941  Other / Meta / Re: Account name change: knightdk --> achow101 on: September 20, 2016, 11:13:38 PM
We were newbies when we signed up and wasn't sure if we would stick around here that long so just picked up any random name that immediately came to our mind.
Which is your own fault. If you didn't want a username, you should have not picked it or dumped it for a new one in the beginnings of your account.

Even facebook allow name changed so why cant bitcointalk? Just once
Ah yes, I can imagine how much the admins would love being pestered by every user who picked a name they didn't like when signing up to have it changed. Besides, what's to say that two months after having your name changed you won't want it 'just once more' because you 'picked any random name that immediately came to mind'?
If you didn't like your name you shouldn't have picked it to begin with, or you should contribute enough to the community to warrant a change.

Regardless, congratulations on your position once again achow!
942  Other / Meta / Re: Ukrainian local board on: September 20, 2016, 11:07:50 PM
That's exactly because there's no specific Ukrainian board, and it's hard to discuss several topics in a single thread.
Tough? If you can get enough activity in your thread then you will be more likely to be given your own sub-forum. Not posting in your thread doesn't help matters whatsoever.

And when I reply in Ukrainian (or in English) on Russian board, I end being criticised and post - deleted.  You can guess what would happen if I'd reply in Ukrainian in English thread..
That's understandable. I wouldn't be allowed to post French in a Spanish thread, the same concept applies.

So, there's not enough activity in Ukrainian **exactly** because there's no place to have it.  And I'd much better to discuss cryptostuff in my native language than in English or Russian.
You have two options. You can post in the Ukrainian thread to generate activity to show you deserve a sub-board, or you can stay in the Russian/English boards and speak their respective languages.
943  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: September 18, 2016, 11:15:27 PM
We'll experiment with other ad networks in next weeks (a-ads currently).
I can't say I'm sure that A-Ads would be good for you. While it is consistent in paying to a Bitcoin address on time, the earnings from ads can significantly vary depending on the advertisers at the moment. In addition, due to the way A-Ads works, you would likely be taking earnings away from Faucet owners by using this service.
I'd personally suggest BitMedia, since AFAIK they are closest to AdSense. However, I believe the Freebitco.in and Freedoge.co.in faucets have been doing well with MellowAds since their AdSense account was terminated.

Anyone here wants to advertise on FaucetBOX.com Check page?
You could try making a thread in the Auctions section about it, however you may be better using a self serve advertising platform like CoinAd, MellowAds or BuySellAds (FIAT) if you would like to allow individuals to advertise with you.
944  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTB] $35-40 in BTC with paypal on: September 17, 2016, 07:09:50 PM
please help!!!!! i sent him the money and he just blocked me. i literally just spent all the money i had. he hasnt sent the bitcoin, what can i do? i think i got scammed, farlack PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. this was the last of my bday money
I would maybe give him a little bit more time, maybe until the end of today; unforeseen circumstances can arise which can prevent people from doing transactions.
If you still believe you have been scammed, you can create a thread in Scam Accusations with all evidence you have that you got scammed. If you are making a Scam Accusation thread, I suggest that you follow the report format to ensure you get your case across properly.
945  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: September 17, 2016, 12:07:47 PM
It worked for DFB http://dailyfreebits.com/balance8.php but no working for my other site http://aquabitcoin.com/balance1.php
Is the IP of Aquabitcoin's server whitelisted in your Access Control List in the Security tab of your Faucet's dashboard?
If so, can you change balance_bitcoin to message and see if that responds with anything?

Off topic: could some kind soul help me get recent payout working, I can read balance from API, but haven't have luck with payouts.
Are you sending a POST request when accessing the API? If you are using code similar to the one that I gave ahmedjadoon previously, it will not work as that is a GET request. GET requests only work for balance due to compatibility with Microwallet.

Also is it possible to get total given away coins from API, or has to be done manually?
AFAIK this is not possible. You would likely have to log the coins given away in a database along with every payout. I can't imagine that would be too difficult to do however.
946  Economy / Reputation / Re: Complain to Mod: mprep & BadBear, Please solve on: September 16, 2016, 09:40:02 PM
If you are in our position, you will understand. if you put 1 positive comment on our trust, we will appreciate it. thanks in advance
I wouldn't suggest asking for trust, it will likely land you in a worse position than you are currently in.
Not only this, but I am not on DT. This means that my feedback wouldn't fix your problem. I suggest that you read up and understand the Default Trust system and Forum Etiquette.
947  Economy / Reputation / Re: Complain to Mod: mprep & BadBear, Please solve on: September 16, 2016, 08:20:31 PM
So there is exception as user  cryptodevil continuously putting negative report to many trusted user and dev. So i request to mod to review matter.
You have been left two negative feedbacks by cryptodevil, that does not count as abuse. Him posting hundreds of feedbacks doesn't count as abuse either, as it clearly says in mprep's PM that abuse tends to be 'on one user).
948  Economy / Reputation / Re: Complain to Mod: mprep & BadBear, Please solve on: September 16, 2016, 07:35:52 PM
Yes, we have asked him(cryptodevil) to remove negative comments, but this maniac user(cryptodevil) replied more abusive comments then his negative comments.
If he doesn't want to remove it, then there is nothing that moderators can do. Moderators don't moderate trust, especially when they haven't been active for two months.  Roll Eyes

If you want to stop cryptodevil's trust affecting your score by default, the only things you can do is persuade him to remove it or contact dooglus to remove him from the Default Trust system. I wouldn't hold your breath for either of those happening though.

Else if you want the admins to interfere move your topic to ''meta'' (Bitcoin Forum > Other > Meta)
If something is to do with a user's Reputation, then it gets moved to the Reputation board. He is only asking for admin intervention because he does not understand how the DT system works.

My vote is also for megacrypton. mod ban user- cryptodevil and restore trust of megacrypton profile
My vote is also for megacrypton. i just reviewed cryptodevil profile, that user only put negative comments on every members profile, NO Proof, No Proper ref. my vote is also to ban cryptodevil user
Your obvious shill accounts isn't helping your case at all, I hope you know.
949  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: September 16, 2016, 07:01:02 PM
Why i am getting blank page when claiming on faucetbox faucet ?
Is this on a FaucetBOX faucet that you are the admin of?
If so, change $display_errors to true at line 7 of your config.php and see if you get any errors returned when claiming.
950  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [EDU] List of Bitcoin Scam Sites on: September 16, 2016, 04:19:09 PM
I found another user advertising his scam on the "Bitcoin Core 0.13.0 Released" thread but his post got deleted now. He was advertising this platform : duckbit.com (he also posted here too : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1611803.msg16266845#msg16266845 )
URL : duckbit.com

He is asking his users to download a file (JavaScript) (I guess it became a trend or something) , and It's getting detected as a virus , so It should be something malicious , I don't really know JS so couldn't tell what does it exactly :
snip
After reviewing the code briefly I am not entirely sure what happens, but from what I can gather it downloads external VBE files and interacts with the Windows Shell. I would strongly distrust everything about this.
I have added it to the list, thank you.
951  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary one day? on: September 15, 2016, 09:36:51 PM
hey buddy, year  have 52 weeks  Smiley.
I always get that wrong, damnit. I have fixed the post, thank you.

Moreover keep in mind that 775 acitivity possible to get not earlier than after 112 week(most likely with 784activity) or 2 year 1 month  and 24(23) day exactly.
maximum (just theoretically, not practicallyl) need 148 weeks or 2 years 10 months and 5-6 day.
The number I posted was more of an estimate (hence why I only used one decimal place when writing), however you are correct. It will likely take slightly longer than what I wrote, though it will be around the figures I wrote.
952  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary one day? on: September 15, 2016, 06:51:01 PM
Providing that you get the maximum activity (14) in every two week period it will take you near enough 2.1 years before you can qualify for Legendary.
(((775(The minimum amount of activity for Legendary)/14(Every 2 Week activity period))*2(Multiply by two to get every week))/52(Divided by the weeks in a year)) = 2.1

For the absolute maximum activity before Legendary, it would take 2.8 years. (((1030/14)*2)/52) = 2.8.
953  Other / Meta / Re: Ancient Bitcoin Talk accounts logging in on: September 13, 2016, 11:30:12 PM
It just because of leaked happens the forum database May 2011 was hacked and that's the reason why those account are being activated again i recommend to everyone that those account who created 2011 or below are change your password immediately before its to late its better to become a secured now than late.
The leaked forum database is significantly newer than May 2011 (IIRC it was some time in 2015), it has simply only recently been released to the public. If you haven't already since that time, and you still have access to your account, I would highly suggest that you change your password to something secure that is not used on any other website if nothing else.
954  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: September 13, 2016, 11:21:59 PM
Okay PM me updates regarding my balances every 2-3 days so i could create new one as soon the old one is drained.
My accounts ahmedjadoon and ahmedjadoon2
It would likely be a lot easier for you to use the FaucetBOX API on a separate page in order to get an updated statistic for your balance. Just something like this in a .php file should work (I believe):
Code:
<?php
$apiKey
'INSERTAPIKEYHERE';
echo
'Balance:' json_decode(file_get_contents('https://faucetbox.com/en/api/v1/balance/?api_key=' $apiKey))->balance_bitcoin 'BTC';
?>

This would show your balance in full Bitcoins, if you wanted it in Satoshi you could replace balance_bitcoin with just balance.
955  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [EDU] List of Bitcoin Scam Sites on: September 12, 2016, 02:10:22 PM
I'm not sure If it fits the description honestly (Still , It's up to you to decide), as It's not really a ponzi scheme , It's more like a malware.
If you check both btc4gen.com and bitcoinonline24.com , you will see that they ask you to download "BTC generators" which are executables.
snip
After thinking about it, I will add this to the list. Thank you for the continued reports.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1320378.msg16222424#msg16222424

This looks like a scam promoter to me. His promoted site https://forexparadise.biz/ may look nice and all but his promised profits can't be real, they are too high. (130 BTC profit in one year for "investing" 0.25 BTC)
The site he is advertising is a HYIP (High Yield Investment Program). This is essentially a fancy acronym for a Ponzi/Pyramid scheme. Due to this, I won't add this site to the list.
If you are worried about his reputation regarding this, you can feel free to create a thread in Reputation about him for DT members to evaluate.
956  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [EDU] List of Bitcoin Scam Sites on: September 08, 2016, 06:19:55 PM
I assume that you missed the three websites I gave you few days ago ? as you didn't add them : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1326821.msg15974873#msg15974873
I did, my apologies.

URL : HybridMixer.com
Evidence : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1590396.new#new (It's pretty much confirmed now ,feel free to read the posts as I didn't add everything to the OP)
...
URL : btc4gen.com
I've added these two to the main list. Thank you for the reports, and sorry for being late.

URL : bitcoinonline24.com
I'm hesitant to add this one as it somewhat fits the description in the OP:
I have removed any obvious ponzi sites (E.G "Double your bitcoins in 2 days") from the list and they will not be added
While this may not be a legitimate ponzi site (as in it doesn't pay out), though it still fits the description.
957  Other / Meta / Re: Q: Should Lauda *really* be a moderator of bitcointalk A: no on: September 07, 2016, 10:30:54 PM
Except that Lauda does not have the ability to lock this thread because it is in a section he does not have moderating power over.
Regardless it would still be Lauda's fault; they would have extorted another staff member into doing it for them.
This and my previous post were sarcastic, for anyone confused.

Lauda does take affirmative actions to prevent others from criticizing him.
Considering this thread was made when the OP was a Newbie (their 14th post) and Lauda is a patroller (meaning they moderate newbies regardless of the section), why did they not take these 'affirmative actions' in the time between the thread being created and the OP becoming a Jr. Member?

This is evidenced by his heavy use of self moderated threads
Self Moderated threads can be used for other purposes than censorship.

and by his deleting replies that have been critical of him.
Ignoring the singular example of your post being deleted, can you provide any more proof of this?
958  Other / Meta / Re: Q: Should Lauda *really* be a moderator of bitcointalk A: no on: September 07, 2016, 07:32:22 PM
This thread needs binning, why the hell is it still open?
If it were to be locked, Lauda would obviously be stopping their opponents from criticizing them. It would be yet more proof that they are so shady.
959  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [EDU] List of Bitcoin Scam Sites on: September 07, 2016, 04:20:40 PM
Please add https://paloffers.com/ I bought an Amazon voucher but they never delivered, never responded e-mail, the phone number is disconnected and when I sent a tweet they made the Twitter account private.
Betking.  Promises u very interesting bonus,  then removes it once u register
Can both of you create a thread in Scam Accusations with any evidence you may have against these websites? Thanks.

You are in no place to criticize anyone else's sent trust.
I do not see positive feedback such as 'jason is a cutie !!!! i have a crush on him won't give me his skype though lol !!!!' as being appropriate at all, not to mention the insane amount of neg-spam left on this user.

Lead by example. You crying about misuse of the trust system is a classic case of the pot calling the kettle black.
