8181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Never recovered bitcoins? Less than 21million? on: September 28, 2014, 03:18:20 AM
I think some mechanism should be created to counter this losing bitcoin problem. In my mind, the stuck bitcoins in specific block take a specific period of time to release that coins to miners. Or binding your email address with private key, after specific period, the owner can validate your bitcoin in the blockchain using email.
This same idea.  Again and again and again and again and again and again.

The answer is no, you cannot tell the difference between coins that are not moving due to a lost private key and coins that are not moving simply because someone is saving them for a rainy day.

The ideas you suggest will never happen because they go against everything Bitcoin is.

But if time we are talking about would be set to some really big number? I mean if lost bitcoin would 'return' to ecosystem after, say, 100 years? What then?
This isn't logical. People may just be keeping it there for a very long period of time and pass it on to their offsprings. The price would drop a lot since a lot of miners forgot about their bitcoins. We could just shift to a smaller denomination if the total bitcoin in circulation is too low.
8182  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: mining with smartphone on: September 28, 2014, 03:12:07 AM
I advice NOT to mine with a smartphone. My friend was doing some experiments coding a version of cgminer for his s4 and guess what, he fried the CPU. PoW is just not for smartphones, it's pointless.
It is pointless to experiment on a CPU which is designed to be operated at low power and low efficiency with no cooling. Even PoS is pointless since you can't run it unless you have lots of ram and space for blockchain.

8184  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some one is sending me BTC 0.00000001 , Why? on: September 26, 2014, 01:12:00 PM
Change BTC address and don't let them discover your address again?

No... as I said above, apparently what they're doing is "screen scraping" valid bitcoin addresses AS they FLOW thru the BLOCKCHAIN.

So USING an address in any way makes it catchable by these idiots.

I have had single-use disposable addresses (on casino website, for example) that have shown up .00000001 immediately after ONE transaction has gone thru it.

I can confirm this. I've changed my address a ton of times and they all end up recieving this misterious Laxo Trade 1 satoshi transaction. Now I only need to create 1 million addresses to achieve 1 BTC  Roll Eyes

Actually, you will need to create 100 Million addresses to achieve your free bitcoin.

Laxotrade sends 0.0001 BTC not 1 satoshi
Still, this isn't a good idea. The transactions may never be confirmed depending on the fees paid and the age of coin. It would take a lot of fees to send 1million 0.0001. Your CPU would be quite maxed out generating 1million addresses and your wallet.dat would be extremely big.

Payment confirmed.  Smiley Thanks

What was the issue with compiling anyway? Could you post what exactly you have done to make it all work, for future reference?
Yesterday, I tried to do it on Ubuntu and it didn't work using this tutorial https://github.com/BitcoinPlus-org/bitcoinplus/blob/master/src/makefile.unix. I tried it again on debain and it didn't work too. I began to search around the internet for help and didn't manage to find any. I realised that since this is a POS coin, the POW compiling may not work. I went to see this and modified it a bit to make it compatible for BitcoinPlus, which is the commands and it worked.

8187  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular Bitcoin Game | 0.91% Edge | PVP | Jackpot | Faucet on: September 24, 2014, 11:45:12 AM
Lol you all make me laugh, the way I was gambling it was practically impossible for me to have those kind of streaks.  I was doing fucking awesome and I guess they noticed that.  I don't give a fuck what you say of course you are going to defend something you believe in.  LabKitty you make like .0001 a day, so you are just a pussy gambler and I don't even know why you gamble.   Sick of the retards on this site anyway, sure there are legit dice sites.  FUck primedice and fuck everyone who lingers there.
Typical kid on the internet. In short words, are you expecting your method to be 100% foolproof? Oh damn take my advice and go research more about gambling before coming here. You are complaining due to such a small loss when Primedice is clearly provably fair. I don't give a damn of what you said, if they are really cheating, I don't think his trust would still be so positive. And you are looking down on others just because they only afford to bet what they are willing to lose?
8188  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular Bitcoin Game | 0.91% Edge | PVP | Jackpot | Faucet on: September 24, 2014, 11:21:13 AM
I turned .05 into .3, then lose it all with impossible losing streaks, not even betting more than I had to get there.  It is definitely rigged don't give  a fuck what you say.

Everytime I withdrew money too would start to get horrid streaks.  The shit will make you win so you keep tryin until it takes everything away making you want to invest more so it will take it away.  The only way you can profit is in pennies, or if you have an endless supply of BTC to throw at it.  I'm convinced anybody over 5+ btc profit there is affiliated with the site in some way.  Who the fuck would run a legit gambling website?  Even with house edge, the shit is such a fucking scam.  I am going to stick to trading fuck all this stupid shit...
Hahaha you really made me laugh so hard. Gambling streaks are 101% possible in any case, Stunna have no reason to cheat 0.3 worth of money when he have 2000+ BTC, that's peanuts. Dooglus and a lot of other trusted people have won a lot of BTC and have said that they are 100% fair. Honestly, I doubt Stunna would risk his reputation to scam people of 0.3BTC. I suggest you to search on the internet on what is varience and provably fair, before commenting here. Anyone without infinite money will not profit in the long run, if not why is casinos here? I strongly suggest you to stick to trading rather than gamble and accuse of casinos being a scam after losing money.
8189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Transaction stuck as uncomfirmed on: September 24, 2014, 09:53:41 AM
Will we get our our btc if it is taking too long to get a confirmation? Because i was refunded. So i just want to know whether it is because of Blockchain.info wallet or is it normal?

  ~~MZ~~
In simple terms, yes. The network will just forget about this transaction and the coins will not be spent at all. It is normal, as transaction are usually dropped out of mempool after a period of time which it is unconfirmed. Blockchain.info wallet typically stop broadcast after sometime, so the coins will return to the wallet. If the transaction is continuously broadcasted, it will not be returned to your wallet until it stops broadcasting, depending on your client.

Thanks! So what is the estimate time of stopping broadcast? 2 days? OR does this depend on the transaction?

  ~~MZ~~
This depends on your client, some stops broadcasting after a while and some continues for longer periods. It doesn't depend on transaction as all transaction is broadcasted the same way.

8193  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Blocked Chinese IP? on: September 23, 2014, 10:40:21 AM
china and russia sure don't like bitcoin any bit.. i guess they don't want people cashing out, instead of holding their currencies.

Most governments in the world don't know bitcoin. Smiley
For the second part, if they don't want their people to buy bitcoin, shouldn't they put some stricter regulations on their local exchanges rather than blocking bitcointalk?
1) Most governments have already noticed bitcoin and have set or is setting regulations regarding that.
2) it is hard to block Bitcoin buying and selling even with strict regulations. They may have blocked bitcointalk because people can trade currencies here without the government knowing.
8194  Economy / Services / Re: [Stable]***Affordable*** Coin Node Hosting Service on: September 23, 2014, 01:36:19 AM
Are all 3 available slots hosted on the same server? If yes, do they have separate IPs or share the same one? Please check https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=714606.0 and
let me know if there would be any issues with hosting full node for that altcoin.
I can host it for you. If you are interested, contact me via PM with the address and period you are interested to rent for. Thanks Smiley
Edit: Yes, they are hosted on the same server, they have different IP assigned for each node.

Congratulations !!! You Tx has been included in block 00000000000000001b6ae401ed50b19a1fcb358e6e578511a5544540cb45873f mined by Eligius. Smiley

So Blockchain.info does not "cancel" a transaction after 24 hours.
No client can cancel any transaction. It all depends on pools if they want to include it into a block, if no pool wants to include it, it will be forgotten from their mempool. Some clients rebroadcast them for a period of time before stopping, some don't. You have to be lucky for pools to not include your transaction into a block until it is forgotten by the network and your client stop broadcasting.

Why run a node?:
If you are a normal user:
You can rent a node to help to support your favourite coin. It can help to speed up your blockchain downloads and also make the network more secure.
If you are a coin creator/developer:
You can buy a node to help to speed up your user's blockchain download.
For more info, contact me via PM with coin detail. Smiley

8198  Economy / Lending / Re: Want 1BTC , 0.5BTC interest, 5 x 0.3btc daily payments starting before you lend on: September 21, 2014, 10:18:41 AM
So you don't actually need any of these loans you're requesting all over the forum? Just trying to buy positive feedback?

No way I am not after positive feedback, I am after trading and investing right now and I do need this loan.

Here is what I offer :

1-Visit my btcjam profile and follow me...you can browse the loans to see I invested in almost all of them and I have 0 debt because i can't make 1-loans(they did not approve my only govnt. id card, long story short, I won't borrow there). These are small investments but it's still 15-20 payments every day or every week by each one of the people i invested in. Add to that the trading I make and that I am missing right now because I want more btc to trade so I'm here explaining :p

2- Add me , if you want, to your skype account

3- in my btc jam profile you see im fbook connected, paypal, ebay, references, followers, etc...so I wont run with the 1btc because you could paste this forum link to them if I stole it..and when you think of the real value of 1btc right now i wouldn't be so nervous lending it if I could, it's a sick intereset(0.5btc interest in a week) but it will be less interest next time someone lend me btc, this rate is just to make you trust me one you are paid Smiley

Here is my profile link anyway, pv me or talk me directly here if interested.

It doesn't mean anything, if you default, the investments will still go back to you. Loan from your bank if you want to trade. Skype doesn't mean anything, anyone can create a new skype account after a scam. Your facebook, paypal, ebay, references and followers can be faked, facebook friends and accounts can be bought easily. The interest is too high and it make you seem more fishy. What if you promise me 100BTC interest and you don't repay a single cent?
8199  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: baddest way to scam/streak maybe but smells scam PRIMEDICE on: September 21, 2014, 10:13:52 AM
You shouldn't gamble anywhere online if you don't know how it works. Primedice is one of the most trusted casino in Bitcoin world, streaks will happen, do you expect to make a profit so easily? There's no free lunch in the world, if not, why does Primedice exist anyway. Long lose streaks will happen in any amount of bet and you can verify EVERY SINGLE bet, if in doubt, change the client seed. I don't think they would even bother to scam people.
8200  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering BTC loans [no collateral] on: September 21, 2014, 09:45:33 AM
Amount:0.2
Reason: To do some trading and have to purchase items with bitcoins
How am I going to repay?: I have a signature payment due and I can repay it also with my money I am going to get.
Interest rate: 2% per day, 4% on each day after 31 October 2014
Time period: 31 October 2014
Repayment will be split into blocks of 0.045, when I get signature payments and more bitcoins.
I have also done several small loans in the past, you can PM monbux to directly send the signature payment to you when the payments come. (if possible)

First sign from this address: 192fqgb5aCKrjNkudGqSWR6Nuu4J8tEMB7

Then I'm willing to give you 0.1 btc for 3 weeks, with other conditions same as you stated. 6 weeks is too long. Once you repay after the 3 weeks, I'll consider giving you another one. You can see the 3 weeks as a half-way checkpoint to make sure you can still repay.

What does monbux have to do with this? Is he the escrow for your sig campaign? Please give more details or link to this.
Monbux is the escrow for my signature campaign.(https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=774226.msg8753993#msg8753993)
I guess 0.1 should be enough for some small trades  Smiley.
Please send the loan to 192fqgb5aCKrjNkudGqSWR6Nuu4J8tEMB7.
