861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do any casinos offer cryptocurrency staking? on: August 08, 2021, 04:42:35 AM
Getting an online casino that allow you stake your tokens with an annual revenue is a pretty sure deal and a cool way of diversifying your portfolios, but the challanging aspect will be that while your tokens are been staked you will not be allowed to place a bet on them. Its only profitable for gamblers with high stakes who can comfortably spread their deposits and still have enough to stake.

This is one way of marketing of the casino as at some casino they allow staking along with gambling. Since the competition is growing among the online casino, they tend to give more and more offers so more people come and play at their casino.
862  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Exposed to children on: August 07, 2021, 03:28:14 PM
If you have kids that are on 10 to 16 years brackets you should watch what they are watching and what they are following and bookmarking, there are so many streamers and YouTubers promoting gambling sites and they are keywords away and many of them are even recommended by Youtube as relevant contents or videos, you should educate your children on what to watch and who they follow.

These days its difficult to control the kids and children because everything is available on mobile and its hard to track all the time the activity of the children.
If you want that you want children to remain away from gambling, you should sd counselling with them and tell the pros and cons of gambling. This will help them decide better.
863  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google starts accepting Bitcoin ads on: August 06, 2021, 11:52:59 AM
Google's latest ban on Bitcoin advertisement wasn't of much help actually. Because frauds were still finding a way to advertise their campaigns and trick people into them. I was thinking that it was going to be good to ban them but it wasn't. So, it is a good decision that Google starts to let the ads again.
people who are deceived by scammer ads are those who are not vigilant and do not do enough research and want to get a return of money many times over from the capital spent. Google ads help crypto companies to be able to advertise their projects more widely. about the scammer it's just a problem that can be solved. Google won't let scammers easily publish ads. google knows what they have to do. so don't worry.

I have seen many scam sites being advertise on Google ads. One possible reason for this could be that google can't do screening all times throughly as many sites look legit generally.
Anyways this does not mean that google should disable Google ads for crypto completely. We also need to understand that sites which are being showed in Google ads, may not be fully trusted ones.
864  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to the coins after your death ? on: August 06, 2021, 11:10:11 AM
When it is my time to go my coins will go to my children.  This is set in stone in a Will that is prepared and modified every year.

This is crypto and not the bank where you can provide them the Will on whom the coins should be distributed in case of the onwer death. It's you who have to decide this in your life and share your keys with your near and dear ones. If you delayed, you may die and the coins never go to anyone and technically become useless.
865  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is cryptocurrency bad for the environment? on: August 06, 2021, 10:40:25 AM
Here we go again with the BS being spread by anti-bitcoin crowd, no bitcoin isn't bad for the environment, in any aspect of bitcoin, almost everything is just a consumer of electricity and not a producer of electricity. What we have to worry much more are the producers of this pollutants rather than the consumer because in a same sense we are also to blame as individuals since we also consume electricity.

I never heard of environmental problems related to crypto , until Elon Musk highlighted this.
I think it was not a realistic analysis as waste produce by factories and other things are way more than it is being produced by minning crypto currency. Crypto is not at all bad for the environment. It's just a fud being spread by Elon musk.
866  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it easier to HODL if you are already rich? on: August 06, 2021, 09:40:04 AM
One of those successful cases of bitcoin hodling was a friend of a friend. They (a couple) took an important risk by investing 60k of a dismissal compensation into bitcoin and making a x100 on it before selling half. I do not know what they did with the rest. Now, these people were not rich, they took an enormous risk compared to their total wealth. They had to really believe on the project and pass though some of bitcoins usual "tests of faith".

For someone with letīs say, a net worth of 1M USD or more plus house, hodling 60k until they became 6M would have been not that much of an stress. Do you think it was easier to benefit economically from bitcoin if you were already a bit up in the ladder?

The main problem is that people do not do money management when they are investing in crypto. Even a poor person can invest for long term provided his position is small according to his budget. I have seen rich people investing everything in crypto and then panic selling when they see thier port folio down.
Money management is a skill if implement correctly, your investments will be stress free.
867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: August 06, 2021, 08:48:08 AM
This fork was such a stupid idea that just made fees more than before, and it will not solve any problem on Ethereum.

But the bigger problem is that with the POS, which is a blockchain variant of banking deposits, ethereum will get more centralized and declared as a security in USA. And this means more regulations and even bans like the ICOs.
Can ETH get more centralized then it is now? Smiley Sure it can with switching to POS.

So you mean that fork was not a good idea ? Wouldn't they knew before what will be the impact on fee after this fork ?
I think over the passage of time, burning of eth on every tanscation will make it a scare asset and it will eventually increase in demand.
I would like to see if there is good signafinant impact on fee after few days of the fork.
868  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympics 2020/2021 : Discussion & Predictions on: August 06, 2021, 08:38:58 AM
Not a Russian myself, nor do I care about any specific Russian athlete, but accusing Russia of systematic doping and not pointing a finger at other countries' systematic doping is just ridiculous. I guess the difference is state manipulated systematic doping versus the state knowing about doping and turning a blind eye. Honestly, it's equally bad.

The point is, these were caught... the others weren't.

Yes it is true that there is doping in other countries, but either it has not been detected yet or what has been caught are individual athletes, without government support or knowledge of the countries' federations.

In the case of Russia, the problem was discovering that the federations were involved in the problem. In other words, it was not the individual athletes but the institutions representing them that were involved.

I am not sure if other athletes were given the benefit over the Russian athletes on doping case but whoever is involved in this should be punished regardless of the nationality. Cheating and using unfair means is a sin in sports but giving undue advantage to players of certain nation is even a bigger sin.
869  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taxes on gambling send the right message? on: August 06, 2021, 06:43:19 AM
Instead of focusing on the taxing the gamblers, why not first focus to tax the gambling houses. I think that gambling houses are making much more profit and it will be beneficial for the government to tax them. They could generate a lot more amount of money, if they put tax on gambling houses and physical casinos. Once this is implemented in true spirit, then we can think on how can we tax the individual gambler.
870  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Accumulating small odds or choosing one or two big odds on: August 06, 2021, 06:21:47 AM
Since gambling is risky, I usually prefer choosing big odds one at a time and I only allocate a certain budget for it so I won't get addicted. I also prefer doing it in my free time so I could focus on it. As for me, gambling is to be enjoyed and not a reason for us to feel stressed and depressed. Betting over and over again after continuous losing would only lead us to regrets.

You will only get big odds on teams which are weak and not favorite to win. This means that you will lose more often than winning in these bets. So if you are only betting on higher odds, you have to precisely manage your portfolio, else you can quickly lose all of your funds.
On the other hand, lower odds are more safer and you won't lose many bets.
871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sexy casinos on: August 06, 2021, 06:12:05 AM

And the fact that most gamblers are men  Roll Eyes Grin that certain explanation is valid, cause even you are losing but when dealers smile at you with bouncing boobs, oh well!  Tongue Wink

So if you lose at gambling, you have still something to cheer about. Although men like hot girls but when any gambler have lost the money, he wouldn't get attracted to such girls. These hot girls are only seems to be attractive if you're winning.
872  Other / Meta / Re: Animated Avatar on: August 01, 2021, 11:28:20 AM
I do not know if others see it as I am seeing it, that one alone beside the OP post is distracting me from reading, if many members are wearing animated avatar, it will be a distraction, some people still go by disabling avatar and signature, more people will because of this animation thing disable avatar and signature ads because it will be disturbing reading what others are posting, the animation will be appreaing annoying.

Good for you that now almost none of the members wear the animated avatar expect me.  Wink (as it distracts your reading )

Any idea how many of the forum members are still wearing the animated avatar or i am the only one left  ?
873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: August 01, 2021, 11:08:35 AM

there are many other decentralized project after bitcoin and eth but still eth is the second most popular and great coin ever invented in crypto history. and yes the whales always control the price of tha coin. but only if that they hold for long term and  when ever they want they just sell and bring the price down. competitors means contro lof that whales and its good

I believe that neither Bitcoin nor Ethereum are truly decentralized currencies. In my opinion, decentralization is a complete departure from fiat and Internet!

I think you need to have clear understanding of things first. Bitcoin and Ethereum are truly decentralized. Adoption of these currencies and eliminating Fiat is another thing which will happen over the time but this does not make bitcoin centralized.

Secondly, Internet is not going anywhere. If there would be no internet, how can you use the crypto currencies ?  Cool
874  Other / Meta / Animated Avatar on: August 01, 2021, 10:40:37 AM
I am wearing this avatar for a long time and it is an animated one. But for sometime now, animated avatar has been discontinued  and only static avatar can be worn.

Can i know the reason for this change because animated avatar looks more attractive and also it does not consume any extra data/network cost.
875  Other / Meta / Re: Is Bitcointalk.org losing user base? on: August 01, 2021, 10:28:36 AM
The fact that I am typing in a huge textbox is one of the reasons why the forum is not famous amongst youngsters. Also networks like reddit and telegram are good for chatting.  The icons on top are confusing and I haven't got used to them yet. I disagree with the notion that the rules are too strict and is the cause of the decline in new users. The rules is the only reason why the forum has order. Reedit, telegram and the other networks mention are easy target practice for scam.

Bitcointalk may not be famous amoung the youngsters but it is famous for everyone who is involved in bitcoin and crypto.

You need to understand that twitter , reddit, telegram are not made only for the bitcoin discussions. You can discuss anything there and there you find them more popular overall.

For bitcoin and crytpo related stuff, you will not find any place more popular than bitcointalk.
876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 01, 2021, 09:42:28 AM
ZVEREV from Germany won the Gold medal and beat the Russian KHACHAOV by 2-0 in today's Gold medal Match. That's he first ever win from Germany in the tennis in the Olympics. This is an historic win for Zverev and Germans.  Smiley
877  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: August 01, 2021, 06:38:18 AM
Pakistan once again surprised me big time against West Indies, i thought West Indies would easily chase the target of 157 runs but Pakistan had other plans and what a spell of bowling by Mohammad Hafeez just giving away 6 runs in his 4 overs in a T20  Shocked, that is some impressive bowling and a huge factor for the win as that spell put pressure on West Indies to score off other bowlers.

West Indies did not bat well as the target was not that difficult to achieve. Nicholas Pooran played well and at one moment i thought he will win the match for West Indies but they lost by only 7 runs. Hafeez gave only 6 runs in 4 overs and that saved pakistan.
878  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: July 31, 2021, 03:20:09 PM
Hi everyone!

Glad to see so many cricket bettors on the forum!

It's interesting to know where do you guys bet on cricket?
AFAIK, some years ago Directbet was the most reputable cryptobook for cricket betting. Sadly they decided to close...
Do somebody managed to find a good alternatives?

Sadly there is no exact alternative to directbet. That was the quickest and best platform for the cricketing bets. I still miss that platform. There are many others sites where you can bet but if you are looking for something similar to directbet, i am afraid there is none.
879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: busd or USDT safe on: July 31, 2021, 05:32:10 AM
Tether (USDT) and Binance USD (BUSD) Both coin are Stablecoin. thous coin price will not dump or Pump. So we can Trust and Store both coin when market conditions is ruin.
BUSD is regulated and audited. They ensure that every BUSD is backed 1:1 by a physical dollar stored in FDIC-insured US banks.
USDT is not audited and has had security breaches and lawsuits in the past. They don't guarantee a physical dollar backs every USDT and the money that does back it is stored in offshore banks.
So I would consider BUSD to be a safer stablecoin,

If that is the case, then why people not save their dollars in BUSD and keep them in USDT. Even though there are charges against USDT but why people still keeping the funds in USDT and not shifting to BUSD or USDC ?
880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is USDT Tether safe? on: July 30, 2021, 10:38:29 PM
I dont think that we should be worried for USDT, that is safe and for sure most of the investors are using USDT when they are just waiting to buy a certain cryptocurrency. USDT is the best when you want a stable coin or you are waiting for crypto to invest. USDT has also a lower transaction fee compared to other stable coon.

USDT Tether is safe and we should not believe in the fuds related to USDT. If anything wrong happen to USDT Tether, the entire crypto market will collapse and i am sure this will never happen.
I am hopeful that USDT Tether will clear their case very soon.
