I said it before but Betja should not have F rating. They pay out prompt every time and have been around, and paying out, for many months now.

I know Peep's Place said that he had some past issue that was unresolved, perhaps that is why?

F rating seems too harsh in my experience, however, and I use them all the time. In fact, I prefer them to all other books because it's just sports and I don't have to play with all the other crap going on, plus odds are unbeatable. No way on earth should it be rated worse than 1xbit, good lord!
I guess it's because Betja was launched this year and most of the sportsbooks that are higher rated have been operating for years.

We'll have to give it more time for now or maybe Peeps wanted to see more feedback from others as I remember other users tried to push Sportsbet up in the rating back then.

Yes, understandable.

They still paying me out fine tho, and I reiterate, they are underrated and do not deserve an F.

I didn't take down the rating above but yesterday I did move it to NR on the first page.. Betja was nice enough to answer a lot of questions that I gave to them and I'm looking into them deeper.

Just took down the "F" from the previous post above.

Please post comments, reviews, praises and complaints here.

Although this is a player's thread, books are encouraged to post. The only rule for books is to keep their conversation to their own book and not that of another book.

Criteria used to rate a book.

1. Security - getting paid is by far most important.

2. Working with the forum. This is a player's thread and books are held responsible for their actions. Questions are asked of books concerning number of employees, time in business, experience, poster problems, etc. If a book is going to ignore a player's thread, they will be severely downgraded. Most books are very easy to work with.

The following cannot be quantified as to importance since being highly detrimental in one category may supersede other criteria used.

3. Poster review - poster review is much more important at bitcointalk than other forums, but other forums are also read. A high review from a new book will weigh less than the review of a book that's been in existence 2+ years.

4. Anonymous - one of the reasons that bitcoin books are used is to stay anonymous. There may be times where it is necessary to question players but it should be a minimum.

6. Payout speed - If the average is longer than one hour, a book will be downgraded. One hour is sufficient due to possible grading errors. A large book is dealing with a significant amount of money along with a huge player base.

7. Markets - The more betting options, the better.

8. Traffic  - time in business along with amount of players that a book has gives us a large sample size.

9. Currencies used - It's easier on the player if we are allowed to deposit and withdraw from alts.

Miscellaneous - Books accepting fiat currencies are omitted from the guide. Other forums are read to make sure the ratings here aren't significantly out of line with the average of other books.

Here's a few crypto sportsbook that could be added in the not rated list.

casinoroyale (their odds are close to nitrogensports)
Freebitcoin (their betting section is a bit different than the regular bookies but they probably fall under mutual betting once they're rated)
Coinroyale
Roobet (they have KYC though)
Betcrypt

Thanks as always Ralle. I added those books under NR along with your comments. I'll put those up in the proper categories you mentioned shortly. Ratings will go up later.
768  Economy / Gambling / Re: #1 RATINGS of BITCOIN SPORTSBOOKS : poster book discussion on: November 13, 2021, 09:59:41 AM
Coming back here to comment after some period of time. This is just a comment, not a request to alter ratings!

On KYC: I think now in this climate of increased AML/KYC pressures on sportsbooks and casinos, very soon you may need to adjust the categorisation of KYC into Yes or No (KYC possible or anon) because I think crypto books now have no choice but to comply. Obviously, no one wants to KYC on entry, so they all have different systems for triggering a KYC check (as regulators now also haven't decided).

On security (paying out): I've never had any trouble with FJ, SB, Stake, Fairlay, Betcoin, despite 3+ years on all of them -- and with FJ, Betcoin and SB, whose support are either on social media or on this forum, account issues (blocks, etc) have all been fixed once they know it's my account.

One important caveat I should say as a matter of self-awareness: I believe this is in part due to my account age, and also forum account reputation and interaction (not that I'm DT or anything, but that I'm a known player to their support, being active on their threads/social media). Stake I deal with through regular support, and my account here has no bearings on their responses haha.

In all cases, we're also talking about significant deposits and payouts over the years, dollar-value anyway but certainly BTC value for those I started a long time ago.

I don't know if the same benefits of no KYC and flexibility would apply to a new player of whom they have no prior knowledge.

Final note: So yes, these are my popular picks... and I actually no longer play at the only one listed A+ here. And if you ask me about security, I wouldn't be depositing so soon at a new site like playbetr... I feel like needing to be in business and having proven large payouts with no issues, is what would tell me is "security" of funds.

Otherwise, in my objectivity, Stake, Sportsbet, FJ, are what I'd recommend to people who want to know they get paid when they win, along with Betcoin. It does feel odd to see them clumped in "C" right next to scam sites, when in my practical understanding, all these sites actually have the same KYC "risk", despite what each may disclose publicly.

buwaytress,I have been dragging my feet on KYC. Instead of just "yes" or "no", I'll rank that on how heavy handed they are with KYC, 1-5 since the degree is different book by book. Normally more than 1 person would have to post a thought for a grade upgrade but you made some great points.

Upgrades are stair by stair. Once an upgrade is given, it will take some time before another upgrade can be given. Stake upgraded from (C+) to (B-). FJ upgraded from (C) to (C+). Sportsbet is the only book that may not reply to inquires if there are problems with a book or other questions. Their rating will remain the same.  Betcoin and Playbetr are sister books and Playbetr has been in business for 2 years which is why they have an (A) rating. Nitrobetting would be rated (A) if they were in business for 2 years. Nitrogen and Betcoin definitely warrant to be in the (A) category. Both have been in business since 2013, have a clean record, very light handed on KYC and very easy to deal with if a problem should occur. Both you and Ralle have reported Wink being down and they will be removed from having a rating.

Thank you for the insightful post that I'm sure is informative to all. It's always good to see posters such as you and Ralle with gambling and forum experience here in this thread.

edit - for everyone, please do not assume that one post will change a grade. Everyone will have different opinions and there will have to be strong sentiment, recent problems or a clean sheet to move grades. In rare cases one post will change a grade. Even if a grade isn't immediately moved, all posts will be taken into consideration for future grade moves. Not moving a grade from a post isn't a disregard of an opinion.

Can anybody still access wink.org? I cannot. Are they gone?

And btw Nitrobetting.eu is the same company as Nitrogensports, so it makes no sense to have one listed higher than the other. Both are pretty decent.

I just tried and can't get in to wink.org. True, Nitrogensports and Nitrobetting are the same company but in sticking with the forum guidelines, Nitrobetting will have to be in business for 2 years to get that A+ rating. It is somewhat unfair to Nitrobetting, but it's best to stick with forum rules and to limit exceptions. Nitrobetting will be bumped to B+ in 2022 as long as there are no hiccups. Then A+ in 2023 if things remain the same.

I guess it's safe to remove dbet.io from the list as i've been checking their site from time to time and it seems like they're down for good since their accounts have been inactive for at least a year now.

The same goes for coinbet24, afaik they removed their sportsbook and now they're focusing on their casino games.

dbet.io has been removed.
coinbet24 has been removed. As Ralle pointed out, they have discontinued their sportsbook.

Ralle - thanks for keeping this thread and the community looking at this thread informed and up to date.

There was an exception made for Sportsbet. Because of multiple poster requests and the fact that Sportsbet can keep balances in BTC, a rating was put up.

I think you should definitely post the criteria on main page because without digging this thread to find this post, it will be hard for other members to understand the criterias. I was at first amazed when I saw sportsbook in C class because it's one of the most trusted sportsbook right now.
I still think that it doesn't have a place where there are stake, bitsler, fj and similar casinos because sportsbet is on another level compared to them in sportsbook business.
Also, FortuneJack asks you to at least 2x wager your money in order to withdraw, so, idk why it isn't below C (but it's not high risk casino at the same time). I think this list and criterias need some modification and I'll may take my part in it if you don't mind.
Wow, I didn't realize that there was a 2x wager requirement at FJ. It'll be taken into account, let me look into it a little more. The criteria has been added to the first page. Thank you for the input.

While checking the list of exchanges in the OP I noticed there's a typo for true.bet at first I thought this was the actual name of the site and was about to suggest it to get removed from the list. But after a quick search I found out that it was Tru.bet based on their ann thread. Also thunderpick would be a nice addition under mutual betting, they mainly focus on esports but they still have a decent range of markets on the other sports.

Thunderpick has been added and tru.bet typo fixed. Thanks Ralle, you're a main cog that drives this thread.

776  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetJA.com | The highest Payout among all major Bookmakers + Free BTC on: October 04, 2021, 08:20:53 PM
Has free BTC been removed? Or is there a new rule regarding this? because I no longer find the free btc button.

Free btc is still active and perhaps you forget where you can claim the free btc. Let me remind you that the free btc is located under the wallet/cashier button. Once you click the wallet button, you will find 4 options (Deposit, withdraw, exchange and free btc).

Betja deserves a bit more traction with regards to sports betting imo. Compared to some other sites their software is great, odds are absolutely amazing, deposits and withdrawals are fast.

Betja needs more promotions to compete with all the other sports betting sites. Otherwise, higher odds and software will not give significant effects.

On that review aggregator on this board they have an F rating which is ridiculous.

There must be a reason why the rating is F. I just checked the thread where you asked about it, you already got the answer from the OP.

Normally I don't wonder outside of the rating's guide thread but since Betja's grade was mentioned I'd like to add the following. Betja has been contacted with questions along with the complaint. I don't want to be unfair to Betja so the grade may be adjusted after this research.
777  Economy / Gambling / Re: #1 RATINGS of BITCOIN SPORTSBOOKS : poster book discussion on: October 04, 2021, 08:10:54 PM
I'm contacting Betja today to find out about the blocked account as well as other questions. As I've previously said, I don't want to be unfair to Betja.

Why does betja have an F rating? Simply because it is a new book?

I have had nothing but good experiences with them.

There was a report in this thread that Betja blocked an account and disabled all communication. This coupled with being new created the "F" grade. One report isn't going to be a sole reason for a rating and I realize that this may be unfair to Betja but with their newness, better safe than sorry at this time. This grade can drastically change and reviews such as yours are helpful.

I suggest to make a special section with scam bookmakers. Rating D does not say anything for neutral users. It could also be a new bookmakers.
1xbit is a big scamsite, they should not be D, but they should be on a scam rating list.

Here's a list of books rated "F". Some are out of business. You have a good idea and I'll soon separate in business and out of business.
