8421  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: PrimeDice Is A Scam! on: August 03, 2014, 03:02:49 AM
Variance is different rolls.

The streaks are changing with different types of bets, which = SCAM = Change of odd's per % win.
Obviously you are going to experience different streaks with different odds. If you roll 80, the settings with roll under 49.5% one wouldn't win. However, the one with 90% odds will win. 90% chance basically lowers your payouts while lifting your chance of winning. While 49.5% lowers your chance and increase your payout.

Just joined today for side advertising sig.

starting post 581.

Kindly confirm if i'm enrolled or i'm doing it correctly.

Thanks

Are you sure Stunna allows Personal Message advertising apart from PD?

As far as I'm aware it is allowed. Your not allowed to have anything else in your signature however. Regardless, I'm going to stop using the personal message ad as I never received payment. Lame.
I really don't understand why would they want to use the side advertising, it pays quite low with limit of 100post. Stunna can decline your payment as you are advertising two different paid advertisers even though it is a side ad.
8423  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: PrimeDice Is A Scam! on: August 03, 2014, 02:45:45 AM
You clearly do not understand about the logic of gambling. Gambling is not about your win lose ratio. Obviously, you would have larger lose streaks in bigger runs. It isn't anything they can control. Varience always happens, no one can prevent this and this isn't what a casino owner can control. Do you know what's house edge? It is the multiplier of payouts, with 0 house edge, you can have 50% win chance and 2x payout. With 1% house edge, the chance is 49.5% and payout is 2x.
PS. I am not a troll or supporter of Primedice. You are making false accusations about a specific casino without any true evidence which points towards the casino owner manipulation of rolls. Try it in any other casino and see if you will get your desired result.

How much are people getting from these signature campaigns? I'm still waiting for my first payout and remain a bit skeptical. The faucets, while paying dust, at least pay at the same time every week...

I'd be eager to hear some experiences from you all and the OP may benefit from the education.

I can see that you have joined the 777coin campaign.
Lightlord and 777coin are here for quite a long period of time and so I don't think you need to worry about the payment.

The amount you can earned really depends on your member rank and your post count.
For your reference, Stunna has paid PD sig campaign participants almost 26 btc just last month. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=291387.msg8082102#msg8082102
Lightlord will pay but they delayed payment for sometime for two consecutive periods already. They are sure trusted but I don't think people would like to join them because of delayed payment. Still, they are trusted and the only campaign which allows newbies and Jr.members.
8425  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Worth mining? on: August 02, 2014, 04:10:14 PM
Not really worth mining, unless you have a lot of luck, space, and free electricity.

An ROI may occur if you buy really-high-power equipment soon, as it could help to skoot along the possibility of getting an ROI.

Make sure you have efficiency and speed. Those are the two necessary things to have.
ROI is never guaranteed. To have more possibility, you need to be the first in the world to receive the most efficient ASIC. You can mine it before anyone else. Since it is sold in batches, difficulty will increase when everyone have receive their ASIC unless it is a limited edition super efficient one which does not exist.
8426  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What should I do with over $4-5 worth in BTC? on: August 02, 2014, 04:06:42 PM
I just invested about $2 worth of bitcoin at Cryptostocks.com. I don't really expect anything but at least I can pretend to invest instead of watching your wallet NOT get any transactions ever....

Stick around for some time in this forum, your wallet will witness some action.  Smiley

I sure hope.  Grin I am trying to sell my old gaming accounts (RuneScape, League of Legends... Roblox!!! Shocked ) for BC but everyone seems to think it's a scam. Maybe if I lower the price to border on ridiculous...
You can always use an trusted escrow to escrow your transaction. However, I think it is possible to claim back the account using heir support. You would really need some trust ratings to make sure people would trust you. Try selling real life items. Maybe some things that is only available in your country.

If I change my signature now, would I still be payed? Because I need to put wallet addres for POS giveaway to my signature and I thought that I will be payed till now.
You might need to PM him. Most likely, you will. If not, he stated that the last period was a few days ago. If you decided to change your signature after the period ended, you would most likely be payed since you only changed the signature after the period ended. The post you made between the time period you have changed your signature to your wallet to you changing it back would most likely not be counted. You need to clarify about this since I am not him.
8428  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Worth mining? on: August 02, 2014, 03:06:13 PM
I don't think mining is currently profitable if you still have to buy all the equiptment yet.

However, that's with the current price. If you stash your mined BTC (which are now worth about, let's say $600), if might have been profitable in the long run (when the value might be about, for example $1500).  However, that's quite a gamble (in which you shouldn't be involved with money you can't afford to loose / money you lend).

Short term trading etc is still profitable (if you know how to, and got some luck).
Why don't you just buy BTC? If you actually just stash mined BTC from bought machines, the profits would be way smaller, shipping fees, overpriced equipments. It is better to use that amount of money to buy BTC as the fees combined would still be smaller than the loss from mining.

I totally agree with you. That's also the way I roll. I quit mining since many months now.   But what I ment to say was that mining still might be profitable. So if the topicstarter is really into mining, he might ROI in the long run.

Directly buying BTC instead is a smarter step in my opinion too, but hey, that's his own decision.

Mining can still be profitable.  There are so many variables.  Electricity and room is a lot of it.  With cheap electricty and lot's of extra room I am lucky.  I imagine in San Fransisco these are a premium so do ROI, also look at hosted if want to mine.  Again do ROI.

As far as "own currency exchange building". It is very hard to do legally and compete.  To get to where coinbase is you would have to most likely in spend hundreds of thousands to become a operating currency exchange in us.   Yes... you can do something like localbitcoin, but in US this is technically considered money laundering.

So far no one I know of has been in trouble for just localbitcoin trading, there has always been something larger that caused it to be looked into. But look into money laundering before doing your own currency exchange. Or better yet talk to a lawyer who can help you on business idea who knows far more then me Smiley
Mining equipments are very expensive in the first place. If people think like you, a lot of people would start mining and increase the difficulty, thus making mining very unprofitable. You still have some chance if you do have free electricity. I don't think one would like to run it near their house therefore they need to rent spaces, it requires alot of money to begin with.
8429  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Would faucets be worth it if you thought Bitcoin will reach $1-10 million? on: August 02, 2014, 03:02:59 PM
i think there is no more faucet if we reach that
I think OP meant that if we use faucet now, will we be wasting our time, not in the future.
I don't think it is really profitable even if it really reach that high. Even a simple low paying signature campaign can pay far more than that. It isn't possible for BTC to reach that value. In order for that to happen, we have to first stop Money laundering and Terrorist Financing. That is necessary since large adoption is required for that to happen. Government cannot allow BTC to become a legal tender because you can launder money and use it for terrorist financing. We must also convince people that BTC is more convenient than cold hard cash which cannot happen as you need a internet connection. People also think that BTC have security flaws, thus avoiding them.
8430  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What service can send an email when a bitcoin payment received? on: August 02, 2014, 02:03:46 PM
I have used blockchain.info and coinbase.com. Both of them send email when payment is received. Blockchain.info even send SMSes, they can have downtimes so they aren't fully accurate. Blockchain.info is however, a safer choice since you manage the private keys yourself.

8432  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice 3 - RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCED on: August 02, 2014, 01:19:50 PM
Are we allowed to play Primedice through tor?

what will be duel will be like?
example
I say the number will be less than 50 and other will say the number will be above 50 like that?

Yeah probably.
You can now. In the future, it won't probably be. I don't see any reason Stunna should block tor since it promotes anonymity and Bitcoin is meant to secure your anonymity. It won't probably make any difference if Tor is blocked since people can still access using private VPNs.

why would Stunna care about your identity?

you deposit, you gamble

I see no reason why VPNs or Tor would be blocked
This isn't the issue of whether Stunna cares or not. You are placed at risk of an identity theft. People wouldn't risk their identity for a little casino which offers features other casino have. If I am a tor user and value my identity a lot, I wouldn't want to risk it to visit a site run by someone whom I don't know and does not allow tor.
8433  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: “BadUSB” exploit - How would you protect your bitcoins on backup memory sticks? on: August 02, 2014, 01:16:07 PM
That's not really the worry though.
If you somehow recieve a BadUSB infected device and connect it to your computer, your computer is now also at risk.
If you connect it to a offline computer and create wallet, it wouldn't be much of a worry. You can also create raw transactions on that offline computer too. It is considered as safe if you never connect it to a online computer or if the computer you have connected to goes online.

8435  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin/Litecoin Mining Hardware Investment on: August 02, 2014, 12:03:28 PM
Hey Everyone!

Total newbie here.  I've been checking out the forums and I still have a few questions.  I've read that bitcoin/litecoin mining on laptops is a completely stupid move.  That being said, if I invested in some bitcoin or litecoin mining hardware & ran it on my laptop would it still destroy my computer?  If so, why?  Does it have to do with how much power my laptop can generate or its basic internal graphics card?

Likewise, would it be wiser to invest in litecoin mining hardware considering that I am getting into the Bitcoin market so late?  (not that I'm diving into the Litecoin market at any better time)

Thanks!

Do you have cheap electricity? If not, you may not get a profit from buying those ASIC (sha256 or scrypt), and you should simply buy some bitcoin IMO.
I doubt even with free electric, you may certainly ROI. It totally depends on the price, lifespan and difficulty. Currently, the only way for it to be profitable is to own a very efficient ASIC that not much people have. If it is released in large quantities, the difficulty would increase to very high.
8436  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Worth mining? on: August 02, 2014, 12:00:31 PM
Well since BTC is being legal tender in california I'm looking into way to profit off this big move such as ideas/mining/owning my own currency exchange building mabe in sanfran.

Personally do you feel i should just stick to what i normally do, or should i put up some money i can spare into a bigger project?
Owning an exchange requires you to go through legal procedures, build your own server and manage security. This isn't something that anyone can manage, if something gets stolen, you would be 100% responsible for the explaination and your reputation would be gone completely.
8437  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: “BadUSB” exploit - How would you protect your bitcoins on backup memory sticks? on: August 02, 2014, 11:57:05 AM
Protecting your wallet backup with a strong password should be able to migrate most of the attacks. It would take a lot of resources and time to bruteforce a long and strong password.
8438  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: August 02, 2014, 10:48:37 AM
Just changed my sig too. Also I've noticed that the sig for full members doesn't display properly on my mobile phone. It's not a huge problem though - just the bottom blue bar doesn't show up.

just updated my signature  Smiley , i have very low post counts in past months will any one confirm that all post counts will carry over to next month ?? and how to collect payment ??

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but I think it carries over to the next month. You should be alright as long as your name is on the currently enrolled users list. So if you haven't reached the 50 post limit on the 17th of a particular month, then you can claim it on the 17th of the following month. If by then, you still haven't reached the limit, then you can wait however long it takes until you reach it and then claim it on the 17th of that month.

Thanks for the clarification !! do i need to process payment manually ?? cause from past 2 months i didn't processed it once .. So my post counts are still acceptable for payment ??
If you are confirmed to be enrolled or have already filled up the form two months ago, claim all your post that you didn't claim for the past month at the 17th. Posts are automatically rolled over to the next month if you did not claim it.

Hey guys . Thank your for those many answers.

In the German section someone just donated me 0,001.

I would have never believed that someone who doesnt even know me would send me BTC to support my project.

Yeah i know that thos free bitcoin sites paying very very bad, but i dont want to reach the whole BTC through that ... that would take ages.

I just want to have a little amount of mBTC and start to trade with that or invest in Cloudmining at PBmining.

In the german section there is a few guys who reached their ROI with PBminin and are now earning btc.

thx for the new freebitcoin sites =) i will try them out and then i will add them to my routine

Greetz InZSan3
Pbmining IMO is a sketchy site. They did not provide a source of where their coins came from and their hardwares mining. Nearly all cloudmining services would most probably not ROI depending on the difficulty increase. The amount of people who actually ROI would most likely be lucky and difficulty increase wasn't that high.

My last amount was 0.06 which was only two weeks, between the period which I joined and payment date, hardly two weeks. I have seen some active posters at max limit, 0.4 or more. Other campaigns allow you to post 50 and get 0.1. It really depends on your quality of post, quantity of post and amount of payment each post or each member ship level. You must also join a reputable campaign to avoid being scammed.
