Do away with it or keep it? If do away with it, do you replace it with something, and if so what? If keep it, what do you do to address the funding shortfall that arises in 20 years?

There should be death penalty for spreading such agenda. Its dangerous to civilization, to children to people more then atomic bomb.

For me it will be at the time of world war 1, it was gruesome and hellish and something only the lucky survive, I know it sounds foolish .For second it will certainly be the time of revolution in America, it's simply fascinating!
2004  Other / Off-topic / Re: focus st vs mazda speed3 vs hyundai veloster which to buy? on: July 25, 2014, 01:36:55 PM
Mazdaspeed 3. The Veloster isn't built as well and the visibility is terrible. The Focus ST is probably comparable, but I prefer the fit and feel of Mazdas vs. Fords.

You shouldn't need to worry about the turbocharger; they all have ball-bearings and computer controls nowadays. If you're the type of person who wants extra dials on your dashboard, invest in a mechanical boost gauge (they're the most accurate kind) and an oil-pressure gauge, so you can tell if the intake is leaking boost or if something is wrong with the oil system. (an exhaust temperature gauge is also sometimes useful, because they can tell if the hot side of the turbo is overheating.) I never had problems with the turbo in my Passat 1.8t, but the oil pressure gauge did save my ass one cold day when the oil-cooler blew a gasket and I lost oil pressure. The gauge notified me a good 30 seconds before the Check Engine light started yelling at me, and that gave me time to get off the highway and park the car.
2005  Other / Off-topic / Re: Israel's future war: War of God and Magog on: July 25, 2014, 01:16:10 PM
The question then is what other countries will be part of the coalition?

In Ezekiel 38:5, we learn that the first ally Russia will have is “Persia.” Until 1935, of course, Persia was the legal name of the country we know today as Iran. So we know that Russia and Iran will build an alliance in the last days to attack Israel.

Ezekiel tells us that another country in the alliance will be what many English Bible translate as “Ethiopia.” The Hebrew word, however, is “Cush” and Cush is the upper Nile region that we now know as Sudan. While the current state of Ethiopia may also be involved in the war, the focus is really Sudan, which today, of course, is a radical Islamic Sunni state closely allied with Iran and Russia and deeply anti-Semitic and anti-Israel.
2006  Other / Politics & Society / Re: U.N. Says ISIS Fatwa Orders ALL Women In Mosul For Female Genital Mutilation on: July 25, 2014, 01:09:11 PM
I think that this is a hoax. The ISIS / ISIL is composed of fighters from all around the world, including regions where the Female Genital Mutilation is practiced (such as Somalia, Egypt and Sudan), as well as those from regions where it is not practiced (such as Chechenya and Uzbekistan). Since the latter group is having a majority, this will never be carried out.
The 'religion of peace' strikes again.  And there you have it.  Bush created ISIS. What is islam doing to stop ISIS from murdering, rioting and now mutilation?
What is Islam doing to stop it?

Those who are doing nothing agree with it which makes them no different…

Like you may have a problem with the tactics of the progressives, but you really don't have a problem with the outcome so you ignore the tactics of the progressives which makes you no different…

Like if a friend of yours commits a crime and you do nothing to stop them, you are just as guilty… It is simple
2007  Other / Off-topic / Re: Israel's future war: War of God and Magog on: July 25, 2014, 11:57:24 AM
1. Ezekiel 38:2 tells us that the war will be led be someone known as “Gog.” This is not a personal name. We’re not looking for someone named David Gog. Or Ahmed Gog. Or Dmitri Gog. Rather, “Gog” is a title, like a “Pharoah” or a “Czar.” Through the prophecy, this Gog is described as a military leader, a political leader, and a coalition builder. In Ezekiel 38:10 he is described as developing an “evil plan,” we know this is an evil man, a tyrant.

   2. The Hebrew prophet gives us more clues. This “Gog” is going to be from the “land of Magog.” One has to do some historical detective work to determine what Magog is, but it is possible. Flavius Josephus, the first century Roman historian, wrote in his famous book, The Antiquities of the Jews, that the people of Magog are the people whom the Greeks called “Scythians.” This is a critical clue because we know from history that the Scythians were a people group that migrated from the Middle East northward and settled north of the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea in the region we know today as Russia and the former Soviet Republics.

3.There are other interesting clues, as well. Ezekiel 38:15 says that Gog “will come from your place out of the remote parts of the north.” Ezekiel 39:2 says Gog will come “from the remotest parts of the north” and come “against the mountains of Israel.” The country that is farthest to the north in relation to Israel is Russia.

4.Thus, we can determine that a Russian dictator will build a diplomatic and military coalition to surround and attack the State of Israel in the End Times.

Ezekiel chapters 36 through 39 have been the subject of thought and debate among many, and the source of some movie plots and books.

Here are some observations from one Joel Rosenburg from his blog.  I listed just the first three.  Bold faced, etc I added for emphasis; will include the link when I am done.
http://flashtrafficblog.wordpress.com/2011/05/12/what-is-the-war-of-gog-and-magog-part-three-the-good-news/

   1. The Hebrew Prophet Ezekiel lived in Babylon (Iraq) more than 2,500 years ago and the Lord gave him a vision of events that would take place in the future.

   2. Ezekiel 38:16 specifically tells us these events will take place in the “last days” — that is in the End Times before the Messiah comes to set up His kingdom on earth.

   3. Ezekiel chapters 36 and 37 set the stage for the “War of Gog and Magog” by describing that Israel will be reborn as a country in the last days, the Jewish people will come back to the Holy Land from exile all over the world, the Jewish people will rebuild the ancient ruins and make the deserts bloom again. These things have all happened, and this suggests we are getting closer to the fulfillment of the next set of prophecies.

House of Cards , based on the British series by the same name, and with Kevin Spacey as Francis Underwood, the American counterpart to Ian Richardson's great Francis Urquhart. I just heard an interview with Spacey today in which he notes that both characters--including the direct address to the audience--derive from Shakespeare's Richard III, which I hadn't thought of until he said it, it was a good observation: the bard lives on.

Nutball: 'BUSINESSES ARE HIRING AT HISTORIC RATES'

Quote
On Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden declared that America's jobs picture is brighter than ever.

"Businesses are hiring at historic rates, with 52 consecutive months of net private sector job growth," said Biden in the newly released report supporting the reauthorization of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 1998, which President Obama signed on Tuesday.

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act reauthorization will use a $1.4 billion "job-driven checklist" tool to "ensure that the $17 billion in federal training funds are used more effectively," said a senior White House official. The program will also feature a $25 million Department of Labor award to develop a web-based "skills academy" for adult learners.

Obama and Biden's efforts to cast a positive light on America's jobs outlook, however, may face headwinds with voters. As the New York Times noted, "In fact, part-time jobs accounted for two-thirds of all new jobs in June." What's more, economist Ben Casselman of Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight states, "For the 49th time in 50 months, more jobseekers gave up looking than found work."

Obama and Biden's upbeat economic outlook stands in contrast to the views of voters. According to Gallup, 56% of Americans believe the economy is getting worse, versus just 39% who say it is improving.

Obama departed from the signing of the jobs-training reauthorization for a Democratic fundraising trip in California. The price to attend the reception and take a picture with Obama is $10,000, and it cost $32,400 to be a co-host of the event.

Gotta keep the money flowing to try to convince the boobs that things aren't getting worse come election time.
So the Feds are going to borrow more money to give their friends again to use our money to create Jobs which the feds will fail to enforce. Yet all of the new jobs will be for minorities and no one will be hired

20 million people have signed up for Obamacare.
http://time.com/2950961/obamacare-health-care-obama/
So a bunch of people who no longer could get their old insurance because of Obamacare have signed up because that is now the only way for them to get it? I'm sure you have a point here, could you just get to it?
2012  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who is the Speaker going to file a lawsuit with? on: July 24, 2014, 06:24:51 PM
Indeed. Liberals are *shocked*, but it is not a surprise to anyone who pays attention. The PPACA was politically expedient, and therefore passed, precisely because it relied on state exchanges. 39 states opted out, though, something that the central planners in their infinite wisdom somehow did not foresee. That left Obama with an unworkable law because the law only allows them to subsidize premiums for insurance purchased on state exchanges.
Obama will ask for another ruling. If that isn't in his favor he'll just grab a pen and change the law to include federal exchanges...he's already shown even though he's supposed to be a constitutional lawyer, he has little regard for the law.

There's already so much shit to deal with after someone dies. Inviting the fucking Gestapo to goose step through it all is cruel and shitty. People who are okay with that are monsters. Just bitter and jealous little monsters.
2014  Other / Politics & Society / Re: econ fagz, would estate tax solve income inequality? on: July 24, 2014, 06:16:35 PM
Wealthy people have liabilities too. Their total monthly payments to keep everything running smooth might even exceed Average Joe's annual income. It's not as easy as "the family will just take over" either. You have bankers, lawyers, accountants, executors, trustees, beneficiaries, etc. to deal with. Everyone wants a piece of the pie, and everyone wants to be sure their piece of the pie is the correct size. So the courts might freeze all assets, or the banks might lock the account until a court orders otherwise, etc. Now it's up to the rest of the family, who might all be fighting, or at the very least are grieving, to come up with the means to pay the bills. But since these guys are Average Joe, and they have their own lives to take care of, they simply can't afford it. Or maybe a kid or two gives up their own home(s) so they can save their parents' home and/or business / whatever. And at the end of the day, assuming they all make it through the initial battles and the dust settles, it's possible that none of them even have the wherewithal to keep the wheels turning, so income dries up and they lose the bulk of the estate anyway.
2015  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who is the Speaker going to file a lawsuit with? on: July 24, 2014, 06:13:05 PM
The way the law is written, federal subsidies are only supposed to be available to people who sign up through STATE exchanges. Since a bunch of states didn't set up exchanges those subsidies aren't available to poor people, so if they're given subsidies it will be breaking the law.

Of course the argument here is going to be "but he's the president. It doesn't matter what the law is, Obama can just give out the subsidies anyway!"

40k salary = (40000 - 30000) = 10000 * 17% = 1700 / 40000 = 4.25%
400k salary = (400000 - 30000) = 370000 * 17% = 62900 / 400000 = 15.7%
2M salary = 1970000 * 17% = 334900 / 2M = 16.75%
2B salary = 1.97B * 17% = 334.9M / 2B = 16.75%

The higher the salary, the closer to the 17% of said salary you would get under that plan (not weighing in on the merit....yet).
2017  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who is the Speaker going to file a lawsuit with? on: July 24, 2014, 06:04:55 PM
the law says you violate it if you don't have that by this date

obama says: ok you violated the law by not making the deadline. But given the circumstance, i wont prosecute you unless you miss that this date in the future. everybody in all three branches do it all the time, and it's totally legal.

nothing was modified because hypothetically, they can totally make a new law in the future saying that those businesses that made the original deadline would be entitled to some tax perks while those taking the extended deadline won't. that's the difference between modifying the law and exercising prosecutorial discretion

the more you linger on this, the dumber you look, rigon. just admitting that the speaker's lawsuit is frivolous and you just didn't like the law - not like we all have any doubt what your real motivation is - would have earned your more respect.

thanks for playing anyways.
Apparently the new rule of law is "Obama gets the make up the rules and laws as he goes."I wonder how this is going to go over when a republican president does the same thing.

I watched Game of Thrones off and on for a few seasons but I couldn't keep up with who was who, too many characters if you don't watch it religiously.  So, right before the beginning of this season, they had a marathon and showed the entire series leading up to this first episode of this season, and i watched them, so now i am loving it.   It's on HBO.

I'm afraid I gave up on Game of thrones but I really like "The Americans". Anyone watch that?

While I don't agree with capital punishment, if the state is going to kill somebody by execution then they shouldn't lower themselves to the level of the most sadistic killers and torture somebody for two hours before killing him.

Simple question: Can you give me a good reason why we should not delay fines associated with the affordable care act given the troubles we had with the website and the initial misjudgements in terms of how long it would take the system to adjust outside of "it's the law!"?
an underestimation of how long it would take for 300million people to adjust means the law need to be canceled?
really? really? REALLY??

that's the answer to your question, boy. your argument sucks, that's the reason.
No it just shows that he doesn't really give a shit about legal institutions, he is just still pissy over the Affordable Care Act in general; which is his primary motive for complaint here: not getting his way.
A law that was duly debated and passed should be modified at the whim of the president in direct conflict with text that was contained in the law?
really?
And btw, thanks for admitting and agreeing with me that Obama broke his own law.
It is true that presidents have refused to enforce certain laws before, such as Thomas Jefferson with the Alien and Sedition Acts. But all of the cases I can think of were when the president disagreed with the law, usually on Constitutional grounds, and was actively working to change or repeal the law. That's not the case with President Obama.
boehner and the house tards tried to repeal the damn law 50 times, boehner himself said he wanted the employer mandate delayed, and now everyone is up in arms crying about how obama is not enforcing a part of a law they hate in the first place?
