701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [VIA] ★ Viacoin ★ ~ the future of digital currency ~ ★ on: November 26, 2014, 04:06:07 PM
All of these smart contract type of implementations, and no one is tackling the most important aspect. Building adoption for crypto currencies by utilizing social networks. When the average internet user sees this, they will be so overwhelmed and probably not even get into crypto at all. We need to focus on gaining crypto adoption before just jumping right to the next gen implementations. We need a social network implementation that allows us to spend crypto on facebook...

do you know the multicoin tipping app on facebook? Do you know changetip for youtube, twitter and co? I think we need both worlds. Bitcoin as the first app and the development of new apps.

There's also Viacoin tipping on Twitter https://twitter.com/tipvia

That's very cool. Wink

702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XCH] ★ ClearingHouse - Freedom by Blockchain ★ on: November 26, 2014, 03:52:45 PM
OK thanks. So these funds have not been touched yet. I suppose there is still BTC available from the original offer (ICO) being used to pay expenses.

The commitments on github clearly show that the tech-side of the coin(s) are very actively developed. I dont care if this done volountarily or paid by some ico, burned whatever thingy.

However, this is no company with a marketing department here. Its open-source, bottom-up, grass-root (full stop). Marketing in crypto does only work on a community basis. I also think that the dev is part of the community but he is not responsable for this.
Frankly, here is no community. If there ever was one its gone by now.
We need to build a new one from the ground with very few, positive people who are luckily still sticking around. I am ready to work on this task. And you?

the dev is responsible because he took money, and therefor has an obligation or needs to return that money if he is not using it.

just because someone is by trade a "developer" does not preclude them from other responsibilities.  particularly since that address is either owned by an individual or some other kind of entity.

but clearly since none of that has been used and in the meantime viacoin has slipped in value, i can see where this project is going...and how much commitment it has...

frankly i am at the stage where i feel the transaction was fraudulent.

Why not sell your coin then and go away? It's trading at almost 2x the ICO price.
703  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: November 26, 2014, 03:44:14 PM
Not saying PB Mining is a ponzi though I do lean in that direction, but I find most things puppet says is true and as for it not being his btc,it might not be but btc is never going to be accepted mainstream if it keeps getting linked with ponzi schemes and scams.More people here should out the possible  scammers and ponzi schemes at least let the forum discuss them and share experiences.

Yes, because no one scams people out of Fiat...

...oh wait.
704  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: November 26, 2014, 04:36:26 AM
Maybe do this ponzi discussion say once a month

for the next year

what do you say men ?

Instead of a discussion, how about a bet? Or letting me short this ? How about I double your ponzi profits if I turn out to be wrong, and I get to keep the principal if I was right?  We use escrow. How much are you willing to bet on pb still honoring its contracts 12 months from now?

Not everyone at once. Surely the pb believers would like to earn 2x more no?
Well Puppet I don't know what the men say, but I'd like to take you up on this bet. The bet will be a double or nothing bet, .2 btc, for one year each of us giving this amount to a escrow to be help until November 25 2015 6Pm Eastern time. At that time or before if PB fails to exist or pay out, the escrow will pay the .4 btc to  to the proper winner minus his fee should there be one. If we can find proper escrow to handle this I'm on. Anya

In this thread will not be a problem finding one legit escrow:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=276897.0

Puppet will you accept the challenge?  Roll Eyes It seems that Anya is very serious ..  Cheesy

You can use the strongcoin wallet to create secure multi-sig escrow. Just pay each other via escrow the bet amount. Complete the escrow of the loser, cancel that of the winner.

the private key is bip38 encrypted

Ah yes, I just saw that in their faq section. Very clever Smiley

I rather like these batter.

https://www.cryobit.co/cold-storage-products/cryo-card/

You should be able to provide a Viacoin PK and bip38 encrypted pk as well.
706  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: November 25, 2014, 10:41:57 PM
I believe that is correct. You do not see my point, is a fair assumption of the facts.
The higher difficulty goes, the more pbmining makes because they have less they are required to pay their victims.

The entire point.

I get your point. Your point is they are a Ponzi.

I was looking from the point of view that they are mining.

Why waste so much time and energy trying to "prove" that?

707  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: November 25, 2014, 10:32:55 PM

consider this: we will be looking at some serious difficulty jumps in 2015.

Why do you think diff will go up? I think that will be going down ..

I don't make statements on things i 'think' i make statements on facts.
I know what has been t/o for h/w manufacturers. Right down to the 16nm process - the most blood curdlingly efficient chips that you will ever know. Enough to render absolutely everything that is online hashing today, useless.

There is a race to 0.03w/gh, who do you think will get there first? In 2015?
And when exactly?
Q1? Q2? Q3? Or Q4?

Perhaps you think pbmining will fill a farm with this gear?
Perhaps... But i very much doubt it.

So, the difficulty will go up because the machines will be faster and more power efficient. So, doesn't that mean they will cost less to buy/run hence being a wash on both sides?

Isn't every farm/miner in the same boat?

I don't see your point.

new ClearingHouse Token:

NIMBUSGAMES https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=873175.0

I don't understand. Are you giving away the tokens, or selling them for Nimbus Coins?
709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET asset 12071612744977229797, trading symbol UNITY on: November 25, 2014, 06:26:09 PM
Just a question,

Will unity have some uses as a cryptocurrency?
or the only benefit of holding it is the dividends?

The infrastructure built by james is amazing (hat's off), I am just trying to understand the investor point of view Smiley

Investing in superNET brings both dividends from superNET network usage as well as growth from super traders and also just price gain due to more people buying than selling. I expect the true value will be based on an expected return given the dividend percentage, NAV increase and buying pressure.
710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET asset 12071612744977229797, trading symbol UNITY on: November 25, 2014, 06:24:10 PM
Hi,

I have UNITY sitting on BTER.  Is there a simple way to convert it to supernet asset?  I know nothing about NXT assets but i'm very interested in learning.  any guidance would be very welcomed.

get a local NXT installation following nxt.org
then when your account is activated via faucet like http://jnxt.org/key/
you will have a local NXT acct that you can withdraw the UNITY into

Thank you.  So how will I receive dividends once the UNITY is in my local NXT account?

As I said before, I dont know how nxt assets work, and would be grateful if you could point me to some literature.

It's automatic. Dividend shares will be sent to the NXT account that holds the superNET (unity asset). The dividends may be other assets or NXT coin/tokens.
711  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: November 25, 2014, 06:12:27 PM
They are responsive to requests, but very firm about changes (Bitcoin or email address).

Also I'm throwing my hat in the ring for us finding a way to trade contracts on here. I have 521GHS across three contracts, same account, if anyone can make a solid offer I'll consider selling. If that goes well I have another account that I'll see about.

You can try to put if for sale in the digital goods section, allow people to make offers.

Why are you selling? Already ROI?

I'd like to move everything over to cex.io. I like pbmining, consistent, but I don't like that I can't sell my GHS. I didn't mind this for a bit, but now I prefer to move my coin about sometimes.

You can sell your mining power at GAW. They have both script and sha mining hashlets.
712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EPESO] - E-Peso Initiative | Philippine Government-backed on: November 24, 2014, 07:07:38 PM
is there is any exchange for this coin
no there is not any exchange for this coin
i think its already dead

It's not a coin, it is a Clearinghouse asset.

You can trade it in the Clearninghouse wallet.

As has been said, this is a proof of concept. It's amazing how many people expect something for nothing and complain when they don't get it.
713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NAUT] Nautiluscoin - First Coin w/Stabilization Fund - Digishield on: November 24, 2014, 04:45:48 AM
Well, I'm out. I wish those with this coin the best, but it's just been a comedy of errors. Without an actual dev at the helm, or at least all in, I can't see this going anywhere anytime soon.

So long.
714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EPESO] - E-Peso Initiative | Philippine Government-backed on: November 23, 2014, 05:51:56 PM
How do I sell this?

What is the point of this if it's never going to hit any exchange?

Clearinghouse don't even have Epeso/Via market anymore.

You can create any pair you want in Clearinghouse.

FIM-7H5M-BMAN-4NVC-82J2S only has 100K FIM, why has forged in No. 3 for a few days?
Because of leased balance of other accounts.

I didn't think you could use the lease function with FIM?

Julian...

Don't waste your time with that guy. Wink

Can you give an update on the PoS? Was any work actually done by Bryce and co? Did they ever get a version running on a test net?

If you need people to run your PoS wallet on a testnet, I'm willing. I leave my PC running 24/7 anyway, so keeping a node running is not a problem.
717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [VIA] ★ Viacoin ★ ~ the future of digital currency ~ ★ on: November 19, 2014, 05:40:16 PM
I really would like to avoid bter for XCH trading.

Bter is probably the fastest and most reliable exchange that I use.

That said, you can trade XCH directly in the Clearinghouse wallet for Via. Just buy Via at Bittrex, move it to your Clearinghouse wallet address and then put in a buy order for XCH in the ch exchange.

2. The value bonus to jl777? iirc he would get a bonus if the superNet NAV was 3x ipo value by year end. It doesn't look like the price is on target for that. What happens to the assets allocated for that bonus if it isn't paid out?

Details about the bonus hit or miss are here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=762346.msg8916442#msg8916442

thanks.

So, are there any updates on:

1. The NAV wrt to the "super" traders. have they been growing the portfolio?

2. The value bonus to jl777? iirc he would get a bonus if the superNet NAV was 3x ipo value by year end. It doesn't look like the price is on target for that. What happens to the assets allocated for that bonus if it isn't paid out?

thanks

I guess when a company sells stock directly to an investor "off market" that is insider trading? Many companies do this... Home Depot, Kellog, Pfizer, General Electric, etc. Alert the SEC now!
