I'm worried about their disproportionate ability to influence DAOs.
Humans wont be the only actors in the economy. So will A.I.. And A.I. wont have an ex-wife to take half of their money. An A.I. wont lose respect for money through generations.

------ Edit ------

Imagine we call it "proof-of-work" selling the dream that you'll never have to work again

AI is just a tool used by human. So if human is getting divorce, wife will take half of money earned by ... AI in this case. Unless you are talking about full consciousness AI. If so, then answer my question... why would a super intelligence manipulate your DAO? What are the benefits for a being who can have everything and needs nothing at the same time? We are just a peace of walking meat.

Check IDENA. It might be interesting for you. Its very small project. It has fixed rewards (50k new coins daily). So there is always inflation but the rate of inflation (percentage) is going down over time. Its not POW, its Proof of Person. Sybil resistance achieved via touring test.

1000 years from now there will be a very harsh class distinction between those whose family's were "lucky" enough to invest in bitcoin, and then peons that fight for for smidgens. It's the peons that will be contributing to the economy with real goods and services. while a few lucky lottery winners contribute nothing to the economy.

Yep those 10 uber reach people will definetly be a big thing for other 10B. For sure 10B people will be poor only becuase 10 people have zillion $ worth of bitcoin. We should do everything we can to stop them from being rich. We all have to be equilly poor.
You have to read about all those rich families over last 2 millenia. Which of them are rich now? there is no amount of wealth that will last more than 10 generations. Your son will have 4 kids, 2 wifes. Ex wife will take half rest will be split by 4 for each son. Add a factor of 10 into calculation (or 30 for 1000 years). Each new generation will have less respect for money untill its all gone. I'm not worried that after 1000 years the successors of the current btc buyers will be too rich. In fact in 1000 years most of this wealth will be lost (by not storing private key well enought).

And inflation does not make things equal. We don't have equallity now. We have poor people, we have uber rich people.

Once upon a time I used to be into everything that has everything to do with Artificial Intelligence and I was happy that some blockchain projects are into A.I but they never seem to get better adoption, A.I is something g the world wants but it just seem too early, now I've give up on crypto / blockchain A.I projects but now

What about Metaverse? Will this use case faces the same fate? I am worried that we are too haste into the future like we won't be needing this until some several years later, is this something to be worried about?

AI is not a 2020+ thing that just show up and is about to explode in this year. We have crypto winters, AI lovers have AI winters too:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AI_winter

From time to time people talk a lot about AI and than nothing for next few years. It may explode in 2023 it may explode in 2033. Its hard to guess and even harder to invest. I would NOT look for a good AI investment during and inside blockchain bubble. Its just not make sense. Its a multi billion $ thing and you need a huge database to even start. Its not that a 3 clever dudes will collect 10 mln $ from ICO and dominate AI with it. You have google and other big companies that knows everything about us. They will be first with usable AI. So if you want an AI investment buy nvidia, alphabet stock. Maybe intel, ASML, samsung for hardware site of this industry.

Metaverse will not hit mass adoption without good and cheap VR sets or neuralink chips that can stream 8k with other 5 senses (touch, hearing, smell, etc) into your brain - like braindance in Cyberpunk. We need a decade or two for this. And its a big companies deal. Not "3 clever dudes will collect 10 mln $ from ICO and dominate metaverse". Tencent/blizzard/EA have billions $ for investments and thousands of well-qualified programmers.

@MoneyBomber
Why you care about "fairness" of token distribution across old and new users if you aim to build on POW. In POW amount of tokens you have gives you zero privilige over person with 0 coins because your vote depends on mining power you put in network. the amount of coins you have gives you nothing more than an ability to spend it and its not something that should be limited/forced.

Inflation is not good for us. Stealing from savers is not good, and it is crazy that we even talk about it. We were told this because the current financial system is a pyramid scheme that will collapse if not 3% inflation (there is more debt than money in circulation so its impossible to pay it all without creating new debt).

Besides bitcoin, I don't see any viable project as you say and moreover, the government is strong enough to do whatever it takes to stop even decentralized exchanges without single identity. If they don't manage it, then they will destroy it, that's what the government will do.

We still live in a world where the government has the highest power and our world is still centralized, so I don't think anything will set us free. Bitcoin is a great invention, it has given us more rights to our property, but that doesn't mean decentralization is sacrosanct for them.

How to stop true decentralized exchange that is nothing more than an open source code? Smart contrant that people use to transfer founds from anonymous walet xx to anonymous wallet yy. What will they do? Ask every single person who copied code to delete it?

"The Streisand Effect Proves When You Try to Hide Something on the Web, Everyone Sees It"

Beyonce paid milions to remove this picture from internet:

its still here.

government can take down centralized indentity only and only in its jurisdiction.

And they dont care if you swap one worthless shitcoin to another one. They care about fiat/crypto getaways.

868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NFT Speculation on: December 18, 2022, 10:22:14 AM
Once the regulations are in place, that means they will regulate the entire crypto industry, not just centralized projects. Defi or any decentralized project today created and managed by individuals, organizations, or companies, regulation has never been difficult for the government.

Defi created and managed by single person/company is not a DEFI. Its centralized project with token to monetize it and fancy word to pump it. True and decentralized project won't be stopped nor destroyed by regulations. Its use case can be limited but not the way it works because there is no single identity that can be sanctioned for not obeying rules.
869  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NFT Speculation on: December 18, 2022, 08:27:54 AM
I think it's going to be the next one to be regulated? I read news before that NFT are the new honeypot for criminals to launder their money by buying those expensive art?

Not sure if this is true though, but it makes sense, sense other "loopholes" in crypto has been closed already by regulators, so the criminals will have to find another way to sort of mix and hide their illegal money.

So just matter of time before regulators comes with their heavy hammer and go to NFT space and crack it down.

Its a perfect place to launder money.

1- you have stolen/dirty founds on your ETH wallet
2- you create new, empty ETH wallet, not connected to first one and create shitty art with monkey
3- you put shitty art with monkey on sale for 1 mln$
4- you use dirty/stolen founds to buy art
5- you end up with 1 mln $ clean founds from selling art on 1 eth adress and shitty art with monkey on "dirty wallet'.

Fun fact is that this shitty art with monkey has trade history of being sold for 1 mln $. So its possible that you will find newbie who will buy it for 10k$ (because its down 99%).

I'm sure that 90% of big NFT trades, that everyone is excited about was just an example of scam explained above.

871  Local / Polski / Re: Binance vs FTX on: December 17, 2022, 05:55:56 PM
Widzieliście jak dobrze działa binance FUD?

https://www.binance.com/pl/feed/post/53973
"In response to the collapse of FTX, Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, has released details of its cold wallet reserves, disclosing proof of digital asset holdings worth more than $69 billion."

872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP future looks shaky and uncertain on: December 17, 2022, 11:55:46 AM
I think that's because XRP had a great/big community, same with Dogecoin and Dogecoin was also being bullied for being a meme coin, yet it was still standing strong. Only those who think or talk negatively about XRP are maybe just a hater of it and they are only spreading a FUD. XRP isn't the same as the 2017 mania coins but again like Dogecoin, XRP is much older than them.

The difference is that dogecoin was made as meme but appeared to be something bigger while XRP was made to be something big but it looks like it will end up as a meme. XRP has no advantage over competitors. XRP did not achive anything in last 3 years.
873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NFT Speculation on: December 16, 2022, 06:56:48 PM
Similar to what I have been saying for a few months, I speculate that as more and more regulations come to control Defi and the cryptospace industry, the next unregulated part of this will be the NFTspace.

No one is going to regulate DEFI. At least in comming 5-10 years. So far they are trying to regulate centralized exchange which seams no to work good (FTX scam). So in next few years they will close some fiat/crypto getaways, they will regulate the rest of them. Made in/out of crypto 100% KYC. After its done they can try to regulate DEFI but how?
The only way to regulate defi on ETH is to buy 51% of tokens or convince hodlers of 51% of tokens to do something. And thats only ETH defi. BNB,TRX,AVX,DOT, MATIC defi is intact. So no one will migrate to NFT. Big money will not move to buy pictures for millions. Big money will buy BTC and ETH as the most liquid and safe assets. Regulations will help that. Big money don't buy illiquid assets. NFT is super illiquid.
874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP future looks shaky and uncertain on: December 16, 2022, 06:48:33 PM
I am sorry if this hurts XRP fans and Armies on here

I think XRP will be useless in future because there won't be any need for it's existence, it won't be needed as a bridge to converting crypto coins or currencies once Fiat moves to CBDC finally. Think about it and if you think that I am wrong do drop your reason why.

It was always like that. XRP is going nowhere. i'm surprised how its possoible that its still in top 7 CMC. It should be dumped below top 20 CMC as most of the 2017 mania coins like EOS, VET, LINK etc. Especially though there are many alternatives to it and in fact CBSC makes XRP totally useless.
875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: December 16, 2022, 10:47:23 AM
Qtrade was a good exchange but unfortunately they wanted to create a new project so had to close the exchange

"That said, as the ecosystem has been evolving we've seen fewer and fewer projects in line with the goals of the exchange, and we don't expect this to change in the near future. Additionally, ongoing compliance and operational costs are substantial and with recent current events we expect even higher compliance costs in the future."
https://qtradehelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/11423085662733

Thats the reason not the fact that new project is more important. The volume on qtrade was going down day by day. It was ~1000$ on average for last few months (its like 500$ profit monthly minus compliance and operational costs). I was surprised why they continue to operate because it looks to me that they are doing it pro bono. And it restores faith in humanity. Despite adding to the business, they did not run away with the rest of the investors' money and they give a year for withdrawals. Hats off Qtrade
876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: December 16, 2022, 08:50:17 AM
Take your coins from qtrade. After 4 years of existance and close to 3 years of supporting IDENA, qtrade decided to shut down its service:

"qTrade.io is shutting down

Thank you for your support over the years! Make sure to withdraw your funds as soon as possible. Announcement with and more details and dates here"

Thank you Qtrade for being the first exchange that listed idena, zero hacks, zero users money lost and no exit scam in last days especially in current times when top2 exchange (FTX) end up being one big scam.

"After March 31, 2023 we will offer some form of withdrawal option for at least one year"
877  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future Outlook of Tron (TRX) - It can be next Ethereum? on: December 15, 2022, 09:30:34 PM
Yea TRX have great adoption. Is accepted in ATMs all over the words (one of few coins achieved that). It have decent traffic - one of the best but the problem with TRX investment is the USDT risk. Tether (cheap usdt transfers) is responsible for the majority of TRX traffic. So if tether FUD is true and Tether will go down ... i think it may take TRX down as well. At least majority of traffic and evaluation, which is enormous ($ 5B).
878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you buy more ETH after reading this ? on: December 15, 2022, 09:25:48 PM
As per the data, the only case where you had been in loss by investing in ETH will be when you invested 1 year ago. Even that be neglected if you have strong hands and can hold for some more time for prices to rise again.

"Past performance is no guarantee of future results."

The fact that you would be a millionaire by investing in ETH 7 years ago does not mean that you will be a millionaire after 7 years from today by investing now. Its possible that the best gains are already behind us. Its possible that we will shuffle between 500$ and 4000$ for another decade until recession is over. Nothing is certain, there are only propabilities. And past performance is not the best indicator.
879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This forum looks more like Altcoin Price Discussion on: December 15, 2022, 09:19:39 PM
Nearly all threads involve some price discussion.

At least on the bitcoin side, you can find some interesting technical discussion in
Bitcoin Forum > Bitcoin > Development & Technical Discussion

I wish there was something similar for altcoins, where no price or investment discussion was allowed...

create your own, self moderated thread. If there is a big demand for such discussion, maybe it will grow as much as "Wall Observer BTC/USD" - 31 000 pages. But i doubt that. 99% of alts are copie/paste of other project with strong marketing only. Made for pump and dump shame.

Ta komisja to perfektycznej wydarzenie dna. Jak zmusić ostatnie słabe ręce:
