1561  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ★ Exmo.com ★ - A Universal Cryptocurrency Platform ★ on: July 28, 2015, 12:34:22 PM
I have noticed that the bitcoin price here on Exmo is always slightly higher than other exchanges?  Does anyone know the reason for this?
it is just because of lower volume / less traders.
If you see that the price at exmo is higher, just sell your bitcoins at exmo and buy them elsewhere Wink

But of course sometimes there are real reasons for price differences. The most common reason for price differences are the fees, especially for deposit/withdrawal. So if Exmo would have high withdrawal fees for fiat, let's say 2%, the price would be ~2% higher at exmo, because people are buying bitcoins to withdraw them cheaper, than they could withdraw fiat.
But exmos fee is very low, so I think in this case it is just the small volume.

edit:
at the moment the USD price at exmo is really low, so you can make a profit by buying at exmo and selling elsewhere Wink ..(so maybe it's not that easy to deposit USD at exmo?)   The EUR price is the same like elsewhere at the moment.
1562  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Exmo.com – A Universal Cryptocurrency Platform on: July 26, 2015, 09:44:06 PM
We thank you for your advice and positive feedback. Exmo values everyone's opinion and welcomes their comments whether they be positive or negative. It is only by serving the needs of our users that will enable us to achieve our goals.

I have expressed concerns with completed orders in trade history that never appear in the order boxes (I call them invisible orders). These transactions are always for very large amounts (smallest I've seem is .2 BTC and highest has been 7 BTC). Be advised this has equated to many 100s of 1000s of USD in a few short days (BTC/USD tab was the first I noticed this event happening). All my efforts to raise awareness to it, have been complacency by users and chat banning  for myself.
I have taken many screen shots of the invisible order trading and will be releasing them to others for investigation.

I would also like to address the lie I was given as a chat ban cannot be lifted, after it is imposed, until the time duration of the ban is completed. The reason for my ban was labelled spam and it's duration is 1 week.

On a side note, I have been informed by tech support, the private message system is working correctly, but have yet to receive 1 from friends that use.
Hi =)
I assume you alreday wrote my posts about this topic? If not, here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1084193.msg11896403#msg11896403
So yes, of course you are right about those orders Wink
I also did some tests, to find out how they work.

For now I can say they are always within the spread. So if the best sell order is 200€ and the best buy order is 195€, these invisible orders are between them.
I made my tests in the EUR/BTC pair, because at USD/BTC are too many real trades, to make my testing. I placed several orders to minimize the spread, to see what will happen... Unfortunately these invisible orders are much less frequent at BTC/EUR, so it takes very long to get results.

I think you can say: If there is no spread (200€ to 199.99€) no invisible orders will appaer (not 100% sure).  But I had one single case, where I placed 0.0001BTC orders to eliminate the spread, and an invisible order matched one of them. I know it was a invisible order, because the rest of the amount (order amount - 0.0001) was executet at a price that was never in the orderbook.
Because it took so long to find something out, I decided to do more tests, after I have access to the API. With API I will place many of 0.0001 orders, to see, what will happen with those invisibile orders.
https://community.fidor.de/group/rueckbuchungen-kontoschliessun

1565  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ***Official CEX.IO Thread*** on: July 25, 2015, 07:08:47 PM
I wrote here because it could be a general withdraw problem, but Cex answered it is not, so okay.
Of course I already wrote a ticket and it was redirected to the finance department.

@Cex: Still no answer from your finance department since 20 hours now. Do they work on weekend?
It is very frustrating that the withdrawals did not arrived before weekend (= took more than 3 businessdays). That's why I want to know the reason to make sure it won't happen again... like I said, all previous withdrawals were very fast, that's why I presume there was an issue this time.
I'm posting this here to get info, how long I have to wait until I get an answer from the finance department.

edit:
got answer and cex is investigating...
edit2:
got the money.. no one knows why it took so long...

I want to make a deposit with PayPal but I can't find it? Can someone tell me if this is possible?
normally paypal is accepted nowhere (in exchange for coins) because of high fraud risk. You could claim your money back after purchasing coins.
There are some individuals or websites that offer bitcoins for paypal, but because of the high risk you usually pay much much more for one coin.

1568  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ***Official CEX.IO Thread*** on: July 24, 2015, 04:05:56 PM
Hey CEX Smiley

Do you have problems with EURO withdrawals at the moment?
I have three completed withdrawals, which were not in my bank account yet. Two from 21st and one from 22nd.
All previous withdrawals were at my bank account without problems one day after I got your "funds removed" mail.

If the money is not here in 3 hours, I will write a support ticket, but maybe you can answer it.

1570  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Coinffeine Dezentrale Exchange on: July 23, 2015, 08:44:32 PM
Sobald jemand erste Erfahrungen sammeln konnte, würde mich ein kleiner bericht interessieren Smiley
Was ich mich aktuell frage:

1571  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ANX: Your Ultimate Crypto Trading Platform on: July 23, 2015, 04:16:06 PM
Nice to see you added a part of the orderbook (best 5 bids/asks) to the front page ! So I no longer have to login, to see them Smiley

@ bernard75 about your post from 4th may:
The picture you posted is their true data.

You can switch currency with the button on the top left. After doing so, you will notice, that the 24h volume is the same for every fiat currency. This is because it is the cumulative volume.
I already discussed this about 1-2 years ago here in this thread.  Anx places all orders in the same orderbook. So if you place a buy order for 1 BTC for 200€, it will also appear in the USD orderbook. Let's assume the USD/EUR is 1.1 , 200€ would be 200*1.1 = 220$ So your buy order in the USD book could be at 220-x $ (x is the converting fee that anx gets).

I already discussed, that this behaviour makes it hard to comprehend the market activity.  Because it can happen, that your buy order for 200€ is not filled, while you see, that someone sold bitcoins down to 199€.   The answer is then, that he sold in a different currency, which price is equal to 199€, but not if you take the converting fees into account.

Schade wollte mich gerade anmelden.

@ exmo:
no I don't know a way to contact bitcoinwisdom =/

about your exchange:
How does it come, that your numbers are not exactly the ones they should be?  I mean I ordered a withdrawal of 800€. The (russian) message I get from Exmo is:
799.99999992 eur ".  Why 799.99999992 ?

Is it maybe because your programming language is Python, which can't deal properly with float numbers (1.1 + 2.2 = 3.3000000000000003 ) ?
If so, can't you solve it with the Decimal module ?
Code:
from decimal import *
Decimal("1.1")+Decimal("2.2")=3.3
1575  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: BTC-Börsen ohne Selfie on: July 21, 2015, 08:31:12 PM

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=318010.msg11780354#msg11780354
edit:

1576  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ★ Exmo.com ★ - A Universal Cryptocurrency Platform ★ on: July 21, 2015, 07:55:15 PM
SEPA transfers in 1 day! This is really convenient!
and without fee, it's great Smiley

@Armen555:
Maybe this video will help you to understand, how an orderbook works:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWMBQJrfHmE

the website you can see there is bitcoinwisdom.com , which gives you an overview about the prices and orderbooks from various bitcoin exchanges (you can choose the exchange you want on the top of the screen). Unfortunately Exmo is not in their list.
To place an order at Exmo into their orderbook, you have to place a "limit order" instead of this "instant order" on the trading page.
1577  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Kraken Now Open for Germany on: July 19, 2015, 09:28:38 PM

1578  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ★ Exmo.com ★ - A Universal Cryptocurrency Platform ★ on: July 19, 2015, 09:25:11 PM
I read here in an earlier post that the currency rates at Exmo are driven by their own sub-market conditions. What about your margins between buying and selling? How are they generated?
which currency rates do mean ? Do you mean the prices you see in the orderbook? I mean the ones you can see here "buy orders" and "sell orders" https://exmo.com/trade#?pair=BTC_EUR
If so, did you ever traded on an bitcoin exchange before? Or traded on stock market?

Everyone can place orders there into this orderbook. You can place orders, I can places orders.
1579  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ***Official CEX.IO Thread*** on: July 18, 2015, 07:04:41 PM
can anyone withdraw?  Has anyone successfully withdrawn in the last few days?  I get to the withdraw page, enter all my info and click the button and it does nothing.  Tried it on 4 different browsers (opera, firefox, chromium and chrome) 2 different vpn ips and in the clear, then I tried on firefox on another machine on another ip address and still nothing.  If anyone is thinking of starting to mine or trade with cex.io, I wouldn't until they figure this out.  Sounds like I am not the only one so it may be the start of an exit scam.
withdraw what?
I just withdrew btc about 3 hours ago without problems.  The last successful EUR withdrawal was at wednesday.
edit: the EUR withdrawal was before this new website design for withdrawal

edit2:
just did another EUR withdrawal without problems.

But as we are talking about withdrawal, I experience the following "bug":
After initiating a btc withdrawal, I have to click the confirmation link in my email. After clicking it, it takes "hours" to redirect to Cex. So I click the link from my email provider which says sth like "if you are not redirected within 15 seconds click this link".  After clicking it, I get a Cex website which says sth like "Oops invalid code".
But the withdrawal is executed.
1580  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Extremely easy to have coins stolen on Bitfinex! on: July 18, 2015, 04:54:13 PM
He used gmail, and it was hacked.  2FA is not required for trades, only for withdrawals.  So the 2FA did its job in keeping the coins from being withdrew.  However the hackers were smart enough to realize this, and siphoned the money away through bad trades into their own trading account.
They don't require 2FA to login? That is pretty stupid.
bitfinex do require 2FA for login (at least you can set it up this way)
