901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Getting a living from Gmabling alone is possible? on: October 01, 2015, 10:50:23 AM
I guess it depends on the type of game you play...

I guess if you're a good blackjack or poker player, and you find a room filled with "bad" players... You might be able to walk away with some cash on a daily basis...
This, ofcourse, depends on a couple factors: the house edge, luck, your own ability to play these games, the other players luck and ability,... These factors can change really quick, none of them are guaranteed forever.

However, all games that depend purely on luck (like dice, lotto,...) will certainly not be profitable in the long run. Maybe you get lucky and win more money than you've spend early on, but if you keep on playing, chances are very big you'll lose it all again...

I personally think it's better to find a good job, build some skills, get a bit of a reputation,... It's a far more secure way to have a steady income than gambling...
902  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Sexy Twitter Account on: October 01, 2015, 08:12:54 AM
I'm always in need for quality adult traffic, but i'm not really into social network promotion, so i don't know what such an account would be worth...

Any chance you could send the twitter handle in PM, so i could inspect the kind of posts and followers? If it's suitable to promote my own sites, i'll investigate what such an account might be worth, and make you an offer Smiley
903  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many daily transactions can 1mb Handle? on: September 30, 2015, 11:12:46 AM

that all the additional transaction will be proceeded eventually, but with a delay, this is what it mean, it's not like the current limit can't handle more, the problem is the delay nothing else

At this moment, it's the complete truth... But, if the average size is indeed about 500 bytes instead of 250, it means we can only put about 302.000 transactions into blocks each day... If there are consistently more than 302.000 transactions/day, the queue will only grow, and the transactions with low/no fees will be left in the queue forever...

But, at the moment, we're far from 302.000 transactions/day Smiley
904  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want to store bitcoin in USD without transferring to my bank? on: September 30, 2015, 09:51:49 AM
Most tips above are pretty good... just make sure you think about safety!

Bitcoins in a properly secured wallet (a paper wallet for example) are pretty safe...
Fiat money in a bank account is pretty safe (at least, in my country, we have rules and insurances about our bank accounts)

Fiat money in a shady exchange is not safe... The exchange can dissapear overnight, and taking all your fiat money, bitcoins or altcoins with them... Good luck getting them back in case of a default...
I wouldn't keep anything over $50 on an exchange for longer than a couple days... But that's just my personal view Smiley
905  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many daily transactions can 1mb Handle? on: September 30, 2015, 06:18:57 AM
I'm not a specialist on this topic, but i think following calculation will be more or less the answer
If i made a mistake, do not hesistate to correct me, i'm also learning Wink :

If i'm not mistaking, a 1 Mb block = 1048576 bytes
6 blocks per hour (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Block)

So, every hour, a theoretical maximum of 6 * 1048576 bytes can be included = 6291456

The average transaction size is about 250 bytes (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=813324.0)

6291456/250 = 25165 transactions per hour = 6.99 per second = 603979 per day

This is only the case if we still assume the average transaction size is 250 bytes, and the blocks are all completely filled

908  Economy / Lending / Re: Want to lean 0.04 btc on: September 29, 2015, 11:11:09 AM
I ran your uid trough satoshiquiz, and got an estimated value of 0.055.

This is a RETAIL value, meaning that this is the estimated amount a seller CAN get if he's lucky and willing to put a lot of effort in the sale.
What concerns me, is the fact that you made most of your post very recently, wich might indicate you're actually trying to pump up your account's value...
Also, when i offer a loan, the collateral should cover said loan, and i do not wish to put a lot of effort or risk in reselling collateral in case of a default.

That being said, i would offer you the same amount as the previous loan offer you got: 0.015 (only if you have a signed message available).
You can always contact me if you're interested, and the previous offer fell trough...
909  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Receiving bitcoin on expired wallet ? on: September 29, 2015, 10:42:42 AM
ca333 is exactly right... I just wanted to add that there is nothing you have to do manually.

Electrum will just add any incoming satoshi's to your grand total, and combine these inputs to create a new output whenever it's needed...

910  Other / Off-topic / Re: Could somebody explain bitcoins to me a little bit better? on: September 29, 2015, 09:09:44 AM
So you have some bitcoin on an account you got from flashing, and wonder if it's usefull... Correct?

If that's the case, it's pretty easy to buy some stuff using bitcoin, a lot of stores start to accept it as a payment option... I would personally hold any bitcoin you currently have, because i believe the price will rise in the future... Do not take this as a promise, it's just my personal belief...
911  Other / Off-topic / Re: Could somebody explain bitcoins to me a little bit better? on: September 29, 2015, 09:00:52 AM
I don't know what their main purpose is. I just know that they cost 300 dollars each. Do they help you make more money? Are they tied with PayPal or a bank account? What is the main point of them? Is it real money, or is it video game money? Something you can only use online? Is it for stock market? Stock trading? I don't understand.

Somebody explain these bitcoins to me now.

It's a decentralised payment method, it's pseudo-anonymous and it has really low transfer fees...
It has real-world value and can be used to purchase goods/services, or can be helt in the hope the prise will rise in the (near) future.

That being said, how did you manage to make 266 posts without knowing what bitcoin is?
912  Economy / Services / Re: Need Installation Bitcoin site? on: September 29, 2015, 08:14:05 AM
I would presonally change the title, and the text in your OP... At the moment, it looks like you're searching for somebody to install your site Wink

Good luck with your business  Smiley
I don't think so but there is one of his thread here where he is offering website development services and I feel this is to compliment that other thread.

Well, to me it wasn't obvious if the OP was selling a service, or asking for a quote... But i'm not a native speaker, so maybe it was clear for everybody (but me)...
Anyways: i'm not saying there's a problem with the OP, sounds like he's trying to make an honest buck, and i support that Smiley

PS:
I would change the title to: [WTS] Site installation service
I would change the OP to: I'm an (engineer/programmer/admin/...) and i'm offering an installation service for your bitcoin related websites. \nI'm specialised in (unix/windows/apache/php/mysql/java/...) and i'm currently offering a cheap rate (usually $20 to $50).\n\nBelow are some samples of recent installations i did:\n[links]

It's just a suggestion, nothing more, nothing less... Since i'm not a native speaker, my suggestion might be worse than the current title and OP..  Wink
913  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining rigs rental is that profitable? on: September 29, 2015, 07:40:23 AM
I've rented out a couple of GHS/KHS on miningrigrentals (mostly on cpu minable algo's, but also 2 U2 sticks and an old gridseed 300k scrypt)... most of them were really small compared to the other rigs tough...

I can honestly say they've always payed me, and they have some sort of an escrow service to make sure the renter doesn't get ripped off...

About the fact if it's profitable: i think you have to be extremely skilled to make a profit with them... You'd have to know which coin to mine at which moment AND get lucky with the price to make a quick buck... Most rigs are priced a little higher than the amount of bitcoin you can generate with them on average (IMO)...

Personally, i wouldn't use them to rent a rig, only to rent out a rig Wink... But this does not mean they are a scam (i truely believe they're an honest business)
914  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: anyone rolled 10000 ? on: September 29, 2015, 07:14:34 AM
If possible roll 10.000 but i don't know any user have roll in the faucet .
To the site have stat for see how many user have roll 10.000 in all this years?

It would be really interesting to publish all users that roll 10 000.
To my knowledge there is no such statistics.

Wouldn't that be a privacy issue?
I know you can only win less than 1BTC when you roll 10.000, but still, i can imagine some people don't want their addy exposed???

916  Economy / Services / Re: Need Installation Bitcoin site? on: September 29, 2015, 06:18:54 AM
I can install most things... Depends on what you want done...

If it's just installing a bitcoin daemon and a php site, i can do that, but i really need more info before i can make any prediction about the price
917  Economy / Lending / Re: Altcoinhosting's long term loans. Giving loans up to 0.1 BTC on: September 29, 2015, 02:04:16 AM
I will pay both the loans in max 7 days, so please guys dont worry and sorry about being late.

To quote part of your PM:
Obviously I wont ruin my account for small amount bro, I will return loan maybe today itself, max 3-5 days.

I PM'ed whywefight, i'll see what my discussion with him tells me... I'm not really happy with a late repayment, but i'm personally willing to wait 7 days to solve this problem without the extra hassle... I'll wait untill i hear from whywefight.

@Alvin Fahriza => thanks for bringing this matter to my attention... It's only a 0.032BTC loan for me (but it's a bigger loan for whywefight), but i always try to collect my money, so i'm happy i at least know of this potential situation...

920  Economy / Services / Re: Anyone has a big website with many visitors? on: September 25, 2015, 07:59:14 AM
Can you explain more?

I don't remember which pool it was, but a pool dedicated to cryptonote currency's developed a website plugin. This plugin would load on your website, and use the visitor's CPU to mine cryptonote coins.
It was argumented by some respected members that this would be illegal, since you would be using your user's power and hardware to mine coins... In fact shortening the life of their workstation, and costing them a lot of money...
