1561  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: September 08, 2022, 11:52:20 PM
What is the difference between greediness and risk,
In this concept which has to do with gambling, one could be said to be "greedy" if he has a certain amount of money and yet not satisfied with the little or huge which he has, i.e always wanting to have that which belongs to others, and one can also be said to take "risk" when he/she tends to gamble all he has with the sole aim of doubling it, which he could either lose or gain
Theirs nothing like gain in gambling, what is actually happening in the gamblling is grace to succeed, talking of greediness is happening directly in gambling, because i know that some gambling like casino and poker game their is nothing like greedy because as a gambler you have your own target of getting what you want in gambling.

I am trying to make sense of what you said, but bottom line there is actually something like winning in gambling. You can ask the professional poker players that actually make their living, and sometimes a fortune, of playing the games for money. However, you have to choose your game wisely as most of the betting games are designed so that you will eventually loose.
1562  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1 - The copycat epidemic within crypto casinos. on: September 08, 2022, 11:49:59 PM
In a way yes, copying is usually not enough, since the incumbent has always the advantage of being first to market and, if they have a proper strategy, they do know how to get that across to customers. Having said that, the games out there are very similar. It is in fact quite silly that with all the possibilities available with technology, casinos still relay on the old tested games.
1563  Economy / Gambling / Re: Poker tournaments why tournaments in other games on: September 08, 2022, 11:47:32 PM
Professional poker players are more dedicated and well-focused on the game or should we say that they have an advantage when it comes to experience. Anyone could play poker but not anyone could be professional in it. It needs a further understanding of how to deal with the risks of this game and having a sense of responsibility at the same time. People prefer poker over other gambling games because its risk is more manageable than others.
When they want to learn to be a professional poker player, they must spend more time learning various poker lessons and how to control themselves. Becoming a professional poker player means that they can also earn money from the game while continuing to learn. It is not easy because they should prepare many things before becoming a professional poker player, especially the time that must be spent to become a professional. But all gambling games have risks and the size of these risks varies depending on several things.

I think that they do get over the psicological aspects very early or else they simply have to abandon. Most professionals take the game level to a point that is pure mathematics. In the same interview, she explained that during the game she just thinks of the money on the table as "firing power" or "fuel left" to be burned and decissions are purely intelectual.
1564  Economy / Economics / Re: US congress set to consider legislation to BAN proof of work on: September 08, 2022, 11:44:38 PM
After most of the laws in US there ahs to be a group of interest, that is just how the system works. I wonder who would be promoting the an on proof-of-work or other similar technologies. May it be related to the Ethereum foundation and the changes in Ethereum? In any case, if the hashing does not happen in the US, so be it, there are better alternatives.
1565  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the pet industry recession-proof? on: September 08, 2022, 03:21:08 PM
-Givign away your pet is one of the last things people do, but there is nothing really recession proof on that regard. The supplies will be more basic, non-brand items... there will be less buys and much less spending in superficial or optional things. The medicines and food staples tend to be the go-to items when trying to shell from a recession - these are classic defensive assests.
1566  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: September 08, 2022, 03:16:06 PM
I want to say that raising the flag over Vysokopolye and taking three more villages (by the way, which ones?) is too thin a result for a week of suicidal attacks on an open field as part of a counteroffensive that has been prepared since the beginning of summer.

LOL that's really weak sauce for someone who was boasting about capturing some villages in Donbas, didn't get any new talking points?

The "open field" is just a tiny part of the counteroffensive. All those bavovna also mean something. The disappearing of bridges and daily attacks on ferries basically makes the invaders surrounded. Ukrainians don't need to go guns blazing into Kherson, they can slowly squeeze them until the inevitable "good will gesture". Or if the brilliant Russian military strategists decide to send more reinforcements cannon fodder - that can work out well for Ukrainians too, meaning less pressure elsewhere.

Twist it as you want, but the momentum is clearly shifting. Capture Kyiv in 3 days -> capture some villages in Donbas -> try to hold on to some villages in Donbas -> ah shit, lost some villages near Kherson, no big deal -> next I suppose will be a retreat from Kherson and some desperate attempt to reinforce the land corridor through Melitopol because that's being himarsed daily too.

Easy Win
May require "convincing"
We are on a long path to glory
Oh, well just a set-back
This is looking a bit difficult
What? They are actually attacking us?                                      <-- Kremlin trolls are here.
Seems like our army is making many gestures of "good will"
Ah, marvellous defence of the Rodina ongoing.
That victory near Moscow was awesome.
I have to learn Ukrainian.

1567  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: September 05, 2022, 11:20:45 PM
Why invent when Ukraine has more than enough confirmed losses.
So, what you're trying to show with this one? It's war and loses is inevitable. But these thousands of Ukrainians killed in few days of counteroffensive reminds other fairytales from Russian Defense ministry like destroyed all Ukrainian aviation in first days of war, destroyed (I lost count already) HIMARS and it's loading vehicles, which doesn't even exist.
I want to say that raising the flag over Vysokopolye and taking three more villages (by the way, which ones?) is too thin a result for a week of suicidal attacks on an open field as part of a counteroffensive that has been prepared since the beginning of summer.

It seems that you are trying to somehow stop the Ukrainian army just by posting and trying to avoid the wester aid to miraculously cease to exist. There is something you must understand: survival comes first, comfort comes later. If the liberal democracies are at risk, have no doubt that they will defend themselves by helping Ukraine and integrating the country in a productive economic environment.

Meanwhile, you old and corrupted "leader" digs around trying to find people desperate enough to go to the front.

Well, I hope this photo of the Ukrainian flag in Vysokopolye justifies the several thousand dead soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the week of the counterattack on Kherson.

Your propaganda is bad, you should have written several tens of thousands to make it more convincing. ...

1568  Economy / Economics / Re: UK inflation to top 18% in early 2023 on: September 04, 2022, 12:51:39 AM
YoY inflation on 18% is unlikely, but despite that is going to be very high. The social context is already close to the seventies, with a number of strikes on key sectors such as transportation, quite more intense than usual. Some of them do not get on the news, but they are successful and that means that more people are actually being able to update the salaries.

The military spending in the RF is 11% of the GDP, which for a large country with a GNP similar to Italy cannot end in anything that is not deprivation and underdevelopment for most of it.

Imagine that the city of Messina has an open sewer, and it leads directly into the sea.
..

Missing the point by miles.

Yes yes, that's ofc true. I'm very satisfied that russian mod already telling about "defeat", because in real war it can take weeks to understand is it defeat or victory, Will be easy to blame them on this forum.
Johhny, you're deluding yourself. Three days after the start of the counteroffensive, it is already clear that this is an epic fuckup. On the first day, the pro-Ukrainian telegram channels trumpeted the long-awaited victory, and then shut up together, because there are too many photos and videos of evidence to the contrary on the network. A senseless waste of human resources and armored vehicles.

And an unsuccessful attempt to land troops near Energodar on the day the IAEA mission arrived is a separate ёбaный пиздeц. Grin

ps As Carl von Clausewitz said, "military affairs are simple and quite accessible to the sane mind of a person. But it is difficult to fight". Especially against the Russians.

You need to post harder, it seems that your current style is unable to kill any Ukrainians. Or maybe you should go to the front and show us all that "glory" by yourself and that great fighting style that you talk about.

Anyway, a few weeks ago, no kind of counter-offensive would be even thinkable. That you make you think about the future.

1570  Other / Politics & Society / Re: A Trump audit should prohibit him from running in 2024. on: August 31, 2022, 09:22:21 PM

So do you guys think Trump didn't steal boxes of National Security related documents on his way out of the White House?

Or do you think a US President on his way out of office should be able to take government records that are classified at the highest levels to keep for himself, in his basement?

Or do you just defend Trump at all costs no matter what?

I don't think any of you are idiots (notice I didn't include BADecker), its just baffling to me how irrational you all act when it comes to anything related to liberals or Trump.

Somehow you think that a President suddenly acts illegally, when all the while he is surrounded by some of the best lawyers and others who know the law. ..

And that would be true for someone who has a certain degree of humbleness and care for the views of other that are many times more knowledgeable than him. Having people that know and provide you with advice does not work when you always thing that you are the smartest guy in the room and that the rules of the universe do not apply to you or when you think you can get away with breaking the law - which will likely be the case.
1571  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump for prison. on: August 31, 2022, 09:16:43 PM
Could somebody please list the bad things that Trump did? Please don't list opinions. Rather, list the real bad things he did. Also, mention whether or not Biden has done the same, and if Biden did it worse or not....

You don't get it. This is not about "good" and "bad", is about "legal" or "illegal". For example: Trying to press a governor to change the results of the elections: Illegal. Sending a mob to the Capitol: Illegal. And that is just the most evident an notorious because is public and has been investigated publicly, there must be piles of illegal doings just waiting to be uncovered once the guy looses the grip on the RP.

No, it's you that just don't get it. Your blab is simple hearsay and slander. There are videos of the Capitol cops ushering the rioters into the Capitol. There are videos of Trump stating that everything must be done peacefully. You simply slander because you can't find anything bad that Trump has done. But I showed you the dozens or hundreds of good things he did.

Time to get Biden and the Dems out of government. Look at the mess people are living in because of them... and the war.

Cool

No, you may have tried to ignore the investigation that has been done on the subject, but it is recorded and will be there as evidence for historians to consult. The true extent of Trump's actions is well documented and even a number of people from his of family and environment have made very clear that had tried to subvert the US people's will.

Again, "good things" is not the topic.
1572  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Dugin's daughter killed. Did she really say this? on: August 31, 2022, 09:12:43 PM
Honestly, I am still unable to comprehend the position of many of the participants in this discussion regarding whether they accept the death of a person in this way only because they disagree with him or they do not want to take a clear position.
My position is absolutely clear, that these people should be held accountable after they are stopped from promoting racist and hostile ideas within humanitarian frameworks. We do not bless their bombing, even if they are enemies of life itself.
Some will say the girl goes to hell for her ideas without regard to the whole system who has produced her in the form of a propaganda trumpet.

I think the position of those who think "good riddance" is quite clear. Dugina and other propagandists are considered combatants in this war and thus legitimate military targets. Not really difficult to understand.

FWIW I don't agree with that, and I think even the supporters of such actions should see that this is counterproductive and thus very unlikely that this was a work of Ukrainian intelligence / secret service / whatever. If they had the capacity to off someone in Moscow, they should and probably would pick a high ranking MOD/GRU/FSB officer or someone like that. Killing civilians, despicable as they may be, is a waste of resources and bad publicity. More likely that this Dugina thing is a result of some internal GRU shit.

True from a practical perspective, a very "low value target" in military and intelligence terms. However that assumes that any target in Moscow would be similarly protected which may not be the case. The problem with certain ideas and certain way of expressing them is that they are not neutral or are intended to put forward a posture on a topic, they are as harmful as a weapon. I am in favour of free expression, but calling for hate and kill goes beyond the acceptability line.
1573  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia May Have Passed Peak Oil on: August 31, 2022, 09:07:22 PM

There isn't a shortage of gas and oil yet. For Russia, they have vast land to drill for gas which it is all of us face the problem of where we buy without the burden of freight cost. EU for instance still hasn't found where to get gas this winter. Asia also has to buy from Russia also. Even if Russia have passed peak oil, do we have an alternative source?

Saudi is also not willing to cooperate with Biden. Gas drilling countries including Russia are just not working with EU or US since they were trying to kill this industry thru that kid Great Thunberg.

China drilling the South China Sea for gas is about to happen, by the way, I recently read the news about it and they were to partner with a drilling company from the Philippines.

There is no shortage, but current prices are pricing in a full stop of the RF gas to Europe. The war of aggression has a significant effect not only in practice but also in the mind and provision for risk that trading houses need to make to do business daily - sanctions have to be accounted for, even for companies that may have them in the future and gas prices have little reason to drop.
1574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: August 31, 2022, 09:04:02 PM
~Snip
Optimism is important even though things can change later because this is a game. Real Madrid are superior because of their quality, but Real Betis can also take advantage of opportunities to steal points. Whoever the opponent is Real Madrid is always ahead at this time even though the opponent looks strong so that it is easy to beat.

For the same week and day, Barcelona will away to Sevilla. I do not doubt the possibility of victory that will be achieved by barcelona especially after successfully defeating Valladolid with 4 goals. Barcelona continues to strengthen its performance, as evidenced by the quality of the players and the performance they have.

Betis is the classic counter-play team that is always looking for a weak spot or a weak moment to launch an attack, but that is something that may work only on limited occasions and Real Madrid currently is very well prepared. Scoring is quite critical, if Madrid hits first it may practically put and end to any dream from Betis of making the game good. Else, they may get more chances for a quick surprise.
1575  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake and odd provider's limits !!!!!! on: August 31, 2022, 08:58:57 PM
had a similar situation with sportsbet.io (odds automatically lowered for my account, banned from some promotions) and they haven't gone backwards since  (more than 8 months).
I had a similar experience, they blocked me from most of their promos(even though I wasn't using any promo in the past, noticed it when I was logged out and they had active promos which I couldn't see when I was logged in lol). That's when I made a switch to some other book because didn't feel respected enough ig

As for Stake, I haven't personally been blocked from any promo or got limited even when I was in good profit for two straight months(albeit it was almost a year ago  Huh ).
You aren't in much profit either(sorry but a profit of 700 USD isn't reason enough to get personal for a book like Stake imo). But would like to give you benefit of the doubt. Please share some screenshot if you can.
By any chance do you bet on tennis a lot?(have seen a few accounts get in trouble for betting on tennis ~ probably courtsiding or fixed matches).

Whatever the figure, money tends to be very personal for whoever has issues with using or withdrawing it. The promos are something different as they are a marketing tool for the company, not a right on itself, so they can freely play around in search of players that will eventually offer a good return on investment for the promotion and bonus received.

Despite, I would say that blocking is a bit extreme.
1576  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: August 31, 2022, 08:50:49 PM

Once a time gambling was centered around a large social event. Gambling house were made temporarily in places where there was a lot of crowd. But later on it became very popular with the people and occasionally gambling was organized. At that moment it starts to expand massively and settles well. Then it is also get legalized. And whenever gambling is conducted over the internet, it creates a world wide frenzy. Nowadays, people are gambling comfortably from their home.
History of gambling goes back to the ancient times.
Even in religious books there is so much references of the gambling - Hindu and chinese are very fond of gambling and they are good in it too.
For me I think there are different history of gambling which depends on era and region.
When you look at the asia history, you will see that it's quest different from the European gambling history and that of Egypt which is africa.
Difference regions with different history but looking at era and the type of gambling can make it different.

That is quite true, however there are also some similarities among the different regions and idiosyncrasies that you mention. While the details of the gambling and the games are very varied, particularly if you consider the games played in China and the fart East that seem to be quite different from the rest, the concept of betting as "setting a prediction" is common to all and very old.
1577  Economy / Gambling / Re: The latest cryptocurrency gambling on: August 31, 2022, 08:47:12 PM
I went through the site and I can see so many games available for interested players but I think he should great a better announcement thread for his casino if nothing had been done. The site looks real but I am not that familiar what some of the games available there. The site looks like a Chinese gambling site which could be cool if it has enough reputation to attract gamblers from the West.

ANN thread is a formal way of creating a casino thread where users could interact with the casino site's updates and will also be beneficial to the site because they could answer and clarify queries in case of confusion. It will also create a good impression on those who will get interested in the games and features that the site could offer.
if they can create ANN Thread then this is a formal showing of interest in crypto sites , and also we are in the section where many gamblers are seeking for place where to put our funds for playing and risking.
latest isn't necessary to trust instead it is our vision in old casinos to take a chance of playing with the support of old timer here in forum.

Yes, they are right, in fact, when an Ann thread is created on the site it is much easier for all the players to put their doubts and get answers to the questions, and we would also see more commitment from the owners, this is something that is remarkable.

However, when we analyze sites that do not have the mother tongue such as English, it is only local, whether it is Chinese, Arabic, whichever is different, it is a bit difficult to understand what they say, even so, when a translator is used, there are words that are translated wrong and this does not allow clarity about what they want to show, sometimes it is difficult to understand, and with just one translated word the whole context of a paragraph changes.
...

I agree with having an ANN thread as something required. Also, I am very familiar with problems in translation with a range of documents that sometimes can be quite complex. Particularly, legal conditions or sentences that have a legal or technical very specific meaning cannot be just translated as such, but they need to be interpreted to fully provide the context and true meaning.
1578  Economy / Gambling / Re: Poker tournaments why tournaments in other games on: August 31, 2022, 08:42:13 PM
Professional means that they get money from the poker. It becomes a job. Of course they well-focused and more experienced players. And they get advantage the same as in any other job - their experience helps to analyze situation on the table fast and predict the next steps of the opponents. When the common player need time to think what to do, the professional make his bet instantly. The most interesting situation is when several professionals plays. In such situation they begin to think. When i understood how it works i stopped play poker - just sometimes $5-10 for fun.

It is not only more focused or experienced, I recently listened to an interview with a professional (female BTW) poker player. She spoke about the preparation and how professionals understand the game. One of the key things is that they will be playing 7 hours a day, mostly against a computer, exploring different strategies and "lines of game". It is becoming even more professional since the internet.

but will have to.

The next city is Ulan-Ude, the capital of Buryatia. Located somewhere in the fucking russia.
It is from there that putin drives the most Buryat soldiers to be slaughtered in the war with Ukraine.
Poverty and despondency emanates from personnel from Ulan-Ude. Apparently, this is why the Buryats go even to death, just not to live there.

https://twitter.com/kyiv_duke/status/1562577853320814593

Regardless of pictures, there is no doubt that not all RF is treated or considered equally. The political weight of the regions is minimal compared to Moscow and St Petersburg. That is by design, keeping this regions poor keeps an steady supply of desperate and hungry men that would rather join the RF army than live in their home counties. Also, the less money, the less influence.

The military spending in the RF is 11% of the GDP, which for a large country with a GNP similar to Italy cannot end in anything that is not deprivation and underdevelopment for most of it.

There seem to be news of an increase of Ukrainian operations in the Kherson area. Bridges, command centres and depots seem to be having lots of RF soldiers smoking in forbidden areas.

Old one (pre-war) but worth reposting, mainly because it reminds me of countless hours spent in KSP Grin

Russian C300 committing suicide:

Loading...

It's a great example for all other Russian SAMs - which they are now repurposing for ground attacks but that's a whole other story - keep doing that, keep firing those defective outdated Soviet missiles and eventually one of them will go boomerang on you.

That was a terrorist attack from Ukrainian forces, that is a C-300 fired by Ukraine onto Ukraine, that is not a C300. That is caused by a chemical attack of the twisted Ukrainian spies and terrorist, that is just a test, that is not a missile, that is fake and photoshopped, the soldiers that fired it are well at home making love to nurses, that is due to a soldier smoking in the wrong place,...

All these assertions are true just because I say so and because it is on a RF telegram group and even if they all not all can be true at the same time you are a traitor for thinking otherwise.
