741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 03, 2023, 09:02:24 PM
Finally I started watching NBA this season. I skim over some of the matches, but the first match I watched as focused was the San Antonio - Phoenix match. I'm glad I started with this, Spurs came back from 20+ points and won literally in last second. Some says there was a foul on Durant but there was no call so there's no need to argue. Suns should've finished the game better. This Spurs looks exciting. I wonder what will Gregg Popovich do with these youngins. Would it be competitive enough to make the play-offs with this squad or would they need one more season, we'll see.

It is Victor Wembanyama's day with that match, that game was really great to watch, and even though Devin Booker played that game there is no stopping the 7 feet 4 inches unicorn, in this game even the legend Kevin Durant, and in this game, Devin Booker almost got a triple-double in this game of 9 rebounds 13 assist and 31 points, while Victor Wembanyama has a double-double of 10 rebounds 38 points, with this kind of games it is beginning to be interesting
It was indeed a great game to watch. Wemby is worth his hype. Even last year and even in this topic, he was hyped too much and I wanted to not like him. But I can't help but like everything about him. Even his halloween costume. His shooting is great. He takes responsibility. He is trying to be a team player. He is doing much much better than I expected.

I just watch a good 10-15 highlight from last night.  Dam I have to say I am the first to admit I wasn't buying into all the hype.  It's not that I didn't think he was good enough I just thought there was going to be a bit of an adjustment.  Sky is the limit for this kid.  Dare I say he is gonna be the face of the NBA if he reaches his potential and for the love of everything stays healthy.  I worry about big guys like him.
742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I want to find a meme coin similar to bnb tiger? on: November 02, 2023, 09:33:22 PM
Hello, I am a new coiner living in Korea. I want to make some money on the coin market, but I heard that the BnB Tiger coin has risen tremendously. A whopping 50 million percent... So I wanted to find a similar coin, but there was no information and I couldn't search on the Korean site, so I had to use Google Translate and post a question on this site.

I'm curious about the coin with the most views currently, which is a similar meme to the BnB Tiger coin. Not Pepecoin or Dogecoin...

So ypu are looking for a coin that goes up 50 million percent lol.  First off I don't believe that.  Second there is no way for someone to tell you that even if it did.  Otherwise why would they be hanging around here they'd be set.  Don't buy into all these weird meme coins ypu will most likely just end up losing your money.
743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 02, 2023, 09:31:09 PM

8-10 on the season went 1-2 last night only winning the Dallas game.

Day 7 bettngg 3 games against the book.

Pelicans -5.5 at home.  They looked strong last night and think it carries over into tonight.
Utah at home underdogs +2.5.  Orlando looks decent but I don't trust cross country games gimme tolhe home dog here.
Raptors +8.5 on the road.  Feels like a trap game.  Might actually throw a ML bet on them.

Suns game feels trapped too can't figure that one put.

Good luck everyone!
744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can loneliness make one addicted to gambling on: November 02, 2023, 09:25:32 PM
I'm confused and looking for answers

If you are lonely, can you have interest in gambling simply because of your loneliness?

How would you judge someone who says they don't gamble because it's fun, is that a sign of a gambling addiction?

If you are making $600 a day, that's $20000 in a month, and because you are only you start having interest to gamble, what do you think this is?

All these questions is been asked because someone close said all these and I think he are losing money and losing himself too, of all the discussions we had, these are the points I held unto.

Later he open up to have been using $500 for gambling per day, he said all these started when his wife left him, that he isn't into gambling at all, but I can't ask why his wife left him in the first place, but does loneliness make people become addicted to gambling or it's something else.

Sure this is definitely one way people end up addicted to gambling.  There is a social aspect to gambling.  When you are gambling on the same thing other people are in a casino you feel a part of what everyone else is doing.  Same thing online if gambling on sports ypu end up on social media talking with different people doing the same thing.
745  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: November 02, 2023, 07:22:07 PM
Minnesota got a great replacement for Cousins. Dobbs did a great job in dysfunctional Arizona. I could see Dobbs grabbing 18-20 points a week for fantasy easy when JJ comes back. I have 2 decent QBs so I can't use the guy, but those needing a QB better take a look.
The Cardinals got too little in my opinion, they traded for him at the start of this season for a 5th round pick and now they are getting a 6th but they gave away a 7th as well for a starting QB on the NFL, and while he had some issues I liked what I saw and it seems I am not alone on this, and taking into account what Dobbs may get in terms of personal at the Vikings I could expect his performance to improve, especially since the Vikings are still clinging to the hope of making it to the playoffs.

Football trades are weird its not like nba or baseball.  Typically all football players are "worth" in terms of draft picks is somewhere between 5-7 rounders unless you are a crazy good talent with a team friendly contract.  Doubt is a very nice backup, but he can't lead a team to and through the playoffs.  If he gets there it will be more Trent dilfer style.  No shame in that dude is making a career out of this year.  And if it didn't work out I think he is some sort of rocket engineer and was going to work for NASA or something crazy like that lol.
746  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market warms up, what altcoins can help me rich? on: November 01, 2023, 09:28:46 PM
I read some Twitter users with big followers that cryptocurrency market is going to be bullish.

Bitcoin halving will come in 2024.

Bitcoin will have a big bull run in 2024.

What altcoins can help me rich in 2024 and 2025?

Any idea?

Nobody knows if they say they do they are lying.  That's the question which of these crap coins will pump in the next cycle.  Why not just buy bitcoin sit on it and wait knowing it's about as safe as crypto gets and will male you a ton of money along the way.  You sound like you are in for a good gamble.  Good luck
747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Brand completely associated with crypto on: November 01, 2023, 09:26:11 PM
What if I launch a cosmetic brand completely associated with crypto in some way. Like , the purchase of cosmetic products of my company being available only with certain alt coin.

I mean why would you limit the purchase of something with an altcoin.  Any reason you wouldn't allow someone to buy something with bitcoin?  Sounds like you have a bag that you want to push and are trying to build a reason for people to buy that coin. It's a dumb idea it's not solving anything and you won't make that many sales

1-2 last night and 5-7 vs the book for the year.  Need to re evaluate my knicks bets Smiley

Day 5 NBA betting here are my 3 picks for the day:

1) denver -3.5 riding them on low spreads.
2) sacramento -2.5 at home vs Lakers.  Gonna be a fun game to watch.
3) bucks -6.5 at home.  Thus bucks team single digit favorites at ho.e seems to be a gimme here.

Good luck today and enjoy the games!

Day 6 betting.  7wins 8 losses against the book to date.  Took a coue days off but back with my 3 picks for the night

Mavs -4.5 at home.  Gotta ride them at home with a manageable spread

Detroit at home -4.5.  This looks like a decent squad and can compete for the backend of playoff position this year.

Okc -3.5 at home vs the pels.

All home teams let's get it.

Good luck everyone and enjoy tonight's games.
749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed or risk on: November 01, 2023, 09:14:51 PM
Crazy risk and gamble.  But yeah I see those crazy parlay slips that are like 13 or 14 leg and down to 1 game.  It would be tough to not cash out and just cut your losses.  But I guess everyone has a price and everyone has a level of risk they are willing to take.  Guaranteed money is tough to turn down for me.
750  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 01, 2023, 09:12:40 PM
And this is why the Warriors traded Jordan Poole, Lol,

https://twitter.com/UsherNBA/status/1719135524001071523

He might want to be Steph Curry, but obviously he is not. And most likely why he was bench in the play off because of this kind of plays that he might pull, hehehe.

And it seems that the CP3 trade really looks good as of right now.  Grin

Brutal.  I mean young guys will do that kind of thing but if you don't learn or change then yeah eventually it leads to the bench and even worse without a contract and out of the league.  Pretty drastic considering his talent but yeah he needs to cut all that crap out.  Miss watching mamba put there during times when I see these guys loaf like that.
751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 29, 2023, 03:03:20 PM
Knicks looked solid on the road against the Hawks here.  The Hawks are missing John Collins this year.  They look like they definately went backwards although jalen johnson looks like he is going to be a player in this league.  Trae looks lost the first 2 games.  Knicks locked him up but he doesn't look season ready yet.

Collins was still adjusting to his new team, and though he struggled a bit with his shooting, he finished with a double-double in their big win against the Clippers. We can't deny that he was a significant part of the Hawks' success in past seasons. But what's done is done; they need to move on and continue making improvements to the team.

Quote
A win is a win, big game tonight on the road again for the Knicks against the Pelicans.
This is gonna be tough,

This should be a great matchup, but I hate to say it, I think the Knicks might lose because they're on a back-to-back game against a well rested Pelicans.

Deep down I figured as much.  On the road back to backs are tough especially against teams like the Pelicans.  The Pelicans are sneaky value to win the chip.  If zion can somehow stay on the court that team is crazy dangerous.  The problem they always have is keeping theor starters on the floor during the season.
752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My $50,000 betting goal by 2024. Share Your Thoughts With Me. on: October 29, 2023, 03:01:20 PM
There is one thing I do not understand.

My goal for next year is to generate $50,000 through betting. Here are the strategies I plan to employ:

<...>

What are your thoughts on these strategies to assist me in achieving my $50,000 betting goal by 2024?

Do you want to wager a total of $50,000 or do you want to win or build up a bankroll of $50,000 in the year 2024? These are two very different things.

That's my question and is there anything in terms of bet value?  If you are betting $1 a game vs $10k a game is quite a difference and will make you gambling goal either easier to reach and/or harder.   The one thing I can say is that you have a set goal which is half the battle.  Most people don't have a number so they never actually get to cash out anything but lose it all back.  Good luck to you in your adventure this year
753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: October 29, 2023, 02:56:39 PM

1-2 last night bringing my year total to 4-5 against the book.  Missed the bulls and Nuggets last night by a point each, those are the breaks!

Betting day 4:

1) yep rocking the Knicks again.  +3 against a tough NO team on the road.  Knicks have good depth just need them to hit their free throws.  They might lose but I expect a close game here and cover.
2) Suns-5.5 at home.  They are going to be deadly at home I like them here in a 10+ point plus win.  They clear the spread easy tonight.
3) last give me the Heat +5. They play a slow game and should keep this one close.  They lose but cover.

Good luck tonight everyone!

754  Economy / Economics / Re: Btc vs dollars on: October 28, 2023, 04:10:25 PM
Presently, should we say it's good the way bitcoin its been tied to dollars? Dollars is not backed up with any resources but to my understanding, bitcoin is a product of great energy surge. We shouldn't let bitcoin tied to dollars but bitcoin standing on its own. What could decide the durability and value of bitcoin? I have some ideas..

Is that a test lol.  What kind of ideas do you have.  I mean for now since usd is one of the most pegged financial instruments in the world its easy to discern value based on usd.  I think too many people think about one taking over the other but both can and shoukd coexist for their own reasons.
755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoins would you invest $ 1,000,000 in? on: October 28, 2023, 04:07:43 PM
I'd stick 90%+ into bitcoin and then toy around with a couple alts.  I'd stick a large majority of the remaining into polygon/matic.  The coin shoukd be primed for a nice move in price once the bull run is in full affect.  But don't get it wrong most of it should get put into bitcoin.
756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk predicts X will replace banks in 2024 - The Verge on: October 28, 2023, 03:58:13 PM
https://www.theverge.com/2023/10/26/23934216/x-twitter-bank-elon-musk-2024

Elon Musk wants X to be the center of your financial world, handling anything in your life that deals with money. He expects those features to launch by the end of 2024, he told X employees during an all-hands call on Thursday, saying that people will be surprised with “just how powerful it is.”

“When I say payments, I actually mean someone’s entire financial life,” Musk said, according to audio of the meeting obtained by The Verge. “If it involves money. It’ll be on our platform. Money or securities or whatever. So, it’s not just like send $20 to my friend. I’m talking about, like, you won’t need a bank account.

I think this is another one of Elon Musk's fantasies that is never going to happen. Plus if he keeps wasting time on all these other things he is never going to make it to Mars in his lifetime. Which I thought was his main goal but unfortunately he has gotten sidetracked.  Shocked

Musk has discussed his plans to turn X into a financial hub before. He even renamed Twitter after his dot-com-boom-era online bank, X.com, which eventually became part of PayPal. He previously said the platform would offer high-yield money market accounts, debit cards, checks, and loan services, with the goal of letting users “send money anywhere in the world instantly and in real-time.”

To send money anywhere in the world, it would need to be an altcoin. Or a western union competitor but who needs another western union? we already have western union.

Dude is unhinged.  There is no way X is going to redo the entire financial system all in one year.  We are too reliant on banks for things such as loans and still a way to transfer money.  Obviously crypto has broken through to show you don't NEED banks but just because we don't need them don't think they are going away.  They own the politicians so it's not going away that easy.

3-3 now on the season.  Going to be posting 3 bets a night here to see how I do against the book.  My 3 for tonight includes my favorite:

- got to take the Knicks -1 at Atlanta.  They played well against the Celtics and think they break the season ice here.

- Denver -5.5 on the road.  Gonna ride the Champs under double digits.

- bulls -2.5 at home.  Shoukd be a close game give me the home team at the end here.

Good luck tonight everyone.

What's the point of this and why is it needed.  Are you just trying to make money off of a holiday that's coming up?  For one why don't you add some details and second this is probably the wrong section to post this in.  Probably needs to be in announcements.
760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cos Coin - Is this a Pyramid Scheme or something..? on: October 27, 2023, 09:10:23 PM
I've got a contact who's very excited about "cos coin", he wanted me to check it out, but it looks very suspect to me:

https://www.cosetek.com/

I can't get much clarity on how it works or what it's supposed to do. Does anyone know any more? He says you have to pay to join and those who sign other users up get payed as a reward, which imediatly rings alarm bells.

Yeah and it's almost always what you think it is trust your gut.  Anytime you have to pay and get other people to paying to get some sort of pay out is exactly just that a pyramid scheme.  First rule of crypto never pay for anything you don't know that works.  You said it yourself you don't know how it works but you have to pay.  Steer clear.
