941  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Buy MaidSafeCoin (MSAFE) with Bitcoin, same price than IPO. on: April 26, 2014, 06:01:01 AM
UP! Price updated.

If you missed MaidSafeCoin IPO this is a good oportunity to join.
942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Buy MaidSafeCoin (MSAFE) with Bitcoin. SOLD OUT. on: April 25, 2014, 05:35:06 AM
I'm selling MSAFE for bitcoins at ~47% below IPO price! Offer valid only for 24h. First come first serve.
My current selling price is 0.00003150 bitcoin/MSAFE. Only trades worth 1 bitcoin or more.

For each bitcoin you get 31,746 MSAFE!!
IPO was offering 17,000 MSAFE for each bitcoin

I accept escrow, however, you can check I have a high reputation both in bitcointalk and localbitcoins. If escrow is required, expenses will be paid by buyer.

PM or leave a message here if interested!

SOLD OUT!

945  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IPO of MaidSafe:  Entering the Future of the Decentralized Internet on: April 22, 2014, 07:25:57 PM
Few important questions I didn't find answer for

  • How much more can be bought with bitcoins
  • I didn't see anywhere development timeline. When we can expect working version. For what features the money will be used?
  • Will the average user (not farmer) be able to visit maidsafe hosted sites without installing any client on his PC?

+1

I asked for the second one and still no answer. They only tell in their website "Full public launch of the network will take place in the very near future."...

When network will be launched?

Lol at MSC pump and dump.

If you offer a 50% percent discount using MSC compared to BTC, you can't expect 70% users will pay with BTC...
948  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Pizza for bitcoins? on: April 21, 2014, 11:32:18 AM
Today, I paid 0.025 bitcoins for a pizza. You can blame me in 5 years  Grin

I really wonder what next week will bring in the bitcoin world.

Your turn, China.

My buddy recommends electrum wallets to newbies, but I haven't seen it mentioned here to protect from at least losing your coins accidentally. Is there something wrong with it that I don't know about?

I am not familiar with it.

The main problem with software wallets that run as applications is that the security of their environment is very hard to guarantee. Ideally a hardware wallet would be a single purpose device that has very restricted input and output. There would also need to be some special restrictions on the signing authorization.

Trezor

Indeed they are really useful for new users, however pre-orders closed 6 months ago... still nothing.

I hope Trezors arrive soon to the market,

I guess we rallied because of this news:

China's First ATM revealed in Shanghai by BTC China -- Website of China's Central Government
http://www.microsofttranslator.com/bv.aspx?from=&to=en&a=http://www.gov.cn/xinwen/2014-04/16/content_2660150.htm

This news was launched 6 hours ago, exactly at the same time pump started.

But nothing new, just a summary of last week's news.

Nothing new? The chinese government reporting about bitcoin ATMs is the news itself.  Shocked

I meant, inside the article nothing new.

solving the double spend problem... which had been vexing to any prior digital currency (and continues to be a problem for fiat-related systems).

Double spending is not at all a problem with fiat. Neither cash nor credit. Counterfeinting and (succesful) attacks on cards, POS'es, ATMs yes, but not double spending. You cannot clone Benjamin. At least not a fictive but definitely produceable quantum Benjamin that cannot be cloned.

Creating fake bills and using them is doble spending. So yes, cash has that problem.

958  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: Busco financiación 15% de rentabilidad on: April 17, 2014, 03:02:47 PM

Any bad (FUD or not) news from China for this recent drop?

huobi made a minor announcement, nothing really. it was pretty weak before the announcement, so this is just a natural correction.

Yeah, I saw it yesterday night. Price was pumped by a 1k bitcoin wall on bitfinex.
