922  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any way to display my total bitcoin balance over multiple electrum wallets? on: June 11, 2023, 08:11:57 PM
I was just wondering if there was a safe way to display my total bitcoin balance easily in one total.

Some methods have already been mentioned by others, for example, importing multiple addresses into one Electrum wallet, in watch-only mode.

Another option is to use crypto portfolio tracking apps, such as Delta App, CoinStats, CoinTracking, Blockfolio, Coinigy, etc. These apps allow you to manage and track your cryptocurrency holdings across various wallets and exchanges. You can import your wallet addresses, master public keys or connect directly to supported exchanges to automatically sync your transactions and balances. They provide real-time price updates, portfolio performance analysis, and even customizable alerts to keep you informed about market movements.

Be careful, though, as there have been reports suggesting that some apps might collect and share user data with blockchain analytics companies. I would not use these apps if anonymity is of utmost importance to me.

What da hell is wrong with these users. Is one copying from another or are both copying randomly from Internet. I guess the later paraphrased the later former.

It is hard to tell if one user copied from the other or if they both independently used an AI tool to come up with similar content. But chances are, they both most likely used ChatGPT or a similar AI tool to generate their content. That definitely looks like a classic ChatGPT response! It has that distinct "AI-generated" vibe that is hard to miss.

I was confused if electrum wallet is an exchange or a custodial wallet, therefore i need a good direction, clarification and update of suitable wallet from senior colleagues.

Electrum is a non-custodial wallet for storing and managing cryptocurrencies, specifically Bitcoin. It is not an exchange platform, nor does it function as a custodial wallet. Don't make things up. Electrum gives users with full control over their private keys.

You can simply visit their official website, electrum.org, and find all the information you need right there.
925  Other / Meta / Re: Why is this system not set up for the Bitcointalk forum? on: June 10, 2023, 09:38:48 PM

Is there any secret behind it?

When people lose access to their accounts (because they got hacked), it is not uncommon for them to also lose access to their email accounts. Unfortunately, it is hard to provide protection to individuals who neglect or remain ignorant about securing their online accounts. Sometimes, it boils down to poor security practices.

I really like that this forum doesn't even ask for a working email address. It is great for maintaining online privacy and keeping things anonymous, which is something many people in this community really want.
926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Launch of crypto-token, search for an investor partner on: June 10, 2023, 09:17:19 PM
About lost access. I registered an account with my old email, in 2016 the email was hacked, I went to Google and it was blocked. Created a new email and used it. When I wanted to restore the account, need the email, and the email had already been deleted by google. I even got githab gave me the nft of a verified developer, so if they hadn't deleted my email, I think I would have figured out how to restore it)))) ahahah
So, to summarize, you are not exactly an expert in IT and online security (since you cannot even keep your personal accounts secure). I am really curious, though, how good are you as a developer?
By the way, what is the username or UID of the account you had on the forum? Just to confirm that you are telling the truth here.
I think that's the problem, nobody can "guarantee" anything, they claim that it will be good but how would we know, there is no way of knowing what's going to happen so we just make guesses and that's why it's not going to work. I could say the same thing, if you gave me thousands of dollars, I could build a project, building a project is the easy part I can actually do that, hell I can do that part for free, there is nothing that costs money, maybe a maximum of 100 dollars  at most.

However when we are talking about marketing part and getting people to actually trust it, then it is going to be a different situation and I do not think that it will be that simple. I feel like it should be a bigger deal and it should be easier to say that it will fail at that part.

Take everything the OP says in this thread with a huge grain of salt because he has not shown a single ounce of proof for his wild claims. Seriously, his excuse about losing access to his account is so sketchy and full of holes. It is obvious he was just trying to scam some gullible investor, but luckily, no one is falling for it. And now, out of desperation, when he realized his scheme was going down the drain, he quickly switched gears and now conveniently claim to have found a partner. Yeah, right! Like anyone's buying that load of nonsense.

OP, you have summed it up beautifully, and your observations are spot on. Taking the time to read and understand others' posts, and then contributing with well-structured sentences makes our communication clearer and more effective. It is like a universal rule for online communities. Whether it is Bitcointalk, or any other online community for that matter, the basics of reading, contributing, and making ourselves understood are the key principles everywhere!

But do not forget about the fun factor! Sure, we are here to learn, share knowledge, and achieve our goals, but that does not mean we cannot have a good time while doing it! After all, life is too short not to enjoy the journey, especially when we are on this crazy ride together.  Cheesy

Hi Fluder again you)))) with the mail buddy that was 7 years ago, I was working not by specialty and I did not care about the mail, no backup mail, authentication, then I did not need it))))
Account data, I regretfully do not remember, I told you that did not sit on the forum, and if I went in just to read the information I needed, and read the forum can be without registration.

It is quite interesting that you are resorting to baseless accusations and deflecting from the issue at hand. Instead of engaging in productive discussion and addressing specific questions, you seem more focused on casting doubt and avoiding meaningful conversation.

About the demonstration, githab, site, I tell you for the 3rd time, write to me personally and all you will tell and show.

I thought I was already talking to you in person. You think I should contact you privately instead? Nah, I like this public chat. No need for DMs, my friend. Whatever you have to say, let us keep it out in the open for everyone's sake. It will be way more efficient that way.

So, let us get back to the questions. You mentioned that you lost access to this forum because you forgot your password? And then, to make matters worse, someone supposedly hacked your email account, making it impossible for you to recover your account. But, now you cannot even remember the username you used? That is quite a puzzling situation. Did you suffer some form of amnesia or something?

And yet, you presented no factual information yourself. It seems that all we have here is "empty chatter".  Cheesy
931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Launch of crypto-token, search for an investor partner on: June 09, 2023, 08:00:09 PM
In past projects I was a guest collaborator, so I'm not at liberty to talk about these projects directly, it was my contractual obligation. I can say that these were cryptotokens related to memes, ecology, artificial intelligence. I also took part in the development of a crypto game distributed in Brazil and also there was a web3 project for a cell phone application.

Oh, I see. Guest collaborator on multiple projects? Conveniently bound by contractual obligations that prevent you from providing any specific details. Well, I hope you understand why people find it hard to fully trust your claims. It is not personal, just a common reaction when transparency and tangible proof are missing. So, it would have been nice to see some concrete evidence or examples of your contributions if you want to build trust and convince others of your abilities.

Many people write and think if the account is new, I do not have professionalism in the crypto sphere, but it is not so. I am sure that I am more competent than 95% of users of this forum. I am constantly studying and learning new things in cryptosphere, attend various crypto events, and most importantly I have practical experience as a developer in projects. So I am happy to answer your questions and critics and confirm my professionalism.

I must say, that is quite a bold statement to make without any substantial evidence to support it. It would be interesting to know more about those projects and the depth of your expertise. Without concrete examples, it is difficult to validate your professionalism. Let us assume I make the decision to invest $1000 to get started in your project. Would that be possible, or is the minimum requirement set at $7.5k? However, how can I be certain that you are capable of delivering what you claim? Do you have any tangible evidence or demonstrations to showcase? Do you have a website, portfolio, github... Anything?
934  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: IS ATOMIC WALLET HACK OR SCAM? 🔴 Immediately Withdraw your Funds on: June 08, 2023, 10:44:18 PM
~
This is not a good situation for the crypto community.

Why? You know, Atomic Wallet is actually closed-source software, which can make a big difference. And as far as I know, I have never really heard anyone in the Bitcoin community ever recommended Atomic Wallet (or similar closed-source crap) as a reliable choice for a wallet. I mean, if one of those crappy wallets gets hacked, why should it matter to the community at large? It is a problem for those who are affected and for the company behind the wallet, but it is their problem. I understand that it may sound insensitive, but it can be difficult to empathize with someone who reportedly had tens of millions of dollars worth of crypto and did not prioritize the security of their funds

I am fully confident in myself because I used to work with it and trust myself completely. Thanks for the criticism, but dude don't advertise the casino is so low.

Oh, and here we have a brilliant specimen of a developer who cannot even regain access to his own forum account! LOL!

So you are saying you have miraculously managed to gather a whopping 30,000 bucks for your project, and now you are begging for a mere 7,500? Well, color me intrigued. Pray tell, how do you plan on substantiating this claim? I mean, why bother with all the hassle when you can simply waltz into the nearest bank and charm those bankers into granting you a loan? I am sure your unwavering confidence will work wonders. And what kind of idiot developer can't even recover his forum account? LOL!

Btw, in case it slipped past your radar, let me point out that many of us here engage in shameless promotion through our signatures. Now, what exactly is your point?

earlier in 2022 I've launched several projects

Just out of curiosity, what happened to those projects?

now in the season of altcoins and memcoin boom the launch of new tokens is relevant again)).

Actually, it is not!

The amount of investment needed is $7500. Implementation period of 1 week. Payback x3-x5 of the investment.

Go to the nearest bank and get a loan.

The project is not a scam, hanypot, etc.

HAHAHAHAHA! Seems like you got a good sense of humor there!
937  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there anyone else who shares the same sentiments? on: June 08, 2023, 09:07:44 PM
The reason why the bitcoin market is not reacting so much to the SEC and Binance issue as much as we may have expected is because it appears to be more of a social attack rather than a direct attack on bitcoin network protocol, mining operations or blockchain technology. The market would have reacted differently if it was an attack on the network. Am I correct? I don't know much about the technical aspect of Bitcoin, but this is the best possible explanation I can think of for what is happening. Is there anyone else who shares the same sentiments?

What you mean by "social attack"?

From my understanding, the lack of significant reaction in the Bitcoin market could be attributed to the fact that the SEC's actions are primarily focused on altcoins and the platforms associated with them, rather than directly targeting Bitcoin. In fact, one could see this as a bullish sign for Bitcoin. Also, this situation is localized to the US and may not have a widespread impact globally. From where I stand, why should I even bother about the SEC suing some company over there? I mean, does it really affect me or anyone outside that jurisdiction?
938  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: A Non-Custodial wallet, Atomic Wallet, being compromised on: June 08, 2023, 08:50:00 PM
It couldn't have been a malicious update since many of the victims of the Atomic Wallet hack claim they were using an old version of a wallet when unauthorized asset draining occurred. It also doesn't look like hackers accessing dozen of computers with wallets installed, extracting secret information, and moving coins to the addresses they control: if it were the case, more users would have been affected. The most plausible explanation of what happened would be that Atomic Wallet is a semi-custodial wallet pretending to be fully non-custodial; it generates and keeps user information server-side for unknown purposes, probably for ensuring the proper functioning of some parts of the software like swaps or in-built exchanges. Users affected by this hack should have something in common: most likely they all were using the same in-built service that somehow leaked private keys when communicating with the server.

I am curious if there could be an alternative explanation for this hack. From what I gather, it seems that users were compromised even when they didn't have Atomic wallet actively running on their computers. Some individuals have reported not using the wallet for several months prior to the incident. In my opinion, this rules out the possibility of malicious code like trojan or spyware residing on their computers. Unless, of course, the attacker had been gathering private keys for an extended period of time leading up to the attack.
939  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Argument: Can a digital currency sent to a wrong address be recovered ? on: June 05, 2023, 10:29:55 PM
There have been cases where the unintended recipient has voluntarily sent the coins back, but such things are very, very rare.

Once a tx is confirmed, there's nothing a sender can do to reverse, undo or otherwise recover their coins.
You've got a point here, but are you really sure sending back is possible ?

Absolutely! It is totally possible to send coins back to your address. When you send coins to someone and the transaction gets confirmed, that person becomes the new owner of those coins. He has the freedom to send the coins wherever he pleases, including back to your address if he chooses to do so. It is entirely up to him.
940  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: A Non-Custodial wallet, Atomic Wallet, being compromised on: June 05, 2023, 09:46:39 PM
Every wallet stores customer seeds and private keys internally; it cannot function differently.
This is incorrect, electrum does not store your private keys, it is stored on your wallet file locally (on your device) and encrypted with your password.

Yes. Internally, locally... What is the difference? The point is that the seed phrase and private keys are created, stored and accessible by your wallet software. And just to clarify, it is not necessary for the file to be encrypted (although it is generally not recommended to store the keys in an unencrypted file).
