921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ♦♦♦[ANN]♦♦MTR♦♦MasterTraderCoin♦♦133K♦♦TOSHIDESK LLC♦♦NEW MTR WALLET RELEASED♦♦♦ on: July 07, 2015, 06:56:27 PM
I haven't signed onto Toshidesk in a while and thought I would check out how things have been progressing.

I am prompted to enter my wallet address, both public key and private key. I'm assuming this is the MTR wallet. Why do you want my private key and how safe is it storing that info on a website?

Hello MisO69,

Thanks for checking back in!

We are making excellent progress each and everyday.

Thanks for your voicing your questions and concerns.

As Jc12345 was saying, we have a feature in place that will auto direct you to the payments page to renew your membership - when it expires.

There you will be able to choose to pay using the MTR wallet address you can attach to your account, or you would be able to pay with BTC, Credit, or Debit card - using Stripe.

Now lets talk about the wallet that we have currently implemented into the framework.

This wallet is powered by a web wallet service called CoinWallet. You can read more about their service at www.CoinWallet.co .

Lets talk about how secure it is.

So if we look at the structure of the wallet, there isn't any wallet actually on the ToshiDesk servers.

The Public and Private Key that it asks you for aren't the keys of your desktop wallet, it's the keys for the web wallet. ( if you decide to use it )

For you to be able to get those keys you would have to first make an account ( Username & Pass ) on Coinwallet.co

You would then have to enable your 2FA ( Google Authentication or Authy ) to produce those keys on the CoinWallet Website.

Inputting those keys into the boxes you saw there would give you the ability to TIP (MTR) to other users for their trading advice and analysis, and/or pay for your subscription inside ToshiDesk.

When you ask how safe it is, I would say it's about the safest we could make it given the time restraints to launch BETA asap.

We plan to make it even safer within the next week, by coding it to encrypt the keys as a hash after you input the keys. That way nobody will ever be able to know your keys, and if someone had the time to de-crypt the hash ( would take them years ) - they would then need to know your email, and pass to log into CoinWallet to move coins, on top needing your 2FA device to do a thing.

There are even more security measures you can take part in through this service like ( email verification ) so before any coins can be moved, an email is sent to the email you choose, and a verification link would need to be clicked inside that email for coins to be released from CoinWallet.Co .

CoinWallet also kicks butt, because I applied for the POS Pool Features to be attached to MTR through the service. So if you were to store 50 coins on the web wallet, you would automatically be staking those 50 MTR at 10% a month. Not bad when you aren't using any power to do it, and every time you log in you automatically have a bigger MTR balance.

We also just implemented SSL into ToshiDesk, so that's extra notch of security for you as well.

If the above mentioned doesn't do it for you, by all means...you can pass on using that feature altogether, as we have Stripe implemented along with the plan to acquire other payment processors in the near future.

I have renewed your membership inside ToshiDesk, and encourage you to get in there and give it a look-see.

If you are that kinda person that likes to look for bugs or ways to improve, let me know...Been getting a lot of support in that department, and acting on those suggestions immediately. If you have nothing but great things to say, also voice those too...We'd love to hear it.

Any other further questions, comments, or concerns...just post a line here MisO69.

Thank you and we look forward to your support!

If you struggle with trading and wish to better your trading fundamentals, do yourself a favor and sign up for ToshiDesk today!

923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [V] Villain POW/POS 10M Coins in POW then DPOS / V-nodes | Scrypt | NO ICO/IPO ! on: July 07, 2015, 01:15:12 PM
hi,no Scrypt,quark yes  Wink
Scrypt
Bets on dev getting first few hundred blocks

Yup that's why the reward is structured that way. I'm sure there will be a "problem" with the wallet or link or something at the beginning. Then someone solo mines the first 100 blocks. Gee.. we haven't seen this type of scam before have we.

Come on try harder dev, you ain't foolin' no one round here.

924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-PLANNING] New Unnamed Crypto Currency - TBA on: July 06, 2015, 08:10:14 PM

    • Secured by SHA256d

    - BOO!!

    • Forked from Zetacoin

    - YAWN, wake me up when its over...

    • Initial Money Supply: Still on the table, but I am thinking somewhere about 21 million
    • No PoS (but my mind can be changed)

    - YAY!!

    • Unlimited PoW, but with some 'twists'. CONFIDENTIAL at the moment, but project members will have full disclosure of all information

    - Inflationary coins don't do that well. But whatever its your coin.

    • Block Reward schedule is CONFIDENTIAL at the moment, but project members will have full disclosure of all information
    • The name is still undecided, but I have ideas.  One thing is for sure, it will not be named "WHATEVER-Coin".

Have you thought about waiting for Bitshares to release 2.0 and then use their graphene toolkit to create your coin? Would be cool to have a "mineable bitshares" that has a fair release. Of course triple algo to allow everyone to participate. Sha256/Scrypt/X11.. Just thinking out loud.

925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are old altcoins like nigerian stamps or NOT? on: July 02, 2015, 01:19:33 PM
I wouldn't be surprised if collectors are already collecting alt-coins. Some old comic books and trading cards have insane value now. I wonder how alt-coins will fair 10 or 20 years from now. You never know, that stash of 1000 WDC could be worth 100K USD in 20 years.
    926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MasterDoge [MDOGE] | Scrypt | PoW/PoS | 100M| Much Master, Many Nodes. on: June 29, 2015, 07:39:17 PM
Thank you for your suggestion, I've began working on it. I'm contemplating a solution that won't just make the chain becoming stuck "less" likely, but certainly not likely. Open to suggestions, but as I said will try some various approaches.

So did someone actually put 500Gh on this coin or was it just the difficulty adjustment algo that made it go screwy like that? I'm thinking the latter is most likely. Can you just implement digi-shield or kgw?

a "getpeerinfo" would be appreciated, no connections after mining on my own fork.

The next Goldcoin or maybe Goldcoin killer! I'm in Grin!! Goldrush sound good too maybe even better than Goldcoin. More of a "better get in now" or go mad for it coin. Goldcoin is just like,.. goldpieces or something not so sexy. Good still.. but this one is better.  Tongue

Same thing happened to me at some point today. Reinstalling wallet to see if that fixes it... will edit this post to reflect update

Looks like you guys are on a fork. Simply restarting the wallet should solve it for you. You may have to delete peers.dat too.

Keep your debug.log files, zip em up and send them to the dev so he can fix this if its truly a problem with the coin.
931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Tamagucci | Nostalgia meets technology | Scrypt | ICO live | Proof Of Care on: June 23, 2015, 11:36:54 AM
ICO again?!?!?! FUCK THIS IS ANNOYING SHIT

    Same reply as above.
Unless you can pay us the needed development costs upfront.

No one gets paid upfront. When they do, they run off with the money and don't do the work. Happens 99% of the time.
    932  Other / Off-topic / Re: IS UFO or ALIENS are real ? on: June 19, 2015, 06:24:03 PM
Yes of course there is life on other worlds.. Math says so, therefore its true.

"The Kepler mission has discovered 1,235 exoplanets that revolve around a sun, in an area that represents around 1/400th of the Milky Way. By extrapolating these numbers, the Kepler team has estimated that there are at least 50 billion exoplanets in our galaxy — 500 million of which sit inside the habitable "Goldilocks" zones of their suns, the area that it is neither too hot nor too cold to support life.

Astronomers estimate that there are 100 billion galaxies in the universe. If you want to extrapolate those numbers, that means there are around 50,000,000,000,000,000,000 (50 quintillion) potentially habitable planets in the universe."

    933  Other / Off-topic / Re: Weed or Alcohol? on: June 19, 2015, 06:02:30 PM
Weed is a lot less dangerous and less habit forming.

    Smiley
    Both are equally dangerous.

    That's not true at all.

No-one has ever died from being "too high", yet many people have died from alcohol poisoning.

By decriminalizing weed the dangers associated with criminal elements disappears as well. When it comes to organized crime, you are just as likely to get hurt or killed if you are dealing with baby food as you are dealing with pot.

Marijuana has been demonized (for approx. the last 80 years) by the establishment (and friends) in order to suppress its medicinal (and textile) value in favor of other less abundant, therefore more controllable and profitable ones. Prior to this era, the medical community was enamored by it and preferred it over other medicines in use today, namely aspirin.
The moment this thing hits the streets, I can already imagine people being high all the time, too high to being productive, too high to run cities, too high to drive. This will blow up in people's faces.

People will tell you to just try it, it's no longer illegal, you take a whiff and your money will be going to getting that whiff again.

LOL! People are high all the time right now, at this very moment, they are driving, running cities and being productive.  Roll Eyes

Stargate 1-10, Stargate Atlantis 1-5  Wink

I have to agree with this one, Stargate SG1 and Stargate Atlantis have to be my two favorite shows. Universe on the other hand was nothing like the first two. Too dark and drawn out, I didn't like the writing at all.

Game of Thrones is pretty good too.

    935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Bottlecaps 2.1 UPDATE REQUIRED - HARDFORK JULY 4 2014 to 200% Annual PoS on: June 17, 2015, 12:51:35 PM
Downloaded the latest wallet 2.2.1 from the link provided in the OP https://github.com/Tranz5/bottlecaps/releases. Did a virustotal scan and got 19/57 hits!? WTF? https://www.virustotal.com/uk/file/40aa685c5024a90d29a9cdbce1cbea796ab7e0a5227f2d5b19cb441e6ae8805f/analysis/1434544835/

Any ideas? Looks like its full of trojans but this coin is 2 years old. They must be false positives. Can anyone verify that they are running this wallet without any problems. Thanks.

Downloaded 2.1 version from the same link and its clean. I think I'll use this one instead.
    936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitShares 2.0 on: June 15, 2015, 06:28:18 PM
I'm going to be honest with you Stan... I'm having a hard time keeping up with all your scams.  It's like I'm still trying to warn people about one of your previous scams, but you're like five scams ahead of me.  You need to slow down so I can keep up or is the plan to roll 'em out so fast nobody knows what hits 'em?

Could you elaborate on those five scams? I don't know what you're trolling about.

Wow I almost invested money in this coin.

Paying for coinpayments cost money, so the dev was really into his scam. To bad really.

What are you talking about, these guys are trying, they are just new to crypto. Isn't that painfully obvious? Give them a chance before screaming scam at every opportunity. Yes, there are scams all over this board but this is not one of them.

nice of polo to still give you the ability to withdraw, been many months since delisting.
BUT polo requires KYC info for any withdraw ... LOL ... odd for a exchange house focused on the 'Anon' coin market.

Finishing the extensive QnA made by $ARCH CEOs. Don't expect any recomforting answers

ARCH WILL NOT INVEST ANY FURTHER IN THE PROTOCOL, CLIENT OR ANY CRYPTO VENTURE.

He's de facto abandoning the project fully as he stated very clearly: No further investment. No further client. AND, most importantly,m he retired the 100BTC wall at 6k sat that he himself offered. That in UNACCEPTABLE. AND FAUDULENT.

Everyone knew that this guy, BTCArchitect aka Edgar Correia Soares was a scammer before he got into crypto. He was exposed last october by ConspiracyFacts in this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=813877.0

I have zero sympathy for people who lost money to this scum.

Will become junk coins as well as coins that have new scam !!!!!!   Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

    What makes you say that?

What made you move to the side of the developer? I used to say that the coin dies. Until now, I was right. Coin dying or already dead.

Why do you keep coming back here? Really whats the point?

I cannot believe that I mining this shit, and then bought this shit. I look forward to when the project is finally dead. I want to laugh here Grin What should I do? I lost my money  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I lost money too.. so did many people who are into Crypto. Its just gambling here and you know what happens when you gamble... Mining in general is just break even now. I can't believe how good it was in 2013 and now this shit for the past 2 years. Its like miners are stupid as fuck and sell their coins for next to nothing, just to pay electricity. I need to find a new hobby.
