin only.

Do you knew something new that has the potential to trend?
They say RWA (real world asset) tokens but that's just still a rumor and we haven't seen yet a big move from the known companies that can easily start this trend. Aside from all of these possible trends, we might see some other forms of it being made prior to the bull run.

686  Economy / Economics / Re: Food Crisis - Improved, Worsen or still the same in your country (No Change)? on: September 17, 2023, 05:49:05 PM
It became worse in my country. All agricultural products have been increasing in price. I think that there's a very wrong system that's happening in my country from farm to market distribution. It is because it's not the government that does this distribution but it's the independent businessmen that do this. So, the cost coming from the farm going to another middleman and even before going to the market, there have been a lot of hands that have touched the food products so there's a huge margin that's being placed before going to the consumer. I still look forward that there's hope on this problem. Yes, it's global problem but this shouldn't be affecting the local markets that we've got in terms of food production and delivery. The government should remove all of those middleman so there won't be a lot of margin that becomes the burden of us, consumers.
It cannot be denied that those who manipulate market prices are intermediaries. And answering this question is very difficult because intermediaries and farmers are interrelated. What happens where I live is that many farmers want to farm but run out of capital and the only way to get capital to farm is to borrow from middlemen. When farmers borrow capital from middlemen, there is usually an agreement between the two parties, "where like it or not, when post-harvest arrives, farmers who borrow money from middlemen do not only have to pay back the money they borrowed. "But they (farmers) also have to sell their crops to middlemen."
and it is true that the problem of increasing food prices is caused by middlemen so that farmers cannot sell their crops directly to consumers.
Until you can stand on your own by that time because they are there to cheer but you can't have them forever. And that's why being alone is one big thing and showing it to yourself that you can do it on your own is also satisfying.
Yes, and it also shows us that humans are social creatures who cannot live alone without other people.
That's why there's a saying "No man is an island".

When they realize this and are willing to ask for help from others, they will not feel tired. At least someone else will come to them and grab their shoulders to walk together to achieve their goals. And when they arrive at their destination, they will smile together and enjoy the next days well.
I do believe that all of us have a companion or people to get some help but for some rare cases, there are people that do live lonely and alone. But I don't think that's applicable for a gambler that tries to fix things.

This is why I said to keep some separate money. If you had this money back then, you could have gambled with it and made a fortune.
And when the results come out about that separate money that you're able to bet, that fortune's life span will depend on how you're going to manage it. The majority will have to gamble that again and let the result vary on its own until its gone. But a wise gambler would keep and save some for himself.
688  Economy / Economics / Re: I wonder if food prices in your country have also increased? on: September 17, 2023, 04:30:49 PM
yeah, Rice is a particularly high growing food in my country. In addition, oil is also trending up significantly. After the data published by FAO in early August, this really causes concern for poor people. They really face very high risks when it comes to ensuring daily food. Continues to be the main issue that drives inflation to continue to increase relative to the value of money that can be earned.
The same goes for my country, rice is no longer cheap and despite that, there's a set price ceiling for it. This is damaging the retailers and businessmen that are into the rice business. Apart from that, our government has imported a lot of metric tons just to let a supply go into the market to drive the prices down. Our country has become the top importer of rice and that made us on top of China which is the top importer of rice.
That's a lot of sense to think of because we're even tremendous times smaller than China but the demand of rice here is high because it is our staple food.
689  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Psychology and tips on: September 17, 2023, 03:58:07 PM
With the losses, that's how a trader grows. If no trader will have their own losses, they won't learn new strategies and what's best for them. I agree that these losses are like entries to check our mistakes and as well as the gateway to improve.

Trust your Analysis
As long as you do you due diligence on your setup after analyzing, take the shot. It is never a guarantee but once your setup says ‘go’, go with it.
About this, sometimes I don't trust my own analysis but this is also like trusting our own analysis. It may not be as perfect as the others but you're right that if you think that you're doing your analysis flawlessly then follow and see what will be the result of it.
690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DCA'ing isnt a bad strategy on: September 17, 2023, 02:57:30 PM
No problem if you want a lump sum type of investing or DCA type. As long as you can afford to invest in any amount you're totally fine, there's nothing with it. The mere fact that you're thinking of a strategy for what should be your investment approach makes sense already.
Either of the two works perfectly for anybody. So, you only have to choose what's gonna work best for you.

Trading is hard and requires not only experience but something in you that not everyone has.
It requires patience and better decision-making. If you're okay to lose that, you don't need any of those but no trader wants to lose so, that's why it is a serious matter that needs to be precise when you do your trades.

And trying to find the best time to buy Bitcoin might take your time, nerves and sometimes you might even lose the best price because you're waiting for the better one.
It will take our time because we're waiting for the most decent price that we think is best and fits our thoughts for being low and best time to buy.
691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next bull market comes in June on: September 16, 2023, 10:19:43 PM
This thread proves that how unpredictable the crypto market is! It is very easy to predict, even influencer also try to create buzz among people by their prediction but everything is unpredictable. Some statements may come true but that will be not more than a coincidence. In june, bull was trying to come and market grown lot for dump again for unknown reason but nobody knows what is going to happened next. But 2024 or 2025 should be the year of bull run (this is also a guess)
I reckon it's very easy to say what you want to say about the market and predict as much as you can. But in terms of the actuality of it, you'll never know how it is going to be. Just ignore the influencers, they're just there to hype the market and the projects that they're working on. Because they're paid to do that and they've got terms and agreement that's placed upon between them and the project that has paid them to advertise or give some exposure time to their own blogs/vlogs or channels those projects that people don't even want to invest.
692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins profits or bank profits, which best? on: September 16, 2023, 02:13:48 PM
I admit that altcoin investment is indeed superior when compared to banks.
I second.
The interest rates and other investment options and offers that the banks provide will only give you a small portion of what they're going to earn from your own money.
But it's like staking there and the higher the capital you have there, the better and can be said that your money there is safe as that's what they're going to tell and guarantee you.
Going on to the point of being safe, remember that even they are the banks. They have the decision to even halt your account and freeze your money if found something was done against them and the law. Although you have nothing to worry about it if you're not involved with any illegal activities.
693  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How will you feel if it happens to you just like this? on: September 16, 2023, 10:59:34 AM
There are gamblers that want to stop immediately but they don't realize that no one can do that. Someone who wants to stop as soon as possible won't happen. There's a process that they need to go through and it's one of the roughest ways that they have to deal with.
Yes, there is a process to stop and it is not easy to do it because they have to be able to go through every process. But it's worth it, especially if they want to stop. And although it takes time, it is something they can do to cure their gambling addiction. Maybe that's why they have to have someone accompany them during the healing process for their gambling addiction so that they can persist in the healing process.
Yes, it's worth it in the end when the gambler who wants to stop does it. The time is there and it's not an easy path but that's how it goes as we're talking about the process. Without it, you'll never get to see the worth of it if it's just an easy thing. If there's a need for someone to become accompanied by his peer, and thinks that it's better to have it then give it to them.

And when they feel tired, some people will remind them to be enthusiastic again to undergo the process of healing their gambling addiction.
Until you can stand on your own by that time because they are there to cheer but you can't have them forever. And that's why being alone is one big thing and showing it to yourself that you can do it on your own is also satisfying.

It seems that there's now a clarity on what you really receive. But I just want to reiterate some things about these emails that we receive.
If there's no official announcement from then, that's like someone is spoofing as Cloudbet and has taken the credentials or email of their customers and trying to phish you.
This happens not just in casinos but almost in every service where your email has potentially been leaked or hacked and whatever you're receiving is just an email and phishing attempt from theirs. If there's a link attached at the end of the email, don't click it and check first the link if it's safe or a link directing you to visit the phishing form.

696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will BNB Coin Hit $300 Mark in 2023? on: September 16, 2023, 08:48:37 AM
At the moment, I think BNB will not go to $300 because of the recent news about Binance and the SEC opening an investigation against the exchange. This has been negatively impacting Binance.
Aren't they done with it and there's already the go signal from the SEC? But it's still a hot topic since the SEC keeps on chasing almost every company aside from the ones that are born in the US. Well, that's true that it has affected Binance and BNB negatively and that's how the market reacts too fast whenever there have been news like that.

BNB might pump when there is the next alt season, but for the long term, it is advisable to stay away from any exchange coin
I hold a few of them and I think that I'll sell them whenever I think that the price is already enough for me. I'm still down from it and on paper loss but only waiting for the time to pump it again and could be more than $300.
697  Local / Pamilihan / Re: buying monetized Youtube channel on: September 16, 2023, 07:53:35 AM

On the other hand, mukhang mahihirapan itong si OP mag hanap ng account through online transaction. I think mas madali pag meet up para mas plantsado yung transaction at mas secure yung bitcoin or pera mo against scammers.

699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 15, 2023, 11:46:30 PM
And I think the experienced too, and so he might be a good addition to the Warriors as they needed a good big man. Yes, the league has been playing small, but I still do believed that a legitimate Center might be a good addition for the Warriors which they have during their championship run.
Yeah, they don't really have that much big man but Dray is playing on that part with his addition, having these two inside is going to be a strong defense for sure. While outside the paint, there goes their shooters that will just have to do their job.

Dwight being active in Taiwan might be a good deal for him, as he keep his body and mind very active during his stint in their league. So let's see if this will materialized and see Dwight in the Warriors uniform.
I think it was a real fun experience for him being there and the league there just invests a lot of him to make their league some noise and it was a success. But Dwight just wanna feel the intense of being back the NBA so this is another deal of his lifetime.

Oops, something is interesting that has been reported just now. Dwight is in the meeting with the Golden State Warriors. Maybe he's been heard and this is it for his comeback to the NBA. This wall that has been tweeting funnily from Taiwan seems to be serious now about being acquired by the Dub nation.

Just in case this really happens hopefully they will win the championship to help Chris Paul get one. However I'm not sure if Dwight Howard would really contribute to him or the whole organization because let's be honest at this time Howard is far different from his era. Dwight Howard has had two finals appearances and one of them resulted in a championship. He went from losing to the Lakers to winning a championship when he joined the Lakers like Kevin Durant does when losing to Warriors.
That's what Dray said that he's there to help CP to get his first championship and that's a good achievement before he even retires. As we all know that there have been great players but never got a ring so these are like the fewer seasons or we don't know if last for him before he gets to retire. Dwight still has that experience and can still play, he's not that old as he's 37 so I think that despite he is past his prime but not that old as a contributor.
700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some of country can offer you legal gambling in 2023! on: September 15, 2023, 11:23:47 PM
I found out from google that gambling is legal in some number of countries and still banned in many countries.
UK
Ireland
Monaco
Germany
Spain
Belgium
the USA
Canada
Malta
Australia
What do you feel from this that gambling is less ethical?
I can't comprehend what you mean by that. But if it's about the countries that have banned gambling, they have their own reasons for that's basically about the concern of their people of being addicted to it. While for those countries that have legalized it, there's a fair share that the government is getting from the gambling industry considering that it's one of the biggest industries out there, so they can't ignore the fact that they're earning a huge taxation from it so there's no problem with that. And a government that bans or prohibits gambling, it is not a problem or an issue at all. They've got their own policies and from there so if they decided to just ban it, there's no need to stretch that out because that it is what it is.
