761  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: October 12, 2014, 05:02:34 PM
What is this about?

Its a ANN thread of a cloud mining site called PBMining! If you asked something else, please explain.

   ~~MZ~~

Im looking into it, thanks, is it really legit?

Also what happens with the BTC I put, I never get them back? I just get the payments according to my hashrate, for 5 years, and that is it right? I mean if I purchase 60gh for aprox 0.1BTC I get back 0.025 a month for 5 years but without counting the diff raise and the gh/$ rate going down, but I can never get back those 0.1 BTC i gave?

Understand, you did not , as you say, put or gave btc into something. You agreed upon a contract, and bought such contract. Pb fulfills this contract each week in payment.
Why would you expect to get your original payment for this contract back? I'm confused!

English is not my native language either, but dude...

I thought you could get your "investment" back at some point

It is NOT an investment. You are purchasing a service.

FYI: I would be happy to set up an account at digital ocean and manage the account, as long as the price in BTC value can be sent to me in advance. As far as scripting, managing etc, I can help with that, but I would hope others could help with scripting, etc.

@Pilotbtc, get in touch.  So far I've been in contact with some others.  It's coming down to which person can negotiate with the provider to find the best deal. Will digital ocean be able to meet the requirements and provide a discount bulk order rate?

Anyway, this is something we definitely need so I'm certainly interested in your help.

BTW, i think sending of funds in btc is not a problem and can be worked out. Also TorrnA and I are working out an ongoing payment to the administrator of the privacy servers to be paid in both btcd and NXTprivacy.

Thanks,

Azeh
it would be better to have as many different vendors as possible
we need as big a variety as possible, to get both geographic coverage and host OS diversity

James

Digital ocean as several data centers so we could spread them out.

Amsterdam, San Francisco, New York, London and Singapore

When supertraders going to pay?  Shocked

I don't think they "pay" anything. The trading will increase the NAV of the fund, not produce "payments".

Any plans to add an auto reinvestment option?

Hi everyone

I'm admin of 0feepool. We were on the wrong blockchain and it caused many blocks void. We have upgraded wallet and it works fine without any problem. But unfortunately, All coins that on the wrong block are useless and deleted. I'm so sorry for that.

Hi Berric

Seems like the network is forked, every peer in my wallet is at a different block height.

Can you post some nodes of yours please? (do a getpeerinfo in the console)

Try these, posted a few pages ago:

addnode=178.33.39.168
addnode=94.23.29.195
addnode=176.9.63.136

So, difficulty didn't go down, but it only went up .98% today. So, payments should be about the same for the next two weeks.
768  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: October 09, 2014, 03:48:19 PM
With BTC blocks taking 40+ minutes at this time is there a possibility of the difficulty going down?

(yes, waiting for 1 confirm today for a deposit, so I needed something to do).

1. I think that if we are going to spend 500-1000$ a month on servers we should be able to press the price a little.

2. I would like to be a part of the team working with the servers, but i have almost 2 weeks this month where I will be in Italy driving world finals in go kart, so I will not be online that 2 weeks.

Also I am no expert in driving servers, but I would like to give a hand if someone else is in charge (at least in the beginning) as the winter is coming and I don't have much else to do after work.

3. If we are to use 20+ servers, we would need to have the ability to ether clone 1 server out to all the other. Or have some service passing out the chances, from the master server, as it else would be to time consuming (and to big error rate)

Please bear in mind that i am a bit dyslexic.

50 t2.micro instances on Amazon AWS would be $476/mo.

A t2.micro instance is 1 CPU, 1 GB RAM, no perm storage.

I'm pretty sure you can create 1 image and bring up VM's using that image. You can also turn them off and only pay for what you use.

A DigitalOcean VPS with Ubuntu 14.04 is $5/month

That's 512 MB of RAM VM. But, the price is certainly better if that will suffice.

ok , forgot my encryption password, anyway to recover that or am i fuked?

If you could, what's the point of encryption?

i assumed that is the case, i have been in it for months , keept it all on exchanges and haven't used password so i forgot . so bye bye my Naut 1500 ish only ones i withdrew from MP(irony i guess they were safer in new MP)

There's two kinds of people. Those that use a password manager, and those that have never forgot a password.

Sad news dude. Take a break, you'll remember it.

warning:

http://naut.0feepool.com/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks

is still on the old wallet and block chain - tell people they're getting 320 naut per block - useless coins

Did someone contact their support?
774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NAUT] Nautiluscoin - First Coin w/Stabilization Fund - Digishield on: October 08, 2014, 05:21:34 PM
Still no payout from nautipool.

Same here. Any updates ?

Not yet. I want to rent another rig so wish they'd hurry up, it's been days.

With a .1 NAUT per block, I don't think renting will be worth while, unless you point to the multipool, which I assume mines some other coin, and buys NAUT.
775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NAUT] Nautiluscoin - First Coin w/Stabilization Fund - Digishield on: October 08, 2014, 04:03:16 AM
Okay, he's right, you can use the debug console, but I personally like using the conf file.

Here's how.

Nautiluscoin.conf Locations:

On Windows:
[DriveLetter]:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Nautiluscoin\
[DriveLetter]: Most commonly C

On Mac OSX:
/Users/username/Library/Application Support/Nautiluscoin
If it doesn't exist, it is safe to create one.

Inside the Nautiluscoin.conf you can place this:

Quote
addnode=178.33.39.168
addnode=94.23.29.195
addnode=176.9.63.136
addnode=54.186.223.183
addnode=54.187.101.97
addnode=74.208.230.160
addnode=184.155.218.183
addnode=71.227.74.98
addnode=188.194.8.82
addnode=109.201.154.157
addnode=184.155.218.183

The first three are the ones posted above, the last ones are the old ones, this should also prioritize the nodes as well. According to Bryce this proof of work move is definitely moving NAUT back to the 60 second transaction times :-) which is great.

Cant get my new mac wallet to sync. Can anyone explain the above to a total noob, lots of detail required! What where do I find a conf file? help/debug/window is as far as I got.

I also haven't deleted my old mac wallet. Can I delete it without my coins disappearing?

just don't delete your wallet.dat file. Or back it up first.
776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NAUT] Nautiluscoin - First Coin w/Stabilization Fund - Digishield on: October 07, 2014, 07:42:48 PM
downloaded 1.2.0 last night, didnt sync, deleted everything in the roaming file and re downloaded the blockchain and it synced up, today i looked at the wallet and its 3 hours behind, last block processed was 34743.

any reason for this and will a fix be implemented? I dont want to have to re sync the blockchain every day or so.

EDIT: Nvm, just looked at the block explorer and apparently it takes 4 hours per block?? Is that how its supposed to be?

No, block are supposed to be 60seconds. 1.2.0 was supposed to resolve that. I think maybe a large pool is on 1.1.0 or something is forked. Just a guess though.

seems to be plenty of buying on the NXT AE though

I would say the most activity is there. But, only about .9 BTC volume in the last week.

So few people are using this coin. Look at all the empty blocks in the block explorer.
778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FIMKrypto: NXT spinoff 30s blocks, POW-like rewards, national income *FIMK on: October 07, 2014, 04:49:36 PM
Looks like there is zero buy demand for this coin on the BTC pair. That is a shame.

There are buy orders for NXT though, but at about 110 sat equivelent.

I think no one knows about this coin, and after the IPO with it only being on dgex which went down shortly after launch, it went off everyone's radar.

It's great that it is on ccedk, but that is a very new exchange with very low volume.

I might have to go buy more at these basement prices, but I only can support it with a limited amount of BTC. I am already at a loss because I bought quite a bit (more) post ICO at 500sat. I'm not complaining about the price so much as the lack of activity.

779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NAUT] Nautiluscoin - First Coin w/Stabilization Fund - Digishield on: October 07, 2014, 12:06:09 AM
I don't know. My wallet shows it is still connecting to 1.1.0 nodes and I deleted the peer.dat and used the addnode list a few message above here. My wallet says total blocks in 32784 but the explorer is on like 33753... it looks like we are getting a new block every second at this point. Although, it also looks like the coin gen is only .1 NAUT for each block.

Why does the wallet have a build date of Mar 14?
