1-0 and we lost the bet, but Bahia were lucky not to lose as it turned out, outshot and out-chanced, but not outscored. Lovely string of losses but that doesn't put us off, does it?

More misery for United at Craven Cottage, and a surprise win for BVB in Der Klassiker are my acca for the weekend -- follow a streak and break another?

100 units on Fulham and BVB to WIN @11.68 (the odds aren't wrong, United are that bad). Other odds: 11.55. Units advantage: 13

Running advantage after 31 bets: +3196 (+36)
All-time cumulative: +93,056
Running units after 30 bets (3W|27L): -412 (-100)

Yeah tennis and football, depending on age of courts/fields, there are min and max standards but not everyone has the same. I remember Highbury the most as the shortest -- people frequently felt they were running out of grass!

Anyway, damn. Sinner withdrew, that lack of rest thing you guys talking about, I don't get it either.

I face down another point loss as Tsitsi actually make it through, it appears the best I can hope for now is a draw if Djoker pulls through later. Doesn't look good to lose to Div1 new faces so I'll be looking to improve when Cro2 mafia comes to town. Is it me or are all of us having tough rounds? Ignoring Kokee's 10 goals scored.

From my understanding, their manager Alex Cora will return for a sixth season (even after finishing last in the AL East in back-to-back seasons).
Your BoSox are ~30/1 to win the 2024 World Series.

Must have read it wrong before... I see now that it's the chief baseball officer who's going to get a new face. Now I'm looking, 30/1 doesn't really sound so attractive, to be honest, but I'll hit it if it gets to 50/1.

@casperBGD @famososMuertos I like this wild card concept for sure, it's really the type of format that I prefer, giving a chance for underdogs and giving great value to my style of outrights. As I mentioned earlier, the winner had rather worse winning percentages than others. I know there are big arguments for rewarding consistency but wild cards amp up the randomness -- me likey.

^ So nothing's changed at all then (nett result is same as ever before). For some odd reason, my first season of MajSev is still my best, really made a killing on huge multiplier accas on UCL back when Liverpool were doing tremendously well. Too bad I don't remember much of those details. Bitcoin price then also made the BTC amount attractive.

FJ: Still looking for the return of 4+1. That's really the promo I took advantage of the most Wink

^ Opportunity Volendam? Ha! They managed 3 attempts against the shittiest Ajax you'll see in your lifetime and allowed them to try 26 times by the time it became 2-0 moments ago.

I think Eredivisie can now curse Volendam for breathing new life into the Luckys... if Ajax turn their season around, it will be tonight that serves as the turning point. Bah.

My picks in. I went boring =) England, Spain, Italy largely avoided upsets in their cups but we saw a number fall in Germany huh.

last home win in Bundesliga for Dortmund was in 2018, and in Munich it was in 2014, with Lewa still playing for Dortmund
odds on Bavarians are too good to be true, with this statistics in mind, but it could always turn out wrong, statistically it has to

especially since yesterday bayern surprisingly lost 1-2 against third division team 1. fc saarbrücken in the dfb pokal and also lost its defender Matthijs de Ligt (with a serious knee injury).
imo this increases dortmund's chances of a home win enormously and threatens further unrest in munich.

Or, it galvanises Bayern into ensuring they don't lose back-to-back games. They rested plenty of ket players, too in their loss last night, so while it in no way excuses their loss, it's all the more reason to believe they'll be too strong and too motivated for BVB. I've withdrawn my intentions, pending odds update, but yeah, last night's results make me doubt the upset now. Maybe if Sportsbet trumps the odds to 5/1 eh?

I bought a PS5 however I couldn't buy the newly released games because of their being very expensive. Therefore I'm confessing that I sold the match to buwaytress last week. Tongue  If we play against each other in the cup I can sell the match to you as well in exchange for a game chair. Tongue  Joking aside it is really very sad to have lost 4 points because of forgetting to make predictions. Because after becoming the champion last season I have been wishing to finish in at least top 3 in this year as well.

Back home I used to hear stories of people who'd go out and buy the most expensive bike they could afford after getting a windfall... and then not having enough money to buy petrol so the bike becomes a showpiece they just walk around with haha.

Nice that we can openly discuss our corruption and everyone lets us go Wink

Don't worry, plenty of points left to play for. I have a bad feeling about this round, already down 1 point for trusting NZ twice in a row... leea is last year's Div2 champ too.

Div 1 pays 2.5mBTC, Div 2 pays 1.5mBTC, and Div 3 plays for free in order to achieve promotion and experience. I'm not sure if the Cro2 has ever thought of this setup. Div 2 shouldn't be playing for free

I feel like this could be something to consider actually. Could complicate but why not a portion of Div2 prizes set aside for paid participants? The more pay, the bigger the portion from overall Div2?

My wager on the Texas Rangers to win the World Series @ 1.65 is looking good right now; with current odds @ 1.09  Cool
They have a commanding 3-1 lead and hopefully close out the World Series tonight @ 1.93

Congratulations on the win, Always nice to wrap things up so quickly. Probably not "usual for things to get done and dusted so soon hm?

Also, I didn't know this but it's also their maiden WS -- I'll be on the lookout now for pre-season odds on the remaining teams (Seattle, Milwaukee, San Diego, Colorado, Tampa Bay) who've never won it before, or is that wishful thinking?

Looking at stats without even understanding, Tampa Bay looked really impressive just shy of 100 wins in the season (Rangers only had 90, Arizona only 84!). BoSox always gets my nostalgic pick, they're getting a new manager yeah?
952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Bundesliga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: November 01, 2023, 07:15:03 PM
@all participants sportsbet.io sponsors 5x 20USDT free bets due to the top match dortmund vs. bayern. these 5 free bets will be credited on the next monday to the 5 participants who score the 5 highest points (after the matchday winner). if there are participants who have the same number of points, first the 4-pt matches, then the 3-pt matches and finally the 2-pt matches will be evaluated.

example: player a and player b both reach 14 points. player a has 3 correct results and player b only 2, then player a is the winner.

Good on Sportsbet to recognise what a big deal Der Klassiker is. I know where my money is on that game )no surprise where it always is on this tie haha) but the odds have rarely been this good. As for picks, though, I'm not sure I can risk the upset with a freebet on the line Wink It is on, cygan!

P.S. OT but Freiburg just fell to old boys Paderborn. I wonder if it really is time for me to fold on picking them all the time.

Just popping in to say thank you for the Halloween gift to CG =) I don't really play much anymore these days but I make sure to participate in every Bitcoin lottery draw (quite a number of single ticket wins there already for me, maybe a record setter at some point?).

Would also like to ask, can we please have that Investment scheme back on CG? It was too tasty a treat to pass off for many diligent investors like me.  Grin

Don't see them bringing it back (but hey, happy to be proven wrong). Enjoy the memories and appreciate you were part of it. Was also part of it -- every coin I had had a hand. I remember the day some guy dumped 60 BTC and lost -- the biggest single jump in my investment bankroll!

I actually tried looking for the article under news yesterday but thought it wasn't there (though should say different things show up for me depending on device/location) but maybe I was too early Wink Now I see I missed it because the title said Season 2...

Anyway, it seems my payout to CLS63 worked, Sheriff didn't catch it, mafia didn't catch it.

Good to see fewer and fewer no shows. I personally think we should alert Div 3 people a few hours before. Only to assume they're not yet as seasoned as us who have Tuesday evenings burned into our brains? I note that there is some thinking to be done about fairness but perhaps a bit more coddling is necessary -- yes, the attentive ones lose their edge, but maybe it's a good sacrifice to try and keep things competitive?

955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: November 01, 2023, 02:18:00 PM
This is the only pool where I think I have a chance to win something. I even now started to fear if I will lose the side bet with CLS63 in PL pool LOL

maybe same as me because in PL pool i'm rank 18 while on Serie A Pool i'm rank 5 at the moment.
and even this week i got Yellow Cap with FamLFC

For a bit I got really confused here because you both said you got yellow caps (then I saw it myself). Actually thought I had a pretty decent round but I go see Superbru and my dreams are dashed -- behind you both by 2 points.

Very good round for you and me then entebah, I'm actually in Top 10 now hooray. Typical, as usual, to be performing in the league I'm currently watching/following the least this season.

You know what's news? Last year's champion, Harkorede is 3rd. From bottom. Sorry Harko =p

Scalability? I think that's been solved. Years ago. That was why that whole "civil war" happened. Lightning to me is the solution -- adoption (which relies also on ease of use and desire) is outside the point. Bitcoin was the solution for independent money, its adoption is outside the point.

It's privacy, really, that's the immediate focus of Bitcoin. It's what I can tell as an outside normie observer.

A bit of a close match, reflected by the scoreline, but I guess post-summer2023 Freiburg is not pre-summer Freiburg after all. We return to Brasil for some goodfeel pinings, that was the scene of our last non-continental away win, and I think there's value when 8th place takes on 15th place... and odds are inflated as is the case today with Fluminense taking on Bahia. I understand why they're the underdogs as they have Copa Libertadores final on Sunday but that's no reason to not win tonight to build momentum, no?

100 units on Fluminense to WIN vs Bahia @8.26. Other odds: 7.90. Units advantage: 36

Running advantage after 30 bets: +3196 (+36)
All-time cumulative: +93,056
Running units after 29 bets (3W|26L): -312 (-100)

That was a nice round, typical I forgot my picks heh heh. Not going to miss out again due to negligence so put next picks in early.

I am already over 25 correct for the season and I am gunning for that 1k reward. Never gonna get 7/7 and big prize but these 100 correct seem achievable.

Yeah, that was an absolutely achievable amount and I still fancy my chances. The $1000 value is very high +EV, I only have myself to blame for missing a few rounds. Next round is tasty, many "sure" picks including Salah, Son, Watkins. I'm even counting on Hojlund to break his duck at Fulham!

Maybe 7/7 is coming instead (haha).
959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: October 31, 2023, 03:07:50 PM
If the team can build good momentum in both competitions like City did last season, they can better themselves overall and make it difficult for teams to play against them.
Out of the 5 premier league titles City has won, I think they got to the semi final of the UCL in 3 or 4 of those occasions.

- Jay -
You picked maybe the only team in the world that makes your thesis float Smiley

City and Guardiola are known for their rotation policy and having the longest bench in the world. I agree with you that City can use those games to build momentum but City is in a league of its own.

Yeah, have to back Trofo here. Europe brings experience and competitiveness -- that's good for player development. But it's more the revenue from those that help a club grow in depth, to increase statistical likelihood to win, rather than on a few overperforming players.

Fatigue is real. Liverpool took their 2022 season all the way trying to win the quadruple and just lost out on Europe after extreme fatigue the next season. It wasn't the first time that happened to them, either.

Everton, a loose example of what non-Europe involvement can do for league stability -- never qualifying for Europe but finishing 6-8th place every season from 2010-2015... then they got 5th, and qualified for Europe.

The moment a thin squad had to compete in many more games, they dropped to 11th 2 seasons running, lost out of Europe, got in again, bit those two appearances just wiped off stability, they've been sliding down since -- because they didn't expand the way a club should. I think of Leeds the same way a decade before that.
960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆Rollbit.com | Champions League Pool | $11,000+ in Prizes ⚽️ Discussion Thread on: October 30, 2023, 08:17:44 PM
The usernames of all freebet prize winners have been submitted -- if possible, just sign up for a Rollbit.com account (it's free) and submit your username to me any time, to save the waiting time for others. It's just better to submit everything at the same time =)

On Women's Chmpions League, Aitana should get the Ballon d'Or tonight -- the first player to win every individual award possible in a single season. All due respect, but I never heard of her until tonight =D Ronaldinho didn't have a long career but won all world, continental and club titles he qualifies for (no one counts friendly cups like CWC right?).

It's nowadays normal for such clubs, reflecting highly international feel and fanbase but this is why I really respect especially Basque clubs who almost purely pick locals (not Barca of course but a lot of Spanish roots still) and nobody can ignore Athletic Bilbao for being 100% Basque their whole time in La Liga.

Arsenal started the trend in Wenger era I believe with no English players, I believe United and Liverpool never did this. I guess it's not like the most important thing in the world especially talking about Champions League but you feel extra special if the badge on your shirt is where you grew up right?

United? Wrong. As you say, international glam and flavour of Prem League means almost every big club has done this. In fact, I thought Ferguson did it long before Wenger but had to look it up. I was right, but apparently, Chelsea holds that dubious honour by doing so in 1999 when Vialli took on Saints on Boxing Day.

Ferguson and Wenger made it a habit but speaking of Basque, Liverpool actually prefer to go a step further, not just ensuring English, but Scouse presence. Gerrard and Carragher generally ensured I watched every game with a Scouser present and Trent has taken over that mantle but there was a scandalous Merseyside derby the season after Gerrard left when no Scouser played.

Only weeks after that "sad" event, Klopp arrived... fast tracked local academy boys... including a Scouse wearing No. 66. I think there's a real difference when local boys play for their shirt =)
