I don't hate Islam per se .... In my book it's exactly the same as any other religion. They annoy me all equally. Believing the world was created for you speaks volumes of the ignorance and arrogance of the people who buy into those doctrines. That's what I hate .... the stupidity of it all.
This. I admire and envy people like you that can sum up so well ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) I am assuming you are being sarcastic, since you chose to end your comment with a tongue. However, summarizing and boiling down to a single point is (in my humble opinion anyway) the only way to get your message across to the average person with a 6 second attention span. Not to mention there's no convincing the devout... so ... there's no point in me spending any more energy on being eloquent than I absolutely have to. For once, I wasn't being sarcastic. I tend to overanalyze practically everything and spew forth a great many words. Guys like you that can boil that down to a couple of sentences make me a bit jealous. And I just like this smiley ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) To me it has always seemed more like "tongue hangin' out" than sticking out your tongue. I attribute this to being old.

![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) price is cracking 5k sats again today. TEKcoin looking great in 2015 Yes, will be a good year for TEK. Hope some noob doesn't sell his coins for a measly $300 like awhile back. What was it for a car or something? That is fairly short sighted and close minded. We all do this for profit right? Why hate on another person for doing the same. Any dump is a great chance to pick up coin at a bargain price, i have my orders ready do you? Bring on the dumpers! Besides, if you're a serious trader, it's not that hard to set a floor. If you're ass is broke like me, then you set your price and hope...

every religion has its obnoxious followers and its extremists. We must learn to see past this.
I have. And what you see on the other side of that seething cauldron of hate, xenophobia, and wretchedness is .... Nothing. Let's face it. The people we call "extremists" are generally those who adhere the most closely to their religion. Any religion. If you have the ability to reason and access to history, then you KNOW that all religions are false. But that flies in the face of WANT, so we continue to have religion. For the majority in the West, it's a comforting fairy tale that they don't really push that hard. That's fairly recent. And fairly local. Religion is a deliberately divisive force, designed from the ground up to make people dance to the tune of some psychopath who "talks to god" and is charismatic enough to make some idiots believe him.

anyone can answer my question 1- Can we lock our wallet after we unlock it ? Cant find the way to do it. 2- I see not staking becasue wallet is locked even if Im unlocked ? I mainly use the daemon, so I know the commands. Not sure if there are buttons in the GUI or not. But if you use the command walletpassphrase <passphrase> <time in seconds> to unlock the wallet from the debug console, it will automatically relock in x seconds (x being how many you told it). I don't recall the manual lock phrase, I think it's just walletlock in the debug console. But if you type "help" in the debug console it will list all available commands except command line startup options.

Guys, did someone recently transferred successfully GMC to Poloniex? I did 2 transactions, but no one arrived (yesterday and today in the morning). GMC wallet is the last version and on the right block.
johnnysof, i'm sure Poloniex is working on it as we speak. They have few fair yet strict rules with their users protection in first place. Although this doesn't sound conforting to you atm ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Anyway, they'll show up soon. Hi shavers, thanks. I see! Just wanted to be sure the problem is on their site. Cheers Yes, though I'm not sure to characterise it as a problem yet ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) They are working with us, and are being very cautious to be sure all is copacetic. I don't have a time line, but they are working on it. My suspicion from our talks is that they want to observe the block chain for a little bit before going live to make sure we actually fixed it. A bit annoying in the short term, but it's good to know they take their duties serious, ne?

|
|
One thing I failed to note when I asked Shavers to add that ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) The pool is not up at the moment. You'll get a dead link. I'll have it back up very soon. Had outside issues AND the chain going south to contend with.

If I'm not mistaken, difficulty is rising due to the huge amount of small blocks that are staking. You can observe this at http://blockexperts.com/tekThe only way to avoid this, is to combine smaller blocks into one large block. @Thundertoe, correct me if I'm wrong Hi, I'm a fan of TEK and I got quite a few of them in my wallet but I have a noob question.
What exactly is causing the difficulty to go up so much? Today it's about 0.0018 but it fluctuates. All I understand is that I should keep my wallet locked and wait for lower diff before staking to maximize the stake rate.
Is the high diff caused by a lot of people mining it? (POW). Or is it because a lot of wallets are open, or not open, or staking, or locked? Ok, I'm sure you get that I'm totally clueless at understanding this. Would somebody be so kind to explain it to me?
Thanks!
You're correct, and also in regards the original question, POW difficulty is not related to POS difficulty. They are completely different functions.

Anyone feel a draft?
Nope. I'm past the draftable age. About the only good thing about getting old ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

quick question. Is it suppoce to be long to launch with bootstrap? Thanks
last time I did it, it took about three hours. Vs. nearly 15 from network. Long is relative ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

We're back on the track! The code underwent some major changes and the wallet swap is mandatory. The OP is updated with latest versions but here's the link anyway: Wallet DownloadMake sure that you use these nodes: addnode=104.193.43.106 addnode=108.61.29.219 Bittrex is informed about fork and asked for a few extra days so we could have enough time to withdraw our funds before they remove the wallet. The actuall daadline is June 5th. The update will follow as soon as they get back to us. If you're having a truble compiling the new client from the source or need any sort of guidance feel free to contact this gnarly dude above or shavers. And all of you supporting us through these restless waters will get rewarded with some sweet stuff from our kitchen. GMC Fondation Easiest way to add the nodes is by going to the debug console in the wallet and add: addnode 104.193.43.106 add
And addnode 108.61.29.219 add Waiting to see if they connect now. It's better to put them in your gamecredits.conf file. then if your peers get messed up, or whatever random event tries to ruin your day, the base nodes will just be there.

Indeed! Every single file except wallet.dat .lock, addr.dat, the db text document, the debug document, the blk0001.dat file that was in there, and the blkindex.dat file. All gone. The client re-made all the missing files and went to town. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) I'm not one hundred percent on this with HYP, but for most satoshi based clients, you can force the issue. Start your daemon or QT with -bootstrap (eg /usr/local/bin/hyperstake-qt -bootstrap) Most of them look for it anyway. And yes, always delete everything but the configuration file, bootstrap.dat, and (optionally) the wallet. I frequently do it with no wallet, and then copy my old wallet in when it's done. That way if something does go wrong, you only lose time. Force the issue like Bruce Jenner? Maybe not that much force ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

What is the optimal block size for staking?
That has been the question since the project started. I think the answer remains "it depends". I'm combining to 25K for my next few rounds, and see how it goes. Under 5K takes most of forever to stake, so you have to find the balance between your patience level and expected reward. Lower blocks take longer, but you won't always hit the cap. Bigger blocks hit the cap before you're eligible to stake. I suspect there are as many strategies as there are HYP holders.

A few notes on the changes to the new client, most minor, one major.
Overall, it's the same as before. Same code base with minor revisions to the protocol number and the way it connects to peers. That second one is because of the major one. We'll update the OP to reflect this shortly, but the difficulty adjustment is no longer Kimoto's Gravity Well. As near as we can determine, KGW is what caused the problem. Exactly why, I don't know. Noise23 did try to explain it to me, I'm just not savvy enough to get it, but it's apparently a potential problem with the algorithm. As some of you may know, I used to be involved in the Earthcoin development team (as a PR writer, primarily), and was a fan of the coin before it even launched. It has a very similar difficulty adjustment paradigm, but the code is completely different. Earthcoin has never had a problem with difficulty adjustment, so I suggested that we use that code to Noise23. It took a few attempts ( very few, the boy is good), but that's what we have now.
More details as I understand them well enough to write 'em or Noise23 chimes in. He saved our bacon.

bio mech thanks if you will save my 58000 GMC sent from bittrex tell me where can i send my 10 % for community support
We are trying to contact Bittrex. They usually get back to us, but we started the process on the weekend. I am hoping they will extend the deadline a bit so we can get properly synched up and everything moving. As for donations, I have no idea at this time ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) I'll boot it upstairs. We've updated the wallet to the latest src and its moving (i think) - our current block: query gmccoin getblockhash 1097095 79a3af44668ce07c4ca5d53e995c3d44b793d5436ca6b4335869cc5d39c5c113 And don't worry about the June 5th deadline... I'll extend it to June 12th so everyone gets a full week more... thanks, richie@bittrex Thanks, Richie. I will have the block explorer back up by morning. I got called away on urgent personal business right when we got the client working. I believe Shavers already gave you this info, but just in case, for the moment you can reference the pool at gmc.acidpool.com for the correct block height until the explorer is alive again. We ran through half a dozen attempts to get the chain right before we were satisfied, so I pretty much have to completely reindex the block explorer. Not a big deal, but time consuming. I will also have the gmc.cryptocloudhosting.org pool up again either tomorrow or the next day as well. EDIT: I hope you will reconsider delisting us. As you can see, this new team takes our duties seriously. This was a pretty bad problem, and we solved it. We're working just as hard if not harder on things to move the coin's adoption forward in the world of gaming.

Fair enough. I often use the command line even when I have the GUI available, so I guess it comes down to taste if you have the resources Interested, how do you utilize coin control this way though.. Isn't it painful? The PI2 Runs the latest QT quite well and my wallet is lets say.. rather large:-X It was more a general statement ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) coin control isn't that important on non staking wallets. Even so, you can do it. It is a PITA, though. I run a lot of wallets ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Further update.
We are testing what we believe will be the release. So far, all has worked as intended. I will update and have github/download links as soon as we're certain. Ought to be tomorrow (Monday the first), but don't hold me to it. Things could still go south.
In the meantime...
ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY NOISE23!!!

I don't have them broken up. Should I and what size?
It's totally optional. But if you only have one or two blocks, you should only stake every ten days on average. Or a bit longer. For HBN, I usually run about 200 coins to a block. But that's subjective. It gives me a stake in ~20 days.
