8121  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why do people use bad exchanges like YoBIt? on: April 20, 2018, 11:23:57 PM
Many newbies begin their acquaintance with cryptocurrencies through shitcoins. And most of shitcoins are traded exactly on the Yobit exchange. With the study of the crypto market, newbies begin to understand that there are more serious exchanges like Bitfinex, Bittrex, Binance etc.

I started my journey into cryptocurrency world with the Yobit exchange, but at the moment I do not use this exchange, because I heard a lot of negative reviews about it.

Same case for me. Yobit actually is the first crypto exchange that I heard of when I was just starting my trading journey and I was awed as how trading exchanges worked back then. But it doesn't take long for me to realized that there are more exchanges out there, better than Yobit so I completely shift all my funds and traded somewhere else.

And the last time I heard there are a lot of scam accusations against them + poor customer support. They might still attract newbies because there are coins that are only listed in Yobit, however, it will just a matter of time before you seek better exchange once you experienced first hand how poor Yobit's support is.
8122  Economy / Speculation / Re: Swinging around 8k and countinnngg.... on: April 20, 2018, 10:31:51 PM
For more than a week now bitcoin's value have been swinging around 8k and counting. Indeed a good sign that bitcoin is fighting towards higher value from being down at 6,900 on the first week of april.

Will it be holding on to 8k for the next couple weeks or will it surge amidst of mid year or fall down again.

Hey Bitcoins Analysts whats your opinion..

For those who wants to track the price of bitcoin, this would probably help you. https://www.coindesk.com/price/

It's holding quite a bit in the $8K in the last couple of days then make a break out today, surpassing $8500 which is really a good sign that we might see a continues uptrend up to the up end of this week. I'm also seeing a healthy growth as well. But I don't want to be excited as this point because we don't know if this is the end of the bearish sentiments or not. Let's see how it pans out.

So short term, the price will fluctuate around $8500-$10K, up to the end of the month perhaps.

Long term: I'm seeing the price moving towards $15K-$18K range.

8123  Economy / Speculation / Re: Just $320/week gains to hit $20k by end of 2018 on: April 20, 2018, 05:47:40 PM
To get to $20k by end of the year using just steady growth, not even with a new boom phase starting, would just take an average of $320 gains per week.

There's 36 weeks left in the year, BTC is at $8500. That's $11,500 to go to break the ATH and touch $20k. Comes out to $320 per week. I don't think anyone  would say a $320 weekly gain for Bitcoin is very much. Granted it has to average that over 36 weeks, but still, looking at it this way $20k in 2018, building up to a 2019 boom, seems like it won't be that hard.

Should be a good year for making money from these prices onward!

If you are going to analyze it $320 gains is really achievable as a average gain. However, we all know that bitcoin can't go on a parabolic rise plus the market is really volatile so its hard to see it gaining at the levels till the end of the year.

But we have seen bitcoin make significant rallies in the past, huge pump of almost $1K one day. So I'm thinking at the long run it might be possible to get to $20K at the end of the year.

I wouldn't be surprised if we go and hit another all-time-high in December. Nonetheless, I would not put to much expectations on it so that I will not be disappointed if it didn't get there. At least though a price of above $10K-$15K will be a safe price for all of us.
8124  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC will cross 10k ? on: April 20, 2018, 05:08:25 PM
Bitcoin is at $8500 at the moment. I think it is definitely going to try to push past $9000.

Agree. We have crossed the psychological barrier of $8500 and it looks like everything is on our favor now. We have like more than 1 week to hit $9K so I would say by the end of the month we are about that range or even higher.

I've realised that the best guide to price is Soros. In Jan he said bitcoin was a bubble (that means he was shorting it, and trying to talk everyone else into selling in order for his short to make a profit).

A few weeks ago he said he was "going to get into cryptocurrency". That means he ALREADY was long, probably at $6600. Nobody announces their trades in advance, only after the fact. And he told everyone because he wanted everyone to buy so his long was profitable. (That kind of behaviour is illegal in regulated markets, but bitcoin is unregulated).

I don't know about the Soros thingy but we have hit rock bottom already so it means that the next logical thing to happen is to go up which we are now witnessing starting this month. Of course there are a lot of factors that made this push possible so maybe Soros announcement may have contributed but its not the sole factor for the price to go on a upward trend.
8125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse July 15 2018 on: April 20, 2018, 04:50:59 PM
"I picked a dangerous opponent in Matthysse. He's a champion but I do believe that we can box him and control the fight," said Pacquiao.

That's what I like about Pacquiao, not bragging his achievement as basis that he can overthrow an opponent.

And you know what's the interesting part of this statement? He is the one who chooses his own opponent, away from the shadow of his former promoter Bob Arum who just picks and picks and picks any boxer. Since under contract, no way Manny will just argue for the selected boxer that will placed on fight.

Matthysee is a solid fighter and hope that he can bring up the old style of Manny Pacquiao.

It is just me or both of the fighters really looks old,

https://www.boxingscene.com/photos-manny-pacquiao-lucas-matthysse-go-face-face--127283

Lucas Matthysse is the younger fighter between the two but he looks like the older way older. Maybe I hasn't followed his fights lately that's why I was quite surprised to see him this way.

Because of the hairy characteristics of South Americans or even the Americans itself, they are looking more matured than Asian people, well based on my observation. Just look at NBA players, around 18 or mid 20's looks like an early 40's here in our country.

P.S Hey I don't mean anything here.

Previously when he was still under Bob's Arum management, he can't really pick his opponent because the team wanted to "cherry-pick" his opponent to make him really good, although its really hard to see Manny banging up with big guys at at 147 lbs and above specially Margarito who is almost a full Middleweight to Super Middle when all hydrated.

Going back to Lucas, yeah maybe he looks older because Asians tends to look younger than their actual age. Maybe Lucas was still out of shape or not on fighting form that's why I observed that he is just a tad older looking than Manny. But its all good man, I truly understand what you are saying here.
8126  Economy / Speculation / Re: Clairvoyant approach versus analytical in investment decision taking on Cryptos. on: April 20, 2018, 01:37:28 AM
What is your opinion on clairvoyant prediction about futures prices versus analytical/fundamental prediction ?

Do you go for : whatever it is as long as  the results are good ? OR, whatever is the result, bad or good, you would stay with the same approach ?

Here is the example of a clairvoyant approach from a 13 year clairvoyant person who have been through the mathematical/artificial intelligence for 25 years....

https://www.theclairvoyantinvestor.com

I always blows off my coffee reading this thread. What the hell do clairvoyant prediction can do here? Do they actually see the future and what would be the price? I doubt it.

I'm never a fan of this so called psychic predictions, hell even a TA will always be a miss because the market is really 'unpredictable'. Regarding your question about the result: for me as long as it effective and giving you good results then I will stick to that approach. if aint broke dont fix it.
8127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Barclays considering Bitcoin trading desk. on: April 19, 2018, 11:13:50 PM
It's a positive change to see a large bank actually considering integration with bitcoin technology (even if it is an exchange) rather than waging war against it. I guess this will be the first of its kind, and will actually allow the bank to track transactions in bitcoin thus leaving a trail, unlike when people take out a loan to buy BTC and then default.

They have nothing to lose and everything to gain if they would just allow bitcoin to be part of them. Crypto and the new revolution, rather than waging war against it, they should embrace it and I'm sure that they will gain a lot money by having its own trading desk where most of their clients can do crypto currency trades.

First it was JP Morgan, then it was Goldman Sachs, now it is Barclays. The next in what will be an ever increasing list of big financial institutions that disparage crypto before changing their mind and getting involved.

Probably more will follow and I guess we can considering this really a good news for us. Maybe around few years from now, we may see the bitcoin adoption growing to astronomical levels as this big financial institutions are all getting involved.
8128  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-18]Crypto Fraudsters Face Jail Time, Warns Philippines Securities Regul on: April 19, 2018, 02:41:55 PM
There are too many investment schemes involving cryptocurrencies and it is just sad that many are still being victimized by those High Yield Investment Programs. It is obvious that there is something going on when the return is just too good to be true so people should already be skeptic as to why the returns are so high when in fact we are in a bear market now.

I also observed that even if the people knew that the people behind the HYIP may just run away with their money, they would still invest hoping for a return. Some even stated that it is new so they most likely would pay so they do not care about other people who would invest later on. I'm glad that the fraudsters were caught but someone would just appear again if people wouldn't change this kind of attitude.

Its going to be cyclical in my opinion. As long as there are people who are willing to invest in those so called HYIP, there will still be scammers born every minutes to try and swindle as many unsuspecting victims as they can.

I can attribute to people really wanted to make easy money because this fraudster will sweet talk you with a promise of 10%-30% returns, who wouldn't be entice on that?

Sadly though, those scammers really put a bad name on crypto in general. The greater public is again warn by the government, but I wouldn't be surprise if another scammers pull off a stunt more daring than the previous one.
8129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Paper Wallet on: April 19, 2018, 02:14:15 PM
I just wondering why some people don't use paper wallet to secure their bitcoin, Some of them are just putting to the exchanger and trust their funds that no assurance of safety.I don't understand why they did not use the most secure way to keep their bitcoins.

Any Thoughts?

If really depends on you. If you are going to be a long term bag holder then its much better to secure it using paper wallet. As for putting funds in exchanger, the most logical reason is that for trading purposes only.

But the problem lies on people keeping too much funds on a exchange and in a likelihood of a hack or a inside job, all your coins vanished in thin air. You can try using a paper wallet here: https://github.com/pointbiz/bitaddress.org

Love what I read here:

Quote
“I am not closing the doors on Freddie,” said Pacquiao, noting that “Freddie and I have a good relationship, we’re like family.”

https://sports.mb.com.ph/2018/04/19/pacquiao-not-closing-door-on-roach/

So maybe there is really a happy ending between him and the famed trainer.

I found a good article about the supposedly divorced of Manny and coach Freddie.

https://ph.yahoo.com/sports/freddie-roach-isnt-mad-things-ended-manny-pacquiao-just-disappointed-005848468.html
There's nothing that shows the link.

But when I googled it this showed, http://sport360.com/article/other/boxing/277134/manny-pacquiao-says-no-decision-on-trainer-yet-and-denies-rift-with-coach-freddie-roach

Let's wait until Manny contacts him few more months before the fight and he needs to be trained but if this never happens, their long time tied up will be gone.

Weird. I also try to access the link today and it was not there as well. It just points me back to the default yahoo homepage. Sorry about that mate.
8131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling: Culture on: April 18, 2018, 09:25:00 PM
Every country have different culture and rule.

Unfortunlately , my government really strict about gambling activity so you will see less in my country because there are many past incident that turn into bloody murder because of gambling !

in my country, although it's strict about gambling, people still playing gambling but with secret and they can play in a secret place without other people knows except the gamblers. but I am not heard any bloody murder in here because I think that the police is trying to hide any illegal things that happen in my country.
I have same situation here in my country. People are concealing themselves and these gambling points are so hidden that a casual person can’t find them. But they are only known to the gamblers and people who are in this field. Police is always behind them and looking forward for such points. Sometimes we heard police had made a raid and many people become sentenced.

Then it would be really hard for a gamblers to stay in your country if the police are always are their tail. I'm sure that those 'secret' places for gamblers will not stay that long because once the police have identified that place sooner or later raid will be coming. So gamblers has really have a lot of risk, not only you can lose your money, but you can lose your freedom as well if you are caught.

Well if that happens in my country, I will probably stop gambling, and will not put that risk specially if I have a family. Luckily though I lived where gambling is part of our culture and tradition.
8132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One country in Asia to develop bitcoin transactions legally on: April 18, 2018, 08:47:14 PM
But there was one setback because it looks like lately when a couple in the Philippines was arrested for running a HYIP and scams a lot of investors:

http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/981374/news-bitcoin-cryptocurrency-ronald-dela-rosa-cidg-investment-scam

And then Central Bank of the Philippines gave the people a fair warning,

https://www.coindesk.com/crypto-fraudsters-face-jail-time-warns-philippines-securities-regulator/

I'm pretty sure that the latest scam will be a big factor on whether the Philippines will legalizes bitcoin or put a heavier regulations because one Senator is already calling for it, https://cointelegraph.com/news/philippines-senator-proposes-stricter-penalties-for-crimes-involving-crypto. Let's see how it pans out, Philippines is one crypto friendly nation and I hope that they will continue to do so.

8133  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Bitsler accounts on Sale on: April 17, 2018, 11:18:25 PM
Why do you think it is worth to buy bitsler's account? High level account with high faucet amount? If you looking for anyone who are going to use the high faucet amount for the account, I doubt people will buy it as it wont worth the price (no matter how much you offer it).
AFAIK, it is also prohibited to sell/buy bitsler's account especially for bad purpose. Once admin notice that the account is a bought account then I guess admin will block the account. I could be wrong on this, just stating my opinion.

I don't know if they buying of old gambling accounts (with high faucet claims) has been going on for quite some time now because this is the first time I have encountered it, so I'm not sure if this is accepted or not. Of course sooner or later the account might raise a red flag and can be ban by the admin so buying this sort of account doesn't makes any sense at all.

Any balances on any of them>?

I'm assuming it doesn't have a balance but most probably a old account with a high faucet claiming privilege.
8134  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Bitcoin Experience More Price Volatility in 2018? on: April 17, 2018, 10:32:32 PM
Bitcoin may not going to be as volatile as it is in2017 but I am very sure we will still have a good year in 2018. More good news are coming out and we should rejoice that Samsung want to make used of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology. Bitcoin is going to go above the December high soonest.

The way understand it, Samsung is not joining the crypto sphere, they are using blockchain technology within their company because we all know how blockchain has many advantage. And with the size of Samsung, they really need a ledger that can be accessible from anywhere the world so that decisions (and profit) can be made in an instant, because data are being shared across.

Well this article is written back in January so yeah we have been experiencing volatility since then because bitcoin is now at $8K. But he totally get it wrong (most of the them though!) that bitcoin will not see a price below $10K as we have been on a downfall after reaching all-time-high last December.
8135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: April 17, 2018, 09:55:17 PM
What do you guys think about this.

https://www.si.com/nba/2018/04/16/lebron-james-maverick-carter-lawsuit-barbershop-show

They are being sued for allegedly stealing their barbershop show concept from a company called Adventure Enterprises. Do you think it will affect James focus on the playoffs?

I don't think so, James can just send lawyers to tend to the lawsuit and he goes to and do what he loves best, basketball. I do think though that the case filed against him have too much weight though, Lebron is famous and rich, and we all probably the company Adventure Enterprises is just after a supposed to be after a 'damage amount' so to speak.

Speaking of James, Game 2 will be big. Cavaliers doesn't want to dig a hole that they can't get out so it would be difficult if they are going to lose Game 2 tomorrow. Was quite surprise to find this, Sixers finish 3rd in NBA merchandise sales behind Warriors and Cavs.
8136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse July 15 2018 on: April 17, 2018, 04:23:02 PM
I found a good article about the supposedly divorced of Manny and coach Freddie.

https://ph.yahoo.com/sports/freddie-roach-isnt-mad-things-ended-manny-pacquiao-just-disappointed-005848468.html

Freddie was really honest that Manny really changed his life for the better.

Quote
“He made me a better trainer and a better person and of course, I’m a lot more famous now and I’m a lot richer than I was.”

And maybe this is the real reason of their separation.

Quote
“I told him that the way his career is going, being a leader in his country and being a senator and dealing with all the responsibilities that come with that, he might have to give up boxing. Boxing is a very physical sport and a very rough sport and having two jobs like he has is so tough. He’s just always going like crazy.”

Maybe Manny took it personality and was hurt about Freddie's statement. And as far as Manny getting Buboy to train him.

Quote
He said he thinks Fernandez will do a good job for Pacquiao. Fernandez has never worked at a high level, other than as an assistant to Roach, but he’s worked with young fighters in the Philippines. Pacquiao trusts him and that will be important, Roach said.

But this really sad to hear though. Freddie said that he wasn't told that he was fired and he just learned it from the news.

Quote
“If Manny would have called me and told me what he wanted to do, it would have been a perfect ending, but I learned a long time ago life is not perfect,” Roach said. “If there is anything I’m disappointed in about this, obviously, it’s that I had to read it in the newspaper and I didn’t hear it from Manny first. That stings a little, and it’s disappointing, but there are no hard feelings.
8137  Economy / Economics / Re: surprise 2018 on: April 16, 2018, 07:34:49 PM
OMG! btc prices continue to decline, most likely the price of other coins also decreased.
we need improvement in the face of this situation.
in my opinion 2018 really a lot of surprises.

Its normal for the prices of bitcoins or other cryptocurrency to decrease sometimes because there are different occurence on other countries as well such as FUD and it might help the bitcoins to increase its price or gain popularity depending on the news.

Well its really to be expected, at least for me because the December madness was something irrational and we all know that it something goes that high in any market, the next thing that will happen is a dramatic fall which we have seen happened every month starting Jan this year up to first week of April.

But right now we have seen a significant increase to $8K but it look likes its not that sustainable though because we are in the red zone right now although the dip is just minimal. Haven't heard FUD though but we need to take advantage of the situation by buying more and just hold for the long haul.
8138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse July 15 2018 on: April 16, 2018, 07:13:17 PM
This fight will be joke for sure. It would look like a battle for grandpas. Pacquiao should move on. It's not about him anymore. If he loves boxing, he can just train upcoming fighters rather than putting up  unsatisfying fights.
this match maybe not so interesting such as Pacquiao several years ago when he still being defending champion and when he has several times able to knockout his opponents but i think this match can makes Pacquiao fans satisfied because admitted or not Pacquiao is one of the best boxers that ever existed

Or maybe we can see if Manny Pacquaio has still the drawing power and can bring people on the arena. I also don't think that this is a joke fight just because he is old already and not on his peak. But Manny really loves to fight and for me that's really important because we can see that he will give his 100% every fight whoever is opponent is.

I'm sure like any boxers before him, its really hard to quit boxing because they really love it and no matter what the fans and the public has to say, if they feel that their can still go and can still pull the trigger then why not?
8139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are bitcoin transaction prices so expensive? on: April 16, 2018, 06:40:39 PM
because Blockchain Bitcoin's Scalability (Blocksize / Block Size) is overflowing with transactions every second. As a result, then there is swelling in each side of the network, resulting in greater transaction costs imposed to reduce transaction traffic.

I don't know about you guys but the latest unconfirmed tx is just below 3500 so its not overflowing or the network is not that clogged to begin with. And the spam attack has gone and I also believed that most trading exchanges are now batching their transactions and supporting Segwit (less fees) that's why the network is always free and not congested.

And when Lightning Network is rolled out, which is huge in my opinion, but if it can drastically improved the network clogging because LN is carried out off-chain, then it can free up a lot of bandwidth and network traffic.
8140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: April 16, 2018, 06:11:27 PM
Currently watching live the Playoffs Game 1 match between Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics.

99 - 96 in favor of Boston Celtics but with remaining .5 (POINT 5) second, Khris Middleton of the Milwaukee Bucks hit a quick three that leads into all 99 and an overtime.

How can I watch both games at the same time now as Cleveland Cavaliers and Indiana Pacers are now starting their match too lol.

I got the same problem once they both play at the same time.
I cannot see any replay so Youtube will be the answer for the summarized video of the game. Lol

Indiana is giving Cleveland a hard time to win.
Oladipo. Wow that man though is like Atlas that is carrying the team.
Cleveland though, their having problems with the offense. Looks like they will need more spacing just so Lebron could penetrate the paint.
It's unexpected because fans still believe that the Cavaliers are still the king in the East.
Now that they loss one game at home, I am expecting a major adjustment in game 2 because it's a must win situation for them to avoid being sweep.
They needed to adjust and play much better coming  this game two in order to have a good rhythm, we seen unexpected things happen earlier
but knowing Cavs, still believe that lebron will not disappoint their fans and will still do his jib as the king, if he wants to create another momentum
for his name then this season is the best timing for him, if he will be able to carry his young guns up to the finals then it will be more additional
accomplishment for his resume.
Didn't expect on the recent outcome of the game of Cavs, they would really need to adjust on 2nd game to be again on the momentum just like what most people said on here, these kind of scenarios can happen anytime and we might see such outcome but we wont even know since this will be depending on their upcoming performance.I see that Lebron bringing up his team to the finals will really be not easy.

That's why playoff really shows the chemistry and the will of a team to win. If look likes the Cavs really play awful in both defense and offense and most of this new members didn't contribute as well.

I take my hats off to Oladipo, really superb game and he overwhelms the Cavs defense. Its gonna be hard to Lebron seeing how the teams performs, but its just one game and I'm sure that the team needs to adjust and its scary because Indiana whopped their ass on their homecourt. Let's see how James and the rest of the Cavs react to game 2.
