1821  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Short term solid projects? on: February 20, 2021, 11:52:46 PM
Why don't you just top up on any of those coins you already have? A lot of new altcoins today are short term plays and some of them already pumped 5X to 10X since December last year. Are you willing to take the risk? If so, then check projects on BSC and Polkadot.

1822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB is No. 4 (3RD NOW) - 3rd/4th/5th again on: February 20, 2021, 11:46:44 PM
BNB back to 3RD.

F**k with the updates. BNB, DOT, ADA, and even USDT will be interchanging more often because their market caps are just too close to each other. A pullback or a pump from one coin will change the ranking again (just check CMC or Coingecko).

Let's stick to the reasons behind price surge and decline.
1823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: February 20, 2021, 11:34:32 PM
~ The only threat is from Madrid I think and not with Barcelona, so with that I'm still very confident Atletico will stay on top until the end.
Barca might be struggling but they are also two games behind Real Madrid. They could be a threat too if they win those matches.

Atletico lead looked so big, but few bad games and things are getting interesting again.
Certainly! It helped that they were able to build a two digit lead in the past to stay ahead despite dropping five points in their last two games.

The pressure is building up on them. We'll see if they can handle it.
1824  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: February 20, 2021, 11:10:35 PM
ANFIELD has been renamed to ANFAILED by some supporters Grin Oh boy, this was like watching Man United early in the group stage of the Champions league. They suck in the PL but wins on their CL matches.I know there are still 13 games to rack up points and catch up but I think they will be heading to the Europa League. I don't see them winning CL.
1825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Insane Gas Fees on: February 20, 2021, 10:34:39 PM
~ In my opinion, you have adjusted fees to the maximum and the insane fees appear on the transaction processing screen. Change it to a minimum and try again.
Mate, check the screenshot again. The settings were on Basic and low fee was at 1.3 ETH with 2.3 ETH as fast. Unless OP edited the image, what appeared there seems legit or maybe a glitch in the wallet as pointed out by @shinratensei_.
1826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB is No. 4 (3RD NOW) - okay 4th again. on: February 20, 2021, 10:22:50 PM
~
Their new Binance Smart Chain is the ETH killer
I wouldn't go that far yet but, yeah, BSC is the ETH fees killer.

~ and then the price will be corrected.
~
Actually we've seen a major dump today, BNB is down 20% today, hopefully it will not be a start of a long dump.
BNB has dropped backed to fourth after that 20% decrease in the last 24 hours.

Of all the coins in the top 5, only BNB have dump.
Everyone's expecting a price dump after it went past $200 and then $300. A 4X in the last 14 days isn't that bad Wink
1827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I think POLKADOT is still really undervalued on: February 19, 2021, 10:38:41 PM
~
You got a point, but I believe it will only in the price/market cap. If you deep dive into the Polkadot ecosystem, you will appreciate and surprise, especially they are using the Substrate framework for creating different platforms. There are some projects that are starting to shift from the Ethereum ecosystem to Polkadot, you can see the list here: https://coinmarketcap.com/polkadot/.
I also check Polkadot projects from time to time. I won't compare the tech but in terms of numbers, BSC projects are catching up.

Why not in Binance Smart Chain? As I remember, there was a lot of issue against Binance before, especially on the launch of their so-called "DEX", which a lot of people complaining it's not a DEX/Decentralized exchange.
Binance DEX is old news. I haven't visited that exchange for a long time but the last I remember is that they only traded BEP-2 tokens and not BEP-20 that's on BSC exchanges/swaps.
1828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB is No. 4 (3RD NOW) on: February 19, 2021, 10:05:50 PM
For those who are still curious to the recent price surge, you can take a look at the Total Value Locked (TVL) in BSC's Defi ecosystem

source
^ Not that It needs to be said but you need BNB to use BSC Grin

Now, let's take a look at Ethereum's Defi ecosystem

  • Locked ETH - 7.74 Million (from 7.79 in the last 10D)
  • Locked BTC/WBTC - 48.8K (from 52.2K in the last 10D)
source

^ As you can see, there was a tiny drop in TVL the past days. Those who moved to BSC are probably shark traders/investors while whales remained at Ethereum.

Just by comparing the two, I felt more bullish on BNB Grin That's $42 billion compared to $11 billion. There's still a lot of room to grow,
1829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: altcoin binance smartchain wort it? on: February 19, 2021, 02:34:51 AM

I dont think safepal will reach 5$ in the short time, the product of safepal only a software wallet and a hardware wallet.
Apart from the products, SFP is also available for farming in DeFi apps like PancakeSwap but I agree that SFP needs more utility to push more adoption and eventually pump the price.

Based on Playstore statistic, Trust Wallet users is 50x more than SafePal users.
But TWT price is 5x lower than SFP, so from that fact i dont think SFP will go up in the short time.
You also have to consider the supply factor.

Data from CoinGecko:
  • TWT ($0.71) - 346,951,186 / 1,000,000,000
  • SFP ($2.86) - 108,166,667 / 500,000,000
1830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / BNB is No. 4 (3RD NOW) - 4th/3rd/5th again on: February 19, 2021, 02:17:17 AM
Yeah, that's right. BNB has overtaken both DOT and ADA in terms of market capitalization. I think this is largely due to the many projects and users/traders/investors migrating to the Binance Smart Chain.

^ Checking the price reminded me of the time I sold my BNBs at $45 Grin

UPDATE: 3RD NOW

(taken from CoinGecko)

UPDATE 2: DOT has overtaken BNB for 3RD

UPDATE 3:BNB back to 3RD. F**k with the updates. BNB, DOT, ADA will be interchanging more often. Just check CMC

For the still curious Joe's out there, here are some links if you want to check projects on BSC:

You can use Metamask to access DEXes and DAPPs on BSC (Tutorial). Gas fees only at 10 Gwei.
1831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk Profited $2.2B Pumping DogeCoin: The blockchain analysis on: February 18, 2021, 11:59:30 PM
~ I loaded the entire DogeCoin blockchain into a SQL database and found that the Whale Wallet transferred money to an obscure charity just as Musk tweeted about donating to that charity.
While it's probable, we would appreciate if you could lay out all the details in your post how he profited $2.2 Billion? I'm not sure what to make of deposit to a charity. IIRC, he also made an offer to reward those big bag holders if they sell.
1832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I think POLKADOT is still really undervalued on: February 18, 2021, 11:47:14 PM
I have this funny theory that projects like DOT and ADA would have been closer to ETH by marketcap by now if not for the Binance Smart Chain. Binance was smart enough to pull a move under their nose Grin The've taken a lot of markets (DEX and DAPPS) that were expected to migrate from Ethereum.

^ See what I mean?
1833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you get mad when the price of your cryptos go higher after you have sold on: February 18, 2021, 11:33:16 PM
Yeah it happened to everyone and still happening to most traders. There are only a few among us that are emotionally stable when it comes to trading.

Do you also encounter this? And how do you deal with it?
I do and just forget it, that means if you are not lucky enough to hodl your tokens or coins dude. I have been doing it so many times but that coin is not the only way to generate profit. You are still having another chance with another coin too. Don't be sad and try to invest in another coin that has the possibility to do the same as your old coin.
There are a bunch of coins in the market that has very big potential for growth.
This is probably the right mindset and one that I'm applying right now.

There are at least three coins/tokens I've sold that are now 2X my selling price but I'm still glad because most of the coins/tokens I've reinvested have also gone up.
1834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cardano is most likely an outdated an overvalued coin on: February 18, 2021, 05:09:45 AM
Cardano got recently some attention by speculants but for fundamentals, Cardano is very weak:

Cardano is an old coin and based on outdated models, compared to advanced coins like Ethereum 2.0, Cosmos or Avalanche.
What made you say it's an outdated model? It's on POS and they are scheduled to release smart contracts next month. The same models being used (will be used) by the same blockchains you call as advanced.
Based on tech and innovation, I'll quote here:

Quote
Hi! Yes, I wrote Tron and Cardano is outdated and not innovative coins. And here is why:

I wrote it based on tech because every project needs to consider a moving market:
Yesterday it was fast payment
After it came ICO and later DeFi
And finally is coming NFT

All projects need to adopt especially DeFi and NFT, developers need to develop fast. Tron didn't deliever, only empty promises, Cardano didn't deliever, only empty promises. For 4 years now. Only marketing while people don't do research and buy. DeFi and NFT does not work for such outdated projects, nobody will use it. Price is just so high because of good marketing from Tron and Cardano. People believe it while it's only empty promise but in reality outdated tech.
It's a quote from me.

I would compare Cardano to BCH, Tron or EOS. Cardano is a very similar age. All coins failed to deliever and will be dead coins soon. Tron is already abandoned because Justin Sun failed to meet his expectations.
Poor comparison. Ethereum failed so many times to meet deadlines on ETH 2.0 but you still call them advance.
Your comparison is poor. Ethereum is a running project, has proven huge adoption which Tron and Cardano never achieved and it's a huge difficulty to move Ethereum to Ethereum 2.0. Vitalik is a genius, he has developed and and he knows very well it needs time. Ethereum 2.0 will be huge we haven't seen before.

Because most coins, when initially started, have a vision and try to look if it works. Cardano failed to deliever it's initial vision (it started already 4 years ago and failed last bull cycle). New coins will replace it and people holding Cardano now will pay a high price.
What's their initial vision that they fail to achieve?
Delievering a working product comparable to Ethereum 1.0
Quoting for future reference. Neither you nor I have a crystal ball to say crypto community won't use their products once their smart contracts are launched. Time will tell.

BSC and PolkaDot are already sucking out projects that were originally launched in Ethereum and Cardano has a catching up to do. Users are also moving out of eth DEX and DAPPS because of the insane fees. There is also no clear timeline for Ethereum 2.0 to be launched and it might take several years. Before that happens, Cardano platform is already set for POS, DeFi, and NFT.

I wonder lang kung pano nya yun makaka cash out medyo may kahirapan since malaking halaga.
UU nga eh no? Medyo nakakatakot tuloy, baka maisipan nia mag cashout ma bankrupt ang coins.ph Cheesy

Pero siguro, di nia icacash out yan.

And what more kapag ipinasok na pa yan sa alts.
@cabalism13 for Mayor!  Grin

Since BNB addition has already been announced, let me add this:

^ The price is pretty cheap and I think there is also no minimum wager requirement.

Unfortunately, I don't have BNB (apart from the dividends I got today) to buy the box. I tried to click "buy" and this one popped up

^ If I clicked "exchange", will Betfury deduct it from the BTC I have in the platform?

PDAX is a licensed Philippine crypto exchange and it enforces KYC verification before anyone can trade.
Conversion rate is $1 = Php50

This is still a developing story and the user refuses to share a screenshot of the demand letter and SMS.

What would you do if you're the one in this situation? It's the exchange's fault but they might close the account of the user if refuses to give it back. They know his name and address too.

UPDATE: Here's the demand letter sent by the PDAX customer service

"kung kailan nag ATH nag maintenance naman"
Hindi ka pa ba sanay? Coins.ph is asking Grin

Related incident malamang.

OR pwede din ganito nangyari:
Apparently people bought Bitcoin at $6.1k due to a mistake in their exchange... people have withdrawn the btc from exchange and exchange is demanding it back

Ba't mo inekis?

Binance Nigeria immediately halted Naira deposits upon announcement but they still offer it on their P2P plaform - Binance Adds NGN FIAT/NGN Pair and Launches Express Mode for P2P Trading in Nigeria

What I always find it amusing to say the least is the hypocrisy of those institutions, the bank closed his account for its link with cryptocurrencies and at the end of the email you can see that despite the huge inconveniences that they are causing him they still claim that they will be happy to serve him in the future, which is completely ridiculous,
The way I see it, these smaller/commercial banks were already lenient with their users that were involved in crypto until the CBN reminded them of the previous circular and directed them to enforce it.

I'm pretty sure that if that happened to me I'll never have an account with that bank ever again and I'm pretty sure that I'm not alone when it comes to that train of thought.
You'll never be able to open if that's the case because all banks are instructed to close crypto related accounts.
