8601  Economy / Lending / Re: Need Loan 0.2 BTC Payable after 7 days with 10% interest rate (No Collateral) on: July 22, 2014, 10:43:06 AM
0.2 BTC?

Thats the EXACT SAME AMOUNT tradefortress was looking for.

obvious alt is obvious
tradefortress? Who is he? Before you say something negative look at yourself first...

I'll loan you 0.1BTC if you give me your account info as collateral
I think 0.1 is not ok for a personal information.. and what if i tell you a Lie? and give false information?..
You can check my profile.. and i am also a trader in localbitcoin with 70+ confirmed trades.. I need the Coins just for today. if no one will lend me i'll close this thread.

Thank You

Just so anyone considering giving him the loan is aware, seandaniel has a concurrent has a loan with me. He requested for 0.4 btc, I loaned him 0.1 btc already, due July 28.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=701592.msg7940328#msg7940328

exactly...
Tradefortness is the legend who scammed 4100BTC. He isn't in any position to assume however, if he is going to accuse everyone of being a scammer just for trying to loan the same amount as the scammer. If you really desperately need a loan, consider the person who offered your account for 0.1 BTC but however, using escrow.
8602  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Miner fee on: July 22, 2014, 10:37:59 AM
As others had said, transaction fee is a fee to pay miners to include your transaction into the blockchain. But there are ways to send a free transaction. If you have enough bitcoin, something like 0.1 btc, you can leave them idle and accumulate maturity. Read about it on the wiki, I am still researching.
It also depends on the size. If the size is too big, you will have to still pay a miner fee, no matter how old your coin is.  The size is affected by the amount of inputs and/or outputs.
8603  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: any way to get a couple mBTC for free? on: July 22, 2014, 10:07:49 AM
Actually there are ways to make that small amount of btc from gambling sites, without investing anything since most gambling sites give free faucets and I have seen ppl make upto 0.1 from that.
That would take a lot of skills. In PD's happy hour, you can get 0.0001 per minute, if you continuously claim them and the varience doesn't change too much, you can get up to 0.003 or less per hour. It is hardly possible for people to make more than 0.01 from gambling faucets.

Ofcourse it takes a bit of skill but a lot of luck for the most part, but OP just wanted to some free btc and this is the best option I could think of, the only thing that will cost him in doing this is "time", if he can afford that. And I have my made 0.001 from faucet on luckynumber and pd many times, it just requires a bit of patience really.
You would really need a ton of patience, if you only get 1000-100 satoshis per minute, it is nearly impossible to make it into 0.001, a very very huge increase. The house edge can also make you lose.

Hope that this time i will finally receive payment doing this from third period but not on the list?

I have no idea why you use a exchange address for payout. Since you are not in control of the private key, you can lose your coin since they can run away with it.
8605  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Coins stolen from my wallet?!? on: July 22, 2014, 09:58:17 AM
No, I neither downloaded any file except the DOGE-Coin wallet nor opened anything in skype. It seems very strange to me too ...

Strange indeed. Legit OS copy or a pirated version? Those might have trojans, backdoors as well. You dont need to answer this, just consider it an option. Other possibilites I can think of are:
#1 infected machine in your LAN that used an undocumented exploit on your the unpatched OS (infected after/durring setup).
#2 infected infrastructure (e.g. your router) - this would also need some sort of vulnerability of your OS or local file sharing
#3 data leak (e.g. shared the data via dropbox with your colleges)
#4 someone had hardware access to your machine (made the TX from there/copied the wallet.dat/installed something)
#5 drive by infection
#6 you use(d) WinXP or older

The OS is a legit copy, but after a complete scan of the system the antivir found three threats:
#1 "Virus found: Win32/Zperm, C:\Windows\Temp\49f48af4-b402-4745-9e9c-26cfb8983c1f\tmp0000116d\tmp00006408";"Saved"
#2 "Trojan: PSW.OnlineGames4.ZUJ, D:\buddha.dll";"Saved"
#3 "Trojan: CoinMiner.ASJ, C:\Users\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\ZLLU0VPX\wmpnetwk[1].dll";"Saved"

I think we found the colprits, but again, it seems very strange to me how they could infect the system. Inever opened any suspicious software nor I am using IE as my browser. I am on Win7 using a brand new Cisco X3500 router and it is the only cmputer in my appartment, but I have learned my lesson: be paranoid as possible, but I doubt that BTC ever arrive to the "normal" users since it is that easy to get stolen and it is to complicated to be on a save side, e.g., using linux, live cds etc.

Are you sure you didn't visit some kind of website and got infected there? You probably used IE to download the other browser at first. During the process, you might have been infected. Also, did you use a security lock and a strong password on your router?

I request Stunna to lock this thread during 16-16 period to stop this constant spam. I hope a lot of people agree.
There aren't much spams. Most people want to ask questions about the campaigns and clarify things with the community. Posts actually help it to bump to the top of the service section, attracting people's attention to join. People most probably won't join a campaign which have locked thread as they May think it's closed.
8607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How safe is an Encrypted Bitcoin core wallet with a strong password? on: July 22, 2014, 09:49:27 AM
Not very if you have a key logger and hacker can some how retrieve your wallet.dat

It is safer than having an easy to guess password and obviously having no password would be like handing it on a platter.

I would do this (after you have finished with the client each time) Rename wallet.dat to something else, move it out of the normal directory (preferably off the PC). You would still be vulnerable to key logger and 1000 other scenarios, but if someone got access to your PC they might search/scan for wallet.dat and hopefully moves on when they can not find it.

And what to do if the keylogger searches for ".wat" in the start bar?

You can easily rename the file type to something else like .wkshw and rename it back to .dat when you needs it. They most probably won't spend time to search for a file type like this.
8608  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [PrimeDice] Track Your Earnings! on: July 22, 2014, 09:44:18 AM
I think, users will load this script maybe once a month to update, but I really am not sure.
When/how often would you use this script? is speed important for you?
Kprawn suggested such data may be most useful for sigcampaign owners, he may be right.

As for the interface I've thought of a lot of things.. graph, charts, excel, tables.
What do you prefer?

For example on representation is :
http://talkera.org.cp-in-1.webhostbox.net/pd/table2.php?uid=211899

It's a little slow to load, I could speed it up, but depends on how many people are interested  Smiley

1) Not really once a month, for me, it would be everyday. I would like to check if I have been hitting my target number of post per day.
2) Speed would be a priority but definitely not more important than reliability and uptime.
3) I doubt signature campaign owners would rely on a third party source of information. Also, those are unable to count constructive posts accurately.
8609  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Investing in cloud? Worth it? Which site to pick? on: July 22, 2014, 09:32:59 AM

PBmining for me seems like a great site and no matter how much hashing power you get you will make a profit. For example if you buy less hashing power it will cost you less but in return you will receive less ever week where as if you buy more hashing power you will get a bigger payout every week. Therefore no matter how much hashing power you buy you will break even in about 120 days on PBmining using a profit calculator. (result may vary) I use PBmining and have been paid on time ever week so to me i find this site reliable. If you would like to sign up please do it under me.
there are so many people doubt pbmining operation is real
they paid every week, doesn't mean they are legit
check here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=484355.0

I have heard some funny things about pbmining too.  The thing about PB and if you just do the math you can see they can't possibly be doing what they're doing unless something funny is going on.  On the other hand, if you see my sig, they're an entity that is upfront and honest that your contract CAN'T last forever as it won't be profitable for you, and they give you the fees etc. so you can figure out if it's worth it right away.
Signature campaigns doesn't actually mean anything even if they pay upfront. There are sites that were closed and signature campaigns who pay upfront scammed people. It only cost the operator around less than 1BTC. They could have easily scammed more than one BTC, not saying they scam but you can't judge trust just by them paying their signature campaign upfront.
8610  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Miner fee on: July 22, 2014, 09:26:58 AM
Hi,

I am new to bitcoin world

I never understand why we pay miner fee.

Are you talking about pool fee?
Probably not. He said about paying miner fee. He can choose a 0% fee pool if he wants. But miners fee per transaction is almost needed for most transactions.

Pay address for this sig campaign: 1FTTdSKEwAgNwqPCU5iLBGUDAyLyMffUyt

So 2 questions I had. I filled out the form for enrollment only, clicked next, and it took me to the payment claim page before I can submit. I'm assuming this is a glitch? Second, I choose not to add a wallet address to my profile, but instead posted it here. I'd like to still get paid without adding one to my official profile, is that possible?

I think you should be fine on the enrollment.   As for the bitcoin address, Stunna made it mandatory that you put it in your profile, I think he said it was because there were too many PMs, and I don't think he always scrolls through all these pages of posts
This is to verify that you are the actual owner of the account. When claiming payments, if no address is stated on he profile, he would not know if he is sending to the correct address. Someone could have easily faked the person and claim payments.

Well, electricity is a little bit cheaper here in venezuela, with the bitcoin i would be producing it wouldnt be such of a problem.. (did i tell you that dollar is on sky prices over here?) And a last question, what cryptocurrency would be better on my computer? or they all have the same requirements? (i know some vary depending on your GPU)
Considering your GPU is not even a GTX type, you would not have much profit. Try mining X11/X13 for a little bit of coins. The payouts will still be very low since their prices isn't high and your GPU isn't fast. Your GPU lifespan would likely to be shortened.
8613  Economy / Services / Re: ★☆★ 777Coin Signature & Personal MSG Campaign ★☆★ Newb,jr,mem Ref Bonus 10%! on: July 21, 2014, 03:12:33 PM
When will next payment processed ?
Last payment was on 18 July so hope we have next in next 2 or 3 days
I think I read somewhere that this campaign has weekly payment, so next one will be in 25 July.
OP stated it can take up to 10days, therefore, 28 July max. This isn't considered as weekly though, if OP pays on every 10days.

I have an AMD card, pretty modern but pretty useless nowadays. the mining dream is over  Cry

doesnt have to be, did u explore x11,x13 and other alternative algo's ?
I am not saying that you will ever see the kind of profits you had in dec-feb , but it still makes a positive earnings.

If you dont currently own gpu farm tho, its a better idea not to build one now, im just saying that owners of gpu farms still can squeeze some juice out of gpus, before selling them.

Cheers
Since bitcoin and scrypt GPU mining is over, people would switch to alt coins with other algorithm, it is possible for the difficulty to rise very fast. Those who use GPU to mine Bitcoin switched to Scrypt and most probably would switch to ASIC resistant ones, the difficulty would increase, making you less profits.

hello stunna

can you update the enrollment list for this month im really intrested in seeing it!
I think it would take a few weeks intervals for him to update. It isn't worth it to update every few days just to key in some newly enrolled members. If they filled the form correctly, they are in.
8617  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Coins stolen from my wallet?!? on: July 21, 2014, 12:23:05 PM
Hi guys,

I used bitcoin-qt as my bitcoin wallet and I forgot to setup a password Sad

So today I checked my wallet and a very small amount of bitcoins were stolen:

https://blockchain.info/de/address/1CPEdjFu6TaZpPFGQ81zHaW7prtJ1pk8LV

Is there any chance I get these BTC back? Or do I have to pay to learn the lesson?

After that, I moved to multibit and saved it on several USB-Sticks with a strong password using KeyPass obfuscating. Is there anything else I have to take care of?

Thx for your help!

Regards
Mix it and send to a complete different address stored on a USB stick. There is no way you will get your money back unless the thief sends it back for some reason.
Mixing it doesn't improve the security, mixing only increase the privacy. OP, I suggest you to create a cold storage paper wallet using a offline linux computer and bitaddress.org.
8618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins will match Bitcoin in price (1:1) in a few years? on: July 21, 2014, 12:15:13 PM
Bitcoin does have some stable backings. Most of the merchants only accept Bitcoins but not alt coins. Alt coin's price are too unstable, they can crash any moment. I believe most people understand Bitcoin better than any other alt coin.
8619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is My Rig good for Mining? on: July 21, 2014, 12:11:56 PM
GPU is long gone from the mining game. Furthermore, Nvidia GPUs are less efficient than AMD GPUs. If you want to experience mining, try to get some AMD GPU and mine ASIC resistant Alt coins, no guarantees you can make a profit.
8620  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Miner fee on: July 21, 2014, 12:08:44 PM
After 140 years, the mining rewards for each block reward would be very very small. Since the reward is so small, there is no point for any miners to mine for the network. If no one mines, no transaction would be confirmed. To prevent this unlikely case of happening, fees are paid so miners can at least have more than the small block reward, encouraging miners to mine.
